  1. I haven't played Dota 2 in a few years, and I was going to reinstall, but I saw a bunch of posts about how toxic the community has become. Should I even bother reinstalling, or should I just stick with HotS/Smite/Paragon?
  2. I've searched through Metacritic for all the worst games I own, and I couldn't find any that were less than 39 XD. It seems like the worst game I've played (that I actually like) is Duke Nukem Forever. I wouldn't call it a great game, or even recommend it, but I don't think it's as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.
  3. I'm going to have to go with Shana from Legend of Dragoon. I love the crap out of that game (might go play it a bit later, actually) but I just never liked Shana. I think it's because the game tries SO HARD to get players to like her, to the point that it seems like her whole character is that she's the love interest. To be fair, it's been a while since I've played the game, and playing it again might change my mind, but I just remember really, really hating Shana. I didn't like Vergil from the DmC reboot, either. He was awesome in DMC3, but in the reboot he comes off as arrogant and inept. The game does at least bring that to a decent payoff, though. I won't spoil it too much for anyone who hasn't played the game, since I actually think it's pretty fun.
  4. I'm guessing that Nintendo is going to wait until 2017 to officially announce the NX. When Sega released the Saturn and then announced the Dreamcast, I think part of the problem was that they announced the Dreamcast almost immediately and just stopped supporting the Saturn altogether. If Nintendo's smart, they'll just take the full hit with the Wii U, live with being behind for another year or two, and then release the NX after people have gotten a decent 5 years with the Wii U. Of course, we're talking about a company that thought it was a good idea to give their 8th gen console almost the same name as their 7th gen one and didn't bother to tell anyone they even had a new console out, so who knows? Personally, I hope they'll wait until at least 2017 for the NX.
  5. I haven't heard about the new one. I did recently get to play Revelations 2 Episode 1, and I'm really enjoying it, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Of course, revelations isn't as good as, say, RE4, but still...better than 6. BTW I haven't posted anything in a while, so if it looks like I just magically appeared, that's why.
  6. I'd like to be added to the list if possible. Funeral1231, Qiblu the Dead.
  7. I don't think MK died. More like it just sort of morphed into Injustice lol.
  8. There are a few opinions on this, so I'm just curious. Can a fighting game still be considered good if it has a steep learning curve, or should they all follow the "easy to pick up, hard to master" style? I ask because two of my favorite fighting games, Mortal Kombat 9 and Marvel vs Capcom 2, seem to embody this perfectly. MK hasa control scheme that lets you pick it up and play in a few seconds, but if you take the time to learn its mechanics you can master it eventually. MVC2 on the other hand has this tendency to punish newer players just with its control scheme, but it's definitely not a bad game by any means.
  9. I've asked a lot of people about this myself, and I like both games, but the consensus seems to be that there's more to do in New Vegas and it has a few gameplay improvements, but the plot in Fallout 3 is more interesting. Another thing people tell me that Fallout 3 is glitchy on PC and New Vegas is glitchy on consoles.
  10. I like the first and third ones because of they way Ken Levine handled the plot. Instead of just slapping together some mildly creative video game story, he actually set up the ones he directed as critiques of firmly established philosophical ideas. Bioshock 1 tries to show the problems with Objectivism, and Bioshock: Infinite tries to do something similar with American Exceptionalism. In fact, Andrew Ryan's name is a slight anagram of Ayn Rand, the founder of Objectivism. QUICK EDIT: My bad, Ken Levine did not actuallly design the games, he wrote them. My point still sands though. ANOTHER QUICK EDIT: Ken Levine did design Infinite, but not the first one.
  11. This game is amazing. It's impossible to be in a bad mood while you play it, even if you're making Valve Software wish they could ban you for how bad you are at it.
  12. This is probably the third forum of which I've become a member, and hopefully I won't just stop posting here like I did the other ones. I've been a fan of the Angry Joe Show for a while and decided I should join the Angry Army just to see how it would go. So far so good. As you can see from the title line, I'm not a bear, and am in fact much too short, so feel free to message me stuff about things and stuff.
