    here's the latest partlist: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/rZY3nQ

along with that coolermaster case, shows no problems with compatibility, should all fit fine

Its about 2-2.5 PS3s in weight.  But the trade-off is that:
    - You have a removable motherboard tray, so you can assemble most of it outside the case, and then put all of it inside once you're done.
    - The huge amount of space would accomodate almost all GPUs and CPU coolers.
    - It has space for a few more fans... or water cooling.

I have taken it on a couple of road trips with no problems.  But the SG09, it weighs about 1.5-2 PS3s, the bag really helps and I've taken it with me on a flight a couple of times... also without problems.

For the HAF XB, it has 2 sturdy handles so you can easily carry it.  It wont fit in a bag and its a little heavy with all the components, but you could put it in the backseat of the car.

Here's a couple of videos to help you get a sense of its shape:

The great thing about this is that if you decide to go SLI (or triple SLI), you won't have a problem... and as far as I know, this case even accomodates water cooling if you want to OC.

I think I will get Fallout 3 because I love the idea of a post apocalyptic world to be alittle more seriously, thanks, but if I like 3, I'll probuably get New Vegas down the road

Yeah, im pretty sure its less effort to just pirate a game than to go about scamming refund policies if you were so inclined to play games free via shady methods

People really will find ways to complain about everything, huh?
I'm pretty sure the people looking at $5 indie games and saying "I want to play that, but I don't want to pay!" have already found a way of getting around that long ago, without needing Steam's new refund policy.

If the game can be beaten in under 2 hours, that's a matter to be considered by the gamedevs.
Maybe adding some replayability could help.
Games giving discounts for other games could have their discounts locked after the 2 hours of gameplay are logged.

I don't think Valve passes the money immediately to a developer, and it certainly adds to the dissapointment to buy a game only to watch it go into a sale the next day.
If a developer/publisher is adding a game to a sale, they are aware of the diminishing individual payoff, and this is effectively making the discount available post-purchase as long as the times fit into the rules for refunds.
This simple move is a serious reason to buy from them without fear of a surprise discount raining on a wanted game.
Somehow, I get the impression that most of the process will be performed automatically, with human interaction only to validate a batch of "routine refunds" plus closer scrutiny of "sketchy refunds" and "probable abuses of the system". So, the system should be fairly quick.
An automated process to scan for abuses would start by logging how many games an account/bank card requests refunds.
If it were me, I'd light warning lights the third time in a month that an account requests refunds, and would have red lights shining all over the dashboard if it happens within a single week.

That's what the whole "if we find you're abusing the system, we'll block you from further refunds" paragraph is about.
Account buys a game, plays it for an hour and half, writes review, requests refund.... the third of fourth time, the account is analyzed and considered for excemption from the program.
And this is why I mentioned the bank cards too. If a new account tries to do the same with the same bank card, it's the same person trying to wiggle out of the ban. So, it gets searched and pummeled into fine dust.
Yes, some people will find a way around the system. No solution is perfect.
But it will take time and lots of effort from their part.
  9. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by Ysnar in Twitch updated their code of conduct to ban AO (Adult Only 18+) games yesterday...
They updated their code of conduct:
"Our goal at Twitch is to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive community platform where everyone can feel comfortable and have fun. From time to time, we update our Rules of Conduct (RoC) in pursuit of this goal and to match emerging issues in the video game industry.
Previously, we made game-specific decisions about which games would and would not be available for broadcast – sometimes due to overtly sexual content, sometimes due to gratuitous violence. This is unsustainable and unclear, generating only further confusion among Twitch broadcasters. We would like to make this policy as transparent as possible.
Today, we’re updating the RoC with regard to Adult Only (AO) games. Simply put, AO games are not welcome on Twitch. Please refer to the ESRB’s Ratings Guide and list of Adults Only games for more information.
While the ESRB ratings apply exclusively to US titles, our policy extends to versions of these games in all territories. Generally, if the US version is rated for Adults Only (18+) or has an equivalent rating in your territory, you should not broadcast that game on Twitch.
The RoC is a living document that we update regularly based on community feedback and industry developments. We would appreciate your feedback, too."
    http://www.twitch.tv/user/legal?page=rules-of-conduct

And added an extra description for clarity:
If a game’s US version is rated Adults Only by the ESRB, you should not broadcast that game on Twitch. However, ESRB rated Mature versions of Adults Only titles are permitted for streaming, such as Mature versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.
Games rated 18+ by other rating systems are fine to stream, so long as they are not rated AO by the ESRB, and they don’t violate the standard language of our RoC and ToS.

  10. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by Humorousone in Running out of storage on my C:Drive, help!
It's worth bearing in mind that windows 81 uses 10% of the drive for system restore points, far too much if you ask me.
If you're keeping all the files you wouldn't want to lose in cloud storage, you can use that extra 10% far more usefully than data redundancy.

I disabled system restore points completely, as I've never had a reason to use them.
Also, if something goes very wrong, I use it as an opportunity to do a complete fresh install. Gaah the performance.

you can do a drive cleanup.
go to "my computer" >  right click on C:\  > click on disk cleanup > mark all points and press cleanup (after its done restart).

also delete (if you have a nvidia card) temporary driver installation files.
c:\nvidia (delete the whole displaydriver folder - you dont need it).

maybe u have also other temp files on c stored from recording software or anything like this?

with the tool windirstat you can also look what folders/files  take the most space on your drive.

This operating system scares me. Their privacy policy is crazy. They have literally all of your data.
“Microsoft collects information about you, your devices, applications and networks, and your use of those devices, applications and networks. Examples of data we collect include your name, email address, preferences and interests; browsing, search and file history; phone call and SMS data; device configuration and sensor data; and application usage.”
“If you open a file, we may collect information about the file, the application used to open the file, and how long it takes any use [of]it for purposes such as improving performance, or [if you]enter text, we may collect typed characters, we may collect typed characters and use them for purposes such as improving autocomplete and spell check features.”
This operating system is a key logger virus basically.
Microsoft is also putting special hardware into the computers to prevent you from using Linux.

People were scared about the Kinetic spying on them but when it comes to windows 10 no one is complaining...

Sharkster does seem to have a bit of an attitude, but that's about it. Course when a mod is told to give someone their "parent's contact info because they don't educate idiots for free", can't totally blame him for it. Also when I've modded for a couple forums, if I banned someone based on insults and harassment via private conversation I did have to show proof/screenshot etc thus sharing private conversation with other mods/admin. Sometime, when it was decided that the ban had to be explained to the community as a whole, we did have to provide that information as well. I don't know how common a practice that is, but I've seen it used in multiple forums.

Also The guy critiqued a video he disagreed with, so what?  He wasn't going out of the way to harass you. He even explicitly said and I quote
"This is NOT a witch hunt. Please do not harass him or anything" Yeah he mentions an inability to count which, Ok, so yeah, that last part might sting someone's egos a bit, but it's opinion, nothing more. You go on about their inability to take criticism but it looks more like you are the one on a rampage with a bruised ego.
I mean absolutely no offense btw, I'm just saying what it "look's like" from the view of an observer.

You can't seriously be this dense. Providing constructive criticism is one thing. Insulting a member of the development team is another.
  15. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by Zieglobaz in Reakktor - shady developer
Admittedly, I only glanced over this, but I didn't see any racism on the dev's part.
I also don't think you deserve your money back because you paid for something that's free now, that's just how the market works. Granted, $90 down to free is a more extreme example, but it's very common that things come down in price as time goes on, and you generally don't get your money back for being an early purchaser. Sometimes, if a company is nice, they'll price match for maybe a few days after the purchase, but it's not guaranteed.
This really seems like a mountain out of a molehill.
    Edit:
    Also agreeing with this
  16. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by Legolas_Katarn in lets talk about the bullsh*t around digital copies
Not all Steam games have DRM. You can also get DRM free copies of games on GOG and Humble Bundle's store, as well as some other online stores.

Companies frequently shut down the servers for their games, preventing them from being played online on consoles. Money has to be paid for the online service. Some games had online passes. DLC for games can be lost if their store or online service was to be shut down. Physical copies of games, as well as the consoles themselves, will also deteriorate over time.
I don't know what you mean by activation, you only have the one service on a console.
Insulting a large portion of our community is a good way for you to get quickly removed from the community, don't do it again.

The PS3, Vita, PS4, 360, and One give out multiple free digital games every month, most likely almost every console owning members of this community has digital copies of games.
Having to enter the correct things to get passed DRM requiring you to have the box/directions/case artwork/etc, entering CD Codes when installing games, having the possiblity of disks being lost, stolen, or damaged, having a house full of physical copies of games, paying significantly more money for games, having to try to find ways of getting older games to work properly (now some places like GOG are very good at doing that for you), losing all save data anytime something happened to my computer before cloud saves, developers not being able to make games due to being unable to produce and market physical copies. Better isn't exactly how I would describe it.
  17. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by ofFireandStone in lets talk about the bullsh*t around digital copies
GOG stands for good old games, they sell 100% DRM free games, no key and your free to install and store as many copies as you desire, they just launched GOG Galaxy which serves much the same purpose as Steam minus the DRM.

From what I understand, the main issue people are having with this (other than it's the evil Microsoft corporation doing it) is that this sets a precedent for companies and other third parties to affect the property of private citizens. The real issue here wouldn't just be that these parties have the capability, but have protected themselves and their right to use this power behind a legal firewall that likely can't be taken down, if for no other reason than those who would want to simply can't afford the legal fees it would require to take away what is really a HUGELY unfair position of power from these third parties.
The main idea lots of people find so repugnant is that these companies are telling people, "We've put a lot of work into this, and we own the ideas behind it, so, if you buy our product, you can only use it in a way we want you to. If you don't do what we say, we're taking it away from you without reimbursement, and there's nothing you can do about this."
And the response from those who disagree with the worried people (and this is an over-simplification, I'm aware) boils down to, "they made it, and the contract says it, so we have to abide by it. Just do what they say and don't rock the boat."
So, really, the issue at hand is that these companies have the power to create completely tilted and unfair contracts for those buying the products for use in their own homes - contracts that many of the companies can change at any time, thereby making said contracts worthless for the consumer - and the consumer has no real way of making these companies stop. The consumer is, in this case, powerless. Impotent.
And, when the implications of this set in, when people see just how far that can go, it becomes terrifying. In response, some lash out at it. Others defend it, saying these companies have the right to protect their ideas and business. But the fact remains that, in this case and many others, these companies can affect something a private citizen owns, in their own home, and said citizen is powerless to stop it.
So, in the end, the issue isn't that someone's XBone was bricked. The issue is that a binding legal contract should have input from both sides and should not be changeable without consent, at the point of change, from all parties involved. I may be wrong, but I thought that a contract entered into with bad faith - that is, with the intention of either not carrying through agreements or of taking undue advantage of another party physically, mentally, or financially - could not be enforced and could, in fact, be broken by the aggrieved party with no legal repercussions.

Law =/= Justice =/= Fairness. The (probably true) idea that this is legal doesn't mean we as consumers should shut up and put up.
Just like John Deere and GM claim you don't own your own car, a console maker messing around with your console because they didn't like what you were doing with it runs contrary to consumer rights.
And the only way for that to NOT happen is for the consumers to stand up and protest those anticonsumer policies.
Yes, yes. Their servers are theirs, one has to agree to terms of service to use them and all of that.
But the steel and silicon one keeps at home or takes out for a stroll are the consumer's property. Messing with the way those work because someone got angry at the consumer only serves to show these companies feel entitled to the consumer's money without regard to their rights.

Wanna stop the hypetrain? Destroy the railroad.
STOP PREORDERING EVERY SHIT YOU SEE!

If one thing I learned is I saw how gamers are actually stupid. The triple A industry is aware of how our minds work. Ubisoft milks AC series because they KNOW people will keep on buying it. They don't give a fuck to innovate too much because they know gamers buy it anyways. COD has no reason to innovate because people will buy the shit out of it anyway. They will preorder like crazy.
We shouldn't even blame the triple A industry or the devs. They are just doing their simple tricks and that is using stupid people who can't wait and do research before they click the goddamn preorder button.

"Omg this game's graphics so fucking amazing! PREORDERING!" - One year earlier before the game is even released.
Game comes out, graphics are shit. "Omg wtf Ubisoft how deer you? I preordered this!" Oh really? Well why don't you wait for reviews. You sir, feed the hypetrain, you feed the milked games that come out every year which are boring and repetitive as hell. You give Ubisoft, Activision, EA and any other triple A dev to milk every game they have and so they release same repetitive shit we get. Simply because we give them money for it.

2 years ago when Witcher 3 was announced, I was hyped as hell. I was until now few days ago till game's release. But I never preordered the game.
1.) I trust CDPR. My favorite devs of all times probably because of their marketing practices, free DLCs, no special preorder bullshit so they don't lure people to preorder the game. They themselves tell people not to buy Witcher 3 until reviews are out and so on. Despite knowing that, I still didn't preorder.
2.) Witcher is my favorite RPG series but I didn't preorder it.
3.) The price is reasonable, I even had a discount but still didn't preorder it.
    Why you ask?
Because even though I fully trust CDPR, a voice in the back of my head was saying, "They might screw up."
They didn't make any special editions like, "Preorder our game now and get an extra sword!" Nope, it's just preorder it for the sake of preordering. Exactly what it should be. They didn't force or lure anyone to do it.

After hearing about graphical downgrades I got afraid that the gameplay might be shit too, maybe they hyped us. Game got released, I got it as gift in the end tho and I didn't get dissapointed...
    1.) Stable launch
    2.) Stable game
    3.) Perfect perfomance
    4.) Same gameplay as promised
    5.) 16 free DLCs

So I didn't preorder the game anyways despite having good feeling about so in the end, I was never let down. I was just pleasently surprised at how good the game is. I LOVE it! But now tho, since I didn't buy the game I really wanna support CDPR so I will probably preorder the Expansion pack which adds extra 10-16h of gameplay. Why? Because the game is awesome, I'm enjoying it like no game in years. I know how good the game is, I know that CDPR didn't overhype anything about the game and I know the expansion packs will be good. So yeah, I will preorder those because now I know how safe it is. But I refused to preorder the game BEFORE it came out.
This is my risk and my choice to preorder that expansion pack because I fully trust the CDPR and the original game is awesome.

That's how you stop the hype train. Don't preorder and wait for the game's release. If you fall for those stupid tricks, "Preorder now and get a weapon!" Well it's your choice and it's your fault you will hate the game later if it sucks. It's your fault we get milked crap every year. You and other thousands of gamers like you, who preorder without doing research and fall for fake cinematic hype trailers IS the reason we get what we get today and until you change, we will get nothing.

Stop preordering > companies stop earning money before games are released so they stop making up bullshit > that leads them to pressure and they know they have to show off the REAL game in order to lure people so they have to TRY at least to make a good game > we get better games > bingo

That's the whole best part of preordering for companies. They can make a fake trailer, people get hyped and preorder a year before real gameplay is even shown. Does the developer give a fuck? No, your money is already in their pocket.
  23. Puntosmx liked a post in a topic by GLXLynx in It is time we derail the Hype Train, PERMANENTLY!
Well I disagree here. Lemme explain:
    Short version:

They screw up one time, you don't preorder the next one.

    Long:
If the devs keep make good or at least decent games, they'll gain the trust of the consumer. Now they do a failure and you just purchased the game, sure you'll be pissed of because they broke your trust but the next time you won't preorder anything from them. Simple.

However, if they keep doing good games or at least decent ones, why not preorder them? Why not reward them for their GOOD work?

They become arrogant? Bring them back to the ground! Be fricking critical, be reasonably selfish. It is really that simple, all you need s patience. Been happy with every game that I purchase ever since.

And with reasonably selfish I mean:
Don't listen to anyone without thinking about it at least a night.
  24. Mr_E_Meatshield liked a post in a topic by Puntosmx in Microsoft can brick your Xbox One if they want to
Blocking the XBL accounts is understandable. Suing the guys for violating the NDA is understandable.
Blocking the system so that it can't be played, period? The freaking console and the freaking games were purchased by them! Microsoft already got the money! That's intruding into the property of their consumers.
"Being a good citizen" and having it "not happen to me" is no excuse to approve of such an abusive system based on the "it only targets the bad people" premise.
Over here, we have a saying: "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Don't just close your eyes and think evil's gone.
