One word. HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE!!!!
  3. CommanderCartman liked a post in a topic by Ancient in CS:GO: still enjoyable to you?
So, i have been playing CS:GO since its Beta. From time to time playing, and other times taking a break because of life & other games.
With CSGO gaining a competitive matchmaking system. There are now lots of people playing CSGO again, some say competitive matchmaking is the best thing they could possibly have added, to CS:GO. I personally agree. But i find that the game has some problems, not in its design or anything, but with its community. And here's what troubles me as of late:
Competitive matchmaking is filled with hackers/cheaters, most of the time, you cannot go online, play a match, without finding someone fishy, or obviously hacking! For me, it ruins the entire experience. Of course there are the community servers... Which i mostly try to avoid playing on, because.. Well you probably know why. ( 24 man dust2 match's everywhere where anyone can leave at will which is not really fun for me) There's this overwatch thing they put in, to get sneaky cheaters. Does it even work? Because apparently people just buy a new cheap copy of the game and start doing there thing once again. (I bet valve earns lots of cash lol)
And there are the smurfs, which go back to silver to troll, or just go and try to play on a lower rank to avoid the cheaters, making it kinda unfair for the lower ranks who may or may not play as well as the smurfs.
Though, i must admit, when you find that one match, with your friends, where no one is clearly a cheater, where the scores are tied, and everything is nostalgic, and people are polite and sportive till the last round. That, that makes me just wanna play more, but that seems rare nowadays. At least for me.
And sometimes you find one of those community servers with zombie mod on it, or surf, death-run etc... Which i find kinda cool depending. (These community modes made cs:s popular right?)
I have not shared my views on some other things in the game because they do not bother me really.
So my question to you is, do you still find CS:GO enjoyable? With its flaws in the community. If Yes/No, please state why? Do you find common ground in what i typed? Is something bothering you about the game?
Please let me know what you think of the game as of late :-)
    Forgive my english lol

Imagine you are put in charge of developing an mmo, you have as much time and as many resources as you need.
How will you make your game stand out, and what sort of themes will your game have?

    Here's mine:
    >Game setting is based on European bronze age.
    >There are influences from various cultures such as: Ionic, Mycenaean, Minoan, Etruscan, Gallic, Sarmatian, Persian, Babylonian etc.
    >The game is a sandbox with emphasis on building cities and guild pvp.
    >The game is mostly skill based.
    >There is a permanent death system similar to Star citizen's "death of a spaceman"
    >If your character dies you roll a new character that inherits the property of your old character.
    >payment system is an upfront 30 bucks
    >No f2p
    >no cashshop
    >no subscription
    >no cashshop
    >everything, even "cosmetics", are earned by PLAYING THE FUCKING GAME
    >NO CASHSHOP

I was 6 when Crysis came out, my cousins built a rig with an Intel Core 2 duo and an 8800 GT. Couldn't run it on Ultra.

If they are postponing the game that obviously mean that the game is not ready for feb and requires more time to work on.  I believe Rockstar will release a stable game at launch. They probably learn when gta 4 was  a bad launch.  Pc optimization is pain, since their so many devices, amd, intel and nvidia. Personally they should keep 1 cpu (intel) company and 1 gpu (nvidia) company make everything easier.  the 65 gb isn't a big deal because most of us 1tb or over of space, people who have poor internet like myself(0.8 mb/s) take time to download. knowing steam they will be a pre download 3 days before its release day.

We all saw that there's no features implemented on their Steam page, no Full Controller Support, Achievements, etc. This is a lesson after the Watch Dogs poor PC port that Rockstar decided to not release on the same date as the consoles to avoid debacle with the PC ports.
  8. CommanderCartman liked a post in a topic by ProfessorOaked in Assassin's Creed Unity outrageous specs on my PC?
This is pure speculation based on what i've heard of the situation and what Ubisoft themselves have put out so far, but it seems like they're only optimizing this game for the GPUs and CPUs listed on their minimum/recommended specs list, plus anything newer than those.
This just seems like laziness on their part, since the GTX 680 is still a VERY powerful card and no game on earth has that listed as the bare minimum, it only makes sense that it really means that that is the oldest card that they'll bother optimizing their game for. Even a properly overclocked 590 will beat out a 680, but they're just not going to optimize for older hardware because they're either lazy, or they've blown so much budget on other things that they don't have the money to pay for the time it would take. OR, they have deadlines to meet and they don't have time to optimize everything before release, and will do this after release. But again, all my own speculation as to what seems likely. In all likelihood, Unity will still run on machines with different and older hardware, and probably weaker hardware as well. It simply won't be tightly optimized, and won't run the best that it possibly can.

Not promising anything, but in my honest opinion, I am sure your first rig would be able to run Unity, maybe not with the best setting, but playable. However, I do not follow AC, so I might be wrong. Also, it will be capped to 30fps, so honestly you probably would not have to many frame problems if it is locked 30.

So it can run? I mean, I know a 760 is more powerful than the ps4 by a long shot, but it's less powerful than the 680, (these numbers are confusing) Honestly for me, when I got AC 4 for my old gtx 280, it ran at low settings ok, but ever since I got all of the AC games on pc, watch dogs on PC, all of corse on the upgrade from the 280 to the 760, I honestly have never had a problem with AC-AC4, only a small problem with watch dogs with lag which was fixed easily in the display settings. I understand it's a big problem with these games for others on pc, but I personally haven't gotten any problems with all of the AC games on pc. Heck, I've had more problems with Arkham Origins

@Jitterdommer. A more complex one, Assassins Creed V Unity GTX 680 MINIMUM/ i7 AS THE MINIMUM SPECS FOR THE GAME ON PC WITH 8 GB RAM!

    http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/16937-no-guarantee-joe-will-reply/
And I think he already knows...
Pewdiepie also appealed to the lowest common denominator, a young and extremely numerous fanbase, his videos popularizing the newer form of let's play where short attention spans and.... "young" senses of humor are favoured. That is also a HUGE part of the reason he is as famous as he is today, simply turning on a VPN won't make him "as famous as pewdiepie", that's for certain.
Isn't there something in the Youtube code of conduct on using VPNs for something like this? I can't really check right now
