lately I discovered that Angry Joe used my soundtrack in the intro of his "Game of Thrones" review and I'm so happy about that, I'm composing music for almost 15 years now and this is huge privilege and awesome recommendation for my work. If someone of you guys need some music for your Twitch / Youtube channels or other stuff I can create unique soundtracks for you, if your project is interesting enough I will be able to create even for free, I'm so happy that I can collaborate with this awesome community. What follows is an explanation of what you can do on the forums and how to get involved with our console divisions.
Using the Forums and the AJSA Discord
In order to prevent spam or people advertising, new accounts are only allowed to make two posts during their first 24 hours of membership, once the 24 hours are up you will be able to post normally. Use that first day to take a look around the forums, check out the upcoming events we are planning to run, join the AJSA Discord channel, join the console groups if the option is available to you, and to personalize your profile.
How To: After joining the AJSA forums you can customize your profile by adding an avatar, signature, banner, and edit your about me section. By clicking on your username on the top right of the screen you can access a drop down menu where you can go to your profile or edit your account settings. If you click on profile you will be taken to your main profile page, an avatar can be uploaded by clicking on the "profile photo" button to the left of your username. To the right of your profile name is an edit profile and cover photo button, clicking on edit profile will open a tab where you can edit your information and about me setting, clicking on cover photo will allow you to upload a banner to your profile that will appear behind your banner. Choosing the account management button from your profile drop down menu will take you to a page where you can change your email, your password, and where you can edit a signature that will appear on the bottom of all your forum posts (please keep the length of your signature within reason).
The link to join the AJSA Discord can always be found in this thread and as the pinned tweet of the AJSA Twitter account. Once Discord is installed you can edit your avatar, profile, and voice settings by clicking on the gear icon near the bottom left of the app.
Where To: When creating threads on our forums please try to post things in the correct section, if something is placed in the wrong area a moderator or admin will move your thread to the correct place. The General Discussion forum is the place to talk about things that don't have their own dedicated section, you might talk about company news, a rumored game announcement that doesn't have an exclusive platform or genre attached to it, your favorite game mechanics, boss fights, stories, etc. Under the General section you can find sub-forums for off-topic discussions, which is where posts that have nothing to do with video games or the game industry go, and the AngryJoeShow section which is where discussions on Joe's content are to be posted. Community Content has sections for you to post your own work, this can include art, video content, written reviews, or links and schedules for times that you stream games. The Crowdfunding Campaigns forum is the place to share video game fundraising campaigns that you are interested in, these can cover sites like Kickstarter, Fig, Indiegogo, etc. Platform Gaming Central is for discussions on platform specific game events, to discuss news and updates focused on an individual platform, discussions of console exclusive games, if you want to talk about a specific version of a game, and tech help can be found in the PC section. Last Gens is the place to discuss any console or handheld games or systems from the 360/PS3/PSP era and before. Genre Gaming Central is the place to discuss PC games and multi-platform titles, if there is not a specific forum for the genre of the game you want to talk about or the game involves multiple genres use the Other Games section. Board & Role-Playing Games Central are for discussions of board and tabletop games.
The AJSA Discord includes multiple text and voice channels. The Announcements section is only able to be posted in by AJSA Admin and will be used to let everyone in the Discord know about upcoming gaming events, new articles on the AJSA homepage, important updates, and when Joe posts new reviews. General is the place to chat with other members. We have rooms to post videos and images, a place to talk about movies and TVs, and a spoiler room if you want to discuss plot elements of recently released games, movies, or TV episodes. The AJSA_Help room is for asking for help if you need to know something about the AJSA, if you need tech help, help with Discord, or have a similar issue you want to find help with. Stream_Team_Streams are for our Stream Team members to post announcements when their streams start. The General voice chat room is a place to go if you just want to talk to other members about games or random topics, the Gaming Rooms are for people to get together to play games at any time, and the other voice rooms are typically named after and reserved for our PC gaming events.

What's funny is how punishing the original on SNES was, no driving assist at all so if you fell off the track better kick it into overdrive with the Star power-up...if lucky enough to get them. Just like I was telling Legos in another thread, miss the good ol days when even the simple games were a challenge.
Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by Scohui in Worst games you have played
Thank you Crazycrab for reminding me that Burnout paradise was a huge disappointment for me even though it was pc. They fucked it up by making you see the same scenery over and over and over....and paid for the game.
I have a few games that are known for being bad but I haven't played them so I'll talk about games I have played.
Sakura Swimclub: IT'S SHIIIT like is there even a story in this or is it just smuggling titties on Steam? FOR 10€!? I didn't pay for it tho.
Chaos Domain: This game tries to be like Contra, but....just.....noooooo
NNPD Milk of Ultra Violet?: What the fuuuuuck?
Fallout Shelter: I know it's a mobile game but I will include it anyway. It's poop. It isn't anything ppl online said. It's just a facebook game on mobile.
Unturned: I don't really like this game because I can't figure out how to turn on multiplayer or if can even turn it on and the singleplayer experience is as boring as it gets.
Any clicker game: Cancer.
The Binding of Isaac: It's not a bad game obviously but I was just disappointed with it's optimization as it was surprisingly laggy and I wish I had bought Rebirth instead.
I think that's all but I'm probably forgetting some but that might be a good thing.
Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by Ghaleon in Steam Summer Sale Today
well back when they had those weekly, and 8 hourly flash deals during summer/winter, the deals often WERE better. But th en they got rid of that, and they said the deals would remain just as good as if you had waited for the flash deals, and that was true... for like 1 year. Now I can't help but notice they are pretty much the same as ordinary sales now.
Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Steam Summer Sale Today
Well, I should have been excited for Steam Sale like usual... but after I found Humble Bundle and Bundle Stars which gives me 10 games at once that's discounted right now for just $1 - $2, my life has changed, and my wallet, is surprisingly still full!
Still, when the stars align and the time is right, it still have cheaper deals than what's on discount sites right now. Just need to know the right bargain.
Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by Shagger in THE MANDATE, ITS BEEN 4 YEARS JOE
The first thing i should point out thats its very unlikely Joe will see this post. This forum is not a effective way to rwach him directly
This isn't the only game with promising kickstarters and stuff that got Joe and others exited that's now turned to shit (cough...Star Citizen...cough), and its disappointing, but no reason for Joe to retract what he said in a 4 year old video. If you want people to dicuss this then... dicuss it? Give us details! Why is the game "REVOLTING" now in you opinion? Any further info you can provide? Links? Youtube vids/articles dicussing whats happening?

To late and you kind of answered your own question......... It's clear that everybody is already getting their shitty, wallet raping ideas from Blizzard.
I'm sick of Microtransactions... COMPLETELY! It seems like every multiplayer game that have comes out lately is a half-assed cash in full of this crap. I haven't played a multiplayer, or at least the multiplayer section of a game in a while and not I'm sure I ever will again if this trend continues!.
I will give this game a little more slack in that (if it is as they claim) it's not Pay to Win or a fucking retarded RNG lootcrate lottery that forces you to pay or play over and over like a dumb gambling goblin. However this level 20 boost, morphing, shaders and cosmetic adjustment crap is STILL annoying. If I'm going to spend the extra money I rather just go to a simple storefront, throw a couple of quid at the stupid Adam West Batman suit and just play it!

Yes, your system will boot and run those apps faster but it's not quite a straight forward as simply transferring the files over. You'll have to do a fresh install of Windows through the BIOS (why the guy was mashing one of the F-keys in the video), but this is pretty straight forward especially if it's a brand new machine with nothing installed on it yet. Ask me about it again at the time if you are struggling.

Good choice! Good price to, It's about £100 more in the UK!
Well I got one more little tip for you, if you are going to install and SSD which totally agree you should go for an M.2 SSD.
Some more expensive NVMe models (like the one shown) run of PCIe which is faster than SATA. If understandably you don't want to spend a allot then a non-MVMe model will be just as fast and cost maybe only a fraction more than the equivalent 2.5" SATA model. Most importantly of all is that you can install one of these things in your new Laptop without having to remove the existing HDD, here's a little video should showing you how (it's pretty straight forward).
In my experience of Windows 10 you need about 100Gb to cover your OS, core applications, drivers and so on. So go for a minimum of 120GB.
HAPPY DAYS! Enjoy!

Hey, just wanted to give a quick update, I've just ordered my laptop today and it's this one:
Lenovo Legion Y520 with Core I5 7300HQ, GTX 1050 TI 4 GB VRAM and 8 GB DDR4 RAM
Originally I wanted to spend about 750 euro which was the price for the laptop with GTX 1050 2 GB VRAM but for just 50 euro more I got the TI 4 GB VRAM version.
The only thing that kinda annoys me is the lack of SSD, I just didn't want to spend more than 800 euro, but for the future a Kingston SSD 240GB which might be more than I need, is roughly 60 euro, and the laptop supports SSD of up to 518 or so GBs so I'll try and upgrade as soon as possible.
Can't wait for it to arrive, been so long since my eyes have truly experienced a real master race machine Thanks again for your advice.

A few very minor issues with the game, but one of the best I've ever played in this genre in a long time. It borrows allot mechanics from other game but it offers a different take on them that makes them feel fresh and interesting. The Tallnecks for example are something that I've seem some people dismiss as "walking Ubi towers" but there's clearly so much more to them than that. Each one presents a different challenge by the enemies that are present or the environment itself, never just a straight climb to the top. For me that kind of sums it up, it's all familiar but unique.
Not to mention game is drop dead gorgeous! One of the most beautiful open worlds I have ever seen and I'm including games on high end PC hardware. Excellent gameplay that blends action and strategy with a creative mix of weapons and abilities. No two machines are the same and require different strategies to take them down especially if you play on the harder difficulties.
I guess with this being a spoiler thread I guess I'm free to talk about the story including.... well..... Spoilers. The writers did a great job of introducing the history of the world, our main character Aloy's origins and how she came into it by tying them all directly together. Some aspect's I saw coming like Aloy's being a clone and so on but it's still a very smart and engaging story that had me really wanting to what this was all about, especially towards the end. When you start learning about the Horizon Zero Dawn project and how it's intention was to restore the world after it's inevitable destruction and how the HADES A.I is now trying to destroy it again.
Some people have mixed feelings about the ending but I personally found it satisfying, the only thing that was still open was what Sylens and HADES are doing next. If your of the opinion that it was a bit of a cop out how HADES ultimately survives and that teaser with Sylens and HADES walking towards that Giant Metal Devil is just a cheap way to set up a sequel...... well yeah I see your point. At the end of the day this first game was about Aloy and we got a complete story arc with her. The question about her origins where answered and it ended on a triumphant note. It didn't feel like a cop out to me and It's clear that the Guerrilla wanted complete game before even considering DLC. They also didn't run with any microtransaction system despite it looking like the game was set up for one with it crate awards for quests and such so huge respect there.
We know that they are working on an expansion and I will be pre-ording that shit and playing day one not just because I loved this game but more so because Guerrilla have earned that trust form me but not having including any kind bullshit cut-of story or microtransactions. There was a handful of outfits that where pre-order bonuses or through special editions but that's it.
Well that's my two cents, I might have more to say later but for now... Peace out!
Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by PlasticFrogCG in Horizon Zero Dawn, the spoiler thread
So, I finally finished Horizon Zero Dawn last night. I must say this is the best game I've played on the PS4 since the console was released (with an exception for The Last of Us and Uncharted 4).
The whole setting and story really reminded me of an old sci-fi novelist named Andre Norton. She had a whole After the Apocalypse series that was like Horizon.
I was a little surprised that the "dialogue choices" didn't actually change the ending, but after I thought about it I realized that all of the choices were really elements of Dr Elisabet Sobek's--and by extension Aloy's--personality. The ending might not have changed, but the narrative of how Aloy got there would have. When you watch the holo recordings of Dr Sobek you can see how she could be compassionate, intelligent, or even abrasive, and in the end it all makes sense why you were given a choice as to how to react to each situation. Overall its just beautiful storytelling!
I did cringe a couple times when you would talk to somebody with an elaborate headpiece...and it kept clipping through their shoulders. And sometimes the lip syncing was way off.
But these are pretty mild, and didn't really take me out of the game too much.
I also loved how the machines were never too easy. Even once you got the most powerful weapons and learned the proper techniques to taking down a thunderjaw, it was still a tense battle that could go very very wrong if you weren't quick on your feet!
9/10 for me!
Ranisel liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in Advice for a new rig
To answer your question the reason why there is no M or MX on the model number is because it's the exact same GPU that you get in desktops. Most GPU's have to be run at lower speed in laptops to minimise the power consumption and heat, hence the M. The 1050 and 1050 Ti use such a small amount of power that it isn't necessary, in fact the desktop versions don't even have separate power connectors, they get all their juice from the PCI slots!
The 2GB of VRAM might be an issue is some hungrier open world games like GTAV at 1080p. I understand that there is a version of this laptop with a 1050 Ti which has 4Gb of VRAM which would solve that problem and that's the one I would go for as long as it doesn't push the price up to much.
As it stands even the standard 1050 is pretty impressive, defiantly allot better than he 940M! Even on a GPU intensive game like Rise of the Tomb Raider it manages to average more than 30.
