  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys, next up on my written reviews after Destiny is Lords of the Fallen. Still working on this whole 'writing reviews' thing so I ask that you give me some slack and assist with suggestive criticism! Cheers! Lords of the fallen is a third person action RPG with strong elements such as combat taken from the Dark Souls universe. It has an extremely dark world with an environment to match and a highly rewarding combat system for players who figure it out or are familiar with similar systems. That being said, there are strong pros and cons to this game. You start the game as Harkyn, a prisoner who has been guided to a fortress that is under siege by the Rhogar - seemingly demonic entities from another realm that are invading the world of man and lead by a dark god. You're immediately thrust into this world with a very simple tutorial (Simple, not bad!) and begin to press forth to free mankind of this scourge and restore balance. The game's entire plot is that you stop the siege by killing the Rhogar "Lords" which are scattered throughout various parts of the game and in some cases other 'dimensions' that you travel to. You kill things, get experience, level up, and use weapons accordingly with your stats. Think Dark Souls with an extreme focus on story this time around. Simple, right? Yeaaah not so much. Let's discuss pros and cons now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROS: ----------------------------------------------- - Graphics and design ----------------------------------------------- First and foremost I'd like to state flat out that in my opinion this game is BAR NONE the most beautiful game of the entire year. It was clear to me from the beginning that the game was only going to get better in this regard. Every single enemy has an amazing level of detail in it and I was HARD PRESSED to find any set of armor that wasn't entirely unique and handcrafted from the ground up. Each level has an amazingly unique environment. The shadows, lighting, texture quality, and ambiance are all perfectly synced with what is going on at all times and give you immense satisfaction when tied into killing your enemies in various brutal ways. Even on the medium settings this is still the case, with ultra simply being icing on the cake to the entire thing. Hell, even the quest dialogue scenes look amazing. Here's a video of ultra, just so you can get the idea. http://www.twitch.tv/angryjoeshow/c/5414452 The visuals in combat are stunning. Sparks fly off of your shield as you block attacks and blood will come spurting forth out of your enemies as you stab them in various locations. Tie that in with FANTASTIC weapons that are all unique (I had over 60 different ones and had missed a lot of secrets) and you have an overall art style that CANNOT be rivaled this year. Here's an example of the weapon screen. The sounds are absolutely fantastic as well. Weapon strikes, blocks, and general ambiance throughout the entire game are spot on and never once bothered me in the slightest. ----------------------------------------------- -Kickass loot system & implementation ----------------------------------------------- The loot system in the game is similar to Dark Souls in the sense that killing an enemy yields a chance for you to acquire the weapon that they are using. This holds true to bosses as well, which gives an extreme sense of gratification when you kill one and get a 'legendary' version of the weapon for you to use in combat. Here's an example Loot has three levels of quality. White, purple, and orange... Or generic, magic, and legendary. Generic being simple and unspecial versions of a weapon, magic having sockets for runes to go into, and legendary having unique abilities based on what weapon you're wielding. This can be a healing pool for example, or a chance to light enemies on fire. There are two factors from what I saw that influence your ability to get loot. The first would be your 'multiplier' - a stat that is given to you the longer you do not spend your souls based on the number of enemies you have slain since the last time you did. This can get up to a 2.0x multiplier which drastically increases your chances of getting a purple or higher quality item from random enemies in the world. The second thing that influences this is the Luck stat which is a part of the character leveling panel. Putting a crapload of points into this will of course reward you with more drops but drastically impair your ability to fight (As it becomes much harder to grind the needed level of souls) in the late game. Factor this in with runes which are used to apply special stats and features to your armor and weapons and the identifying system for them (Which is later in the game) and you have a unique and satisfying take on a gear system that in my opinion was a flat out improvement from Dark souls. ----------------------------------------------- -Boss fights ----------------------------------------------- Bosses in this game are badasses. Within the first ten minutes of the game you encounter one that requires you to learn quickly or die to single combat to him in a humiliating fashion. As stated previously these bosses are called Lords, and are generals of the dark god that you're engaged in fighting throughout the story to stop the invasion. Each boss has a unique fighting style, arena, and moveset. Every fight will require you to adapt to the situation and adjust your actions appropriately. There was not a single boss in the entire game that you could simply walk at and beat into submission.. you'd die. These bosses can appear suddenly as well in situations that are already dire.. rewarding you greatly if you are valiant enough to defeat them without dying or heading back to a checkpoint to heal. As well, there are situations where the bosses you are fighting are MASSIVE when compared to your character. This gives the whole 'David versus Goliath" feeling which is absolutely fantastic and feels reminiscent of the Monster Hunter series. ----------------------------------------------- -Combat system ----------------------------------------------- A lot of people I've spoken to have mixed feelings about the combat system but I personally thought it was one of the best that I had ever had the pleasure of experiencing first hand. Before I go on though, it's important that in this game you realize that: You. Are. A. Man. - You are not a demon. You are not a demigod. You are not some superinfused demonslaying badass from another dimension. You're a human being for the most part and the combat revolves HEAVILY around that. The enemies you are fighting, however, are superhuman/demons.. and they don't like to follow the rules and limitations that mankind has. When we were at Pax Joe and I had the pleasure speaking with the developers on a personal level in a private play test of this game. During that session they explained that the animations in the game were as realistic as possible for Harkyn. In every instance they had brought in an extremely muscled individual to use properly weighted weapons in a motion capture studio. This means that heavy weapons will swing slow as hell but hit with immense force while daggers will stab quickly and allow you to chain combos. As well, trying to block with daggers instead of using a shield will not work in the slightest.. and you will be sent flying from where you were standing when you get hit. As well, when you hit enemies with an immensely heavy weapon and they're using lighter equipment THEY go flying.. tying into the satisfaction of having to time your attacks perfectly with such devices. There are multiple combat styles that appeal to the primary damage attributes of the game: Strength, Dex, and Faith. Daggers and light or quick weapons will use dexterity. Heavy weapons like battle axes rely on brute strength, and blessed hammers and staff weapons rely on faith. Daggers are quick blitz strikes that require you to get behind your enemies or wait for the opportune moment. Staves and hammers are well rounded and usually are enchanted with magic damage of some sort.. fire, poison, etc. Heavy weapons weigh a TON but will devastate your enemies with extremely powerful strikes that take a while to prepare. There are also backstab animations and parry animations for certain type of weapons and shields.. all of which are SUPER GODDAMN SATISFYING if you can execute them properly. More than enough styles for everyone to enjoy! CONS: ----------------------------------------------- -Lack of direction/mini-map/decent quest log ----------------------------------------------- This is probably, if not for sure, the biggest issue with the game and something that dragged it down quite a bit throughout my playtest. It showed QUITE A BIT during my live stream when I would get lost for an hour or more at a time. The experience of being lost and not being able to continue the story for extended periods of time really drags down the immersion of the game. There is no mini-map or map at ALL to show you where you are in relation to where you need to be. Quests are dumped on you in a fashion that requires you to backtrack or go to a door across a level you barely recognized; leaving you to search the same areas you've been in for extended periods of time until you get lucky. There's no fast travel or ability to move between waypoint shrines. This leads to constant running back and forth as you try to get to new places or complete side quests for NPC characters. It was absolutely infuriating for me to have to deal with this. At times I had to stop playing the game due to the fact that I WAS SO FUCKING LOST and didn't have a clue of where to go next or what I was looking for. Sometimes it was as simple as finding a lever.. that was back the way I came after progressing on some ledge in an obscure place with no indication it was there, relying on you to find it through hours of exploration. Ask NPC's for directions? Nope, general vague area given. Look into your quest log for pointers? Just a basic "Do this" message. It really could've been done so much better and honestly just felt lazy on behalf of the developers. See, look! Maybe I got lost more than others, but either way - I hated it. ----------------------------------------------- - Very poorly implemented skills/skill trees. ----------------------------------------------- This was another huge issue that I had with the game that I felt really held it back from being able to obtain high 8 or 9 scores in reviews. At the beginning of the game you are given the choice to chose between three skillsets. Warrior based skills, Rogue based skills, and Cleric based skills. Once you choose this.. you are LOCKED to this skillset for the rest of the game until the NG+ portion. There's no special spells you can get off of bosses, no trees to unlock new skills.. just presets you're forced to hold onto even if you regret them later. The skills themselves aren't very interesting for any class. There's no elaborate trees or talent points for you to invest in unique abilities or actions. There's no going multi-class and getting skills from other trees later on.. and with the faith requirement holding you back on a lot of the abilities, strength characters generally get screwed over with anything but the warrior tree. In fact, this gets so bad later on that you are stuck with a absurd amount of skill points leftover that you cannot use unless you invest in faith. Even if you do invest in faith you're stuck with an over abundance of them just sitting in your stats page collecting dust. At the end of my playthrough I was maxed out in my chosen tree but had FOURTEEN points sitting in my inventory collecting dust. Great! Still had some left over, even in NG +! Had they allowed you to bounce between skilltrees or put more thought into each individual one and expanded upon them it would've been a lot better. As of now though, it's an extreme flaw with the game that I hope gets remedied in the second one. ----------------------------------------------- -Length ----------------------------------------------- The game itself is extremely short, with a player able to do it in 7-9 hours if you're familiar with what you are doing. My playtest took fourteen hours due to the fact that I WAS LOST FOR AT LEAST FIVE HOURS TOTAL. There are no 'extra' areas for you to go and explore, or optional bosses for you to fight. There's really hardly any deviation from the path that is set before you.. with most areas being roundabout loops that get you confused as to where to go. The side quests aren't special from what I found and don't take you to any new and unique areas. They're simple things like 'kill these guys' 'get this' 'clear this area for me' and pretty much only add maybe an hour to the game if you know what you're doing. Even though there are a lot of bosses they come far too quickly with too few enemies inbetween, leading to a somewhat 'meh' feeling when you complete the game. It leaves you wanting quite a bit more and wanting to play longer.... hoping the DLC will fill in the gaps and give you more content to enjoy. The final boss buildup is also pretty crap. He's also somewhat of a huge pushover in comparison to some of his 'lords' which was a let down for both the stream and myself all in all. Bummer, right? Don't get me wrong what it does have is great - There just isn't enough to justify the 60 dollar tag. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY All in all I enjoyed the game primarily for the combat and loot systems. For the first of a game in a series it wasn't bad... it definitely has time to grow on us and I hope that the added content and future expansions improve upon it greatly and fixes the glaring issues that hurt the experience in the way they did. Considering everything the final score for Lords of the Fallen comes down to 7/10 If you've got the money around and can afford to purchase it I definitely would. It's worth a playthrough or two even with the issues it has and I'm confident with feedback it can be improved over time. Cheers! - Del This post has been promoted to an article

  6. Yeah I dunno I saw like 30 destiny threads here and it is an FPS so I was like #yolo
  7. *SPOILERS INSIDE* DISCLAIMER: Hey guys, as you know I've streamed like 20+ hours of destiny and have completed pretty much all of the content in the game. I've given it more than a fair chance to impress me or show me everything it had to offer. I'm going to jump right in and tell you that after many hours of playing I've given this game an official 6/10, and I'll tell you in detail why. I'll start with the good, which is outweighed tremendously by the bad. Please do not assume I am being super negative or bashing on the game. A 6/10 is "slightly above average", average being a 5 - Simply put, you read and can decide if you want to buy the game or keep it or whatever. PROS: - The game looks pretty. A lot of scenes are pretty decently detailed but aside from that not so breathtaking. - The game allows you to play with friends. - Destiny has some borderlands features, which makes it somewhat entertaining. - The voice acting is okay. - The customization is okay. - The gameplay is not terrible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONS: (Be ready, lol) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMBAT The game's combat is very boring and consists of doing the same thing over and over again.. using the same weapons on end for quite some time as you level up through the game. It is really just a 'run and shoot' game with some talent trees added in that do not really give you any bonuses to using weapons or any breathtaking special abilities. I feel like constantly I'm doing the same thing.. shoot..... kill enemies.. shoot.. kill enemies.. casting my one ability after shooting and killing enemies.. and every gun is the exact fucking same it feels, aside from upgrades. Ammo for heavy weapons is also amazingly scarce. Also, spamming melee. Okay. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAIN STORY? Not even. Narrated gauntlet gameplay, maybe. The main story is absolutely trash with absolutely zero innovation or really any thought put into it. You spend the entire game trying to find out what 'The darkness' is, something that seemed to have an extremely important role in the trailer and throughout the developer interviews and press. There is literally no interaction with 'the darkness' throughout the majority of the game. You start off thrown into the world without any rhyme or reason and you're fighting against scavengers, mercenaries, and other bandit factions. They do not really associate themselves with the darkness and kill each other during fights.. which means they are not allied. The campaign boss fights (If you can call them that) are literally reskinned versions of common enemies that you fight during the game. They do not have any special mechanics (They shoot at you repeatedly and do nothing else) with little to no reward for killing them. They do not offer any sort of challenge (You kill them almost instantly with your special) and they generally do not give you any threat, even on hard. You also will never, EVER feel important or 'key' to the universe like other Bungie games involving MC. Aww yeah, Halo. As well, you do not get any sort of lore or detailing as to what the fuck you are doing or why any of this is happening. You do not get any further background information on what ANYTHING you're fighting is or what the darkness is. At the end of the game you're still just as fucking clueless as you were at the beginning. What the fuck. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BORDERLANDS LOOT SYSTEM? NOT EVEN 1% The loot system is absolutely terrible. It's clear that they were trying to be like borderlands but failed miserably in some of the primary aspects of what needs to happen for players to feel like they're getting things and progressing their characters. Getting weapons from enemies is completely random and a lot of the time that you do they're extremely low quality or repeats of weapons that you've already gotten. I assume there is less than 10 of each weapon type in the game (As you get the same ones from level 1 but level 17+ versions later on) and that they did not put any randomness into the design. As well, grinding for anything from missions takes LITERALLY FOR FUCKING EVER and your chance of getting that *last* piece of gear you need to be in a full set or all in blues will take you DAYS of grinding. Good luck. Bosses do not drop loot when they die. The vast majority of the time when they die they drop a consumable or some money... but absolutely no loot for the majority of instances. Bosses, in my mind, are suppose to reward you for spending 15-20 minutes shooting them, which leads into my next complaint about the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS FIGHTS? WTF? The boss fights are ALL similar. There is literally zero creativity when it comes to bosses. I gave this an extreme amount of testing, so do not assume that I am making things up. Every boss fight can be broken down into the same three strategies: Shoot, duck, kill adds. Rinse and repeat for 10-20 minutes because bosses have an INSANE amount of health for what you have to do. Bosses will sit and absorb THOUSANDS of rounds even though they're not doing anything special or entertaining in the slightest. Most of the bosses, as stated, retain the same models as their lesser counterparts but with reskins. They do not have ANY special features or mechanics to be different.. they just do more damage and have 238942189148132x more HP than the smaller versions. There is not a SINGLE fight with ANY sort of interesting mechanic or feature. Everything is the same over and over and over and over throughout leveling and in the raids. It is NOT enjoyable after the 10th time trying to get a piece of loot from them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLAYER SYNERGY SUCKS There is absolutely no player synergy or point really to playing with other players. Now, don't get me wrong, playing with friends can be entertaining... but for the most part this serves no purpose other than to be revived. There are no mechanics in the game that are made better by having other people in the game. There are no situations where a player can do something cool like put a boss in stasis so other players do more damage. There are no mechanics for abilities to chain off of each other or elements to allow cool shit to happen.. like soaking a boss then electrifying them as another player. There are no interactions aside from partying up to use voice and communicating with other people in your game who may be stupid as hell is almost impossible. The HP modifier, actually, for being with other people is absolutely pants on head DUMB. It doubles the HP of the boss for each player in the game and does not take into account their gear score, level, or anything else. Take in mind you can do raids 2 levels below what they need to be.. meaning that if a level 12 comes into a level 14 strike they still double the bosses HP but cannot put out the damage. You pretty much ALWAYS feel like you're just with some random people in a single player game that really has no point to even be multiplayer. It feels like crap and you are always hoping and wanting something cool to be possible.. (Like two people vehicles even?.. nope) and generally will end up just deciding to play by yourself for ease of content. There is NO bonus to XP or loot for playing with other people from what I've noticed. I still get just as many drops plowing through shit on my own and the XP I get for killing things is EXACTLY THE SAME even with the x6 HP. What the fuck, Bungie? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The game repeats itself.. a lot. Even at endgame. By this I mean that the story will constantly, CONSTANTLY re-use levels that you've been at before and never really give you anything unique (With the exception of the final mission, the Black Garden) and subject you to the same basis of "defend dinklebot while he scans" or "kill a gauntlet of enemies over and over" on every twist and turn. At the end there will always be a bossfight or group of enemies and then the mission will suddenly end. Even the FINAL BOSS OF THE GAME is a rinse and repeat fight.. to bea t the Darkness you simply kill THREE FUCKING RESKINNED MINOTAURS and your dinklebot w ill say "Yay the darkness is dead!" ending it entirely. Throughout the entire game you will CONSTANTLY get letdowns like this and fe el like it never quite reaches a climax or a point where you feel involved. The enemies will constantly be the same for the factions. You will always be fighting the same guys and ALWAYS doing the same missions. But wait, it doesn't in there! Remember how Bungie said the real game starts at level 20 and that you need to hold off until that point? IT'S COMPLETELY BULLLLLLSHIIIIIIIIT Getting to level 20 unlocks NOTHING except heroic and advanced versions of the game from level 1-19! Think you'll be fighting new bosses? NO. Think you'll be doing new missions? NO. You will be forced to go and grind these terrible bosses and levels that you have already done for an INSANE amount of time to level up or get pieces of gear. They're simply scaled to be level 20, 22, or higher based on your 'light' score which is entirely just based off of gear you get through a painstakingly crappy process. Also, the faction mechanics just SUCK ASS. I wont go into detail. It was and still is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that they dumped most of their budget into marketing and DID NOT put any thought into the game's endgame or making it unique. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTOAIM/PVP This is probably my biggest fucking issue with the entire game.. something that has ruined it, personally, for me on so many levels. The game is EXTREMELY forceful on the autoaim/aimassist and it's actually TOO generous to be in the game. I don't know why they chose to add this after not having it in a majority of the Halo games (For competitive reasons) but it makes even the crappiest players into 90% accurate killing machines. This makes it so that any idiot using a sniper rifle can consistently shoot you from a distance.. people lock onto you and gun you down without any issue, and there's almost NO SKILL CEILING. Ontop of that, there's NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. NONE. YOU CANNOT TURN IT OFF FOR YOURSELF. This is an issue, because the way this autoaim works is that it pulls your crosshair in the direction that the enemy is moving while reducing your sensitivity down to about 5% of what it actually is. Not only that, but it decides who you're going to aim at in a general location and pulls your aim towards the TORSO of players in PVP, preventing skilled headshots. For someone that plays at sensitivity 10 and is use to making split section shots and reaction kills.. it absolutely ruins it for me. My sensitivity dropping to 1% EVERY GODDAMN TIME I AIM AT AN ENEMY makes it impossible for me to line up headshots in PVP a lot of the time (With people jumping) and makes me feel like the game is trying to play itself. When I say that this is INSANELY HIGH, I'm not exaggerating. Go into the Crucible and try to pvp, you'll see that everyone aims PRETTY FUCKING PRO and that your own aim is pretty much a lockon for players. This is PATHETIC. I understand that you need to appeal to people on consoles being crap with aim but allowing it to 1. be in the PVP Section and 2. not being able to be turned off is a HUUUUUUUGE FUCKUP. I am not going to play PVP *AT ALL* until I can at least turn this off so I can outskill people who are relying on the free fucking kills. It's crap. Absolute crap. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY Bungie lied out their asses constantly during press events and gave us a game that is less than 10% of what they promised it would be. The money did not go into creative process, it do not go into designing unique mechanics.. it did not go into making the game special in any way, shape, or form. The game did not get better at level 20 like they promised it would. It did not give you a special experience with a 'captivating' storyline and 'enthralling' voice acting. There was absolutely zero immersion most of the time. I did not buy too much into the hype, but JESUS CHRIST they dropped the ball on this game. It is EXTREMELY average (And that's generous) and feels like I have to zone out to simply play it and all it is doing is taking up my time. I don't know if marketing is to blame for what happened or if Activision is at fault for the game being rushed? Who knows.. I just know that it's not what we expected.. and it definitely does not deliver on a lot of points. I'm sorry I had to go into this and make a post/rant.. I did this a lot on my stream, you're welcome to go back and watch (www.twitch.tv/angryjoeshow the archived videos) - but it's clear this game is not worth more than a 6/10 Sorry guys, I wish it would've lived up to the hype even 10%. 6/10
  8. Alright guys, we're going to be having an official meeting about the game on the 3rd at 2 PM PST in the channel, but a few things have already been decided. Faction has been decided (I will announce it on that date) Server has KINDA Been decided (I will announce it on that date) Also yes, we're going to fully support the game and push for it with videos/streaming/constant playing/support/etc. I am going to be putting hundreds of hours into it and going big with everyone already involved. I will be bringing over a LOT of people who know the game from Korea and have full guides/etc written out and mapped for everyone in the community as well as posting a lot more knowledge for everyone to follow. There is a gameplan. I apologize for not following you guys in the Beta but I had burned out on the Alpha and I was also bouncing all over the place (SOE Live ,Pax Prime, media stuff) with Angry Joe. Again, 2 PM PST on the 3rd in TEAMSPEAK - Cheers!
  9. Every game has its share of hackers. DayZ and Rust are alike in the sense that one person can ruin an entire server. It's bound to happen, but giving attention to these people just makes them successful in what they were trying to do. No need to bring up such bad feelings!
  10. Yo dawg, lets not be throwin' insults and bein' silly up in heahhhh. Arguments are healthy, callin' people dumb isn't.
  11. Hey guys! Lets get our castle done in game as soon as the guild is founded and we're getting a ton of steam! Now a lot of you may be asking: What is a castle and why do we need one? A castle in ArcheAge is something a guild can acquire with an extremely high amount of resources that grants them control over an actual part of the game. This allows them to tax the land, create quests, get costumes (Which give stat buffs and other awesome stuff) and get other cosmetic items currently not available to anyone else. The costumes are given via lord coins, which are given out at the end of every week to the lord. We will be awarding these coins (Which purchase costumes) to the people who assist the most via volume of ore, gold, or other resources to the guild. Those who help get rewarded! A castle also gives people a lot of pulling power, recruiting power, gold, and other majorly important things in ArcheAge. As of right now, there are two castle spots left to be claimed in the Alpha. As Sieges (Stealing castles) are currently not implemented, there's no downside to pushing for one before everyone else. They're also really freakin' badass. What do we need to do to contribute to getting said castle? Quite a bit, actually.. but mostly mine! The cost of a castle is extravagantly high. Mining will be the most important thing you can do to assist the guild (Which will be rewarded based on who donates the most with costumes in order) - The best place currently to mine is Glitterstone, although there are a lot of other areas you can find ore in the world to contribute to this. HERE'S WHAT WE NEED 500 Gold bars (1500 gold ore) 500 Silver bars (1500 silver ore) 50 Archeum Ingots 50 Blood Archeum - Gained from PVPing (Each person needs to donate as much as possible.. Arenas are the best way to get this!) 250 Nui Tears (Crafting Cost) 250 Gilda Stars (Crafting cost) We're also going to need a TON of Iron ore, gold, and other things to get the castle built after we claim the land. The gold will be for the taxes. It is possible with about 20 people doing this to get it done in a few days. We're going to push for a TON of people to do it as much as possible and get it as quickly as possible as we are late to the game. HOW DO I SEND WHAT I GET? Mail it directly in game to Delrith. Make sure you put what you donated and when you donated in the email so I don't lose track. We have the ability to do this, lets get this happening, Angry Army! -Cheers, Del
  12. Welcome to the ArcheAge alpha forums, fellow Angry Army members! I've decided to get the forum up and running for the AA alpha which a lot of us are interested in. Now for those of you who are wondering what ArcheAge is, go here For those of you wondering how to get in - Right now the only way is to purchase the 150.00 Premium opt in (Which is worth it due to only paying 30 technically for the alpha, the other 120 is premium time/premium currency) - located here! Now I know we're a bit late to the party but I've been doing MASSIVE amounts of research on the game and will be compiling extremely in-depth guides for all of our new players. As well we're going to be founding the official AJ guild within the AA alpha on the EAST faction (Cat people and Asians) in the next day or so. I encourage anyone who can to hop on and support the ArcheAge progress. We're going to be pushing for a castle ASAP (Very important, lots of bonuses) and we're going to need the Angry Army to fully support and push for this to happen! Rest assured, we will succeed at the end of the day! Expect this post to be updated quite a bit and a lot of posts with guides and information to start being added to this forum. Hope to see you all in game! Also, for an invite, contact "Delrith" in game. I will add more names of commanders/officers as the guild is established further.
  13. It was moved by a moderator because it's a non necessary thread that doesn't need to be creating drama within the community. If you read the CoC you'll be able to see our rules on cheating are pretty clear. We generally allow people to start fresh here without any fear of being judged for previous actions they've taken (Especially when it's 4+ years ago) and only punish for when they're banned WHILE active in the community. There has been multiple threads on this. As far as VAC bans go, we do not hold them to much regard because there have been NUMEROUS occasions of false positives by VAC on accounts. There are seven recorded instances of incorrect detections, which were fixed and rescinded:VAC1: On its initial release, VAC would issue bans for faulty memory. Valve quickly updated VAC to only kick for faulty memory.[24]VAC1: Running a VAC-protected game through the Cedega software compatibility layer for Linux.[25] VAC1: An apparent server-side glitch on April 1, 2004.[26] VAC2: Over two weeks in July 2010, approximately 12,000 owners of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were banned when Steam updated a DLL file on-disk after it had been loaded into memory by the game. Those affected received a free copy of Left 4 Dead 2 or an extra copy to send as a gift.[27][28][29] VAC2: In January 2011, owners of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops were banned due to their computers being infected by the trojan Win32/Spyeye.H.[30] VAC2: In June 2011, an unknown false positive detection caused a handful of Team Fortress 2 owners to become banned.[31] VAC3: In February 2014, a number of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players were falsely banned, the bans were eventually reversed.[32]There are four recorded instances of game plugins that are not considered cheats triggering bans or kicks. These are:VAC1: HLamp, which allowed the user to control Winamp from the game's interface.[33]VAC2: The X-Spectate tool, which allowed server administrators to enable a translucent wallhack effect while spectating to help decide if another player was doing the same. Later downgraded to a kick from the server, but bans not rescinded.[34] VAC2: Some Half-Life modifications, such as Paranoia[35] and Half-Life FX which made changes to the engine's renderer that propagated to multiplayer games. This triggers a kick. VAC1 and VAC2: sXe Injected, an anti-cheat system for Counter-Strike A lot of those bans were NOT rescinded, such as my MW2 modded lobby ban which persists to this day, and the Gary's mod ban from modded files when they suddenly added VAC. However, we do take Punkbuster (Memory scanning only, you have to inject) bans very seriously and generally handle it in a quiet fashion when a member is banned from anything while they're in the community. I ask that you educate yourself on manners before attempting to stir up drama. Thanks! - Del

Join the AJSA Community for our first Battlefield 4 official community event. Overview: This whole event was thought up due to the fact we have a nice friendly rivalry in the battlefield community between our Europe and North American players. The whole point to this even is to see which team can get the upper hand in several games of conquest. When: The game will take place on Sunday the 12th of January and will continue well into the night on both time zones, Check below for the event start time in your time zone: Europe: GMT: 8PM CET: 9PM North America: EST: 3:00PM CST: 2:00PM MST: 1:00PM PST: 12:00PM Where: The game will take place on the US East Coast 24/7 Conquest Server. This server was chosen as east coast America gives the best pings for both West Coast, East Coast and EU Players. A nice fair balance. Don’t worry if you are not from EU or NA you can still jump in this event and fight for whichever team you want to see win! Server Battlelog Link: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/servers/show/pc/090a5d49-3bd2-461a-bc58-efbe143b004e/AJSA-24-7-US-Conquest-ANGRY-ARMY/ The maps that will be played will be based on a vote system. So everybody in the server will be able to vote on the next map and the most popular will win the vote. Let us know if you are planning to attend in the comments, I know this is going to be awesome TacticalLion
