  1. I'm hoping the success of Starfox 64 3D showed them that we much prefer a traditional rail/dogfight shooter to a reskinned watered down Zelda game or a mediocre 3rd person shooter.
  2. Honestly I can't think of any games in 2015 I'd want to preorder anyway, except maybe A Hat In Time and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. The new Zelda looks neat but I want to be sure it's not just gonna be a "here's a huge empty world where nothing happens" game, which I don't think it will be because Nintendo has a good track record on delivering on hype, but even so I'm cautiously optimistic. Technically I've already pre-ordered a 2015 game from back in 2013, the Homestuck point and click adventure game that was kickstarted, but other than that I'm playing it safe.
  3. I figure it should be easy to guestemate when something is supposed to happen on screen by your commentary if your commentary is related to the game, but that's only if the audio is just shifted. If it's not shifted and the video is somehow shorter than the audio, things are gonna be more difficult. Just look for where visual and audio cues sync up and evaluate it from there.
  4. Don't forget Yoshi Wooly World, Kirby Rainbow Curse, and splatoon. I'm hoping E3 will show us some more stuff though, especially for 3DS. I mean we have Monster Hunter 4 and Majoras Mask but I think we need a little more than that.
  5. PIxel art, sprite animation, character animation, and character illustration.
  6. It'll be the year of apologies. Lots of them. Most of them empty.
  7. With how bad the game is, I think we can all still agree 06 is worse. They're both bad in their own special ways, but if you remove Sonic Boom and treat it as it's own thing, it's a lack luster, confusing, boring, but generally mechanically functional platformer with passable visuals in some instances, whereas Sonic 06 was a constant assault on your joy and functionally incompetent in every way. 06 is only better in that it has more "so bad it's good" value.
  8. I wouldn't mind one myself. I've never played Monster Hunter but I've heard amazing things about it.
  9. Sounds good to me as long as it's not subscription based, though if they did have subscription I should hope they up the quality of their rewards.
  10. Well crap. I actually do really want Star Fox 64 on WiiU (I technically already own it on Wii so I could just transfer it) but the pro controller requirement really makes this dumb. Those things are 60 bucks a pop. Why can't I just use the gamepad?
  11. Completely agreed, though I don't know if this is the right forum to request this.
  12. This is one of those things where I was like "yeah, it'd be nice if they had a female character in this co-op game" but I took Ubisoft's word for it that it would take too long to create a whole new character with unique animations and such. Having read Koingaming's post though, I can see I was wrong. And look what we have here now. I'm happy they reconsidered to an extent, but if the character is made, then why have it be pre-order bonus? I guess this was their financial justification for putting more people into making the character, but it still kinda feels like they're tacking it on to appease people, and if it really was that easy to add her in, then this is just an attempt to grab money in the face of controversy. I mean, I guess it's better than nothing but it's kinda just lame now.
  13. It's all about the potential games that are coming up. Which one has the exclusive franchises you like? Xbox One (mostly shooters with a few off-the-wall possibilities) - Halo, Gears, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark maybe, Potential Rare IP games PS4 (shooters, Action/adventures, some platformers, some exclusive indie titles) - Uncharted, Killzone, Infamous, Rachet & Clank, Little Big Planet, Journey, Twisted Metal, maybe Jak & Daxter and other classic PS1 franchises. To be honest, Sony just has more franchises to pull from, so unless you'r a die-hard Halo or gears fan and/or have some sliver of hope that more Rare IPs will return in the future, PS4 seems like the place to be.
  14. Can I be honest here and say I don't see that much of a difference? The lighting effects and some of the textures look slightly nicer but TheWorse also adds a lot of color dithering that makes the whole game look less lively. I'll stick with the original for now.
  15. Definitely platformers, both 2D and 3D, with arcadey racing/sports games as a second (think Tony Hawk, Burnout, and Mario Kart)
