So google basically buys twitch and ruins it. Nice going. How does applying copy right bs to video game streams make any sense.

Yeah they are becoming a monopoly. They own all the major websites except like twitter and facebook. They may even take over internet with their new google internet that is the fastest. Now they are even making all these google book laptops or something that are cheap as balls. The government won't do anything. The government and politics is controlled by corporations. They have all the money. See also monsanto (patents life itself).

The main problem with Totalbiscuit is that he lives in his own little fantasy world were everyone has enough money to buy an overpowered Titan rig.  Also that Internet is available everywhere and so super fast that you can download any AAA game in less than an hour.  His idea of gaming only works when your as privileged as he (and has the misconception that everyone else) is.

Nah. This review of Bad Rats takes the cake. (For those that don't know, Bad Rats is a terrible and often-joked about game on Steam)

Divinity Original Sin: Great writing, world, fun gameplay, good use of co-op and player choices.

    FTL Faster Than Light
Lone Survivor: Excellent story and atmosphere
One Finger Death Punch: Very fun gameplay

Recently I have been playing the hell out of Darkwood! Top down free-roam survival horror with a randomly generated world. Blending roguelike, RPG, and adventure elements! Also very scary and I was not thinking it would be since it is top down!

Another one has be UnEpic. This one actually came out of Early Access and really is one of those games where you are like why did I not know about this game?!

The last two are Hand of Fate, another Early Access game where it is a card based adventure game mixed with combat similar to the Fable series. You start by building your deck of cards which have items, weapons, enemies, environments, traps etc. As you progress through the game, the deck you built will randomly pick monsters, traps, and new environments for you to play with. During combat, it's pretty much Fable style, third person, stylized, slightly cheeky British remarks.

The other one is Divinity Original Sin! I love this game...you don't much I love this game! A top down turn based RPG set in the Divinity Universe! The game is brutally hard at times but the amount of control the player has is mind boggling! Don't a NPC, try to kill him/her! Want to talk to the lord of all, get the talk to animal perk! Have a strong arm, toss deadly barrels of varying elemental affects against targets!

For the record I do have more indie games I personally love but Darkwood is calling and she can be really demanding "wink wink"

This will be going through a number of offices and places before it becomes official. The US Government wouldn't allow anyone to posses a Monopoly over a certain aspect of business. So if Google obtains the #1 streaming website, they are Monopolizing the internet video business with no one being able to hold a candle to them, and that is illegal.

I've been enjoying the beta a lot too. It feels like it took the best elements from Halo and Borderlands and mixed them together. Plus the game is addicting as I'm always excited to get the next upgrade whether it be for my character, gear, weapons, etc. Plus the fact that you get to go to different planets has me hoping we can see some awesome new worlds and get some more lore (I love me some good lore)!

i don't know what it is tbh win, people tell me that a lot and to take a break, and i have.. for like 2-3 weeks at a time not playing a single game.

yet... despite having a good gaming PC, for this year and in 2013, the most amount of hours i spent playing games were on my PS3 on big titles instead of smaller titles on there and / or my PC.

i think a good big game triple A title is still good to go for if you feel you will really like it. it's these games that i will most of the time go out of my way to squeeze every ounce of content from and get all the achievements and so on. it's smaller games that aren't as dramatic or complex that i end up playing only a bit of and leaving to gather dust, and therefore i feel like i wasted money.

that's not on every scale though. got hotline miami, a small indie game, and loved it just as much as an expensive triple A game.
  13. Null liked a post in a topic by pureimagination in Let's talk Uncharted
I've played the most of the first one, and the third one. And, just recently I bought uncharted 2 for like 3 dollars used at gamestop, I couldn't pass it up at that price. I haven't played it yet though I told myself I would finish beating the first one before I started the second for story and so I could say I beat it I guess. But, I started playing uncharted 1 again and man I don't really like it. The pacing isn't very good, there are drawn out sections with cover based third person shooting, that honestly feels generic against generic enemies and the weapon selection is meh. sometimes combat doesn't feel fair either, making it more difficult when it's not your fault. But I like the story though, especially in the beginning, but later it feels to drawn out with bad pacing in between cut scenes and story. So I still feel unmotivated to finish it, it seems like a chore kind of. Also it feels so rediculous in context of the story that you go around killing hundreds of dudes as a single guy that are willing to die for some random treasure thing, like where do these guys even come from? It could be said for all the uncharted games though.

Now the third game I really like. The pacing is soooo much better. Like as soon as you get bored of doing whatever you are doing in the game, it changes to something else. The graphics and levels are really beautiful. Some of the set pieces and the way some levels change as you go through them are badass and memorable. The game was very cinematic. Now at times I've felt I'm not the biggest fan of the platforming elements because of the simplicity of just jumping and how it auto grabs on to ledges and stuff, that's just me though. Also some of the puzzles are really simple and weird.  Even with that I can say I really enjoyed this game and thought it was good. Story was good. Multiplayer in the game is OK, nothing revolutionary but still can be fun. Also I liked the parts where you get in fist fights in the game.

I'll start playing the second game in the next few days and tell you my impressions. I've heard people say it's the best one before.

I enjoyed it purely for co-op and the story. I didn't mind that the genre got a little fuzzy, to me it was escalating with the scale of the conflict. I haven't touched the DLC yet but I've been told that does a bit more to restore the horror aspect. I'm also a little bitch when it comes to anything jump-scare or anything even remotely scary at all so I'm easily startled xD
Also I enjoyed the co-op mission hallucinations
My friend and I just recently did a co-op playthrough and I recorded it. Making highlight reels for youtube, only got the one so far.

Way over priced. A million for 10 dollars seems closer to reasonable but still seems like a jip. Like am I going to buy one really nice car? Lame imo

The dates for the tour thing are apparently game conventions like E3 and gamescon where obviously they will be there giving info about the game. I wish I knew more about  it. That mascot is cute though.

The movie? It's kind of disturbing. As horror movies go it was alright I guess. It's really fucking weird though. Like a good portion of the movie is the guy forcing them to walk around as a centipede and stuff. Like, weird.
The second movie just tries to be as disgusting and gory and offensive as possible. It's really difficult to watch, it's just a creepy guy and intense realistic gore. It wasn't really scary to me though.

Your arguments are invalid and you should feel bad.

The mechs aren't just gimmicks, they're core mechanics. Claiming that mechs are just a gimmick is like claiming that vehicular warfare in BF is just a gimmick, or that realism in ARMA is just a gimmick.

Mechs are huge machines that can obliterare you with their massive weapons and literally stomp you to death. You can't go head-to-head against a mech if you're a foot soldier. You'll have to act smart, continuously scraping away their health while staying away from the line of fire.
If you're in a mech yourself, you'll have the pleasure of engaging in brutal battles against enemy mechs where you both just go wild on each other. At the same time, there are some tactics to it as you can dash to the sides, block incoming fire and even throw it back at your opponent. Also, allies can literally ride shotgun on your back while enemies can jump onto it and start sabotaging your mech, so teamwork is still the way to go for victory.
In short, the ability to fight as a mech or against one in an epic battle is something very few games can offer and pull off. CoD is not one of them.

And when it comes to wall jumping, claiming that it's just a gimmick is equally ridiculous. Wall jumping is going to create new paths and a sense of verticality on the map that you'll never see in CoD.
As for the map layout. How is it exactly like the one you see in CoD? Just because it happened to be smaller than what you find in Arma and without destructible environment?
    That's bullshit.
Thanks to wall jumping and mechs (which, again, are core mechanics) the map layout will be greatly different from what you see in CoD.

I'm not a fan of CoD, but I get pissed whenever people see a game with great potential and IMMEDIATELY starts claiming it's a CoD-ripoff because the game had the fucking audacity to share a few basic mechanics.
