  1. Hi! I was wondering if anyone here plays melee, especially competitively. So I'll just assume that you do if you post in this, lol. Anyways, I'll jump right into a discussion question: do you think low-tier characters don't have enough people playing them for the characters to get enough recognition, or that the less played ones are just worse than high-tier characters? I personally think that some characters are better than others, but some low-tier characters can be played very well, and deserve a higher spot.
  2. Avatar: The Last Airbender, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Invader Zim; just to name a few.
  3. Post your impressions below. I haven't gotten to play with the new changes yet, but I'd like to see what you guys think of the trinkets, new items, the wight, etc. EDIT 1: Just finished making new masteries. They're pretty awesome.
  4. First of all, you should ABSOLUTELY focus on one role and get better at it. Secondly, I meant that you should learn how to play each role decently so that you don't get stuck having to play a role which you have no idea how to play.
  5. Hello! Champion select is usually perfect or terrible. Here's some tips on how to avoid your game being ruined in champ select. 1. Learn to play all 5 roles This is probably the most important one. If you don't know how to play all 5 roles decently, then you're going to get stuck with a role you don't know how to play eventually, which isn't fun for anybody, except for the enemy team. 2. Re-word your call If you want to get your role, (with call order) which of these do you think will let you get your role easier? TOP Pref top (hint: it's this one) I like to go even further than that by calling out all the roles in my order of preference. Gets me a role I want 80% of the time. I have others that I might edit in later. What are you guys' tips for champion select?
  6. Minion kills and objectives > Getting a kill and dying EDIT: Maybe not my number 1, but it's pretty important.
  7. Not exactly sure where you're getting this from. Most supports I play with barely even chat, probably because a lot of adc's verbally abuse their supports.
  8. Simple. ADCs. While not all of them are ragers, but there are enough bad ones for it to happen too often. Here's a video about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqakQqxkcME
  9. Here are some helpful yewtewb channels too: http://www.youtube.com/user/gregidot http://www.youtube.com/user/gbay99 http://www.youtube.com/user/GamingCurios Hoped I helped.
  10. Hullo! I am currently level 20 and have created a list of actually useful tips for you on dealing with the league of legends community. (by community I mean toxic players) Written at 3:53 AM: take some of these with a grain of salt, I guess 1. Attempt to stop arguments -Make sure to try to do this, but don't get too involved, otherwise it will distract you from the game and probably fuel the rage of the argument more. 2. Tell them to stay focused -Not much to this one, but staying on playing the game wins games, not raging or insulting teammates. 3. Praise -Praising teammates is a great way to make them feel great and to make toxic people less inclined to get angry at you, since you've been praising them all game. 4. Ignoring -The best solution to toxic players if they can't be treated with any of the things on these lists is to ignore them. DO NOT TELL THEM YOU ARE MUTING THEM. If you do this, they could possibly intentionally feed or do other things to try to gain your attention. -Most players will stop once ignored by most of their team 5. Just play your role -If you just decide to focus on your lane and carry, this will often yield surprisingly good results. 6. Never say you're going to report someone -This is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but this gives the person more attention if he/she is a troll 7. Report toxicity -After having a bad game, I usually quit the post-game screen quickly, but staying to report bitter behavior is a much better choice.
  11. Level: 20 Rank: Wishing for level 30 by start of season 4, so I can actually put something here Hours: Started playing around the middle of season 3 I guess? I have 57 normal wins. Region: US west Roles: I like every one except for adc: 1. Top (wukong yeaaaa) 2. Mid (karhtus yeaaaa) 3. Jungle (mundo yeaaa) 4. Support (sona yeeaaa) 5. Adc (umm... ashe? whatever free adc there is?)
  12. I understand what you're going for here, but you can get t3 runes at lvl 20, so why not have that advantage for 10 levels? Plus, jungle is one of the roles that needs runes the most. As for what runes to get, I suggest you rush toward flat armor seals, as they will help you in taking less damage from monsters at the beginning of the game.
  13. Hey, cool thread Favorite Champs: WUKONG THE MONKEY KING, Karthus, TF As for the season four changes: Trinkets- I feel that they have been fairly well executed so far. Now that everyone has a free trinket, there really isn't a reason to not ward ("i dun haev enuff monies") New jungle- Haven't seen very much of it yet. I like the idea of the new camp though. Pink wards- Will incline people to use these much more frequently and deny enemy vision while making it so you don't waste a pinky if you put it in a spot with no wards. Maybe they could be used as a distraction. Dunno. New support and jungle items: Awesome. These were a long time coming.
  14. Haven't seen many people play him at all, but I see him in the support role the most. While he can be used effectively in both positions depending on player understanding and item builds, I feel like there are better options for mid-laners.
