Any cinematic made by Blur Studio is always going to be amazing (Those guys should be making full-length movies).  Two of my favourites are :

    Dawn of War :

    Hellgate London :

Well with hindsight he obviously made the wrong choice but he had no way of knowing that the game franchise would be such a success.  He had the choice of playing it safe or taking a risk and I don't blame him for playing it safe.  Besides the success of the games have almost certainly increased his book sales substantially especially outside Poland.

Back when Halo was good I wish they would of done a movie on it.
With Cgi and the different things we can do with technology this game should be a movie something as big as Starwars. It must be written very well tho.

Wolfenstein: The New Order. I like the alternate world setting that Nazi won the WWII and how to fight back (kind of like XCOM2). But the Jewish people in Hollywood probably don't like the idea... The German probably won't like it too...

Hmm personally an adaption of Dead Space would intrigue me, though would have to be done right otherwise you end up with the Resident Evil movies . . . .

This makes me wonder if the game was shaping up to be just not very good. Remember the hype around The Order on ps4, and how it was justnot very good, and got a lot of bad press? I wonder if Microsoft just didn't think it was going to be too good, and didn't want to release a game that was going to get tons of poor reviews after being hyped so mch

The maker of the awesome Broforce made this game. What the fuck were they THINKING???

I still can't believe that so many people are saying that ME3 endings made them hate the series or lose trust in it.
    Seriously?
The series have been brilliant so far and even though the endings might have been better the journey leading to them was one of the best ever.

    The gameplay looks quite good.
Seems the combat will be more action packed than previous ones. I'm wondering how managing the whole team will be sorted out with this level of action.

Coincidentally enough, TotalBiscuit makes the same comparison in this:
He even mentions that the award Kojima got, though deserving, seemed to be just so they can segue into this trailer. A trailer, that though cool and all, showed no gameplay and doesn't really tell us much about the game.

Anyway, was that last soldier dude at the end of the trailer the actor who was the bad guy for Skyfall?

I actually like the explanation from the timeline as it does in fact make a lot of sense.
One of the things I am curious about is the moment in the trailer where you can see the destroyed/uninhabited planet and hear: 'Welcome back.'
Is it just to emphasize that they are awake after the travel (the voice seems to be some kind of AI) or will they go back to Milky Way just to find it wiped out of life?
I gues it's the former but still, I need to find a good analysis video later

    I am so pre-ordering this.
And I have already had a discussion with some friends on how I should not pre-order anything.
There are franchises that I am still willing to pre-order and this is one of them.
It will be so tough to wait until it is realeased

Big ME fan and can't wait for N7 Day - those teasers aren't helping
I believe in this series and it has never let me down so far.
I will miss Shepard but I hope there will be references to previous games.
  16. zawisz liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Titanfall 2 game review. HOLY FUCKING SHIET, THAT WAS EPIC STUFF!
Ah yes, the sequel to the first game in 2014 that COULD have an awesome singleplayer mode, but decided instead to have multiplayer only. They should have had singleplayer, because as this sequel proves, it will make the game fucking fantastic. And it will be the true sequel to Call of Duty franchise, because Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 are just Titanfall without the mechs.

The story of the singleplayer is simple. It's like Star Wars, but with Optimus Prime. You're Jack Cooper, originally just a rifleman for a militia group, which is totally the rebels from Star Wars, fighting against the IMC, or the Empire. In this game series, there's super awesome groups of soldiers called the Titan Pilots, basically a mix of Jedi + Bounty Hunter where they have super jetpacks that enable them to parkour and be tough as nails, while also being able to drop their own giant mechs to the battlefield. After a Titan Pilot got killed by a group of enemy Pilot mercenaries that has their own mechs, Jack decided to take his gear and become a Titan Pilot, and with the added bonus of having a mech that's voiced by freaking Optimus Prime, at least until the end credits where it turns out it's not Peter Cullen, but Glenn Steinbaurn. Well, Glenn Steinbaurn will be an awesome replacement to Peter Cullen. Anyway, after that, fucking amazing shit ensues.

The story is a simple man bonding with machine kind of story, with a "defeat the evil corporation" plot in the foreground. But what makes this campaign great is not the story. Like DOOM before this, it's about giving an awesome roller coaster ride from beginning to end that just keeps getting better and better and better and better. Holy shit the campaign is fucking phenomenal. Not one moment in the game is dull, well except the tutorial but it's a tutorial so that's expected. Every stage throws in new situations so that it all feels different and not the same as before. You got Mirror's Edge style platforming, Mechwarrior robot mayhem, things in game that I will not spoil because it's so damn cool,

Alright slight spoiler here, but here's a hint on one mission in this game that is so freaking unexpected:

If you played this game before, you'll know what I'm talking about when you get to that point in this game.

and the usual Call of Duty setpieces that blends this all together perfectly. That and the fantastic music that accompanies everything.
This song in particular accompanies one hell of a hectic battlefield. Your blood will definitely pump while you mow down enemies while listening to this song.

The last few missions of the game is where shit gets into high gear and just never stop being awesome. By the end of the story, which took me 8 hours to complete, I was so satisfied by it all that I will definitely play this campaign again to collect every helmet collectible in the game, as well as play the game on the hardest difficulty because I love a good challenge.

Gameplay of the game is the same as Titanfall 1. It's basically Call of Duty + Mirror's Edge + Mechwarrior. Or you know, DOOM 2016 + Mirror's Edge + Mechwarrior. And that is one hell of an awesome combination. You gotta be fast and have great reflex playing this game, because that is where it's most satisfying. Jumping from a second floor straight down to enemies bellow never gets old, and combine that with being able to use a mech that decimates small enemies as well as other mech feels so damn good.

Multiplayer is also great as it improves a lot of the first game's issues. Aside from things like new weapons to use and new customization options, now you have 6 mechs instead of 3, including my favorite new mech which shoots super lasers at enemies.
And also the Ronin. Because samurai robots are always cool.

Unlike the first game, you can't ride into enemy robots and shoot their core anymore. Instead if you ride into enemy robots, you will steal their power supply which you can then use in your own mech to increase its lifebar. Or you know, you can give the power supply into other players from your team.

There's also new multiplayer modes. You got the usual Attrition, Last Titan Standing, Capture the Flag and Free for All from the previous game, but now there's Bounty Hunt where you have to kill enemies to gain money, and whichever team reaches $5,000 wins. You have to put the money into special containers, and if you die, you will lose half of the money that you have with you, so you got to not die to win basically. There's also Coliseum mode, which is a one on one duel with another player. It is as tense as you may think. And the last one is Pilot VS Pilot, which basically is Call of Duty multiplayer.

Overall this game is just fucking awesome. A great improvement over the first game in every single aspect. I give this game the rating of "so awesome that I will use my mech to kill everything again and again". And of course, with a badass seal of approval.

Definitely one of the best games of 2016.

I just noticed something about this year. Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, DOOM, Dark Souls 3, Hitman, Gears of War 4, and later on Watch Dogs 2 and Final Fantasy XV. These games are all sequels and are all much better games than the previous games that got mixed reception. We should dub 2016 "the year of redemption".

They had me at Mass Effect.
I am excited for this one, The ME3 ending never did bother me that much. Because for me, I was quite satisfied with the journey  than the ending. I was fine with oh it wrap up for my character.
I look forward to another big sweeping space opera. With action , Danger and just hint of romance.
    It got my money already.

  19. zawisz liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in Battlefield 1 Singleplayer trailer
Yeah I'm confused to.......  Battlefront didn't have a campaign and it doesn't seem to much resemble or have any other direct relation to any other Star Wars media I've ever seen.

As for the trailer itself being as generous as I can be without lying, it's pretty much what I expected.  Clichéd, non-specific preaching about how tragic war is interweaving between allot of gunfire and shit blowing up.....  Which I guess would be fine if we learned a little bit more about our protagonists here, but It is DICE so I'm not expecting well developed characters anyway.

The voice acting/character animation seems very good though and the presentation is brilliant in that "Michael Bay/Hollywood" kind of way. I'm sure the beautiful but mindless action will get a rise out of some people but I would have SO much preferred something grounded a little more in reality.
  20. zawisz liked a post in a topic by Apex Spartan in The hell is Konami doing to Metal Gear?
    Everything comes to an end.

Some IPs end with glorified endings and some just fall straight into shit. Some die a honorable death and some just get shot and get thrown into shit-filled pit. All you gotta do is move on and, if you dislike it then just not support the game anymore. Let it die with the last good game.

MGS died as soon as Kojima left so...best thing to do is ignore this shit. Hell don't even give them a view because they won't get that few cents off of it.

  22. zawisz liked a post in a topic by Apex Spartan in More devs working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on Witcher 3
    Pretty much this.

I doubt it was done for the hype. CDPR didn't come on their own and say "We have a huge team working on the game", it was done through a Q&A meet when someone asked them how many people are working on it or whatever and the CDPR guy said "This many and more than on W3 atm" and now all newsites are reporting it.

On their social pages and website they are constantly sharing applications for open positions for animations, modelling, management etc
Seems like the game will be pretty big and they need to expand. Last time they said Witcher 3 is gonna be much bigger than W2, they didn't lie, not even near. They are really going hard on recruiting. Could it be some kind of a hype thing? Possible, but I highly doubt it. It's more like they might be behind schedule or the game is bigger than they planned.

While you are right and it maybe is a hype marketing in another way, but I'm pretty doubtful because it does make sense. They aren't a huge team in general as far as I know and if they wanna make a bigger game they need to expand. And so far all their games have been great and they never overhyped anything, specially in gameplay and game-wise. They only had issues with Witcher 3 graphics contreversy which they easily returned with updates for PC.
  23. zawisz liked a post in a topic by Would you Kindly in More devs working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on Witcher 3
I am very interested in the game, and since CD Projekt Red has a good history or storytelling and gameplay mechanics as long as they devote the time to make it just right it should be good. One of the few developers I have trust in to make a decent game.
