Currently working on a rpg inspired by the 16 bit era JRPGs for mobiles and pc´s called Steam Tale. Its gotten pretty far along in development as we have completed most of the story and code parts of the game. Got a bit of a problem getting hold of someone who can do graphics for us right now, been trying to raise some money via a crowdfunding campaign but we will have to see how that goes. Has been hard to get the word out about our game.
If you want to know more check out any of these links or just give me a poke. Im allways up to talk about the game.

I wouldnt count the AoE series as dead, but I would say that theres atleast another 2 years until we will see a sequal is theres probebly none in the works as of right now. I think the failure of Age of Empire online may also push back an eventual sequal even further, but we will have to wait and see.

Not necisarily, as long as its all dealt with in game and there are no spoilers to upcoming content.. We can talk about ingame stuff, characters and show videos and all that. What is completely off limits in the NDA is anything said on the forums stays on the forums and we are not allowed to reveal or talk about upcoming content.

Flight is a great power in openworld superhero games, but Its not the one I want the most at the moment. Ive seen some decent enough flight in things like City of Villains and DC online, what I want to try out now is webslinging (or a variation of it like chains or ropes). Allways hear people talking about Spiderman 2, but I never got around to playing it.

Im guessing that is because your not a native japanese speaker. One of my old work colleges married a japanese girl and they live there now, and from what Ive heard from them there are plenty of games. movies and shows that are badly acted, we westerners just often dont pick up on it.  Dont have any specific examples to give, but I could give them a mail and ask them for a list.

They will most likely not be able to keep those stats anyway, so probebly not for that.
No, the sad truth is that most people seem to do it just to get that kind of reaction out of you. To make other players upset, angry and sad, simply because they get of on it. Its a powertrip, nothing more and nothing less.

Personally I would never cheat like that because I do not get that kind of satisfaction. I want to beat my opponents fairly, because that is when I get a kick out of gaming. If I find out that I won because they had a disconnect or because of a bug it dissapoints me, because then It wasnt really me who won.
  14. khanate liked a post in a topic by Vinterdraken in Do card games count as strategy?
This is going to sound a bit strange, but just because you use strategy doesnt make it a strategy game.

The problem being that strategy is a word that can be used in two ways. The first to describe having a plan to achive a long term goal, and the second to plan and direct military forces and operations.

Many games can fall in under the first definiton and thats usually why people want to classify card games as strategy games, but the real thing to focus on is long term, and many games fall in under that. but most card games arent strategic though, they are tactical. They are short term plans and constantly changing. Also in my opinion the strategy game genre actually falls in under the second meaning of the term. Strategy games are games where you are the commander, directing forces and managing logistics.

Hey Vinterdraken, I'm in the Beta. My tag there is Akoni81. Batman is my go to champ but Flash is another favorite of mine, and i'll usually go Green Lantern or Cyborg if team has too much melee.

Well, thats probebly the best thing they could have changed from the original, since Lo Wang was pretty annoying and a racist stereotype to boot. Got the original not to long ago actually in a bundle and loved alot of it, I was a big FPS gamer in the 90s but tired of them in more recent years. Been meaning to pick up the new version, but as allways theres just so many games and so little cash so Ive had to prioritize other games.

WARNING-In this topic I'm going to say my impression of the game. Afterall. This is only my opinion so if there's a problem with what I'm going to say then sorry. Allso. This topic will contain spoilers to the game so if you didn't play it.. I'll tell you right now.. GO PLAY IT!!!! My opinion/mini review about shadow warrior 2013
Shadow warrior is not the greatest game there was this year, and ofc not the greatest of all time.
The gameplay is pretty wired, the AI is normal, the monster verity isn't big, and there aren't enough weapons to weld. So there are some things to fix.. Even with the main character doesn't remind of the original Lo Wang.
Some monsters are similar to the classics. Like those charging stone wired backed monster things that you must shoot at the back to kill. They really reminded me of those apes things from the classic game. But that's all the monsters that reminded me of the originals.
Except for these flaws the game is pretty amazing! The graphics are ordinary/ nothing too usual, the slashing in the game was really fun and the story is just AMAZING! I think that the story is one of the best I saw in a game. Ofc its pretty hard to understand it. But once you do.. I'm telling you.. You'll know what I mean. With that, all the cutscenes were great, especially the beginning. The levels were like from duke nukem and it pissed me off pretty hard. But other then that, the gameplay was pretty easy even on the "insane" difficulty, and the secretes were pretty easy to find.
The game was pretty long so it doesn't need multiplayer to enjoy. Unlike bf4.... It's that sort of game where you play it, and forget about it. For me it took something like 3 days to Finnish.. So you know.. It was a great time waster..
Overall I loved the game, mostly by the drama and strength of the game and not by the gameplay... This game is that type of "story over gameplay" and it's a cool adventure from start to Finnish..
In the end, I know I'm not honored to rate the game like joe. But if someone of you are interested. I would give this game a 8.5/10. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed....
