  1. Ok, the point of this game is to come up with bizarre and absurd reasons to ban the person who last posted. I'll get started. The person above me is banned for not existing.
  2. Rise of Flight is a free-to-play WWI combat flight simulator, that offers single missions, campaigns, a career mode, and multiplayer. It can be downloaded from http://riseofflight.com. If you like combat aircraft, this is definitely worth the buy. The campaign is one of the better ones in the game. Missions range from a quiet ferry flight to performing a touch and go evacuation from a friendly airbase under artillery attack. The Ilya Muromets itself is pleasing to fly and fun to bomb with, despite it's small bombload when compared to the other heavy bombers in the game, the Gotha and Handley-Page, and it can also take reconnaissance photos and direct artillery. The campaign also lets you fly fighters, namely the Russian version of the French-designed Nieuport 17 and, in one mission, a captured German-designed Albatros D.III prototype. These missions are also fun, and more challenging - the Nieuport is noticeably outclassed by the Albatros D.II that the Austro-Hungarians fly, leading to a rather grueling dogfight as your final mission. Even the Roland C.II recon plane can give you a headache with it's maneuverability. The Albatros D.III prototype that accidently lands on your side of the lines, intact, is so much better (as the protagonist notes in his diary). It can sweep the floor with the unlucky Austro-Hungarian D.II pilot who happens upon you - your biggest challenge is avoiding his wing when you shoot it off. And, last but certainly not least, you can fly the Ilya Muromets in an Eastern Front career with the third-party PWCG application, and win the highest honours the Russian Empire can offer* - though you might want to get the red paint ready in October 1917, comrades. *Not really, it's just a game.
  3. Hey, I've been playing DCUO for a while, and while I'm enjoying the game, I'd like to take part in groups, which I haven't yet. I figured that other people here who play DCUO might feel the same, so I figured that I could start a thread where we post our usernames so we can easily form groups with other AJSA members. My username is: Cybermat47
  4. We'll see him angrier than ever if BvS sucks.
  5. My thoughts exactly. It looks like Warner Bros. is just trying to cash in on the Avengers, but missing the best part about them - the fact that we had movies explaining the characters' backstories, letting us get straight into the action.
  6. I have to get new pants, you just made me ruin all my pairs.
  7. Despite all their efforts, the enemy had won. Despite their bravery, their armies had been crushed, their Air Force lay in shreds, and their Navy was burning. They had no choice but to surrender, reliving the humiliation that they had handed out 22 years before. But this was simply the beginning. To the north, across a narrow strip of water, a nation was still taking in what they had been told four days before: "What General Weygand called the Battle of France is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin." In the coming months, the British and their allies would defend Britain against the might of Germany's Luftwaffe and Italy's Regia Aereonautica. It was a battle that neither side could afford to lose. (Feel free to post any events related to the Battle of Britain in this thread, any at all.)
  8. 16th July 1940 Today, Hitler issues Führer Directive No. 16 - the order to prepare an invasion of Great Britain. Exhausted after the brutal naval battles in Norway, the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) will require complete control of the English channel to facilitate an invasion. As the Kriegsmarine cannot hope to defeat the Royal Navy, air superiority is the only option. The Luftwaffe must wipe out the Royal Air Force in Southern England. For the last few weeks, the Luftwaffe has been probing the RAF's defenses with attacks on shipping in the English Channel. However, today's fighting has been light - the RAF has not lost a single aircraft while RAF fighters downed a Junkers Ju-88 from Kampfgeschwader (bomber wing) 54, and a Dornier Do-17 intruder from 5.(Nacht)./Jagdgeschwader 1 (5th Squadron (Nightfighters) of Fighter Wing 1) fell to RAF bombers.
  9. The Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-3 of Major Adolf Galland, Gruppenkommandeur (Group Commander) of III./Jagdgeschwader 26 (3rd group, 26th fighter wing), June 1940. Major Galland would be one of the top three fighter aces of the Battle of Britain. He survived the war, despite multiple crashes and constant disagreement with Nazi doctrine, with 104 victories. He befriended several RAF pilots both during and after the war, including Douglas Bader and Robert Stanford-Tuck.
  10. Nope, the Polish fighter squadrons are in the movie, and are shown to be just as good, if not better, than the British.
  11. Yup, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer kicked ass
  12. Welcome to the army! I like Halo too
  13. I'd prefer realism to balance, personally. Specifically in the Simulator mode.
  14. Welcome Josh
  15. Banned because I am the keymaster. Also because this is my most successful thread ever.
  16. A great man who will be sorely missed.
  17. http://youtu.be/9Mq7lLPQLZo Can't wait to play this game. Hegemony is a great series.
  18. Banned because I can't believe this thread is still going
  19. Mirai Nikki.
  20. I recently got into anime, but I wouldn't consider myself an Otaku. I don't actually know what that word means, for starters. My favourite animes are Shingeki no Kyojin, Mirai Nikki, Psycho-Pass, and Tokyo Ghoul. Oh, and right now I'm watching Claymore, which the user above me obviously likes, as his signature is the main character.
  21. I would definitely support this game.
  22. Can't say I blame you. While the game is really good, I think that the purchasing options could be better.
  23. http://youtu.be/DXQc1lHlBDA I'm probably the only person here who plays this, but this trailer is just so awesome that I had to share it.
  24. Welcome to the army, Khan Wait... Khan? KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!
