    Thats Bullshit

DISCLAIMER: Hey guys, as you know I've streamed like 20+ hours of destiny and have completed pretty much all of the content in the game. I've given it more than a fair chance to impress me or show me everything it had to offer.
I'm going to jump right in and tell you that after many hours of playing I've given this game an official 6/10, and I'll tell you in detail why. I'll start with the good, which is outweighed tremendously by the bad.
Please do not assume I am being super negative or bashing on the game. A 6/10 is "slightly above average", average being a 5 - Simply put, you read and can decide if you want to buy the game or keep it or whatever.
    - The game looks pretty. A lot of scenes are pretty decently detailed but aside from that not so breathtaking.
    - The game allows you to play with friends.
    - Destiny has some borderlands features, which makes it somewhat entertaining.
    - The voice acting is okay.
    - The customization is okay.
    - The gameplay is not terrible.
    CONS: (Be ready, lol)
The game's combat is very boring and consists of doing the same thing over and over again.. using the same weapons on end for quite some time as you level up through the game. It is really just a 'run and shoot' game with some talent trees added in that do not really give you any bonuses to using weapons or any breathtaking special abilities.
I feel like constantly I'm doing the same thing.. shoot..... kill enemies.. shoot.. kill enemies.. casting my one ability after shooting and killing enemies.. and every gun is the exact fucking same it feels, aside from upgrades.
Ammo for heavy weapons is also amazingly scarce.
    Also, spamming melee. Okay.
MAIN STORY? Not even. Narrated gauntlet gameplay, maybe.
The main story is absolutely trash with absolutely zero innovation or really any thought put into it. You spend the entire game trying to find out what 'The darkness' is, something that seemed to have an extremely important role in the trailer and throughout the developer interviews and press.
There is literally no interaction with 'the darkness' throughout the majority of the game. You start off thrown into the world without any rhyme or reason and you're fighting against scavengers, mercenaries, and other bandit factions. They do not really associate themselves with the darkness and kill each other during fights.. which means they are not allied.
The campaign boss fights (If you can call them that) are literally reskinned versions of common enemies that you fight during the game. They do not have any special mechanics (They shoot at you repeatedly and do nothing else) with little to no reward for killing them. They do not offer any sort of challenge (You kill them almost instantly with your special) and they generally do not give you any threat, even on hard.
You also will never, EVER feel important or 'key' to the universe like other Bungie games involving MC. Aww yeah, Halo.
As well, you do not get any sort of lore or detailing as to what the fuck you are doing or why any of this is happening. You do not get any further background information on what ANYTHING you're fighting is or what the darkness is. At the end of the game you're still just as fucking clueless as you were at the beginning. What the fuck.
The loot system is absolutely terrible. It's clear that they were trying to be like borderlands but failed miserably in some of the primary aspects of what needs to happen for players to feel like they're getting things and progressing their characters.
Getting weapons from enemies is completely random and a lot of the time that you do they're extremely low quality or repeats of weapons that you've already gotten. I assume there is less than 10 of each weapon type in the game (As you get the same ones from level 1 but level 17+ versions later on) and that they did not put any randomness into the design.
As well, grinding for anything from missions takes LITERALLY FOR FUCKING EVER and your chance of getting that *last* piece of gear you need to be in a full set or all in blues will take you DAYS of grinding. Good luck.
Bosses do not drop loot when they die. The vast majority of the time when they die they drop a consumable or some money... but absolutely no loot for the majority of instances. Bosses, in my mind, are suppose to reward you for spending 15-20 minutes shooting them, which leads into my next complaint about the game.
The boss fights are ALL similar. There is literally zero creativity when it comes to bosses. I gave this an extreme amount of testing, so do not assume that I am making things up.
Every boss fight can be broken down into the same three strategies: Shoot, duck, kill adds. Rinse and repeat for 10-20 minutes because bosses have an INSANE amount of health for what you have to do. Bosses will sit and absorb THOUSANDS of rounds even though they're not doing anything special or entertaining in the slightest.
Most of the bosses, as stated, retain the same models as their lesser counterparts but with reskins. They do not have ANY special features or mechanics to be different.. they just do more damage and have 238942189148132x more HP than the smaller versions.
There is not a  SINGLE  fight with ANY sort of interesting  mechanic or feature. Everything is the same over and over and over and over throughout leveling and in the raids. It is NOT enjoyable after the 10th time trying to get a piece of loot from them.
There is absolutely no player synergy or point really to playing with other players. Now, don't get me wrong, playing with friends can be entertaining... but for the most part this serves no purpose other than to be revived.
There are no mechanics in the game that are made better by having other people in the game. There are no situations where a player can do something cool like put a boss in stasis so other players do more damage. There are no mechanics for abilities to chain off of each other or elements to allow cool shit to happen.. like soaking a boss then electrifying them as another player.
There are no interactions aside from partying up to use voice and communicating with other people in your game who may be stupid as hell is almost impossible.
The HP modifier, actually, for being with other people is absolutely pants on head DUMB. It doubles the HP of the boss for each player in the game and does not take into account their gear score, level, or anything else. Take in mind you can do raids 2 levels below what they need to be.. meaning that if a level 12 comes into a level 14 strike they still double the bosses HP but cannot put out the damage.
You pretty much ALWAYS feel like you're just with some random people in a single player game that really has no point to even be multiplayer. It feels like crap and you are always hoping and wanting something cool to be possible.. (Like two people vehicles even?.. nope) and generally will end up just deciding to play by yourself for ease of content.
There is NO bonus to XP or loot for playing with other people from what I've noticed. I still get just as many drops plowing through shit on my own and the XP I get for killing things is EXACTLY THE SAME even with the x6 HP. What the fuck, Bungie?
The game repeats itself.. a lot. Even at endgame.
By this I mean that the story will constantly,   CONSTANTLY   re-use levels that you've been at before and never really give you anything unique (With the exception of the final mission, the Black Garden) and subject you to the same basis of "defend dinklebot while he scans" or "kill a gauntlet of enemies over and over" on every twist and turn. At the end there will always be a bossfight or group of enemies and then the mission will suddenly end.
Even the   FINAL BOSS OF THE GAME   is a rinse and repeat fight.. to bea t the Darkness you simply kill  THREE FUCKING RESKINNED  MINOTAURS and your dinklebot w  ill say "Yay the darkness is dead!" ending it entirely. Throughout the entire game you will CONSTANTLY get letdowns like this and fe el like it never quite reaches a climax or a point where you feel involved.
The enemies will constantly be the same for the factions. You will always be fighting the same guys and ALWAYS doing the same missions.
But wait, it doesn't in there! Remember how Bungie said the real game starts at level 20 and that you need to hold off until that point?
Getting to level 20 unlocks NOTHING except heroic and advanced versions of the game from level 1-19! Think you'll be fighting new bosses? NO. Think you'll be doing new missions? NO.
You will be forced to go and grind these terrible bosses and levels that you have already done for an INSANE amount of time to level up or get pieces of gear. They're simply scaled to be level 20, 22, or higher based on your 'light' score which is entirely just based off of gear you get through a painstakingly crappy process.
Also, the faction mechanics just SUCK ASS. I wont go into detail.
It was and still is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that they dumped most of their budget into marketing and DID NOT put any thought into the game's endgame or making it unique.
This is probably my biggest fucking issue with the entire game.. something that has ruined it, personally, for me on so many levels.
The game is EXTREMELY forceful on the autoaim/aimassist and it's actually TOO generous to be in the game. I don't know why they chose to add this after not having it in a majority of the Halo games (For competitive reasons) but it makes even the crappiest players into 90% accurate killing machines. This makes it so that any idiot using a sniper rifle can consistently shoot you from a distance.. people lock onto you and gun you down without any issue, and there's almost NO SKILL CEILING.
This is an issue, because the way this autoaim works is that it pulls your crosshair in the direction that the enemy is moving while reducing your sensitivity down to about 5% of what it actually is. Not only that, but it decides who you're going to aim at in a general location and pulls your aim towards the TORSO of players in PVP, preventing skilled headshots.
For someone that plays at sensitivity 10 and is use to making split section shots and reaction kills.. it absolutely ruins it for me. My sensitivity dropping to 1% EVERY GODDAMN TIME I AIM AT AN ENEMY makes it impossible for me to line up headshots in PVP a lot of the time (With people jumping) and makes me feel like the game is trying to play itself.
When I say that this is INSANELY HIGH, I'm not exaggerating. Go into the Crucible and try to pvp, you'll see that everyone aims PRETTY FUCKING PRO and that your own aim is pretty much a lockon for players. This is PATHETIC.
I understand that you need to appeal to people on consoles being crap with aim but allowing it to 1. be in the PVP Section and 2. not being able to be turned off is a HUUUUUUUGE FUCKUP.
I am not going to play PVP *AT ALL* until I can at least turn this off so I can outskill people who are relying on the free fucking kills. It's crap. Absolute crap.
Bungie lied out their asses constantly during press events and gave us a game that is less than 10% of what they promised it would be. The money did not go into creative process, it do not go into designing unique mechanics.. it did not go into making the game special in any way, shape, or form.
The game did not get better at level 20 like they promised it would. It did not give you a special experience with a 'captivating' storyline and 'enthralling' voice acting. There was absolutely zero immersion most of the time.
I did not buy too much into the hype, but JESUS CHRIST they dropped the ball on this game. It is EXTREMELY average (And that's generous) and feels like I have to zone out to simply play it and all it is doing is taking up my time.
I don't know if marketing is to blame for what happened or if Activision is at fault for the game being rushed? Who knows.. I just know that it's not what we expected.. and it definitely does not deliver on a lot of points.
I'm sorry I had to go into this and make a post/rant.. I did this a lot on my stream, you're welcome to go back and watch (www.twitch.tv/angryjoeshow the archived videos) - but it's clear this game is not worth more than a 6/10
Sorry guys, I wish it would've lived up to the hype even 10%.

No, it's not an awful game. It's a good game, not perfect but good,  6/10 or 7/10.
The problem is that he sucks at it and that's why he hates the game. He didn't even bother to learn the combat or understand the tutorial messages. He just bashes the attack button randomly then complains that the animations are too long and clumsy. The combat is timed based, he has to attack in rhythm to get the fast animations.
    Here's a combat tutorial video:
Plenty of people sent it to Angry Joe from worldofrisen forum but of course he doesn't bother to watch it. He already decided in the first 10 minutes that the game is bad.
They obviously don't have the Bethesda or Bioware amount of money to make their games.
It isn't boring. I haven't seen any major bug in my playthrough. It is not unfinished. It isn't lame.
Btw this is not the first time Joe bashes a game because he's bad at it and we can see this a lot more because he streams everything now. And he doesn't understand that this is an RPG and not an action-adventure game like Ass Creed. I'm really disappointed in Joe.

I just finished Risen 3 and i think it was very good. It kept me motivated except for the very last Island (because i already had every available upgrade, so exploring every nook and cranny was pretty pointless). The Combat works way better after you get a feeling for the rhythm and combination of parrying, dodging and Riposte. Unfortunately the ending was quite short an unimaginative and they should have made more out of the seafights. I would give it something between 8 and 8.5 out of 10.
Joe´s stream sounded pretty biased, almost as if he already decided, that the game is a failure in the first 3 mintues of playing.
For me, the only game in the Risen/Gothic Universe that really failed was Gothic 3. Completely unplayable and after the Community fixed most of the bugs, it just felt empty.

From what I have seen, Joe seems to have no idea what to do in this game and how to play it.  In his latest Stream he somehow managed to have a Companion with him (finally!) and his combat skills improved and he didn't act like he is pissed all the time for no reason. So, overall  improved but still bad .
Normally, after the starter island you choose a faction which you want to join. The Demon Hunters on Calador for example, you do the Factions Quests, join them and after that you can summon allies, cast Spells, new dodge animation (teleportation), new armor/weapons and then you go for the other quests (huge amount on every island) or stay on Calador and keep bashing the shadows there and free the island first (don’t know if possible right after joining). I don't see him anywhere near joining a faction so far.
You may want to learn smithing, I did that and was able to craft a new shiny sword. No idea where I got the instructions from but it is blue, can't be bad xD.
And for god sake, when you are on a ship, talk to a companion and pick the "come with me" line. Bones can heal you, makes it easier.
Combat needs some patching, it annoys the shit out of me sometimes but it is manageable.
Let’s see the next stream…. uff Maybe this will help a little.

It is a good game as a whole, but you shouldn't bother if you don't know anything about it .
Joe is good in strategy games. EvE online, that torture is another story xD. But thanks for your.... well thought comment, it was a nice addition ähm. Beginners can get lost in Risen 3, that is why I wrote down a red line.

You don't know Questing and Mob Grinding and group mechanics until you've played EverQuest. MWAHAHAHAHAHA. And I don't mean EQ now, I mean EQ when it was only Vanilla with Kunark and Velious! WoW was easy from day one, and got boring fast because it was easy, Raids were a joke in WoW,same with every MMO made since. You don't know camping with a group of 5 at the Sarnak Fort in LoiO for 32 hours just to get 3 levels and there was NO RED BULL BACK THEN! We had Downtime, real downtime, Socializing, group wipes, loss of XP, Loss of levels, our healers went OOM midway through chain pulls, Root parking was an artform, FD pulling was majestic, Tanks had 2 buttons to push, Rangers died, there were trains to zone, And Dvinn sat in his tower and laughed when he caught sight of you because he knew you were going to die. No MMO since has given me that WOW factor. Except TERA's combat system, and the big portal chain thing events in ESO.....Thats about it.....Oh And Dark Age of Camelot.
The two best MMO's made were EQ and DAoC. DAoC had reverse camping MoB AI, oh that was so much fun. I laugh when people think MMO's since WoW are quest grindy, then whine that you can't MoB grind. Did you know it was the MMO community back then that screamed for less MoB grind for levels and more quest grind, with progressive stories to immerse us all. And we get that, for 10 years we have been getting that and fast leveling, and for ten years still with all the whining.
Does the game have bugs? Yes. Was Joe accurate? Yes. Was Joe right in reviewing the game right out of the gates? Yes and No. Yes because he was able to properly identify what was wrong with the game. No because they were in the process of fixing what was wrong with the game as far as the bugs go. As far as the immersion goes it could be a bit more epic I agree.
Joe should do another review, 6 months to a year from now, playing from level 1 to max, experiencing all content he can, then give a proper review. And no, playing your buddies high level toon does not count.
Or, Joe can man up and play Ever Quest. And only one of two things will happen if you play EQ, you'll go insane, or you'll find a sense of accomplishment you've never felt in an MMO when you stand proudly on the docks of Butcherblock holding Swiftwind and Earthcaller in all their lightning glory!...that is if you play a Ranger/Agro battery

From what I can tell by now is that a lot of people are leaving because of the "end game" if u can call it that. The veteran levels, doing all the quests again and the ones from the other factions ruins the fun and it's like Occupational therapy. People telling it's the greatest game ever are still in the low levels and enoying the solo content, but once they reach the veteran content it 's all down hill from there.

We understand that more and more people from the EU side are experiencing the same problems as you are... so be advised that we will organize an AA guild on one of the EU servers in early July... so keep an eye out for the poll in the GW2 subforum.  The poll will:
    - Re-assess interest in an EU guild
    - Determine which server it will be in
    - Organize a chain of command that operates in sync with the one in NSP

I recently played GW2 again, first on the Northern Shiverpeaks Server and it felt kinda empty from a social point of view. Still lots of players but you won't read anything from them in the world chat besides asking where the Zerg is. That Zerg is grinding Bosses 24/7 it seems and u better not ask something else or prepare you butthole for some nice responds .
Switched back to the german servers because of the time zone, didn't thought of that, people starting to make dinner at 2 o'clock in the morning (my time). Even less conversations on my current server. But I play it here and there because it costs no subscription fee and that's great. Rift is still my favourite though. You sure have fun playing GW2, for the first time it is a blast because of so many refreshing ideas and features.

I agree with many points of Aj's review this game is just not good at all and if you played mmorpgs way back in the day and state that this game is awesome makes it even worse. I started with Ultima Online too and produced crazy bills with my 56k modem, that is why i can tell that this game is mediocre to the bones.
But i don't give so much about angry joes score since he lost a crap load of reputaion regarding to mmos with his 10/10 Guild Wars 2 review. That is by the way the first you read sharing his ESO video... "is this the same guy who gave GW2 10/10?". Take his opinion and the ones from others and decide if u want to spend a crazy amount of money to see it for yourself ^^. I may check it out in half a year or later.

OK, my first MOBA game is League of Legends. I played some DOTA 2 back in 2012 and I quit it after 2 days.
    1. I sucked.
    2. I was playing alone and it was a little more boring and harder to learn and less joyful.
"Apex fucking noob gtfo and uninstall the game"
    "fucking noob gtfo"
    "Learn to play kid"
    "omg gtfo fucking kill stealer"
That is the only things in chat that I saw in those 2 days. Of course I quit the freaking game.
Now hold on and calm down, I'm not saying DOTA 2 community is the only one that sucks, but so does LoL's just as much and I'm sure all other MOBA communities are as bad, but some maybe less.
The only reason that I'm  STILL playing League after 5 months since I started is because I had friends to play with and one of them constantly played with me until I hit 30 and he still does. Less now since he started Ranked.
Anyways, I've played MP games with HORRIBLE communities....
Counter Strike 1.6/Source/GO- Assholes, cheaters, kids, l33t and that kind of shit. Less in Global Offensive though.
Battlefield 3 - Ok, I don't hate Polish and Russians at all, but damn, these guys in BF3 always used the most annoying tactics, guns and vehicles and they never spoke English. All they did was curse at you in Russian or Polish and I knew they were cursing at me because I saw my name there. Not to mention all the dudes with their playstyles...overall same crap like CS, but with less cheaters.
    CoD MW2 - I don't think I have to explain myself.
And several other games with pretty bad communities, but a little better than the ones above.
Now let's get to the number 1 of the shittiest and most poisonous communities of any genre and game that I played...
Since I played LoL the most, let me try to show you an example of this community...imagine yourself playing a certain role you never played and you want to learn it.
    Me: Hey guys
    Your team: Hey
Me: Playing Kata mid for the 1st time, I will do my best
    Your team: Don't feed
    Me: Ok
*10 minutes later you get killed*
Your team: Kata stupid noob l2p
    Me: Sorry man, I'm learning
Your team: go play custom games with bots noob
    Me: Ok...
    *You finally get a kill*
Me: We were killing that guy at the same time and I hit him last, not a KS.
Your teammate: I attacked him first idiot fucker
Me: I came to help you, he would of run away
Your teammate: He wouldn't fucking noob gtfo and uninstall the game
    Me: Nope
Your team: Kata noob feeder gtfo
Me: Alright...I died 2 times only, you died 10
Your teammate: Kata reported for noob
Other teammate to enemy team: Every1 report our kata noob plz
    Enemyteam: Why?
Teammate: bcz our kata is a fucking nuub feedr
    Enemy: Ok
Me: Dude, you have worst KD than me and you are not even doing objectives
    Teammate: stfu and l2p
I could go on forever and forever and forever...the amount of idiots, kids, criers and what not in LoL community is just beyond me. And that's just EuW...I heard that OCE server is like League's prison pit for worst of the worst players.
Players make fun of each other in-game, forums...example:
Some guy opens up a thread that a champion needs a buff/nerf and most people will just dislike the post and start insulting.
I've never witnessed or heard of a worst community...I mean if LoL had a in-game VoIP, Call of Duty wouldn't even be close as bad as League of Legends. I'm sure it's same in DOTA 2 and most MOBAs...and I might have a simple explanation as to why.
    Team size / Teamplay
Unlike BF3 or some shooter where teams are bigger, you will get less shit on by your team simply because the team is bigger and the team's victory and success doesn't depend only on you. Same with most shooters where teams are a little larger or any game with a little larger team. In DOTA 2 and LoL for example, teams are composed of only 5 players and almost everyone's effort and gameplay is important. If your support fails, you might lose Bot lane. If your top fails, you might lose top lane and the game, if you can't organize yourselves. If one or 2 more teammates feed in your team, you might lose the game. One player has huge impact on the outcome of the game in MOBA games because the teams are smaller, meaning everyone needs to play their best.
Nobody likes to lose in these games as they are very competitive so having a bad player will piss off some "l33t victory pro" he will act like a giant ass dick to you, if you fail...that's when all hell starts to break lose.
That is my simple personal explanation as to why the MOBA community is probably the worst...or is it?
In my opinion it is because I haven't seen more assholes that made me quit the entire game than in LoL and DOTA 2. I've talked to a few friends who play DOTA 2 and they say the community isn't any better than LoL's and it's basically the same shit. If anyone said, "I don't want to play League/DOTA" and I asked why, they always said, "Because of the community." And I agree 100%.
Luckily, I really enjoy LoL so I can look past all the idiots in the game and I simply use mute, but if I paid attention to every idiot in that game, I would uninstall the game at this moment.
What's your opinion on all this and do you think MOBA has the worst community? If not, please tell me which community is more poisonus, I really want to know lol

Well after watching several streams of both AngryJoe, AJSA_Delrith, and AJSAGaming I feel empty. Mainly Delrith and Gaming streams, those do not have much enthusiasm and made me feel a bit bored honestly. (Not trying to be mean here ) I mean, there's not enough "HOLLYWOOD MICHAEL BAY ACTION IN 3D FIVE STARS" stuff in those livestreams (except for Joe's streams). Delrith/Gaming streams should be a little similar to Joe's streams. Those streams that are unpopular (they usually have 16-50 people watching which is way too low) but they are really competitive and downright serious. The streams need just a little comedy and action, followed with long discussions.
By the way, Delrith/Gaming streams are really good (maybe nostalgic) to watch. You guys should really check them out. However, I keep seeing people coming on the streams and thought Joe was streaming. (A bit ridiculous) Then they quit the streams and just never stay. I was annoyed at least.
On the other hand, the community really needs to get involved a bit more. When games are approved officially, a lot of people come on the game. Then, after a few days the game's clan/guild has only a few people online. This also applies to Teamspeak 3, which there is not a lot of people in it. (Come on guys Teamspeak also has chat and mic. Don't be afraid. We accept everyone. Even if you are 12 or any other age) See, when a game gets approved (the topic usually has a lot of views and posts) I would expect a lot of people ingame and in teamspeak. However, out of all those views and posts there is not much people ingame. For example, SWTOR. It was approved and had a bunch of views/posts. Then after a while, not much people came on.
I made this because some of these things got on my nerves a bit.
