Link to update on ESO on consoles.

ESO on console is delay for 6 months

But some good came out of this,  They are allowing players to transfer account (characters) from PC/Mac to console, if you purchase or is playing ESO by the end of June on PC/Mac.

    New Content/Features
Patch cadence is going to be update every 4-6 weeks with weekly patches currently to fix issues and get the service stable. They all won’t be as big as the Craglorn one (with a complete zone and tons of other stuff), but they’ll all have a mix of new content and fixes/balance tweaks. Achievements will unlock new dyes when dye system goes live Chat bubbles will be introduced soon Guild Store search function can cause issues but have plans to make it easier to find stuff Guild Kiosk will be available at major cities with a seller vendor NPC. Guilds will be able to bid on each kiosk and the highest bid will have their guild store accessible to everyone who interacts with the NPC. Guild Kiosk lasts for 1 week. More guild ranks and customizations coming this year Justice system will involve players stealing/killing NPCs and incurring a bounty if they are caught. Guards will give you a chance to pay the bounty or kill you on sight if your bounty is too high. Players could also become guards Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood will have their own skill lines No underwater content anytime soon Spellcrafting – you can rediscover traditional Elder Scrolls school of magic – alteration, destruction etc Guar mounts coming soon but no timeline Console information in the future Planning to do housing but want to do it right, no time frame yet No specific timeline for the guild tabards crests, but they are in the "sooner" end of the list. Questing/Endgame
Quest achievement bugs will be fixed when Craglorn goes live (and given retroactively to players) Plans to add new quests to existing zones Having all the zones scaled to VR10 when you reach VR10 is an interesting idea we are looking at right now. For the Veteran Content, we thought it was much better to allow players to experience all content with oen character than force them to roll alts. You can go to Craglorn at VR1 but it will be hard since it is VR11 and VR12 monsters Our plan for updates is that it will be varied in what sorts of gameplay is offered We have talked about different rulesets for campaigns as well as having a dungeon experience which has PvP enabled. With the raise of VR cap from 10 to 12, there will be new gear to craft but currently they do not require additional skill points. Misc
There are some changes to heavy armor coming that will make you generate ultimate more quickly when playing defensively. Yes, we believe werewolf is under-performing right now. Expect a few buffs to help offset this. In the short run, we’re reducing the ultimate cost of the transformation itself No plans to increase the time between vampire stages at this time Batswarm for Vampires will be fixed in a near future patch Looking into adjustment (nerf) Standard of Might for DKs. No timeframe yet. For patch 1.2, we are looking especially at helping to add flexibility to builds with some buffs to the lesser used abilities. For the nightblade, this includes abilities such as Master Assassin, Path of Darkness, Incapacitate, and more. Adding racial type to the item popup window – yes we definitely agree with this. Group phasing fixes is one of our high priorities right now New content will be much easier to play together as a group Roleplay phase we considered previously is too detrimental to server performance but we are looking at ways to accomplish the same goal. Durability damage is a bit higher than we would like it to be in group situations like dungeons, the upcoming craglorn zone, and Trial content. In Patch 1.1, you’ll take significantly less damage in group situations (whether or not you have officially formed a party) Mentoring system is something we are working on as part of "let players find each other more easily" initiative. Different teams handling new content and bug fixes SLI support should be available with Craglorn update Full screen option is coming with Craglorn As soon as we can move on from fighting service attacks from gold farmers and fixing stability and server load issues, we’ll move the EU megaserver over to its European hosting center. There’s no exact timeline for this at the moment, but it will happen when things settle down. We aren’t changing the XP gains in PvE any time soon, but we are looking at PvP XP gains. There is a possibility of adding a general discussion category on the forums, and it’s something we’re discussing internally to implement in the future An ignore feature on the forums is also something we’re looking into, and hope to have that available for everyone pretty soon. PVP
Better Leader Chevrons to direct players in PvP coming with patch 1.2 Vampire issues in Cyrodiil is something we are aware and some changes are coming next week Fixed the bug where multiple Bat Swarms can be stacked on the same Vampire. Reduced the movement speed bonus durring mist form to 30% (which makes it equivalent to the "Boundless storm" morph of Lightning form) Reduced the Vampire ability cost reduction to 7% per stage Pacing of the war has been as expected in some campaigns and not in others. We’re aware of the issues of population and scoring imbalances and working on adjustments in future patches. All that being said, the keeps are getting a bump in difficulty in the first patch which may slow down the rate of their individual capture times. In the US, a lot of players are using the guest pass to join any fight they can find in the higher population campaigns. In the EU server however, players are continually sticking with their home campaigns. The guest pass timers and cost for switching campaigns is on our radar and we’re monitoring it daily to make sure we don’t negatively impact how players are playing. For the first patch we’re doubling the amount of XP that players are worth. We will be watching this data closely to see if another increase is necessary. We are also looking at adding more Kill quests for encouraging PVP hunting of enemy players. Looking into increase VP rewards from Cyrodiil PvE quests. We are adding a population underdog bonus in the first patch that will give the lesser populated alliances in a campaign triple the points for owning objectives in Cyrodiil as well as 10% more Alliance points. We’re also investigating additional campaign durations and rules that may limit campaign access based on levels. Dark talons is currently bugged and can hit more targets than intended. We are also setting up the Elder Scroll so that Bolt Escape cannot be used by its carrier. For now there are no plans for new siege weapons or ammo types. No plans for small scale pvp, dueling, battlegrounds at this time. Our efforts are focused on Cyrodiil. Looking into infinite loading screens and large group freezing/glitching Enjoy!

Funny how different opinions can be an same game. Its propably based on how high you have some priorities.

Yes. ESO is overpriced. Yes Imperial edidion should be  basic game for all. Not more expensive one. Yes Horses are realy,
realy expensive in comparison to usual loot. BUT even motifs in game is expensive and its defined by to demand (Primal,
Ancient elf about 25k Daedra about 40k). An that is just a craft style. Horse you will use forever.

What is not point out by Joe a for me its much more alarming is Repair cost. When I am fighting long enough you may be
asked to pay repair cost about 1000g on level 20+- for WHITE or green gear. So in the end I am crafting white gear for me
and when its broken or damaged to much I simply make new one. Its Waaay more cheaper than spending absurd amount of money
    on repair.

But when I move aside money issues. There is gameplay. To be honest I am playing PvE exclusively solo with high volume
sounds and TS off. So the immersion of my experience is much different from Joes. Also I have certain expectations from
MMOs and so I do not expect SP game atmosfere or grafic. So in the end I am realy happy with ESO. I like qquests, dialogs.
Fully voiced game is must for me when I get used to it while playing my hundereds of hours in mass effect and SWTOR. I love
the way how the game is set. Because of hidden quests, craft materials and so I do not see the world as empty. I love it to
be honest. There is allways to do something. And when I have feeling that I have company of other people I join Morwenna in
    Cyrodiil and having great time.

So ESO is game just for me. There is few minor things but for me its more like 8/10
  8. BobbyLOD liked a post in a topic by Revenile in My Personal Impressions So Far
(I decided to write this up while bored in class, it's basically just me rambling about my feelings on the game so far.)

“You have joined the Hollow Moon, now go acquire some exotic goods from the local merchants, and give the goods to the needy folks around here.”  This was the start of a quest that would give me the feels in one of the segments during one of my sessions in “The Elder Scrolls Online” by Zenimax Online and published by Bethesda.  My character, a Khajiit Dragon Knight named Reina, who uses a destruction staff for her secondary weapon set, had arrived in this little place in the Grahtwood zone (this is, including the starter area of Khenarthi’s Roost, the third zone for the Aldmeri Dominion) and came across a group of Robin Hood style thieves by the name of the Hollow Moon.  Taking up the quest, I got the exotic goods and then went around to find those who needed the goods.

I gave a set to a guy in line who was obviously mentally not there, unlike the other two in that line, he legitimately looked and sounded like he needed the stuff.  The other two were not there due to need, one lied about being married and having a kid and the other… well I’ll just use her words “I’m here because this is where they hand out the free stuff and I want my share.”  So yeah, I didn’t give any to these two.  I gave 3 more of the five sets away, but the one that got me was the very first set I gave away.  It got me engaged in the quest, and earned my respect for a well written piece.

I walked up to a make-shift shelter kind of off to the side of the settlement, and on a mat was a Khajiit laying on it, he didn’t look to good.  His wife tells me that he had been a Skooma addict for three years, but had recently quit.  Now before I continue, I should mention what Skooma is for those reading this who don’t know what it is.  Skooma is a drug in the world of the Elder Scrolls that can cause some serious issues.  Anyway, this Khajiit was suffering from a severe case of the “Skooma Shakes,” which is one of the more problematic side effects of the drug.  The wife told me that he probably wouldn’t make it through the night, and so I gave her some of the exotic goods.  She thanked me and mentioned that she should be able to trade them to the local alchemist for a potion that will help him survive.  I felt like a good person for the first time in an MMO because I got absorbed into the quest.  Here’s the real kicker about this though.  My entire interaction with the Khajiit wife had a bug where none of the voice acting played.  I read the text the entire time, and it was still enough to make me feel proud of the actions my character had just taken.

If it isn’t obvious by now, I am really enjoying The Elder Scrolls Online.  It isn’t a perfect experience, the launch has been pretty rough, there have been many bugs (luckily I haven’t run into that many of them), and bots are currently a problem, even so the lore, the combat, and the game’s world are enough to keep me entertained, something “World of Star Wars: The Old Republic” couldn’t do.  Unlike that game, I have yet, in my nearly 3 weeks and 5 days of game time, to feel like I’m obligated to log in and play, despite the monthly sub.  This was a feeling I got early on with TOR, and it drove me away from the game even bore my 3 months of subscription was up.  It felt too similar to the many, many other MMORPGs I had tried out.  ESO does some things differently, and the land of Tamriel added to that is what keeps me going in that game and having fun (well that and being a member of a fantastic guild, the AJSA).

In my currently 22 levels worth of gameplay, I have travelled across three zones, not including the few times I’ve been to Coldharbour, the realm of Oblivion dedicated to the Daedric Prince of trickery, domination, and slavery, Molag Bal.  Each zone, from the bright, slightly eastern theme of Khenarthi’s Roost, to the more colorful and majestic Summer Set Isle known as Auridon, and more recently, the swamplands of Grahtwood, I have been in public dungeons, taken part in the closing of many Dolmens (the dark anchors Molag Bal is using in attempt to fuse Tamriel/Mundus to Coldharbour, thanks to the work of the future Worm King, the necromancer Mannimarco… I love the lore in the Elder Scrolls), read many books that enrich the lore and faced off against many kinds of creatures, and nothing felt boring or forced.  I’ve enjoyed every second of it, aside from the rare occasions I’ve hit bugged quests that held me back for a bit, but I’ve only run into 3 I know for sure of.

This game has done something no other MMORPG has ever been able to do for me.  This game has made the PVP content enjoyable for me.  I’m not that great at most Player-Vs-Player content in many games, so when I hopped into PVP on ESO, I expected to do it once, and not really touch it again.  How wrong I was.  The last two Saturdays, and the one coming up as I write this, my guild has been doing PVP events where many guild members meet up and do what we can to sway the map in our favor.  Every time I’ve been in PVP it’s been a blast, with the siege weapons, the mass of people, the fear of the enemy Emperor, it’s an awesome component of the game, and I can see coming back for it when I’m out of PVE content to do.

The soundtrack is fantastic, as all games bearing the Elder Scrolls name are, with the title theme having been composed by the legendary Jeremy Soule, while the rest was done by other people, as well as a vocal piece done by the wonderful Malukah.  Sound effects are good, animations are, as odd as it is to say it, some of the better done animations seen in an ES game.  The beast races (Argonian, Khajiit) have obviously seen more love than the single player games, with tails that animate differently on each, and move more believable, and in the case of the Khajiit, eyes that just glow when the light hits them right.  The graphics (in my opinion) are very nice, sun shafts, decent amount of detail, gorgeous specular mapping, it all adds up to an attractive package to me.

If I had to give the game a numerical score (which I’m not, not officially anyway) I’d give it an 8.  While I can understand the dislike, disappointment, and the lower scores for people who have encountered a lot of bugs, in my experience I’ve had a fairly smooth running game that gives me what I was expecting out of it, an MMORPG with the Elder Scrolls setting, and aside from the bug fixes, player homes and more content to keep me a subscriber, I can’t really ask for more than I have.  (It also helps that I got the Physical Imperial Edition, not for the digital extras, hell I haven’t used my Pledge of Mara yet… But for the FANTASTIC art/lore book that came with it.  Oh and I guess the statue of Molag Bal is nice too.)

ESO is a hard game to just recommend, it must be approached with the correct mindset.  If you don’t like MMOs, or for some reason are turned off by subscription prices to a game that costs full price (like WoW, SW:TOR and others when they first came out), hate the Elder Scrolls series, or can’t stand bugs in a game at launch, then you won’t like this game.  If you like the Elder Scrolls, and MMORPGs, and go into the game expecting “Skyrim with more players” you WILL be disappointed and not like it.  It must be gone into with the mindset of “it is still an MMO first, and it takes place in Tamriel.”  Even then however, the game just might not be for you, nothing wrong with that.  I will say this though, it is NOT fact that the game sucks, that is a subjective view.  It may suck for you, but not for others, and as to you thinking if it is a waste of money or not, and you like to tell people that, I’d like to quote the words of Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Croshaw to end this little thing.

“I’d rather be stupid and having fun than be bored out of my genius mind.”

You really can’t base the game from BETA nor from Joe’s final review.  Seriously, I gave it thumbs down when played beta.  But I gave ESO a chance because of PVP (and Joe’s 2nd Beta review) and I am loving the game.   I’ve been a huge fan of ES since Daggerfall and they did a great job keeping the lore.  The immersion is amazing if you just explore and not worry about leveling up or finding the next quest.  I’m also a MMO nut, going back to Lineage 2.  I’ve played most MMOs since 2003.  ESO is better than GW2, Rift, or any other MMO out there right now.  The game has bugs, endless load screens, falling from the sky when you jump over a rock, losing 40 bank slots after creating a new toon, and a number of other annoying bugs.  Frustrating, but I am still playing the game, and the bugs are being fixed.
    PVP is a blast
Crafting is intuitive, addictive, and fun
Classes and skills allow you to play many combinations and roles.  A sorc tank in heavy is extremely enjoyable.
If you have the time and money, I highly recommend you try ESO.

Pretty much sums up how myself and possibly others ultimately feel:

  11. BobbyLOD liked a post in a topic by Silverfox in The Final Verdict....
Personally I enjoy the game very much, as far as I have played it. Granted I've looked past the inital costs and subscription fees to judge it on its own merit.

Respectfully I disagree with Angry Joe that I believe the game does have the spirit of a traditional Elder Scrolls game with the freedom of exploration and the freedom of character customization which are both rewarding and unique. That said the Elder Scrolls Online is a game that is more rewarding in terms of freedom and discovery than it is rewarding in terms of loot or money.

I do agree however that the PvP is the best feature of the game I have experienced so far. The open plains of Cyrodiil lend virtually any point on the map to be a battleground between warring factions. And even if you're a stray without a guild or Angry Army to back you up then you can still scout around the zone questing to help build your faction up or spy on enemy keeps and relay that information to your faction.

There is, however, that special something that is missing. That 'wow' or 'oh snap' factor. As amazing as PvP battles can be I believe the PvE content lacks that granduer or the capacity rather to capture that granduer on the same scale as those PvP sieges.

My personal final verdict? I give it an 8/10 for a solid Elder Scrolls experience and interesting combat but it loses points not for the subrcription fees since that will depend on post launch content but instead for lacking any trully memorable moments outside the ones you create for yourself.
  12. BobbyLOD liked a post in a topic by Jackschmit in The Final Verdict....
I agree with BobbyLOD about having no trouble when questing solo, as I don't have any Issues aside from gold spammers, BUT in a MMO one shouldn't be forced to play alone.

Having said that I personally really enjoy the game and don't care if it ain't Joe's cup of tea. We're not all going to enjoy the same games so stick with what you enjoy.

I'm just gonna copy-pasta my Youtube comment, because I found it unreasonably harsh. Just because Joe's experience was bad, doesn't mean your experience will be.
If you enjoy the game, keep playing it.

"Joe, I usually have to back you up; but in between your Twitch stream constantly harassing you in game, and the lack of actual progression you were able to take part in (neither of which I am meaning as an insult, in any way) I just feel you didn't give the game the proper time it should have.

You stated many things were wrong that, in game, weren't a concern.
Holding Zenimax accountable for a duplication glitch, saying they weren't trying to fix it; even though when they learned about it, the ability to do so was patched within 2 days.
You claim that the "global economy was ruined" and then bash Zenimax for a lack of global economy.

You wanted player housing and moral choices, and even though both have been announced for a summer release, you still put the game down for it not existing.

You never talked about crafting. At all. One of the games greatest features.
Many MMOs are rated on their crafting for final scores. Joe mentions it quite heavily in Guild Wars 2, even if I'm not mistaken. I believe he claims that the person "who came up with the cooking needs a promotion, IMMEDIATELY!"

So why neglect it here? It was such a HUGE part of Skyrim (which he mentions there), and it is a HUGE part of it in ESO, that  to absolutely neglect it? Unfair. Completely unfair.

I understand he had time constraints, but still, it is sad to see such a major component of The Elder Scrolls series not even get the praise it deserves.

I know you are incredibly busy, especially with the past week. And I know you had some fun, especially when you weren't streaming, not being harassed, and chatting casually in the guild. And even more so in PVP (minus last satuday's start).

While I agree wit the graphics being underwhelming, in some areas, they are clearly better than vanilla Skyrim graphics by a long shot. And I agree bugs are annoying, but I find Zenimax to be doing a better than average job fixing them.  Gold farmers become almost non-existent in areas past Auridon. Thank god. So public dungeons become much more enjoyable.
The game opens up SO much in late Greenshade. (2nd zone for Aldmeri Dominion.) It follows suit in the other Zones as well.

You will probably get that horse, be able to zip around, feel attached to your character, see some of the epic side-quest lines with major consequences.

BUT lets cover something here. Horses. Joe is RIGHT ON THE FUCKING MONEY.
You NEED the Imperial Edition. With it, you get a 1g horse, and you can buy that 1g horse more than once across every character in your command. Meaning you are saving between 14-42 thousand gold per horse (42k hoses are pointless though, 42k for 10 more bag space is stupid and not worth it. Ever.)

All of the gold you would be spending on a horse could be going to inventory space/bank space to ease the juggling of inventory management. So yes. Zenimax fucked up on that part pretty hard.

I enjoyed the review, you make god points, but the lack of time with it, and the way you spent the time in the world, nay, how you experienced the world of Tamriel. I just CANNOT agree with the judgement you passed and the score it received.

    Take care man! =]"

I am going to hit 30 soon, what and how much of each resource will I need to send you to make a full set of Altmer or Breton heavy armor?

Also, is it an enchanter that can place special effects on the heavy armor once you are done making it?

Maybe we should have everyone who is going to join the guild vote on the faction, which ever faction gets the most vote, we choose.

Yes.  Implied in my previous post, sorry.  The fact that this also breaks the established lore, especially for the Dominion kinda annoys me, though.  The whole point of the AD being that the queen refuses to allow a human on the throne but with the preorder bonus will apparently be ok with supporting a human emperor...  So... what exactly was her reason for creating her own faction then?

I know a lot of people don't care about in game lore, but I do.  It's kind of the main reason ESO even appeals to me in the first place.

    Nitpicky.  Rant.  Still...

    Ladies and Gents,
After contacting AJSA leadership it is my understanding that we can begin organizing an ESO group. Now this game is not one that is officially supported by the AJSA on the PS4, so any guild names or info pertaining to this group will be Unofficial as far as AJSA is concerned. Simplified, this is a group that we are creating out of AJSA members, but not an AJSA group. That being said lets begin organizing! I will be using SGT Ross’s PC organization as a template for our platform. Changes will be made as more info becomes available. Please PM me with any corrections or info to add to this thread.
    -Server
The PS4 servers are going to be split into EU and NA. Leveling and raid groups will be organized at different times of day to accommodate as many players as possible (I personally will be playing from 2200-0200 pst). I ask that our EU contingent play on the NA server so we can consolidate everyone to one server. This will be reversed if the majority of players are in the EU. More info @ https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6778/kw/megaserver
    - Faction
    We will be AD.
    -Guild
    Name
-Please vote on the Guild name. Depending on the number of members we may use multiple choice like the PC brothers do.
    Ranks
--Ranks will follow AJSA ranks and be translated over from the community forums.
--A guild leader will be chosen closer to game release. (I am acting as a facilitator and do not expect to be the guild leader.)
    ---Guild Leader
    -TBD
    ---Council members
    -TBD
    ---Sergeant
    -TBD
    ---Veteran
    ---Member
    ---Recruit
    Membership
-A thread will be created for members to submit character names for guild invites.
-Based on participation, non-AJSA players (ie friends of members) may be considered on a case by case basis. These applicants must understand and follow the AJSA Code of Conduct.
    Voice Chat
-We will use in-game provided methods for chat supplemented with PS party chat.
    Guild Bank/Store
-A player/s will be appointed to manage the guild bank.
-There is no Auction House in ESO. Players in a guild have access to a Guild store where they can buy items from other members.
-If you hold a keep it gives access to your guild store to the public of that PvP zone. It will be important for Guild economy to hold a keep so we have a source of income.

Well if people want to be different races they can just preorder the game and be whatever race they want. But if we do want a shot at being official. It's by playing like the PC gamers and kicking twice the ass. So really it comes down to do we want to be official or not

Personal note: i accidental put this question on the wrong forum area so i decided to try and fix that by putting it on here (orriginal is still in the PC area)
My question is one i have been thinking rather hard on, and that is will there be a official AJSA guild for consoles (more specifically the ps4)  for Elder Scrolls Online i understand this community is mainly a PC community. But my PC is "lacking" (for lack of a better word) in terms of everything when it comes to gaming so i resort to consoles. If anyone can give me a official statement or even an idea on how guilds for the AJSA will be handled on consoles it would be greatly appreciated.

    -Thanks everyone

I have been very active following both ESO and Destiny as it relates to AJSA. If you haven't joined the PS4 message board, I highly recommend it. Message Withastick on PSN to be added to the message room.  As far as an AJSA official guild there is none atm.  Joe will be playing primarily PC, so if your aspirations are to be part of his personal guild you are SOL.  When the game drops and there is no guidance from higher I will make an attempt to organize a AJSA guild for PS4.  I have not seen an appointed AJSA Game Officer as it stand now, but I will try to find out and disseminate the info.  Hope this answers your questions!
