Hello, I am Commander Seph and the new Unoffical Games Commander. I am responsible for assisting games that have the potential to be official games. We are moving away from our current poll system used to select official games and on to a new system. All new potential official games will be classified as unofficial first unless approved by council. This will allow for us to assess the game's leaders and if it has enough of a following. Listed below are the details for the different classifications of games within our community.

    Official Games

Below are a few perks of being an official game.

Full access to "The Hype Machine" (Information about "The Hype Machine" located at the bottom)
Dedicated Teamspeak channel in official games section with sub channels
Dedicated sub forum area with addtional sub forums as needed
Dedicated server if game supports servers and the need is present (admin on server if they have the knowledge)
Assigned a point of contact to assist you with event announcements and advise to help you succeed
Leader will receive a forum award to show that they lead a game
Leader will be allowed officers and sergeants based on their need in game
Official game leader expectations are as follows

Active leadership and community in game
    Run events regularly
Report to a point of contact on activity within a game and on events held
Administer server if they have the know how
Requirements in order to become official (Must meet at least 2 out of 5)

    Guild/Clan System
Community meta-game addtitions (Such as tournaments)
    Joe/Streamer/High Command support
Server support that benefits the AJSA
    Community Popularity

    Unofficial Games

Below are the perks of being an unofficial game.

Sub channel in teamspeak located under unofficial games
Use of "The Hype Machine" but must be approved by Commander or above.
Possible sub-forum (Official games that are sunset or Popular unofficial games)
Use of the Unofficial Games Commander as a Point of Contact
Possible temporary server for large events if supported (Commander or higher will admin the temp server)
What kind of games are unofficial games?

Games that we intend to support but are still in Alpha/Beta testing
    Contenders to become official games
Games that have fallen out of favor and are no longer official games (They do have the ability to come back in to official status though)

Have an established and vetted leader canidate
    Active population of regular members
    Run events regularly

    Community Games

There is another type of classification that I would like to note. We will be adding a new section within teamspeak for games that do not fall in to the above categories but are still played regularly by our members. They will receive a channel under a new category: Community Games so that members can meet up and play together.

    Unsupported Games

All other games will be labeled as unsupported games. They will not have any of the perks listed above.

    "The Hype Machine"

Below is brief overview of something we like to call "The Hype Machine" which will help you raise awareness of your game and it's events. Official games get to utilize all options available. Unofficial games only get limited and sometimes temporary access to some of the details listed.

Advertising post on in the Dev/Publisher Forum of your game
Events posted in dedicated sub forum
    AJSA Calendar entry
Semi permanent TS channel for event advertisement
    Front page article
    Steam group calendar entry
Chat advertise events during AJS streams on twitch
Twitter annoncements of events (auto announces calendar entries)
Council to stream special events (uncommon but possible if the event is interesting enough)
Mention in the Monthly Community Update Video (very special event and well planned)

Figured I would drop by the AJSA to see how you guys are doing. Just noticed that there is not much activity here in the MMO section so I figured I would ask a simple question. What MMO are you playing right now if any? Just curious if anyone found any hidden gems out there or is everyone just revisiting older MMOs like myself. I was playing BDO up until just recently and now I am back to playing wildstar for the raids.
  3. Mladenius Maximus liked a post in a topic by Seph in BDO Guild status update
I am probably not the only one curious but how active is the current BDO guild? What buffs has the guild unlocked? Is there any schedule for scroll runs/field bosses/etc? Does the guild participate in node wars?
I am currently in an active guild that does all of these things and if the AJSA is active enough or has the people to move up then I will be willing to join and help out if you will have me.
  4. DoctorEvil liked a post in a topic by Seph in Ark Survival Evolved
With the tek tier dropping really soon, I decided to get back in to playing Ark but had a hard time finding a server that I liked so I got my own. I figured I would let anyone from the community join me if you so wish. The server is set to PvE to help alleviate any drama that comes with tribes fighting each other but I did add the bush people mod. This puts NPCs in the game that build their own bases and raid yours. So if anyone is interested in joining in the fun, feel free to let me know. I currently have a 40 slot server which should be plenty but I can and will expand if needed. I also plan to run a cluster server in the near future, so people can jump between the different maps and keep all their stuff.

Are you getting any error messages? That sounds a lot like the graphic issues I had with a and card a while back as side from happening at specific times.
The artifacts and screen going black are most likely video card/video driver related. Now if it is happening at a specific time every day, I would check to see what you are doing that may be different at that time of day. There may be something running and eating up all your resources.
If you do end up getting an error message or worse, a blue screen, a quick Google search will usually net you a forum where someone has had the same issue and someone else has already gave a resolution.

First off for you guys that do not know. Community games are games that people play in our community but may not run regular events or even have a guild/clan in the game for it. They are just games that people in our community play together on a regular basis.

We have a space on teamspeak for games like this and if you would like to see a game that you play added to this list then all you have to do is ask. We will provide you with a channel for you and your friends to use and it will stay there until you stop using it. If that does happen and you wish to start using that channel again, just ask and we will add it right back.

So feel free to ask here, send us a message on the forums, or even hit me up while we are on teamspeak and we will hook you up. Both Eiousx and I are very approachable. We don't bite, I promise. Well at least I don't.

I know you will probably not read this based on your previous post but I am inclined to state it anyways, not so much for you but for anyone else who is reading this. Seeing as it is my name being dragged through the mud at this time, I am inclined to defend my namesake.

You are very much correct that I should have given you at least a warning by now for making slanderous posts about another member of this community. But, it could have been twisted that I was oppressing you or some other nonsense. I felt that explaining things would have been a better route and I wanted to at least give you the benefit of the doubt that you were simply uninformed. I will gladly talk to you in teamspeak or in a private message on these forums if you would like to know about anything. I will not allow you to continue to make wild accusations based on posts that you have over exaggerated though.

This is going to be my last post on this matter asking you to do 1 of 2 things.
You can either provide proof to your accusations and therefore prove me wrong. You are welcome to your opinion but unless you can provide something other than your opinion of me, then I ask that you cease your attempt to smear my name and derail my topic. Get back on topic or post nothing. I will then take it as you have accepted that you were wrong or misinformed.
If you make another post attempting to smear my name without providing any proof other than your opinion, I will not hesitate to come down on you hard. This is your only warning. Make your choice.

Going to have to echo what MadDemon64 said in regards to this as well. Also it's kinda pointless to even have such votes, unless you conduct it among a PvP dedicated community, which this isn't, it's a given the PvE vote would win. Although as your previous Wildstar vote showed, you, and whoever may be running this AJSA, guild as we all know that's what is bound to happen should one be made, could just ignore the community, and set up on the PvP server instead, decision made, no further discussion allowed, if you don't like it, don't join.

Except first off, as you even said, you can't even reasonably pick your preferred faction, since the game regulates who can join up with which faction so one side does not grossly outnumber the other. For a game like this, it'd be better to just have a generalized group that plays together, regardless of faction, with no defined clan in game, rather than to plan around a dedicated clan, with the main planning, and community aspect on this site. Could try setting up two clans, one for each, but may not be able to get that many people playing in the long run for those to be all that successful.

With that being the case, reasonably speaking, getting the AJSA playing together in B&S would just be about server selection, which again, based on current info, wouldn't be split between PvE, and PvP servers, so it'd just be to get everyone on the same one, rather than a matter of preference, but with no release date, and just closed betas which will surely be accompanied with wipes, now seems far too early to plan anything. It also means there's nothing to even vote on, I imagine there will be some interest, not sure if there'd be enough to justify a making it an AJSA official game though. If you want to make a vote, just asking people if they'd play makes more sense, although with no release date, it'd seem far too early for that too.

It just feels like this is done so the community starts thinking of you as the B&S leader early, as when there's so many unknowns, including the release date, and it's been shown that the will of the community can be outright ignored, and you were fine with that since it fit into your preference, I can't see any other reason for this poll than such a self serving one.

I know that there are a few people other than myself interested in blade and soul. I figured now would be a good time to start talking about which faction we should play as and which server type we should play on. I also wanted to start a discussion about the clan so we can hit the ground running when the game goes live. So lets start this off.

    Server Types
They mentioned that there will be PvE and PvP servers but there are no specifics as to what those server names are going to be. PvP servers would be something different from what is currently live on the other regions so it is quite possible that we wont have a choice of server types when the game goes live but I figured we could hash this one out just in case. Here is how I have come to understand the open world PvP in this game.
PvE Servers - Open world PvP would require that both parties that are participating to equip PvP costumes of opposing factions. This would in turn flag you for PvP until you remove the costume. Removing the costume requires you to not be in combat and takes 5 secs to remove it fully. You can also opt to res, if you died from an enemy player, with no costume equipped to prevent you from being spawn camped. PvP Server - I have not seen an example of this on the current live servers or on the technical alpha servers so I am only speculating. I would assume that parties of the main two opposing factions will always be flagged for PvP against one another. Another possible scenario is that anyone can kill each other at any time. If anyone has any information on this please speak up.
    Factions
There are several opposing factions in this game and you are able to get most if not all of their costumes and PvP against the opposing faction, and players wearing the opposing faction's costume, while wearing their costume. The two main ones are The Cerulean Order and The Crimson Legion. You will be given an option to choose one or the other fairly early on in the game. Clans in this game can only be comprised of members that are in the same faction. This will mean we need to coordinate the faction we decide to play. Blue is essentially Order and Red is Chaos. Everyone may see this as an obvious choice, RED DUH, but there are some things we need to consider. A faction can fill up on a server. This is to force people to roll the other faction to balance things out. You can reroll your faction for a fee, which resets all your stats with the faction and it can only be done if the one you are going to is not full. And guess what, red typically fills up first.... So as you would imagine, this would cause some problems for us. In the end though, it is only the costume that really changes.

    *Edit
Removed the server types option since all servers are pve servers to clear up any confusion.

If you are level 50 and interested in raiding. Please post your characters name, class, preferred spec and whether or not you are attuned. You are also welcome to include any other details you want. We will be doing some attunement/gearing sessions here soon. This will also help us know what we need for the raid team.

    Example:
    Seph
    DPS Stalker
    Attuned

I have completed the first raid several times and I can also tank but my DPS set is much better.

So if you have not noticed, I took some leave from my duties within the community to focus on my family and spend what little game time I had on actually gaming. And well, now I am back and I have a new partner to help me out. Eiousx has been picking up the slack that I left behind and will now be working with me when it comes to getting these game the support they need. You can approach either one of us if you need help with anything but I do ask that if you send messages, try to include the other one in the message as well. It makes it easier for the other person to continue helping if we need to tag team the issues for what ever reason.

So in short, I took a break, now I am back. I have help now, his name is Eiousx. We will now plot to take over the world!

We will be holding a meeting this Saturday @ 12pm (noon) CDT. The plan is to brainstorm about the events we will be holding throughout the month, get the ball rolling for those events, assign roles to potential officers and sgts, plan out rewards for the events, and go over any questions that may arise.

So please drop by if you are interested in helping out with the planning.
