As the title says, heres a teaser! Our first idea was sleep paralysis. Simple enough idea considering we don't have money for a lot of equipment! Enjoy

Question, what program are you using for your 3D modeling?

That Mr. Incredible mask doesn't really fit the rest of the outfit, but otherwise not bad.

This is just a little something I played about with to try get acquainted with the smoke simulator. The model didn't take me too long to make. I messed up at the start with the smoke simulation. The smoke that was coming out of the emitters was far too thick and chunky for the smoke grenade model and looked silly. So silly me, scaled everything up massively. Obviously I got the same problem. Sorted that problem when a very helpful person gave me some pointers.
To get the effect of the smoke being forced out of the nozzle, I used a half sphere and emitters. The emitters themselves had a very short life span, around 10-20 frames I'm sure, but they also had acceptable force on the Z axis. This and a slight random direction effect gave me a pretty good looking "spray".
Render time took me about a week (I think). Each frame of smoke took around 20-25 minutes. The full animation is 500 frames. I think I still need to play around with my settings to get faster renders without compromising the quality. I edited it and added in some sound effects with music.
Hope you all enjoy!
As always, thank you for your time! And remember, I'm still a noob at animating

The way I see it, this is his community content forum and this is a member of the community's content. It looks good, but I agree that there should be more soldiers behind Joe. And if you can, change the music. The song that is in there is a little too generic in my opinion. Also, change the mask. I don't know what to change it too, but it needs an update.

Hello all, I'm Fox, I'm 27 years of age and i live in the UK.
I've been watching the AJS for a good while now and when i noticed there was a community website i just had to join. I guess this is the spot where people are supposed to talk about who they are and what they are into right? Well I'm into games, naturally, pretty much all types of games, i don't have any kind of brand loyalty or fanboyisms to speak of.
If i find a game to be good then i'll play it, regardless of who made it, what reviews it got and things like that. I've always seen gaming as an experience to the individual so if a game gets a really low score but i myself enjoy playing it then to me that game is a good game though i often find myself agreeing with Angry Joe, i guess we just have similar tastes in that regard.
While i enjoy playing pretty much any type of game i do primarily spend my time playing MMO's, Guild Wars 2 being the one that has stuck with me the most. I am a Roleplayer in MMO's and not ashamed to admit it, i know a lot of people have the opinion that roleplaying is this sort of taboo, automatically drifting to the thought that all roleplay must b sexual in nature when RP is infact rarely sexual in nature for those that Roleplay as a hobby.
Beyond games i am also into Anime and pretty much anything else you'd expect, TV, Movies, Books and the like. i love music too. I'm a pretty open person, i don't tend to judge anybody and am easy to talk to, i'll list my owned platforms below and you guys can feel free to ad dme, though i have no Mic for my PS4.
PS4/PSN: Fawkzi
PC/Steam: Crymzen (Currently set as Fawks)
Xbox Live: CrymzenAssassin (Though i do not currently own an xbox consol, my 360 was traded in to gain money for the PS4, i will be getting and XBone once the price comes down.)
So feel free to add me, i look forwar dto spending some time with you guys on here and in game.

Ok, so I got a little tired of messing around with textures and such. So I decided to have a break, render what I've got so far and see how it looks. Rendering took about 12 hours or so. While that was rendering I played about with making a 3D logo and also messed around with the smoke simulator. I tried to recreate the effect Joe has in his reviews where there is explosions in the background.
Anyway hope you guys enjoy! The theme song wasn't my first pick but I couldn't get permission of the song I wanted to use in time sadly... Hopefully that will change! If you guys are interested the song I wanted to use was Theatrum - Anthony Waldhorn. It's a dance song BUT there is an awesome orchestral part around 2:18 I think it was. Check it out!
P.s Low-ish quality in the video because yet again it's just a test. If it was a real render I think I would still be rendering it this time next week...
As always I'd love feedback and would love to hear any ideas you guys have!
Peace
