Gone too liked a post in a topic by Rainversey in Forum censorship and my take on it
This thread made me look into the last page of the #gamergate thread to have a look at it.
All the people were extremely civilized with each other and the reason for locking the thread is bs.
As such, I emailed the threadlocker about this demanding he makes up an better reason because there were NO Valid ones for locking it.

Been playing it or a while now - can honestly say it is the most unfairly reviewed game of the year.
There does seem to be a Bias against the LoS series in general though. Guessing because it's not SOTN for the 1000th time....

Yeah, it felt a bit abrupt to just close the thread and (as far as I know and saw) delete any #GG threads that pop up. I don't understand why close it and prevent speaking about it here. It's not because it's a political thing. I mean, it is, but we're allowed to speak of politics as long as it greatly pertains to gaming. Which it did.
And it's not because it got derailed or trolled. I've derailed and trolled enough things to see a failed thread that should be dealt with, and the GG thread wasn't one of them. All it was people sharing information and thoughts. All things considering, it being about a heated topic, it was doing quite well. And as Rainversey said, it was civil.
Are you guys doing this so we don't end up attracting unwanted attention or something? Or is this because of Angry Joe himself and his personal thoughts on GamerGate? If that's the case, then lemme pull this out of context from our CoC:

Given the latest outbursts in what I consider borderline censorship of various threads and especially the GamerGate thread I feel like saying some things.
Ive never done a drama infused good bye thread and maybe if Im not banned this isnt one. However I cant help but feel the angry army is getting kind of hypocritical. The idea as stated by Joe himself was to have a group of people who fought for consumers rights in gaming and AJ's whole schtick is doing exactly that. To remove the biggest consumer revolt in gaming ever from the forum is not great.
That and some of the latest choices in moderarion make me sad and I thought I should express that, take it as feedback if you will. If anyone wants to talk or play something or anything I'll be on Steam @ auronkast.

But back on topic.
All I see are people discussing how awful the Nosgoth community is and how it can deter those from the game. I don't see anyone complaining about the game's genre.

I'd advise everyone to stay the fuck away from it and for JOE to STOP HYPING THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYTHING NEW GODDAMNIT.
Nosgoth, the universe of Nosgoth is incredibly expansive and rich. Gothic, dark, fatalistic, deep.
But nope, let's turn it into a TPS/FPS Quake 3-wannabe Arena Hybrid Game like so many others BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE FANS WANT AMIRITE?!
Granted I tried this out back when it was alpha. I tried the Archer and overall, I did not think the game was bad.
It was lackluster. That was what it was. It was decent for about five minutes and then you wanted to do something else.
Just for the hell of it, here is it's roots;

I don't get it.
You could switch perspectives in the other games and I mostly played in FPS mode myself.
So how exactly did they mess up here? Perhaps they will add TPS-option but I'd be fine if they didn't.
THEN AGAIN, I don't per say support EA Games anyway so I won't be buying this game.

You heard that right, the PS3 Exclusive Tactical JRPG from Sega is eventually going to be released on the PC.
Lots of good news today, just wow.

Honk, hoonk~
Yeah, I sorta opted against posting in the trading thread due to reasons of ending up ignored.
Greets Kaz.
I've been around in Cyberspace. Gotten pushed at in real life by society, gotten kicked at by society, still being kicked by society.
The usual stuff. What about you?
No, I don't. I have 2x NS2's, 1 Sanctum 2, 1 Guns of Icarus.
Bought it a long time ago and yet still not played it. Did play the first game though.
Good book, two entertaining movies, two crappy movies, a 6-part anime OVA, a 3d-animated series (not seen), a FPS Game (not played), a strategy game, a miniature figure game and a pnp-RPG game. Good stuff.

Well, that is the way of the lone wolf after all, or perhaps Tiger more likely in my case. Both are fitting really.

Not even sure if this is the right place anymore to ask this but I thought I'd give it a chance.
I have 3 2 games to offer;
* Natural Selection 2
* Sanctum 2
* Guns of Icarus Online
I want to get my hands on;
* Primarily: Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
* Secondary: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
I am willing to trade 2 games for EDF: IA if so be.
Now I am only after Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, though things may catch my interest.
I will keep an eye on this thread for a few days, so if you are interested in this trade then reply to this thread or go directly and add me for this trade on steam.
EDIT: I will trade both Natural Selection 2 and Sanctum 2 for Rainbow Six Vegas 2, just so you know. I have no plans on keeping Sanctum 2 as it doesn't interest me.
PS. I just now realized I had typo'd on the thread title as Stream instead of Steam >_< Hah.

I was bored and tired, and read this thread name so I decided to take a new picture of myself.
It looked good in the camera but when I hit the button to take it.. It ended up looking goofy.
Truly it provided smiles to my lips so I decided to share it! Enjoy my goofiness!

Nosgoth really isn't that good.
I enjoyed the Archer and the Razeilim was interesting but overall, the game is just an outstanding "Meh".
It ain't got anything on it's source material really,

This is serious. If we allow these changes to continue, we'll be looking at what SOPA could have been.
Here are my arguments as to why these practices are illegal. Throttling internet connections are first off, an unfair practice toward a free market economy, and that is one of the reasons why this country was founded,to have a free market economy. By throttling connections or straight up shutting IP addresses down, Comcast will be denying web shops like Amazon and Steam from providing their services by making it near impossible to get a connection.
My second argument is that most people on the US East Coast have no choice but to use Comcast. It's the only ISP we can have. It's unfair to over a million people who are just using the internet for work, school, or trying to kickstart their own business. If we did have the ability to use Google Fiber, we definitely would! But we cant, and there's a chance that we never will because of Comcast's control over the region.
My final argument is perhaps the most important one: These actions are a direct violation to the freedom of speech and assembly. If our connection to this website gets throttled, it is impeding on our ability to communicate and voice our opinions. If Skype gets throttled, we wont be able to talk to loved ones overseas. By restricting that freedom, or making us pay extra for it, they are VIOLATING the prime directive within the Bill of Rights that made it possible.
This cannot continue. It ends here.

I read the thread title and thought to myself "Is this some kind of joke?"
But then I remembered that I'm probably the only or one of the few retro gamers on this forum I pretty much exclusively play old games.
