Dane2hip48 liked a post in a topic by Seph in What's better in horror games? First or Third person?
So first person is bad because "you rely on making your environments dark to blind the player's constant running around swinging the camera left and right" and third person is good because " there is still silence is the scariest thing because you just dont know if something will happen or not". I fail to see how that is much different. You also said the same thing with the checkpoints, and labeled it as a bad in first person but good in third person.
A good suvival horror game is one that messes with your mind. One that not only gives you a reason to fear something but also the fact that you have to face it to move on. The only real example I can give recently was the silent hill playable trailer. THAT ladies and gents, is survival horror. If they can make the whole game like that... I will be extremely excited but also very terrified to play it.

Do you do any events that aren't competitive other than training sessions? Are training sessions mandatory? Can I participate in competitive events without the training? How do I rank up in the regiment? Who do I talk to to get an invite to the regiment? Who is in charge of what? Are their any open positions available in the higher ranks? If so, how do I apply? How does the in game rank structure differ from the one on the forums? I am a veteran on the forums, why am I just a pvt in the game? Can I play on the server during non event times? If so, how? What voice chat do you guys use? How can I join you? There are a few questions people may ask.

not depressing at all. it's very simple... don't play those games. play games that don't have those kind of things in them. and no, don't say "there aren't any of those kind of games anymore". yes there are. look, research.
Seph liked a post in a topic by fridgeracer in I missed unlocking anything in the game...
quite true. but people also have a choice. i personally dont see the point complaining about games like this when all you simply need to do is not play them. there's plenty of other games to fit the OPs tastes - just ignore the bad ones and move on. complaining resolves nothing.

I heard of these things called Jobs. They typically hook you up with some sending money. I also heard that almost everyone place has them but you have to try and get one to have one. You also have more luck if you attempt to get one from places that you might not want to work at. Also follow up after submitting an application. Most places get a ton of applications and you have to make yours stand out, calling them to follow up will more times than not at least get you an interview.

Hello, if you have any questions of any kind they are to be posted here and we will respond to them as soon as we see them.
The questions can consist of anything related to Mount and Blade: Warband.
Q: When are events?
A: Sunday is Training at 8:00 Est.
Saturday is our Main Event day at 5 Est.
We will also conduct events throughout the week normally at 8:00 Est. and when we do, we will
post events in the steam group to provide further information about the event.
Q: What if I don't want to participate in competitive events?
A: Where we would push you to try them, we do not enforce attendance to competitive events.
We would remind you however that this is the best way to improve on your skills and can
open up a whole new game.
Q: What if I'm not that great at the game?
A: We don't require you to be good at the game at all
We offer our training event to help new people in the regiment and all of our sergeants and up
are more than willing to do 1 on 1 training to help you improve.
Q: Do you do any events that aren't competitive other than training sessions?
A: Yes! We are currently looking for different mods that are a bit more silly and fun to set up for
our Saturday events.
Q: Are training sessions mandatory? Can I participate in competitive events without the training?
A: Yes and no, You are not required to attend the training, but you are expected to know all the
formations and be capable of executing them with precision. So if you can not make the training
seek out an officer or sergeant for some help and we will gladly help you.
Q: How do I rank up in the regiment?
A: Discipline and maturity are what we are looking for the most. If you listen to orders and are
respectful in events, we will notice you. If you excel beyond that we then might test your
Q: Who do I talk to to get an invite to the regiment?
A: Any of our Sergeants can invite you into the steam group that we use to help organize our events,
other than that anyone can recruit, and we will allow any AJSA members to join. If you wish to join now,
you can find a seperate forum post that illustrates the steps to take to join.
Q: Who is in charge of what? Are there any open positions available in the higher ranks? If so,
how do I apply?
A: The rank structure we have shows who is in charge, I will be making a post soon about how our
rank structure works and the jobs of the ranks.
Q: How does the game rank structure differ from the one on the forums? I am a veteran on the forums,
why am I just a Cadet in the game?
A: Your NW rank has nothing to do with your community rank. Your rank in NW shows how well disciplined
and mature you are within the events and regiment. Higher ranks show your contribution to the
regiment and leadership capabilities.
Q: Can I play on the server during non event times? If so how?
A: Yes! You can find our server in Napoleonic Wars by searching by name and finding AJSA in the serverlist.
Q: What voice chat do you guys use? How can I join you?
A: We use the official AJSA teamspeak: ts3server://ts3.ajsagaming.com

Either a champion that is actually two champions that you control simultaneously such as ice climbers in smash bros or 2-3 champions that you micromanage like in an RTS, heroes of the storm has already done this.
Ice Climber Gameplay - Smash Bros (not a moba but you can kinda get the idea)
Lost Viking Gameplay - Heroes of the Storm

Since no one else seemed to be stepping up to the plate I pulled rank and decided to announce that that on Saturday Night, February 28th, at 8 pm Central Time I am going to be hosting a room on Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U. It will be a 150 cc match with the DLC tracks (seriously if you don't have them yet, why not?) I am hoping we get enough people in this room where we don't need any of the cheap bots.
So to recap:
150 CC Races of Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) on Saturday Feb 28th at 8p Central Time
Nintendo ID: Quinnsdaddy11 (post yours too)
Helpful handful of time conversions:
8 pm Central Time:
9 pm Eastern Time
7 pm Mountain Time
6 pm Pacific Time
5 pm Alaskan Time
4 pm Hawaiian Time
2 am 02/29 for our British Friends
Thanks again and let's us get the Nintendo side of the Army as strong as the other guys!
fridgeracer liked a post in a topic by Seph in i dont understand Bayonetta
I am glad you stuck it out. This is one of my favorite games in the genre and it would've been a shame if you gave up on it before finally seeing this gem for what it really is. If you read any of my other posts about consoles you would know that I do not own any current gen consoles but the wii U is the only one I would consider buying so I havn't had the chance to try out the new one. If I do buy a wii U, it will be the first thing I buy, along with smash bros of course

Why does a game developer have to come up with a story for a multiplayer only game? Does making a multiplayer only game require no actual thinking to develop? This is not a single player rpg or fps with some grand campaign to go through. I don't understand how people just do not get this. My only complaint with this game is the fact that it wants to charge $60 for it. In my opinion, it is not worth that price.
People are way too critical nowadays. Take a game for what it is, if you do not think it is worth the money, then don't buy it. No one complains when a moba comes out without a single player campaign and some even ignore the down right terrible attempt to copy cod in battlefield's campaign mode on some of it's recent titles. If a game is meant to be played as a multiplayer game only, I would rather they just do that than waste time making up some shitty story and calling it the campaign. The worst part is that this company has been completely honest with what it was trying to be and people still buy it and then attack it for not living up to some hype they made up in their minds.

Being the guild leader of an end game raiding guild in WotLK and placing 7th in clearing all Icecrown Citadel Hardmode boss kills and placing as high as 1st on some achievementsas within ICC as guild on my server.
Also bring a commander within this community is really awesome too. I never thought I would be where I am now within this community when I first joined.

I honestly feel that I can play all the champions to some competency. Some more than others of course. If you want to learn yasuo, I might be able to help you. I first need to see how you are building and playing him first though.
