  1. Hey I am doing a Podcast called Migrant Thought Podcast (redundant) with youtubie LivestyleGaming. So Heres MTP #2 Jedi college classes on Constantine, Star Wars: Tarkin and Erotic Star Wars Fanfiction OH and there is a free game give away in the description. Anyone have thoughts on what we talk about?
  2. Hi i’m Matt, I’m a Journalist, Warden of the Grey, Rust Warrior, and Master of the Thuum. Games I have finished 100%: (100% Means with Achievements I got them all, without I played through the game and finished the main points of the game. Screw finding every 251 feathers) Assassin's Creed [regrettably], AC2 (Brotherhood) BioShock ESV: Skyrim Fallout 3: (New Vegas) Blood Dragon Poker Night 2 Star Wars: Jedi Outcast Star Wars: Jedi Academy Star Wars: Republic Commando Star Wars: Force Unleashed Kingdom Hearts 1&2 (Minus Sephiroth Damn Him) Majoras Mask Too The Moon Mass Effect 1,2, 3 (Minus Omega DLC no.no.no! Bad EA) A quirks of mine... How things are named: For example, one of the games above is called Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, I just call it Star Wars: Jedi Academy. Or for example the Marvel Movies. Because of how they are designed I don’t like how Iron Man has numbers but it's acceptable for what it is. But in passing Captain America: Winter Soldier is called Cap2 I just call it Winter Soldier. Or Fallout: New Vegas is just New Vegas for me. The biggest annoyance in my collection is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Why not Far Cry: Blood Dragon. Why does it have 3 it's unrelated to FC3 in everything except resources and engine. Type of gamer I am: I judge games on my four points philosophy. Mechanics, Story/Atmosphere, World Design. Company… That determines the value of the game for me. Are the mechanics good, hows the story, what is the reputation of the company at the time the game comes out and the current practices of the company. For example, I am really enjoying RAGE at the moment. I know is ID is a good developer for FPS and it is currently owned by Bethesda which out of all the companies I know about is one of the best. RAGE story is a bit follow the railroad and they kind of just say stuff. Its obviously a cookie cutter post-a story from various franchise merged together. But its fun, the atmosphere of is amazing and the mechanics are fluid. Thought obviously designed with a controller in mind. Out of these four it helps me determine what value I put in a game. Now with the company that is a bit more messy as these points are not set in stone. I gave a good example with ID and Bethesda. But let me talk about two current companies. One i'm loved but now iffy on and One I liked for a lot but now completely boycott despite them having some good games. Nintendo & Ubisoft Nintendo, I completely object to their current direction to the sloppy execution of the Amiibos, their lack of necessary network/OP infrastructure with their WIi U to their attacking YouTubers with that (polite rude word) YouTube program. Basically, all these tactics are done because they are hemorrhaging money from their poor choices and lack of understanding of the current gaming industry landscape. They have lost all good will to me at the moment and I will not buy a Wii U because I don’t trust them to keep a promise of not abandoning the console after the NX goes mainstream. One it's not financially viable to multiple hardware most of which is obsolete. (SEGA Anyone) Two they already did it with the Nintendo Wifi service for a bunch of their old games. Now I will still support the company that I deemed good. For example, I own a Wii, not the best system but still has some value. I’m going to buy all the 64 games I have on the 64 as virtual ware and put on the wii as a backup and a bookmark on the system. I will then watch the company when the NX shows up to see if there is value in that. As for Ubisoft, my main point is Assassin's Creed series. AC2 wasthe second PC game I got when I went PC. I had the bad DRM thing and everything but I tolerated it because I liked the series and their concept. Not Anymore… I hear Assassins Creed/Ubisoft I get a bad taste in my mouth. But them going the COD rout with AC was a bad choice, and unlike COD AC is a single player game and does not have the redeeming quality of having a MP/EP sports community behind it. The series has lead to two cliches that drive me… err. Clifhangers and Milking a story to produce more content for the sake of money. Not to mention, each game seems to have a bit of experiments in them with different game mechanics but because they pump the games out so fast they don’t seem to be able take advantage of them. The disguise mechanic in liberty, the slave/rebellion mechanics, the MP game. The only one that has gone anywhere is the ship's system. With their abandonment of these systems just to make the next game, their often miss than hit treatment of the PC platform and the games often having filler (feathers!!) content put in to justify the 60 price tag. I just can’t go with them. I do admit Ubisoft has several games I want to try that look really good. Far Cry series, The Valiant Hearts game I really want to play. They only thing that would change my mind immediately is doing more Blood Dragons and doing that with the AC series. Just put out a 20 AC game every year with the test mechanics do the cookie cutter story/but good independent story and show small pieces of this great world you have and then use what you have learned to make a great game that is worth the 60$ price tag. Then maybe I’ll look again. Also, drop U-play or at least stop making it a requirement to play when launching it from Steam. So thats a little about me… Thoughts and stuff...Tell Me about you... Yep, Yep Yep, That is what it is!!! My socials are in my forum sig.. Below...
