Okay, I'm sorry to see that the game failed the vote, but I figure if we get more support for this game and rally up enough people, we can get this in. Let me once again explain what this game is, and why we need to support it!
TEAM FORTRESS 2
Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer FPS made in 2007 in which two teams fight each other to the death for control over territory, intelligence, and destroying the opposing team's base. Red and Blu are locked in an eternal stalemate over the badlands for it's vast wealth of gravel! Each team has 9 classes to chose from, all of which have their own unique play style and strategy to them, from the rocket jumping soldier, to the enigmatic and deadly spy, and the big bruiser known only as the Heavy, there is no way you can not have fun with this game! With an art style that is mid 50's to 60's cartoons, the game barely shows any signs of aging anytime soon. Currently it is still within the top ten most played games on steam right now, and with another update just around the corner, you can bet more people are willing to join up!
Multiple game modes include Capture the Flag, Control Point, Territorial Control, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, Payload Race, Medieval Mode, Special Delivery, and Mann vs. Machine. A horde mode in which you and 6 other players fight against a dangerous horde of robots that wish to destroy Mann Co. and it's supply of hats and weapons! And that's not including user created content and mods that add more life and entertainment to an already popular game!
This game also includes well over 100 different and unique weapons for every class (not counting reskins) that can be unlocked through normal play, each weapon has a unique spin on the default weapon of each class, no weapon is a straight upgrade either, ever unique weapon has it's own drawback and negative traits to make them sidegrades compared to the default. So even if you are just joining, by having the default weapons, you have the most powerful weapons in the game from the very start!
Each weapon does however offer different strategies for how you play each different class, from faster switch with less damage, to more damage but lowered health, etc... you'll never play the same game twice as you disintegrate your enemies with a righteous bison, or find yourself on the receiving end of a crossbow! But let us not forget the one major important feature of this game that overshadows all others!
Hats!! Lots of hats! Show them off to your friends, piss off the veteran players, annoy others! ... Okay this ain't really a selling point, and this is where the game could potentially get it's cash-grab feeling from, but keeping in mind that you can trade for anything, it's not hard to customize your favorite class to a look that suits your style and personality! If somebody already is wearing what you thought was your own unique loadout, you can paint different items in a variety of different colors! It's impossible to not make your class look unique.
But let us not forget that this game is also run by the community itself, lots of weapons, maps, and cosmetics have been contributed by YOU the players!
A lot of TF2's own community has helped the game grow into what it is now, from silly cosmetics, sprawling and interesting maps, and devastating weapons! The community is what gives this game the power to be one of the most played games on PC to date (just behind DotA2 and LoL...), and now if you're a talented modeler, artist, or just have a great idea in general! You can work with other like-minded individuals to create your own dream items for the game, and even get PAID once they get in! What's not to like about that?! Also, with source filmmaker out there, you can make your own videos within the TF2 universe, and more!
Tournaments! This game has the support for multiple kinds of tournament game modes. The most popular being 6 vs. 6, and Highlander (9 players on each team, only one of each class)! TF2 supports all sorts of tournament competitions, and even hands out medals for those that compete and do well. People can easily form their own guilds to practice whenever they please, lots of custom maps specifically designed for tournament play, and plenty of regulations to make things both fair and interesting for players and viewers alike!
Oh... and did I not mention that Team Fortress 2 is...
Yep! Everything in the game is FREE! You don't have to pay a single cent to enjoy the game at it's fullest! As with all free to play games there are some limits to what happens as you play, mainly involving item drops, trading, and limited crafting options, but purchasing any item regardless can get you a permanent premium membership. That or a friend could potentially lend you http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Upgrade_to_Premium_Gift one of these for free. ;3 Just remember to spend your money wisely as always.
I suggest you play this video in the background as you read. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llOvd2yGEio
Now, I'm saddened by the fact that this game did not get the time needed for a full vote compared to other games, so I think it's fair that we get to try again. After 20 days of voting, we had 86 people in favor of letting the game in, and only 10 people against it. That's a good number but not good enough. My goal for all of you right now, is to at least double that number or come close to it within a month. So here is my battle strategy that I want you all to follow.
Find all of your friends who are interested in gaming, and show them the AJSA forums immediately. Do your best to convince them to join our forums and socialize. Talk to your friends who actually play Team Fortress 2 and convince them to join up. If you have people interested in the game but are intimidated by the pay wall of getting full membership, go out of your way to give them an Upgrade to Premium Gift: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Upgrade_to_Premium_Gift This not only gives them full benefits, but also gives you a free cosmetic for your troubles as well. Let your friends know about this topic so that they too can spread out this info to others. The more people, the better. Advertise the AJSA in game through sprays in game. Be immediately ready to vote on the forums and remain active, I do not want to see people say they will vote and suddenly drop off of the face of the planet when we need you! It is vital that all troops keep alert! Be calm and civil when or if a second decision is made. Comment here first if you pledge to play this game with the AJSA regularly and again... BE READY TO VOTE AT ANY TIME IF ANOTHER ONE GOES UP! That will be how we attract others to the site in general, if just 10 of us was to bring in 5 people on board, we'd have 50 people ready to be deployed, and ready to vote!
Since there is a very short time-span for the vote we need to work quickly and not slack off on this! So here is what I want to see from everybody:
At least 5 new people joining the AJSA through recommendation to your friends per person. Support for your friends joining the game, including coaching them, teaching them the basics, and maintaining a positive attitude amongst the growing community. AJSA sprays in game to advertise the site (or AJS in general). Keep it tasteful and simple! Explain the site if necessary but do not spam! I want to see over 150 positive votes within 20 days if a new poll is created! We did not have a lot of time, and we only got 86, so I KNOW we can do better! I will be so proud if we can get close to 200!
That's all there is to know about the game, and how to go about getting this game in. Right now though, gather up friends who are interested, have them join, and comment in this thread ASAP. Let's work together and be credit to team!
My personal request to the council:
Apologies if you saw me getting upset on twitter, but I do highly urge you to reconsider the vote, and I would also like to see you guys include these things as well should you go through with this.
Equal voting time with other games. A set date for when voting will end. A set goal for number of votes required to get a game officially supported. Thank you for your time and keep up the good work on the forums.

Now, I know I say this about a lot of games, but this is one of my favourite games! I was really annoyed to join the AJSA and see that they had a chance at supporting TF2 and failed it. I am glad to see that it gets another chance, and will back it up all the way!
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by MetGreDKo in WORLD OF TANKS - VOTE FAILED
Credit cost is currently a non-issue when playing competitively. I can farm 6x the cost of a rammer in a single day off from work if I really push it. Anyone else without either a premium account or premium tank is easily capable of grinding 2x the cost in a day. To not run an ideal set up in competitive play because of cost in credits just results in your chances of winning being reduced. That you find it acceptable just suggests to me you don't really want it.
In reply to altreides, the devs go by the Russian server averages while disregarding the top and bottom 10% in win rate. The bottom 10% is understandable due in part to bots but the top 10% can provide valuable feedback, such as the top tier German TD autoloader where the best player last I checked averaged over 6,000 damage per game and he did not have a small sample size. Even the tier tens released before it which were seen as blatantly OP didn't reach that height in the best of hands.

All [AJSA] Individuals must obey the Chain of Command or Risk Strikes or possibly a Ban. Please be respectful to Officers and obey our structure of order. We anticipate large membership so this is very necessary to make the Angry Army function at its best! If you have a problem with authority or the reverse, with power trips, please do not apply to our community, you will be removed as soon as it become an issue. We are trying to create a fun and friendly gaming environment for all types of Gamers! Thank you for your cooperation.
The Front Line
Recruit - New Recruits to the Angry Army are welcomed with open arms! Recruits may participate in the AJSA and open gaming events but must prove their sincerity in participating our gaming community by “Earning their shield” and becoming a full fledged Member of the AJSA! They may do this by proving themselves friendly, dedicated, and competent on the battlefield and by participating actively on our forums.
Recruits are Automatically Promoted to Full Member after (30 Days) with No Strikes on their Account.
Veterans and Higher Ranks may recommend a Recruit to be Promoted sooner with at least 2 weeks of high activity.
Officers will then review the Recruit and approve them for full membership.

Sergeants - An active member who goes above and beyond within the community. Training and Improving other Members gaming skills and offering regular friendly help to new recruits. This is the highest Possible Rank achievable before an Officer Rank.

It is only from this pool that New Officers are considered in new and current games when needed. Only Sergeants and above may be considered to run new AJSA Official Games.
When no Officers are present at an event or in-game a Sergeant will lead squads in game by default if they so choose. Sergeants do not have the power to moderate the boards or discipline other members but are trusted to inform Officers of any potential problems.
Game Specific Officers - These are members who have displayed an aptitude for leadership. An outstanding member of the community, they are responsible for scheduling events, meetings, training sessions and ensuring a positive gaming environment for all members in their respective game.
Game Officers act as moderators on the forums and in game. They may add events to The Official AJSA Calendar only with Approval from a Commander. Game Officers are considered Sergeants if they are playing in a game other than their specified Game.

This is the highest level of work and responsibility within the AJSA. It requires an immense amount of free time and flexibility. They oversee all of the AJSA activities within all our official games and are ultimately responsible for coordinating regular training, meetings and events with our Officers. Game Commanders are always considered Commanders regardless of what game they are playing in.
The AJSA Council - These are the specific individuals that Lord Commander Joe relies on for advisement and executive actions. The Council determines the direction and focus of the Angry Army. Council members have the power to manage and administer all aspects of the AJSA’s direction on behalf or in advisement of the Lord Commander through majority votes. Should The Angry Army Play (WORLD OF TANKS)?
Leave your vote and your opinion in the Thread Below!
*No Council Bashing
*Respect Current Decisions, but know it can be reversed with enough demand from members in The AJSA!
Free to Play and NOT Pay to Win Huge selection of tanks to earn
Customization of tanks with different guns, different turrets, camo's and the basic customization
Game play can start to feel repetitive at lower tiers, as tanks aren't too specialized until later in the game Takes a whole to earn up to higher tier tanks, and some tanks have a really hard starting grind Balancing is still a bit of an issue
Current Council Decision: FAILED! Game did not accumulate enough votes.
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by smellyradish68 in Xbox One owners warned to avoid 'backwards compatibility' prank that bricks consoles
I don't understand people, why ruin other gamers expeirences? Just to get a cheap laugh? That person had to put down $499.00 on that console, whether it was the actual gamer who paid or a gift from someone, that's still a lot of money. It's depressing that people like this actually exist. This prank is like the stupid The Survivor 2299 prank site that came up. The guy who made it, instead of saying gotcha or you were pranked, has a link to a URL that says FU*K YOU. There's really no point to these actions. It's not worth the time someone spends to make other people's lives suck just a little bit more. We're supposed to be a gaming community, where's the community in things like this xbox prank?
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by God Revan in Youtube becoming more Anti-User
NOTICE: Videos will be placed within Spoiler Tags to reduce page loading times.
Recently today, Youtube started to institute a new algorithm system that will periodically and constantly be checking up on your videos for copyrighted material. What this means is that you're not getting a Copyright Strike but what will happen that your video with any kind of copyrighted meterial will be flagged as "Matched Third Party Content" by Youtube, not the copyrighted owner or company, YOUTUBE THEMSELVES. Right now, people that make transformative and creative work with Lets Plays or video games or movies or reviews are ALL subjected for review no matter what by a machine, not a person, a machine....I'm fucking serious. As of right now, if your videos get "Flagged" by this system, you no longer have any kind of LEGAL OWNERSHIP RIGHTS to your videos and/or content.
You are given the opportunity to dispute the claim but unfortunately Youtube gives you no explanation, which violates 512(f), nor any time table of how long this will take. They also have NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER to follow up on the disputes and can just leave it in limbo. This violates sections 512© and 512(g) if we use the interpretation of 512 by Lawrence Lessig founder of creative commons in Lessig v. Liberation Music Pty Ltd. Also if you have Ads to monetize your videos, they are stripped away and given to the copyrighted owner. Your video stays but you make no money.
I have left this video on the bottom since this person, DarksydePhil expected this to happen and has given a much more detailed explanation. Please watch this entirely and hope that Joe sees this as well.
Update 12/10/2013: Publishers and Developers have caught wind of this problems and are confirming that it's not them making the claims and are helping youtubers clear things up. Its is GOOGLE who is making these claims. Here's a video of DarksydePhil showing everyone on how to get monitization back on videos once the claims were released. ALSO provides more information on whats happening with the Content ID debacle.
Update 12/11/2013: Capcom, Naughty Dog, Deep Silver, and other studios have publicly come out and announced that they are NOT behind the Content ID Matching in Youtube, but Google themselves. Although other companies such as Nintendo are either staying silent or taking advantage of this situation to fill their pockets with money. But you want to know whats THE WORST OF ALL? The Record Labels and 3rd Parties companies that made background music or anything in relation are what is slandering, defaming, and screwing with Youtubers and their creative content. Watch the video below for more info. Best part is at 14:07
Update 12/12/13 3:14 AM- Joe's Angry Rant has come up and he goes to town on Youtube's ass!
Update 12/12/13 8:36 PM: Total Biscuit gives his take on the current "Youtube Copyright Blitz" that is hampering the transformative, creative and imaginative work that content creators are going through
Update 12/12/13 9:23 PM: Andre, better known as the Black Nerd goes on explaining his take on the Youtube problem and wants people not to blame Nintendo after many media outlets take his Tweets out of context and assume he was talking about Nintendo. Watch the video for more.
Update 12/13/13 4:20 AM: Basically the first and ONLY person on Youtube that had the balls to say this to a Publisher[or someone who claims to be a Publisher] to take him to Court! DarksydePhil obtained a Copyright Strike from "Sega" on his last part of his Binary Domain Playthrough. He initially disputed the claim with a counter-claim and instead of the usual response, he got a Strike instead of a reinstate claim. Watch the video because shit seriously got real. We finally MIGHT have someone to become the medium of finding out if Video Game Playthroughs/Walkthroughs fall on the Fair Use Doctrine.
PS. Spread the word of this video in specific. Spread the word to the gaming outlets so they can see that someone is standing up against corporate bullshit and to stand up against flawed systems!
Update 12/13/13 3:51 PM: Main post updated. Joe comes back more relaxed and gives his input on what is broken and how it needs to be fixed. He also explain additional points about Ad Revenue with Record Labels. Watch for more info.
Update 12/13/13 11:10 PM: DarksydePhil comes back with nothing but good news for everyone. ID Content Matching is slowing down but apparently there seem to be bugs in the system that aren't sending Emails to the users as its supposed to. Also Sega personally contacted Phil and are looking into his Binary Domain video.
PS. Personally...I was hoping they would take DSP to Court because we SERIOUSLY need a legal precedence whenever Lets Plays are fair use or not. It could still happen though. If it does, I wish him luck.
Update 12/14/13 11:00 PM: In a big 180, DSP has nothing but bad news and informs that most of the Record Labels that are reporting are from UMG Studios and APM Studios. Also shares that he wouldn't complain much because he's in the minority because of the near 25k Videos he has uploaded, only less than 500 were Content ID'ed. He also expresses his feelings to those that edit alot, even mentioning Angry Joe. That people like him that work so hard, do deserve the money they earn. In addition, gives Youtube and Google another kick in the ass. Watch the video for more information.
Update 12/15/13 9:30 PM: Great News everyone! A way has been found to bypass the ID Content match against 3rd Party Music Companies, EVEN getting Blocked Videos Back up. Although I must announce that this trick works ONLY for videos that are under 10k Views. Over 10k Views will error out. This is amazing! DSP explains and gives a walkthrough of on how you can get Monitization back on your videos with 10k and below. And apparently Youtube was AWARE of a way to help Content Creators to remove these ID Content claims but decided not to tell anyone and let them suffer. Watch video for more information.
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by Rilbot in Team Fortress 2 **[Poll Added]**
First off, Team Fortress 2 is a free game, meaning alot of people get to play it. Secondly, it is a very varied game, with many gamemodes and ways to play. It also isn't hard to run servers or play, it being an old game. AJSA members can even make items for the game using the community workshop.
Alas, no game is flawless: TF2 being a free game CAN feel like a cashgrab at times, trading can ususally elivate this. It also can sometimes be problemsome, being a constantly updated game that it crashes, updates also usually eliviate this. It also has a mic feature, so little kids can sometimes come along with their ear shattering voice, again there is a mute option inside steam. The community is very wide and so of course theres gonna be douches that want to trade, or just spray [REDACTED] (it also has a spray feature, btw).
But if you can get past the douchenozzles and the glitches, TF2 is a fun game, with fun people and REALLY fun gameplay.

I ask the Angry Joe Army to help see Halo 4 get the love it deserves.
I have been a big fan of Halo since it was first released and it saddens me to see Halo 4 not have the big community and love that Halo 2, 3 and I think Reach also got. Halo 4 is not the best game in the series but Forge, Custom Games and supporting it can show 343 that the love for Halo is as big as ever.
Ranked Playlists, Social Playlists, and Custom Games Forge so community members can create maps and share them with all of the community Fast Paced Multiplayer compared to older Halo games Customize your Spartan to look as badass as ever Customize your Playstyle to what you want Old and New Gamemodes made better
Can get Repetitive if you play for a long period of time Barely any Big team modes for all 16 players Has no real in game Guild creator Not really a team based game
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by NeOeN in The Elder Scrolls Online: Monthly Subscription for a Full-priced Game
I like The Elder Scrolls serie, to pay 60$ is ok but without 15$/month.
If the make it like GW 2, one time pay i buy it.
But a 15$/month, no thx.
The last few game what tried with a month sub are now f2p.
Tera and SW Old REpublic in less then a year and Secret World change from sub to one time buy model.
Im going to wait and in few months to 1year, i believe its going to be one time pay or f2p.
shadowthehedgehog89 liked a post in a topic by Riflebird in The Elder Scrolls Online: Monthly Subscription for a Full-priced Game
I would be okay if ESO was a regular retail one time payment of $60.
I would be okay if ESO was a subscription model that was $15 a month with the purchase price of $20-$40.
I would be okay if ESO was a free-to-play game with a cash shop that sold micro transactions.
I would even be okay if the business model was a combination of any of the two above.
What I am NOT okay with is ESO triple dipping, charging a full $60 retail, on top of the $15 a month sub, and also having the gall to charge for micro transactions! This is an utterly BS business model that nickel and dimes its customers. The last two MMOs that tried to pull this business model was Star Wars Old Republic and the Secret World; and we know what happened to those two.
Publishers need to stop trying to be the next WoW, because in this climate it isn't gonna happen. WoW and EVE Online are the exceptions to the rule; subscription MMOs are not gonna work anymore regardless of how often game companies try to push them down our throats.
I love the Elder Scrolls series, but I will not be buying ESO. Not only is it not made by Bethesda, it is just not a very good value. I'll stick with Guild Wars 2 and some of the better free to play MMOs out there. Frankly, if history is to be believed, then ESO and Wildstar will be F2P after a few months of launching anyway.
