  1. Simply from how it helps handle your empire once it starts getting really big by having you only directly control 6 'core worlds' is genius and helps get more people into the wheeling and dealing of empire management.
  2. I'm going to be trying to host a big group game of it the weekend after launch, but with my track record of event attendance, it likely won't be very big.
  3. Lets seeee... entry level PC games. Heros of the Storm is an entry level MOBA. TF2 is an entry level, team class-based shooter. Don't Starve Together - Survival game Killing Floor 2 - Arcade zombie shooter Endless Legend - 4X 'll leave it at this for now, don't wanna make my post too long and push others out. This just scratches the surface though.
  4. I know I'm still something of a ghost around the forums, but i'll fix that if the AJSA will have me. I posted on the calendar event about this as well, but I'd be more than happy to set up and teach players how to play things as well. Since TTS is a simulation of a tabletop, you are required to do all the placement and rules adhering to manually. For starters I would like to suggest hosting Secret Hitler, at least for my room. It has minimal components, you can teach it quickly, and it encourages interaction between players more so than your average game. A mic is nearly mandatory unless you're a very fast and alert typer. Edit: Also, because Secret Hitler supports up to 10 players, so we can fill a room to bursting. Minimum is 5, but it's be best if we played with no less than 8.
  5. until

I would be happy to set up and host a game of Secret Hitler for myself and 9 other players. Just tell me what to name the channel and what password to set, and I can host for 4 hours between 5pm - 10pm PST. Feel free to contact me if you want to hammer out some extra details.
  6. While I 100% agree with you, I don't know if they could survive without it. GGG does fine with Path of Exile because that game type is already extremely popular. Same with LoL. GW2 has a huge player base and gets it's bucks on holiday event cosmetics. For a niche game like this, I don't know what the best option for a pay model is unless it really takes off.
  7. Hey guys, I'm sorry I can't come in speaking as an active forum goer, i'm just horrible with interacting on forums. But, I'm a big way Angry Joe supporter, I even backed The Mandate on his recommendation. You can see my KS cred here: https://www.kickstarter.com/profile/happywulf Anyways, I'd like you guys to have a look at something I hope to play in 2 years from now, but it will probably need your help. http://trialsofascension.com/ks.php?ref=997336 It's just about to wrap up it's first day, and is currently only on track to finish... As I'm one of the original backers of the funders who pooled money together so there could be a Prototype to show off for this very KickStarter campaign, I'd like to see 'on track' become 'healthy outlook with possibilities for maybe 1 stretch goal even' The campaign page does a very good job of showing what it is, and what it will be, so i'll spare you from the wall of text. All's i'll say is that it looks to be the MMO that I've always dreamed MMOs could and should have been from the start, ever since I first heard of the concept 20 years ago. Being a part of a Trade caravan and getting stopped by highwaymen. While at the same time no one wants to all out murder anyone as lives were precious and ending up with blood on your hands came with a life-long bounty on your own head. Being a magic user will be like being the rare Jedi from the original SWG. Being a benevolent King will command real respect from your citizens. Being a despicable Pirate will give you a true and tangible notoriety. Being a humble crafter who is respected by his peers, and with the satisfaction that your wares are sought out and requested by all.

  9. Hey guys!! Just signed up! My first Strategy game, and first PC games were Deadlock and NetStorm! Edit: Actually, thinking about it my first strategy game was probably Ogre Battle.
