Guess who's back? The purple dragon has returned and will be playable 21st September 2018:

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy North American owners can enter the iconic code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, square) in the menu of Crash Bandicoot Warped to watch the trailer, too.

The voice actor for Spyro in Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon will be returning our purple hero. Unleash the dragon!

It's time to head back to Lordran. Dark Souls is getting remastered for all current generation consoles: PC, PS4, XBone, and Switch:

I am inclined to agree with the above.
Coming from someone who was there at the start for the first game and who played all the way through to the Taken King expansion, there are glaring problems with this franchise in general that have yet to be actually addressed or even acknowledged by the companies involved.

"Identity Crisis"- Simply put, even from the beginning this series has had a hard time trying to decide what exactly it wants to be. And everyone you speak to about it will all have their own answer to said question. And often what ends up happening is that the game's vague identity makes for a whole host of convenient buzz word rebuttals to anyone posing legitimate issues or concerns with the game. For example, the non-existent Player Progression. The fact that the game itself is 90% designed to revolve around the player spending the vast majority of their time replaying the same content over and over again in an agonizing grind and fight against the game's RNG Loot to acquire Legendary and Exotic items. And then the instant something "new" gets released, all of that time and effort spent grinding is thrown out the window at the drop of a hat as suddenly all of your weapons and armor are rendered obsolete whether or not the newer gear is even actually any good. (You'll always go for what offers the higher damage/armor rating, eliminating any notion of actual freedom of choice in how you want to build your character)

A common argument will usually consist of "well that's how they do it in an MMO" which is such a disingenuous response.
First, Destiny is not an MMO. The most someone could possibly get away with calling it is MMO Lite. Because there is certainly nothing at all "massive" about it.
Second, not EVERY game calling itself an MMO does that.
Third, the entire notion itself absolutely kills any justifiable reasoning for playing Destiny beyond beating the main story content which, from personal experience and from what I've seen of others, ranges anywhere between 7-8 hours of playtime for anyone decent at shooters. The same is true for the Raids. Let us assume someone buys Destiny 2 for instance. Beat the main story and then step away until the next DLC is released. Within minutes you'll get weapons and armor dropping from basic enemies that will give you the necessary stats to run that Raid, with the added bonus of having completely bypassed the grind.

Meanwhile, recently I finally caved in and decided to start playing Borderlands 2.
Holy crap... Its like Night and Day between the two. I have yet to beat the game's main story and already I've seen boss innovation, epic level design, vehicle combat that actually encourages having friends on to ride along with you like back in the good o' days of Halo with the Warthog, a literal wealth of different and unique weapons, an AMAZING story with enjoyable characters, actual variation between the different classes to choose from, an actual reason to explore the map and finding all kinds of tucked away loot damn near everywhere...

At this point I've been left wondering to myself if Destiny was trying to more emulate Borderlands 2 or a weird mix between that and Warframe. (Since I recall hearing that Warframe was in fact a source of inspiration for Destiny) But in both regards, even with both highly successful games being readily available for easy research, Destiny failed on both fronts in trying to do what these other games had already accomplished.

Argetlahm already brought up the points regarding the gutting of the grimoire, and honestly it didn't ever really reflect on anything experienced in the game anyways. And I read the hell out of that thing. Between that and everything I've seen concerning the ORIGINAL story by Joseph Staten who was the former Lead Writer on Destiny before its initial release, the plot that we see now in the game just flatout pales in comparison to the sheer masterpiece that could have been. And at no point in time was this flawed narrative ever properly seen to by the company. Ever.

Others may argue that the story has "improved" over time, but I disagree with that notion because it implies that the flawed narrative was corrected at some point. Which it wasn't. Vanilla Destiny, which acts as the foundation for EVERYTHING else in the series, is riddled with plot holes, horrendous storytelling and an anti-climatic and confusing final boss fight/ending that to this day remains one of the most popular memes on the internet. Zero attempts were made to go back and change any of it. Because that would involve giving the people who already paid for that content free, additional content which they won't do unless they can make money off of it. Which is quite frankly a load of horseshit. You would think that they should feel obligated to provide a COMPLETE game to their players as compensation for continuing to remain loyal even after being sold an incomplete game. Or at the very least, as a means to try and win back those who decided to quit as a result of such.

I could easily keep going but I'd rather not test to see if there is a text limit on posts, lol
In my opinion, I would hold off on getting Destiny 2.
If you haven't played it yet, I can DEFINITELY recommend Borderlands 2 instead. You will definitely be getting your money's worth.

  4. Malphisto liked a post in a topic by argetlam350 in is destiny 2 worth it
IMO, no it isn't. Yes I enjoyed Destiny to a degree, perhaps even more than just a degree since I still go back from time to time, and while Destiny 2 improves on Year One Destiny design and ideas, the fundamental upgrades that Destiny gained throughout the last three years of support are absent. The story while better is still mediocre at best compared to many stories from other games out on the market. Then the fact that things players asked for are not there and instead of just been wiped (primarily I mean the grimore. All that lore that we wanted to be in game instead of on a website, just gone. Luckily fans have placed sites up with all that information and details up like the ishtarcollective but Bungie couldn't have the heart to put in game liked desired).
In the long run of things it just doesn't have the same addiction to it. As much as I HATED grinding for a weapon in Destiny, looking for that god role for a gun or piece of armor, the lack of grinding in Destiny 2 and static rolls all weapons and armor have kills the replay value. I have everything I want with little effort really on my titan. Instead of trying to find a balance for that grind they removed it entirely to streamline it. Grinding can be fun if done right but Bungie seems to of just taken the easy route and removed it. The PvP aspect, while I enjoy the 4v4 aspect of it, lacks any need of skill. Now it just is a teamshot mode. That and weapon balance still seems to be Bungie's Achilles heel with Scout Rifles currently being the meta, especially the Midamulti Tool with a few god autorifles that tear through health. Then the fact that the multiplayer mode is a grab-bag mess. If I want to Control, I don't want to have to slog through Supremacy and Clash. Or that I can't choose specific strikes that I might want to do, instead I'm forced to go to the playlist. They removed the idea of choices to just being playlists that leave me scratching my head on why?
Ultimately, again IMO, Destiny 2 should of just been another expansion instead of a separate game. It takes a step forward and then stumbles backwards several steps. I would say wait until they release an edition that includes all the future expansions like they have done with Destiny because it isn't worth shelling out over a hundred dollars for Destiny 2 to get everything.
  5. Crazycrab liked a post in a topic by argetlam350 in Destiny 2 review. Kept ya waiting huh? :D
To correct some lore first, The Queen is actually alive but is MIA. Bungie even has confirmed this.
Also I know no one who wanted the Speaker to stay alive, in fact they praise the Cabal for killing him actually so I don't think any character development for him would change that.
Also why do people think Anthem will be the messiah? Shouldn't we be more cautious on Anthem because of games like Destiny and the Division which is seems to copy. I don't deny it looks interesting but at the same time we shouldn't be hyping it or thanking 'god' for a game we know pretty much nothing on.
As for the review, while not watching it I have seen posts listing the major points both positive and negative. I disagree with some (personally I enjoy Failsafe and wish I could switch her snarky wit with dull Nolan-bot). Also I fall into the camp that really he has no base to critique the raid when he didn't even play it and just comes with his conclusion from someone else footage. To compare to the extreme it would be as if he did a review of a game he never played but watched someone else play it and then came up with his view on the game. Just my opinion on that. It doesn't discredit his other points, he is right on those.
Also, a bit off topic but I can't take Del serious because from what I understand he was a bit of an ahole to anyone who liked the first game even slightly. Plus it seems any game he plays, he constantly nitpicks, even games that are pretty good. But that is a topic for another time.

At the end of the day I guess what I'm try to say is, I agree with the score AND that we should be cautious with Bioware's Anthem and not hype it.

I don't really understand these comments, he's on track to posting what will probably be more reviews than last year. I don't know why his Youtube financial situation is such a concern for you, even more so when you don't know how much he earns on Youtube, through sponsored content, or through Twitch. From what he says and what the views show he could very well end up making more on his content that isn't reviews. Friday 13th has 1.2+ million views, Injustice 2 has 800,000+, his movie reviews of Spiderman and Transformers have 440,000+ and 760,000+ and they are newer, he enjoyed making them and they take less time, energy, and money for him to create.

It's worked just fine for a lot of other people, and they all seem happier for it or it doesn't seem to have effected them.

Having people constantly complaining is going to take a toll on most people, it's certainly something that has effected many other Youtubers. Four years ago was four years ago and with the environment around most gaming communities having only gotten worse since then and an additional four years of feeling the effects of it it can change the situation. This is all without even getting into people starting fights in his comment section or covering it with offensive comments either aimed at Joe, his friends, other commenters, or other people.

As he's been saying for years though, he doesn't want to do that. He likes doing the other content and the streaming as well, and is obviously in a situation where that has been working for him financially and where he would rather not have the comments on that content rather than no longer creating it. I don't even know if that will be the case, he has drama channels making videos of him and a toxic Youtuber whining about his comment being deleted and that's really nothing that hasn't happened before and will happen again no matter what he ends up doing.

The implication that those sites are lying to people is ridiculous, and they and similar sites have had or have people in their employ or freelance positions that currently put out what is easily some of the best writing, thoughts, interviews, and videos in the industry, as well as people who have gone on to work in game design and created well received titles.

I just realized this thread exists.
Look peeps, Joe's human. If you actually look at the stuff he puts out this year compared to the last, there's actually more reviews than before in half a year, and it's definitely taking a toll on him, so he simply needs a break. I expected it though since he did make a schedule that is quite packed and his reviews usually took a lot of preparations, and trying to do it as quickly as possible will definitely be a risky thing especially if he's unable to follow through on the schedule. He said it himself that he's just going to take a short break and when the big games are coming, he'll cover those games.

Besides there's not that many big games in July to cover anyway. July there's only Pyre and well, that's not that big of a game. It's football, but in purgatory! Or a world where you have to repent your sin by going to different stars and play spirit football. Fun, but not a game that Joe will take a look at. Maybe he'll cover at least one game in August since there's only Uncharted Lost Legacy, Life is Strange Before the Storm and Yakuza Kiwami, but I doubt it.

Update: Waiiiiit a minute....... THESE 4 GAMES ARE COMING THIS AUGUST AS WELL??

Well I'm not that excited with Agents of Mayhem since it's more like if Saints Row get mixed with Overwatch, and Saints Row 3 & 4 are, meih, too samey once you play them for 20+ hours. But STILL!! Such a shame that he won't cover these games!! Maybe a gameplay preview of sort but that ain't the same!

Anyway, good news is September will be busy with reviews. Destiny 2, Total War Warhammer 2 and CUPHEAD! OH CUPHEAD YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL! Well that last one is definitely not going to be reviewed but JUST LOOK AT THIS GAME. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!

And from personal experience, it's the worst move to actually listen to youtube commenters, because they are mostly populated by the stupidest and most pathetic people on the internet that talks the absolute STUPIDEST nonsense, and it will keep on getting worse and worse. That's why I use youtube comment blockers since 2013, and it's the best thing I have ever done. Everyone that's popular on youtube are definitely going to get affected by this issue one time in their life. This is just Joe's turn.
  10. RogueKnightKisuke93 liked a post in a topic by argetlam350 in Cheating In Dark Souls 3
What gets people banned, unfortunately, is that the person who is cheating might drop an item to "GIVE" to the player. This item was no doubt cheated into the game which however Fromsoftware does cheat detection is why people get banned. Unfortunately the innocent party picks up the item and thus the cheat system thinks they are cheating because they have a cheated weapon so they get banned. So the lesson is, if there is a cheater and they drop an item, don't pick it up.

If you run into a cheater who wants to fight well your choices pretty much resolve around, killing yourself, getting to the boss fog door, or finding the means to trick them into falling off an edge. But you shouldn't be banned if you are invaded by a cheater, only if you pick up something that was dropped by the cheater.

All right this is going to be long so bare with me:
So we finally see the story which lucky enough hasn't been scraped and replaced with something else like the first game. Not only has the story remained the same but it seems to actually be a cohesive story where the Guardians get their butts kicked and go on a journey of rediscovery and finds what it means to be a guardian, getting the vanguard back together and taking on Ghaul and retake the last city. Better then Destiny that never seem to have any cohesiveness to it besides a bunch of people saying 'hey theirs some darkness, go attack it or something. Reason? Don't have time to explain.' So awesome a put together story. Will it be good now, we have no clue but it's better then what we got in the first game at launch. I hope there is slightly more then just finding the vanguard heads and a bit of creating a force to take on the Cabal forces. The only thing I'm not thrilled about how they have decided to just wipe all the progress from the first game when they originally stated before even the first game released was that we could carry stuff from year 1 to year 10. But fine whatever I'll let it slide at the moment.
So some new locations, this one is good and bad. Going through the story we are visiting these places because we need to find the vanguard leaders who left to their own places because of the loss on Earth, well two of them anyways ran off, Cayde got caught and we have to go save him. On one side hey all new locations and planets cool, on the other hand- What the hell happened to the Moon, Venus, and Mars? Why can't we go back their? You made an entire new location on Earth but apparently couldn't for the three other previous planets. The Dreadnaught I can understand but three planets nope and I hope they do not plan to be like 'hey you can visit these planets... In the expansions.' So I'm disappointed that so far these three places seem to have just been replaced. Maybe I'll be wrong but if the main story focuses on around finding the three vanguard members and then taking on Ghaul well that worries me I might be right on that these three previous locations are gone.
On a positive note at least we have new weapon types, sort of. At least one which is the grenade launcher, the minigun is apparently an exotic autorifle at the moment after looking at some gameplay. Also like how the weapon system is reworked for guardians.
No new enemy types. While this could be just because we saw so little of the game itself, I'm personally disappointed the lack of new enemies. Yes we see new variations of the Cabal which is nice but I was expected from a race that has been described in grimore cards to conquered other worlds and use those they enslave in their forces like the psions, that there would be some new races seen among the ranks. So far we only have the warhounds that the legion have but nothing else. I'm slightly not expecting to see many new enemies but I shall wait and see on that. Also would of like to see the Fallen again because the House of Kings is still a threat to watch for since our Guardian never dealt with their kell and they are pretty much the only house still standing. But I have a bit of fear we aren't going to be dealing with much of them which to me is worrisome but again we shall see.
Having viewed multiple videos of the strike, I can only assume we are seeing part of the open world aspect which does look nice but it's hard to tell what part will be part of the free roam and what is only part of the strike, my guess would be to the point of where the mine is will be part of the open world and stuff beyond that is strike only. I wish we had seen more of the open world aspect due to that being something promised in the first game but we never really got, more of just a linear path that went in a circle. I want more open terrain to explore and not the same loop open world we had in the first game. I can only hope they show that soon or wait for the beta so see.

Overall I'm disappointed at what was shown because really it just looks more of the same. I was hoping for a little open world showing to show that they improved it more besides just showing that they have more indepth maps. Seen a bit more of the other enemies, since in the trailer we know that the fallen will appear but other then that we really only saw one vandal in looked like and then a few of the small guys. I know they are saving stuff for later but it just feels lacking IMO on what was shown and makes it look more like Destiny 1.5 rather then Destin 2. I'm not writing the game off entirely I just thought the reveal would of been a bit... better, to me it was just meh. Neither bad or good, just in between, something that could of been saved for a few more weeks for E3 rather then a separate reveal. Perhaps E3 will reveal more who knows.
Also this doesn't help them either for me:

Going by the symbols alone we pretty much know the main idea who or what these expansions will be about. Two expansions dealing with two rather commonly talked about characters in the first game and its DLC: Osiris and Rasputin. They are stuck behind a bloody paywall. Who the hell decided this? Osiris maybe but the Warmind, the Warmind that has seemingly found itself it nearly every story in some form, is going to be a damn expansion. That is one big no-no that should not be IMO, these two should be part of the main game not behind a paywall.

But in Dark Souls 1 I have access to at least 3 zones in which I get destroyed, the ghost area in which you need the item to hit them, the skeletons at the very beginning and some gargoyle-dragon-ish things? And I kinda know what I'm doing, I've invested lots of hours in Dark Souls 2 and 3 (and some Bloodborne), but MY problem was that even though I dodge and block the monsters it still takes an absurdly long amount of time to kill just one, especially the gargoyle-like things. So is it really good? I would say not really in my opinion.
However if they become available at the appropriate time, meaning when you don't need to spend 10 minutes to kill one, that would be good, yes, I don't remember having any of those issues in 2 and 3, maybe the combat was a bit slower back in 1 but I felt like almost every area I was in was the "wrong" one for my level.
But I mean, what do I know? I enjoyed Dark Souls II so I'm a heathen >.>
You might like later installments in the series though, like I said I don't remember having so many "wrong" options in DS2/3 and Bloodborne and I genuinely feel like players who ignored the whole series missed a lot, I also thought the game is garbage when I first played DS2 and I thought this:
was a decent video discussing why some players might feel like that.

Anytime. Really never understood the whole 'git gud' thing. I've used it as a joke yes but when people use it to somehow justify their opinion makes no sense. While we might not agree on opinion I do get what you are saying because when I first played Demon's Souls, I was indeed in the same boat. Was at a friends house he told me to try this game out I never heard of and I honestly got stomped, didn't even get to the first boss and said screw it. Then same friend showed me a trailer for Dark Souls and though 'hey this setting looks cool' and got it without realizing same developer of Demon's Souls.

Beat Dark Souls and upon learning that it was the same developer decided to give Demon's Souls a go again and enjoyed it. So yeah I do get why some people don't enjoy it and yes I do see that there are some cheap things in Demon's Souls that they did improve upon with the later Dark Souls releases. One thing I will admit that Demon's Souls was poor explaining was the whole Tendancy system which if you didn't understand at the beginning would give new players who stuck with the game a hard time since they would unknowningly go into black world tendancy because of the issue that they wouldn't know that dying in human form while in a level makes it go that way and getting out of black world tendancy is tough.

So yeah I get what you are saying just that I don't entirely agree but hey everyone has different tastes and there is no reason to get mad at someone with different tastes and opinions. Rather better to try and understand why they have that opinion and just talk. Much more enjoyable.

First off, I wanna offer a massive thank you to argetlam350, Wade D McGinnis and Ghaleon for offering and delivering a civilized debate on this. Totally serious, thank you. I kinda expected an ignorant and/or arrogant "get gud" kind of responce from defenders and was very pleased by the response i got instead. So once again, thank you.

Even so, even if I'm wrong and played the wrong level, the bullshit still stinks here. I'm not gonna repeat my points, but i told the truth as i know it though my best reasoning. Even if I did play level 4 and thus fought through enimies at to high a level right at the start, the strategy is still crypic as hell, the level layout still filled with bullshit traps and earning no bonus for said effort. Maybe I am the idoit here, but that's what progressing in Demon Souls made me feel like, a fucking idiot for wasting my time on it. I enjoy challenging games, but achieving in said game should make you feel empowered for accomplishing (even your said accomplishment won't get you anywhare) rather than a fool for trying in the first place. That's the ultimate sin of Demon Souls. Even doing well in it made me feel fucking stupid.

So, thanks for the counterpoints where I genuinely did learn something, but the explanation of what I thought (and mostly still think) are problems with the game are either still there or have lead to further questions and further problems. So I'm done.

If you enjoy Demon Souls, good for you, consider me jealous, but to me it's pile of dung with terrible AI getting away with it because it's "hard". Lazy, unsatisfying, and frustrating beyond maddening. One of the worst games i played on the PS3, and I played that reboot of Golden Axe.

Well if what you are describing is correct then you were in World 1-1, Boletaria Palace which yes you are correct, is the only place you can access after the tutorial. The confusion is coming from the fact you mention skeleton enemy as the first enemy you faced outside the tutorial but skeleton enemies reside in World 4-1 (yes this is the right number, not sure how anyone is confusing world 4-1 with 5-1), Shrine of Storms.
Skeletal enemies don't reside anywhere else in the game besides world 4 which is thus where the confusion comes from in this entire conversation.

Now to go into detail on being able to access pretty much anywhere upon competition of the first part of Boletaria well I don't see the issue. Most people will assume to progress in a numerical pattern which the game provides going from world 1 to world 2 and so forth. The ability to go to any location allows for the more experience to bypass the other worlds and seek items they desire. It isn't impossible to beat those worlds at low levels just hard especially when one does not know what they are doing. There is no idiication what you did was wrong because it wasn't, you are allowed to go anywhere, you chose world 4-1 and got beat thus telling you that perhaps you should try a different location. The game is based on risk and reward. The bonus XP would be from killing the enemy since they would provide more souls then the usual enemy expected for your level.

While I can get where the AI might of pissed you off, no AI is somehow cryptic, they all have a pattern. Of course in frustration it is hard to visualize those patterns though like I said early the skeletons were in deed quite tough enemies.

To conclude, and I don't mean this in any way as being mean but ultimately these games are just not for you.

Dark Sword is good just be careful in PvP, people despise that weapon in PvP due to how spammable it is so you'll get hate for it depending on the PvPers you come across.
Personally my most favorite weapon from the DLC is this for a faith build I have:
Going back to my original post not trying to discredit the review or anything, I was just stating after countless hours of the game and testing builds and talking  with others on how practical certain builds are in both PvE and PvP.
Well then if you are on NG+ I won't spoil the bosses in the DLC, just that be prepared for some tough fights.

The game yeah you are going to normally beat between the levels of 80 to 100, give or take depending on skills and such, so you beat it where pretty much else beat the game the first time level wise.
I wouldn't really say theory on the Nameless King, granted yeah the game never confirms it but it is pretty much accepted that the Nameless King is Gywn's firstborn and was cast out for aligning with the dragon's which would make a lot of sense. The only other option in game wise would be the the war god Faraam that the Faraam Knight's worshipped.
Twinblades, yes that is a bummer since the only real early game option for a twinblade is the Warden's Twinblade and that is if you want to grind to get it off the few Cathedral Warden's in the Cathedral of the Deep.
Now as for magic, miracles, and pyromancy, going to have to say you are slightly wrong on magic.Yes Pyromancy is definitely the easiest, most the good spells you need you can get once you hit the Catacombs and Demon Ruins. But magic is still a OP build for PvE, the only issue being is that it takes longer to get the ball rolling with a magic build. Same goes with a miracle build if you want offensive miracles it takes time but are pretty damn good once you have them. PvP is where magic sucks since they are easy to dodge. The thing with magic and miracles that need to remember though that you'll need rings if you want to get them to be powerhouses is the key to magic being strong. Miracles have Morne's Ring and Ring of the Sun's Firstborn. Magic you'll need Young Dragon Ring and Bellowing Dragon Ring, also probably Crown of Dusk. Scholar's Candlestick also helps boost magic damage and if you so desire you can use the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring to lengthen a spells use. Sage ring can help with spell casting if dex is less then 30.
So long story short, magic and miracle builds can be powerful but you have to invest time into finding the rings as well as be willing to be patient to get the late game miracles/spells you'll want to use with them. The only really big barrier for a magic build then will be when they hit the Ringed City bosses, for some reason they have some insane magic resistance.

I'd also like to counter the worst boss with the Deacon's of the Deep. While no where near as boring as Pinwheel in Dark Souls or the Clergy in Dark Souls 2, it just is tedious to deal with a bunch of little guys to go after one guy who if you don't attack fast enough at a certain point will cause the arena to be filled with curse and screw you over. Later NG runs make the fight simple to deal with a just an annoying detour you have to do if you want to get to Ilthryl.
Then for hardest boss well I won't spoil the Ringed City fights.

Oh I agree the system is stupid. I do hope they still do something with the Kings because I rather enjoy the fallen stuff especially with how the Kings are perhaps the most powerful house with how manipulative they are of the other houses but the new cards seem to be pointing that we might not ever know. Hopefully though they are planning something big for the fallen. I do hope they improve as well.

Now enough about the lore back to the topic at hand. I forgot about Battlefront 2. Another game that I do hope they have learned from the mistakes of the first but I have my doubts as well. As least they plan to have a single player, that's at least a step in the right direction.

Destiny 2. Not because of the lore (though that crap better be in game and not force me to go to some website to learn stuff I agree) but because they rip important crud out of the main game to make it expansion later. Hell they all ready have two expansions announced, with leaked image of what the Expansion 1 and Expansion 2 image are which played key components in the first game. Expansion 1 has the Eye of Osiris for its logo and Expansion 2 has the symbol of the Warminds', more importantly it probably will deal with the AI Warmind that has been talked about the most and in the game, Rasputin. SO yeah, thanks Bungo for deciding to remove two pivotal things more then likely and make them expansions that probably won't be any bigger then the Crota expansion. Oh joy... So yeah while I do hope Bungo learned from mistakes, I also sincerely believe they haven't and they are going to repeat the same mistakes again (which with all ready two planned expansions up for preorder like the original game it seems to be the case).

As for the lore, House of Kings we still don't know much but some new grimore card has the Brother of the Queen stating the House of Kings as being "a broken house, with a broken leader." or something along those lines. Perhaps when the Devil's found the Siva they struck the House of Kings breaking them. House of Kings after all seem to have left Old Russia by the time of Rise of Iron comes around. Either that or the Borther just really doesn't like fallen since in the same card it talks about him seeking the House of Kings guided by an echo of his sister, the Queen. He seemingly wishes to subvert the Fallen to his own end. Also another card states that the Fallen are seemingly leaving/withdrawing from their locations and burning their banners. Perhaps the real Kell of Kells is coming?

As for the Cabal, it was actually a mission not a strike that tells you about the distress beacon sent out of the system, this is why Destiny 2's main enemy is the Cabal. I doubt we will fight the Emperor though, maybe like the champion of the emperor or something but the emperor himself I doubt would come to the system like Oryx did. The Vex are finicky things. While we did do devastating things to them I don't think they are entirely gone. They seem like coach roaches to me, no matter what you do they just don't stay gone, all they need is time which they manipulate. I do hope we are done with the hive for awhile actually kind of sick of them after Oryx.

Yes the original story, since then it was updated with to quote IGN's story:
Thus suggesting that there has indeed been a change to the game for at least Australian to give it an R 18+ classification. The statement from Red Barrels suggests that what changes were made for Australian might of been made for the worldwide launch though there is no full confirmation thus IGN has reached out to them.

    \SPOILERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

So from PAX East some new gameplay footage has come out. Here are the videos showing off the Dreg Heap and the first boss we will fight. Just be warned that the commentary is terrible and the person playing is... Not the greatest to put it mildly.

The boss fight has seemingly been changed from what was recently shown by VaatiVIdya. When Vaati talked about the boss it was called the Crimson Bat and we fought that boss until a certain amount of health was taken off and then the second boss appeared but now it seems we are fighting both from the get go and they have names now:
