    Blasphemy!
Everyone knows the Great Sequel in the Sky is reserved only for those who have devoted their lives to the glorious PC master race.

    Take a guess

Yes, a lot of people are still playing it. The game is going well, I still find it enjoyable. There's no DLC yet, though there is a free patch coming soon that includes a lot of new end game content called Craglorn. Bug fixes are rolling out all the time as is bot control. If you want to find out the latest I suggest going to http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline.

Not true. I'm Veteran Rank 5 right now, just finishing up the Rift and I'm still enjoying it all.

Projekt-Red is the most friendly toward PC gamers.

So I got my first Elder Scroll (Ni-Mohk) cap tonight (see pics ). But we nearly lost it entirely because of another guy who grabbed it first. I was part of the raid that secured the temple, he was not and just managed to get it first. Then it quickly became clear he had no idea what to do with it, for one he wasn't even sprinting to get away from the DC chasing us, he actually attacked them. When the raid was pretty much screaming at him, he threw a huffy and seemed determined to make us lose it by RUNNING INTO THE ENEMY!Then I'm not sure if he dropped it or died but another guy (still not in the raid) took it, but quickly dropped it when we asked him too (he tried to capture it in Fort Warden). Then I finally got my hands on it.

Damn my heart has not pounded so fast. I also have a renewed appreciation for the "Path of Darkness" Nightblade ability. I took some pictures on the way back when we were safe enough:

Most of the people you see were talking on Team-Speak too. But regardless I feel very upset about it. Why did that first guy to pick it up become such an idiot and try to spurn us? I stayed on him the entire time, twice he stopped to gather a plant and mine! But I suppose that's the mind of a troll for you.

Been to many different dungeons since last patch not 1 bot. About bugs, its an MMO they are commonplace and get fixed fast in ESO, so I'm good  there. Mods create a 'Complaints' Sub Forum already as I am sure us that enjoy playing ESO with AJSA are tired of seeing rants on why eso sucks everytime we visit the forum.

Is that on the dominion side? I think I know which fight you're talking about with the dark mane, but if I remember right there was only him and some tiger things that he spawns. It was hard yeah, but I got through it solo. As for the second one I cannot remember at all (I have a terrible memory).

Aside from my random-ass work schedule interfering with enjoying the game at my own leisure, I am indeed still playing, and have dropped 6 months onto the game.  Everyone has their own quirks, as for me, I'm loving the hell out of it.  People tend to forget that -all- mmo's have a rocky start.  6 months tends to be the turning point as they iron out some of the more frequent bugs.
  10. dgwoods liked a post in a topic by Eleglas in I really did not expect this to happen (console version delayed)
I never understand why people say that, I have no idea what they mean; I've always felt more of the Elder Scrolls in ESO than in Oblivion or Skyrim. The fact that it sticks to and creates new lore is brilliant, characters feel like people and their respective races. Little things like a Dunmer calling someone a S'wit, or Khajiit talking in the 3rd person. The Tribunal is another gem, anyone who played Morrowind knows what happens to them, but it's great to see what the Dunmer people think of them at the height of their power. Or how about the pure racism of many Altmer, and how Queen Ayren must overcome that (with great difficulty). There are lots of things that make me feel like this really is the Elder Scrolls world, just set a long time before any other game, and I find that refreshing.

Speak for yourself. I can guarantee that the console versions will be bugged, do you know why? Because an MMO (even a different version of the same MMO) has never, and will likely continue to never, be released bug free. This goes for games in general too, they never release bug free.

As it stands, it's playable, it's enjoyable, and the lore continues to be fascinating. A few bugs barely take away from the experience in my opinion.

Well the best advice I can say is the same advice I give for Dark Souls players: Prepare to die, and keep rolling.
Also, stay the hell away from any Veteran rank 10s you see (or follow them if on your team) because they will wipe you out in seconds. Also try your own thing, everyone complains about the zerging in pvp but no one tries to do anything else.

EDIT: Also get yourself a siege weapon, ballista, catapult, treb I don't care just something to help out.
  16. Silverfox liked a post in a topic by Eleglas in does anyone disagree with AJ's ESO review?
Yes, wholeheartedly. While I respect Joe immensely I feel he judged the game far too hard, especially for an MMO. Most of his problems with it were bugs which are already getting sorted out, and some are now gone. If you judged every Elder Scrolls game by the amount of bugs in it, then they'd all have 5/10 scores, but we know they are so much better than that.

I find vanilla ESO more immersive than vanilla Skyrim, or Oblivion. I'm pretty sure there's some unwritten rule that says it's best to review a new MMO 1 or 2 months after launch.

By that logic every game ever is broken. Every game has it's exploits, ones in MMOs are just more prevalent.
  22. Jackschmit liked a post in a topic by Eleglas in Should The Elder Scrolls Online be Free to Play? Why or Why not?
Maybe I'm just an elitist but the game is already crowded enough. I've never gone into a public dungeon without at least 1 other person there killing everything, which ruins my immersion. And if it does go F2P the masses will decend from on high.

Is it a scrawny high elf in a red top? If yes then it's normal, it's part of a quest that Raz gives you. If you leave the city you'll turn back to normal.

  25. Variloh liked a post in a topic by Eleglas in What does it mean to be a "real" gamer?
CAUTION: Includes some basic psychological observations.

Many would have you believe that to be a "real" gamer you must have no social life outside of gaming, but this isn't true. I would call anyone who is socially and economically stable enough but still wants to spend their off-time playing games for the most part a "real" gamer. Those who spend all their time locked into a virtual world and therefore foregoing all social and economical responsibilities I would call an "addict". This isn't a single case though, every form of entertainment has it's addicts, hell you can even get those addicted to doing the most mundane office work.

Myself, I'm between the two. I'm not an addict, but nor am I the most socially stable person. More often than not I spend my nights in a game, however I recognise that this isn't the ideal situation and am constantly trying to break out of that habit. It just so happens I'm unemployed and regardless of my constant job hunting I cannot land a permanent job that works around my college time table; living in the countryside doesn't help either. What keeps me from becoming an addict however is my ability to remove myself from a game. I've known people who once they start playing they won't stop all day and barely sleep.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with thoroughly enjoying a game (hell I can't wait to get back on ESO after a week in Italy). But games are much more immersive than other forms of entertainment and I feel a certain psychological state of mind is really required to keep yourself from becoming an addict. Phlegmatists I feel would be the best personality type to be called a "real" gamer without so much threat of becoming addicted.
