PC is more expensive, but you're paying for higher quality in your games.
Consoles are, without a doubt, cheaper. And if you're somewhat limited in your cash options, then yes, I'd go for console.
My issue is not with the logic here, which is sound. My issue is with this.
I always love being grouped into a stereotype. Everyone who plays on PC apparently is a basement dwelling neckbeard, and not someone who just expects a bit more out of their games than consoles can offer. Yeah, I'm totally okay with that. I won't rise to the bait, because that is pretty much what that statement is, but I just want to point out how not fucking cool that is.

Story speculations eh?
It's much better to know nothing about the story so when the game is released, it'll be a fresh and enjoyable new experience. Speculations will mostly lead to disappointment and false story that won't be in the game anyway.
I want this game so badly. Only 3 more weeks to go. 3 more weeks to go

Jesus fuck, is this still going on?
Are we now just arguing about who's preferred platform's fanbase is more toxic? Really?
Do you realize how petty and childish you're all being? You're no better than the people you're quoting at this point.
Everyone just take a step back, take a deep breath, and fucking chill out.

I don't have anything AGAINST consoles. Unless it's the XBOX One. In fact, I played on consoles most of my gaming life.
There are three advantages that consoles have over PCs. That's price, sheer ease of use, and couch co-op. Unfortunately, for some ungodly reason, console devs have been moving AWAY from couch co-op, which gets rid of one of the few reasons I see to own a console.
I can understand wanting to play on console, I just wish people would stop claiming that PC's aren't superior to consoles in graphics, performance, and experience customization. Because they fucking are. And people who claim they aren't have no idea what they're talking about. You pay more for a PC because you're paying for higher quality in your games, and you also pay in the time you spend wrangling with games and getting them to work with your mods. That's the price a PC gamer pays for that quality alongside the monetary cost. Console gamers don't have to deal with that fucking bullshit like PC gamers do, 99% of the time they can just pop in their disk and start playing. But as I said, they pay their price in inferior graphics and performance.
It's a question of what you're willing to deal with with your games when you choose between console and PC. You want ease of use and don't mind some poor textures and being locked at 30 FPS? Go for console, dammit. You want the most out of your games graphically and are willing to deal with occasional shit-poor PC ports and general bullshit every now and then? Fucking go PC then.
It's not a question of one platform being superior to the other, it's a question of what your personal preference is.
TL;DR: It's your fucking opinion, Larry, no one fucking cares. God.
2and900 liked a post in a topic by Seyren in [Battlefront] New PS4 Trailer + Leaked Strings (MAY contain all the content the game will have)
And in my attempt of posting this thead for the third time while carefully not pressing backspace outside the text field and losing everything in the process:
Sorry for bugging again with Battlefront news, but i feel someone has to, so sorry if i'm being annoying, but i'm really mad about how the game is s far and i feel like telling everyone about how is it going.
So, the first thing:
Sony Revealed a Trailer about Battlefront and i found it quite interesting because it really shows in a graphic scale who this game is aimed for, that is, filthy casuals Nostalgic adults that saw the movies and Kids of a young age, so this could really be any game, and i would respect that, but this is really disrespectful towards the ones that asked a real Battlefront game, and not a Star Wars themed shooter with a lot of lacking content, but meh, moving on, i just found it interesting to watch.
Now i'm going to show you leaked strings from the game. What is this exactly? pretty simple, chunks of text stored in the game, and apparently they didn't remove it from the Battlefront demo (which usually happens, no one bothers doing that because is kind of annoying and can screw up some references depending on how the game is coded).
So, this means that, in THIS BUILD, they had this content, just removed, but this is a really
build close to launch and i believe they won't be adding much more, they are one month ahead from release, and everything should be already done, so it is "safe" to say that this could be all the content the game will have, but we don't really know when this build was made, but probably close.
What i'm trying to say is :This is a spoiler of what everything Battlefront MAY have, and if not, won't be much more because the game is coming out soon. I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt, but i guess i shouldn't.
Here is a google doc with all the leaked strings posted in a reddit thread:
and the thread if you are curious:
Now, as the disclaimer says, this may not be the final build, but i think it looks like a close one. Since many of you may not feel like reading all, i'll sum up the important things.
In the remote case you don't want to be spoiled (Why?) Just don't read.
Here's everything stored in the doc that got extracted.
I'm not adding the *Out of place ones, since they may be not in the game, but you can take a look at them.
12 Blasters. (Primary weapons, not star cards).
This is what they should be according to the descriptions(Or not, it's a guess), i'll put a normal gun counterpart:
3 Snipers (One of them is a modified version of T-21 with a zoom, and LESS fire rate, so probably a sniper) 3 Assault Rifles 1 Light Machine Guns 3 Pistols. 1 Shotgun (Not really sure, but it's the jawa gun according to the description, may be). 1 Weapon i can't identify (T-21 is a weapon with a REALLY low fire rate and shoots big blasters, so i can't really tell)
30 Star cards/Pickups (They are mixed together so we can't tell which one is which, at least we know 3 of them are pickups).
6 Grenades (Thermal, Impact, Flash, Smoke, Imploder, Ion) 2 Snipers (DLT-20A and Cycle rifle) 1 Buffs (Removes blaster overheat). 3 Blaster modifiers (Explosive, Cluster, Ion) (Can't really tel the difference between the two). 1 Grenade Launcher (The one from the coop i think). 3 Rocket Launchers (One of them being infantry focused) 1 Pistol (Scout Pistol) 1 Shotgun? (The wookie crossbow, my guess it is) 8 Confirmed Powerups (The ones from the beta) 1 Possible powerups (Card Refresh(removes card cooldowns)). 2 Droids(I guess they are powerups? R5D4 Droid and Viper Probe Droid) 1 Others (Jump pack) 5 Traits
What is this? It's the "passive skill" you have aside the cards, Sharpshooter was the only one in the beta, you upgrade the skill by doing certain actions, the Sharpshooter gets upgraded everytime you do a headshot and gets downgraded each time you die.
Each skill has three levels. The method of the rest are either all headshots or it is unknown (hopefully not all headshots)
Berserker (1/Gives you MORE HP regen. 2/Even more Regen. 3/Gives you HP each kill). Sharpshooter (1/Reduces cards cooldown which each headshot. 2/More. 3/Even more). Bodyguard (1/ Reduces damage from explosives, 2/as you thought, the higher level, the less /3 Yep that's it). Scout (1/Sprinting won't reveal you on the scanner. 2/Shooting won't either lol. 3/Killing someone resets the heat) ^I find the third one from scout ridiculous and also this is not a skill Bounty Hounter(1/Low chance of getting a power card each kill. 2/Chance increases 3/Resets cooldown of your power card) Now as you can see people is probably going to have Either scout for freaking reducing removing the heat or Bounty Hunter to farm Power Cards. and Reducing the cooldown of yours. Combining this with a grenade and you have a grenade fest.
Now i'm assuming from the description of the bounty hunter you do get cards by killing people.
Now these seem to be some default loadout cards that will be given at the start of the game, there are even hero loadouts so my guess is these are static loadouts for specific soldiers, or missions like the Tatooine one. Having this to an extent in a multiplayer map is probably the closest thing we'll get to classes.
REBEL SOLDIER QUARREN HEAVY GUNNER RODIAN SNIPER ISHI TIB JETPACK SOLDIER DUROS SHADOW SOLDIER SULLUSTIAN DEMOLITION *(Alderaan Honor Guard? - may be map specific/based on hero ability) Imperials:
STORMTROOPER SHOCK TROOPER BIKER SCOUT JUMPTROOPER SHADOW TROOPER DEMOLITION TROOPER
Heroes and Villians.
This is probably the ones we're getting.
Darth Vader Luke Skywalker Emperor Palpatine Han Solo Boba Fett Princess Leia To see the skills of each hero see the doc but probably nothing to surprise you.
Vehicles and Turrets
SPEEDER BIKE T-47 AIRSPEEDER AT-ST AT-AT TIE FIGHTER X-WING A-WING TIE INTERCEPTOR MILLENNIUM FALCON SLAVE 1 E-WEB (Turret pickup) ATGAR (This is the Hoth charged turret) DF-9 (Aka white spawn killer turret) TRANSPORT *(may be only AI controlled) TURBO LASER (The Empire turrets from the death star, as probably seen in Sullust Y-WING *(may be only AI controlled, as in beta)
Hoth Tatooine Sullust Endor Multiplayer Modes:
Walker Assault Supremacy Drop Zone Droid Run Cargo Fighter Squadron Hero Hunt Heroes VS Villians Blast Missions: (To look what they are about see the doc, this will be a short summary)
Probe Droids (Kill Imperials before they can find out we are here) Beggar's Canyon (X-Wing mission, probably kill TIEs) Endor Chase (Kill the rebels before they escape) Overpower (Conquer a Sullust factory and probably you are using Vader at some point) The Dark Side (Vader and Palpatine conquer a Hoth Base) Extraction (Unknown: It literally says: "-Hero Moment 2: Extraction description") Invasion (Defend the Shield generator from the imperials until we get outta here boys) Survival (Not going to bother to put the exciting plot of a wave survival, you always control rebels)
Sullust Tatooine Hoth Endor Battles (More exciting and engaging plot, 1 in each planet)
The "Plot" in the battles is split in two, so chances are, you get to choose what objective you want, attacking as rebels or defending as imperials, or anything of the sort.
Literally the same plot, so i assume is the same thing but with heroes, i don't know.
Duros IshiTib Quarren Rodian Sullustan Races (Female):
Twi'lek Zabrak Emote Strings:
BADFEELING THEBLAME THEBROFIST THECHEER DISTURBING DOORDONOT FINGERINAIR FINGERWAG THEFLEX HANDEXPLOSION HANDONHIP HANDCUFFS HANDSONHEAD ISHOTFIRST IMPRESSED IONSHOCK JACKHAMMER LIGHTSABERFIGHT THELOL LOOKELSEWHERE NOOOOOO ONEWITHTHEFORCE ROAR SALUTE SAYWHAT SHADOWBOXER THESHRUG THESMELL THUMBSUP THETRAP TUSKENVICTORY WAVE ROBOT The only thing left is the achievements but screw that.
So this is more or less the total content we'll get, what do you guys think? I think it's kind of accurate even if maybe misses a few things, maybe not much more than that.
Now they said Hardline had a low amount of weapons, i didn't play it, but this seems to beat it, although Battlefront did not outstand for the amount of different weapons, so i can't really talk on there.
To be honest if this is what we are taking i wouldn't mind it if i was like 10~15$ less if the missions/Battles are short, but i guess it may take a few hours to play it, we don't know the lenght of the missions so we might even be surprised.
The amount of missions + Battles + Survival may take the length of a full campaign, just without a story, and you can play it with a friend, so i guess that's a plus for the singleplayer/Coop side.
Now, the multiplayer may be as dull as it was in the beta, so, in the case the multiplayer gets boring in a low amount of time (Which chances are, probably yes), the game may lose all it's value being a MP Game.
After reading all this, if this is the full game, i think it would have kind of worked, if the gameplay was not that dumbed down and simple with the token system, everything relies on that, and i think it may have not lost such amount of value if we had more community elements and things from the previous Battlefield. Actually a Star Wars Battlefield Re-skin is something i would have looked foward to, but unfortunately it's not the case.
Not sure if someone is going to bother reading all this, but if you do, thanks for taking the time, and also, if you are also concerned about the future of this game, leave some thoughts about how much the game will last until people starts to get bored of it or anything that comes up in your mind, anything works.

What happened to these just being cheat codes??
2and900 liked a post in a topic by Mexiguy in Battlefront Beta: My Impressions
It just feels like a generic, mediocre, by-the-numbers shooter with a spray coat of Star Wars in it.
Maybe they should have at least made it a full Battlefield clone, then at least it would have been remotely interesting.

Um...to the best of my knowledge none of the Far Cry games are related except in name. At least not the ones with numbers attached.
This looks like it would just be an extended version of the Kalinag missions from Far Cry 4. Much as I loved the bow and arrow, I honestly don't think of it as Far Cry without a huge arsenal of weapons to choose from.
But maybe this will inspire somebody out there to reboot Turok?
