I think Sony Vegas is pretty good, been using it since I started doing Youtube regularly. I've done pretty much everything Youtube related with it from my trailer, reviews, Let's Plays, banner, and profile picture with it.

I've been bored for the past few days, so I ended up dabbling in video editing. It's just a couple of clips of me and my friends playing CS:GO. Nothing special, no cool effects or anything. I'll probably try learning some of those for future videos, if I decide to make more. If you have any tips/suggestions/criticism, I'm open to it.
 
 

Ah Sony Vegas is pretty good for montages of lower-med edits, but if you want high quality you would have to use Adobe After Effects. I honestly have no idea if there are any good free editing software that are as good quality as Sony Vegas. I'll google for some later and if I find something I'll post it here.

Thanks for the tips. I was actually thinking of using slow-motion and trying out filters, but decided I'd leave that for another time. I was more interested in seeing how the quality would turn out. I'll try matching the footage to the music playing in the future.
 
I used the trial version of Sony Vegas. I'll have to look into other options, though, since that won't last forever.

Pretty good, but try to use some color filter that isn't too obvious or too ugly or maybe add some screen effects and slow-mo from time to time, for example when you pull of a epic headshot or jump headshot or something like that. You just mashed clips together with no edit right? While I'm personally not a big fan of overedited montage, a bit of contrast/lighting edit can make a huge difference, even if it's not overdone. Also for next clip, try to maybe make some shots sync to the music.
 
 
 
This was my first montage edit ever and while it's not the best example and just a decent edit (not too edited), but it might be a good start for you. Playing with lighting/contrast and some basic color filters is a good starting point to learning more advanced editing techniques. (if you interested in making more) and that's how I did this video.
No worries, I'm not advertising. my channel has been dead for years now lol, but this is how I did my first montage. Started with the smallest easy edits and later in my next montage or videos, I used more advanced tehniques and if you decide to make another montage, try something similar maybe? Of course, just make it better than my shit montage xD
Of course that is if you decide to go for montage rather than fragclips with no edits, which are great too.

I haven't played the game myself, but friends have. From what I saw of them playing, it doesn't seem like a BAD time killer, but for $60? No bueno. Might consider during a sale when it's $20-$30.

I'd suggest taking a look at the TomsHardware PSU tier list (you can just copy and paste the underlined part into google and you'll find it, dunno if I can link the site here) to find which PSU's are of high quality and which aren't. Almost every brand has their good units and bad units, Corsair included. You just have to pick the right one. That list will help you. As for the fans on the GPU, you could always look up how the specific GPU performs when overclocked. There's usually always someone who does a test/review to help others decide. From what I hear, Gigabyte and MSI usually have the best cooling. I'd assume EVGA and Asus aren't too far behind, though. 
 
EDIT: You could also always get an aftermarket cooling kit for your GPU, although I dunno how effective they are, I haven't seen that many people use them. People usually just liquid cool everything.

Just because Valve gave the green light on this game mean't nothing. I am surprised it took this long for EA and Luscasfilm to come in. However the team will take the in-house assets to build something similar just not with the Star Wars IP. So you are still getting your game just not with the skin you were looking for.

What would you guys recommend as a considerable and worthy upgrade? Or am I underestimating my 7870? If I'm not, I wouldn't mind having a 4GB, because more is usually always better.

They made a shit game, they wanted to suck money from people's pockets on purpose or they really thought it would be a succesful game. Point is, it don't matter what their intentions were.
They fucked up the game and they know that and now they are trying to make it F2P and they are reworking it, so that it gets fixed and hopefully makes it good. As long as they don't turn into P2W and they fix it, make it fun and decent, I'm up for it
 
It's free. You download it, you play it and you find out if it's good or bad now, after the new updates and rework. There is no point bashing it and saying its gonna suck ass. Developers and all people learn from mistakes. Final Fantasy 14 Realm Reborn is a good example of how a game can be a pure disaster at launch and once the developers pay attention to the bad sides and feedback, then they can make a good rework and make it one of the most succesful MMORPGs at this moment, making it the 2nd most played after WoW.
 
My point is not that Evolve will crush other games now, but I'm saying there is no point bashing it and saying it will still be shit. They are tryin' to improve it and let people play it for free. That's good enough for me to try it once it's ready. I might play it as soon as the update comes out. If it's still trash, uninstall. Nothing wasted.
 
Kind of sad seeing so many people bash it on forums, news sites, Youtube. I bet it's those fuckers that preordered it cauze they don't know how to waste their parent's money in better ways. Huh, deserved.

Well it's F2P now and maybe if they notice players giving it another chance, they will try harder to make the game fun. Tho I knew this game was a doomed product since close to it's launch. Although the concept looked great, I could see how quickly repetitive it could become, plus they fucked it up even more. I won't be playing it now but I will keep my eye on it if they decide to update it, patch it and fix it and then maybe I will give it a chance.
