  1. MasterfulJoe101 liked a article by RuneX, Xbox Community "Report" - April 1st, 2019 - [April Fools 2019 - ARCHIVE]
This article was part of an April Fools Day 'prank' set up by the Xbox staff on April 1st, 2019. Believe nothing you read in this article. We're sorry if anyone actually believed any of this.
Greetings and thank you for checking our Xbox community article for this week. This is our way to report and share with you on whats going on with the AJSA in the Xbox community on a weekly basis. We'll have updates on current projects, upcoming activities, community content ranging from interviews to Youtube videos, and more. These articles will always contain a copy our Game Nights schedule for the week to keep folks informed about what titles we're featuring and supporting. We have plenty of news and updates for you today as we're covering all the new announcements, events, and some new promotions. Thank you and enjoy!
    Xbox Reports
    - Staff Promotions -
I'd like to take a quick moment to start off our article this week by recognizing these two hard working and dedicated individuals. I'm pleased to annouce their promotions to the Xbox team. These folks will be helping out with the day to day operations of the community. Please join me in giving them a very warm welcome.
QuickScoperXxXURXMOMX - We're proud to announce that QuickScoperxxxUrxMomx is being promoted to the position of Game Officer in the Xbox team. QuickScoper we feel is a fantastic fit to the team. We've only known him for a few days but we offered him the position of Game Officer after he told us his dad worked for Microsoft. Even though he has a Playstation 4, we believe him!!! No interview or training was required. Thank you and welcome QuickScoperxxxUrxMomx!
OUYAMaster2018 - OUYA is also joining the ranks of the Xbox team and is being promoted to the position of Game Officer. OUYA joined us a few weeks ago and has been very active during our Overwatch events. He has been joining our Overwatch Club parties and ranting incessantly how Overwatch sucks, is a noob game, is a clone of Team Fortress, and that Battleborn is way better. We appreciate such tenacity. His sort of attitude is what really holds up and builds community. He is being put in charge of our newly formed Battleborn Clan and will running Battleborn events right away. Thank you OUYA for accepting this position!
Tony - Tony holds the honor of being the youngest ever Game Officer in the history of the AJSA. Only born a few days ago, Tony is being promoted to the position of First Class General and he will leading our new eSports Division. He doesn't have an Xbox yet but his mom said he'll get one eventually. Lead us to victory, Tony!!!
    - Minecraft Realm Update -
Since we forgot to renew the subscription for the Minecraft Realm, Mojang shut down the server. We sadly didn't make a backup save of the world. It is unfortunate to report that everything we worked on for the past two years is now gone. I blame Garza.
    - Overwatch Support Announcement -
Due to overwhelming positive support of Overwatch these past few months, we have decided to abandon Overwatch as an official game on Xbox and have shut down all our upcoming Game Nights for the foreseeable future. You're having too much fun. Please stop. Get over yourself.
    - Battleborn Clan Support -
We are pleased to announce that with Overwatch being abandoned as an official game for the Xbox, we have selected Battleborn to step up and take the reigns as our premier hero shooter on Xbox. Long held down by Overwatch over the years, this is now Battleborn's time to shine. Newly appointed Game Officer OUYAMaster2018 has set up our new AJSA Clan on Battleborn and events will be starting right away this weekend. We only want super serious gamers who only care about K/D and Win/Loss ratios. Casual players who play "for fun", you need not apply.
    - Kountdown to Kombat Fight Nights Cancelled -
Thanks to the large amounts of rage quitting, broken controllers and use of lag switches during the Fight Nights these past two months, the Kountdown the Kombat series is being cancelled.
    - Fallout 76 Official Guild Announcement -
Due to the overwhelming negative response Fallout 76 has received since launch, we are very excited to announce that formation of our brand new Fallout 76 Guild and slate of events for the next month. Since the Kountdown to Kombat series has been cancelled, Sickshock is stepping up to lead our new adventure on Fallout 76. He has provided a brief outline of Guild rules and expectations that he wants everyone to follow going forward:
    FALLOUT 76 GUILD RULES
Sickshock is the GUILDMASTER of the Fallout 76 Guild. He must be addressed as GUILDMASTER SICK at all times. Regular activity checks will be conducted. If you have a life outside of games and don't play everyday, you will be kicked out of the Guild. If you don't attend all Fallout 76 events, you will be kicked out of the Guild. If you don't tell GUILDMASTER SICK how cool his armor looks, he will launch a mini nuke at you, and then kick you from the Guild. You MUST be over level 150 to join the Guild. If you are below level 150, you will be kicked. You MUST get a Todd Howard tattoo on your neck. If not.....you will be kicked. - April 2019 Event Schedule -

For the month of April 2019 we are offering these games as Xbox Game Nights. We are now offering PC and PS4 games in our lineup. In solidarity with our PC third cousin twice removed once added divided by zero step-brothers, we are offering Planetside 2!
For PS4, you'll be pleased to know we're offering multiplayer events with single player games like Order 1886 and Knack! We're just going to sit in a party and play by ourselves in awkward silence.
Hosts for these PS4 and PC games are undetermined at this time....we are setting up a Go Fund Me to raise cash to pay for PS4s and PCs to get our staff to host these games.

    Evolve - Game Night
    Friday April 5th - 1:00pm EST

So we're going to play a game or something like that this Friday. This thing is called 'Evolve' and it was a game that came out awhile ago. The online servers shut down like last year so we don't even know if online works anymore but we're going to give a shot anyway and waste your time. I think you can still do custom lobbies. If so only the host can be the monster. The monster must always win. Deal with it.

Hi all. Thanks for checking our Xbox community article for this week. If you're interesting in getting involved with us on Xbox I'd encourage you to check out our 'Xbox Community Guidebook' where you can get up to speed on what we're all about and how you can start playing with us. If you need help and/or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any member of the AJSA Xbox Staff for assistance.
    Xbox Reports
    - Division 2 Xbox Clan Information -
Our Xbox community clan for Division 2 has been established and all interested members who have the game who wish to become a part of the AJSA clan on Division 2 are invited to join as we get set up for our upcoming adventures in Washington DC. We have a complete informational guide for all members, old and new, who wish to enlist.
In a similar style to Destiny 2 for those who were part of our clan for that game, you'll be able to earn Clan XP to help level up the group and unlock perks for our Clan Quarters in the Base of Operations. It doesn't matter if you're a solo or group player, anything you do will contribute to the clan score.
Please be aware that the clan system in Division 2 is not something you can access immediately. You must complete the opening missions until you have access to the Theater Settlement and complete the Grand Washington Hotel mission. After this you must complete the Viewpoint Museum mission, which is unlocked after the Grand Washington Hotel, where you gain access to Grace Larson. You will then recruit here to the Base of Operations where she'll act as the Clan Officer and you'll have the ability to join clans.
We've been hard at work helping out as many members as we could with the Viewpoint Museum mission over launch weekend to get folks set up in the clan. If you need help completing the mission, please check out our clan guide and reach out to our clan admins.
This Saturday night on March 23rd we will be holding our inagural Game Night for Division 2 on Xbox. This will be a great chance to squad up, meet others, and ranking up your Agent in a group setting. Our Game Night schedule for this weekend, posted below in the article, will have more details with start times and hosts.
    - Kountdown to Kombat Fight Nights -
Our Fight Nights celebration here on Xbox One will continue with Brawlhalla, a free to play fighting game, this Sunday night. Brawlhalla is a relatively new fighting game on console with it coming to Xbox late last year. With a similar style to Super Smash Brothers, this game allows up to eight players to fight each other in free for all or work together in teams. Brawlhalla also has a very small install size with under 500MB, making it very managable for members who don't have a lot of hard drive space.
As Brawlhalla joins the ranks of our fight nights, this Sunday night will also represent the conclusion of 'Phase Two' of our Kountdown to Kombat series. Phase Two had an emphasis on free to play fighting games with titles such as Killer Instinct and Brawlhalla, two games with very different styles but sharing the common theme of being free to play.
Our third and final phase of Kountdown to Kombat will start in April where games such as Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat X, and Mortal Kombat 11 being featured to close out our first major community project for 2019. Thank you all for your support!
    - Spotlight Interview | First Edition: AwakeningRager -
Welcome to the First Edition of of the 'Spotlight Interview' series, a new Xbox initiative where members of the community will be featured and interviewed by me [Rune] about their history, their backround, personalities, and more. These Spotlight Interviews will be part of our Xbox articles going forward and we're looking forward to the feedback you give us on what you think of the interviews.
For our first Spotlight Interview we are showcasing one of the longest serving Game Officers and longstanding member of the Xbox One community, AwakeningRager. Known as Rager in short, he is our local Halo expert and connoisseur. Don't let his name (Rager) fool you. He is probably one of the most soft spoken people you'll ever meet. He also does a great Gollum expression from Lord of the Rings.
Rager first joined the AJSA back in January 2014 and became a Game Sergeant for the Xbox One staff in July 2015 as part of a new team that completely restructured and reorganized the Xbox community to what we know and love today. While quiet and soft spoken, his actions and track record undoubtedly speak for him. When he isn't leading Halo Game Nights, you'll often see him participating in other Game Nights, and setting up Club Parties during the week to squad up with members during the day.
I feel that for our first Spotlight Interview the honor should go to AwakeningRager and I hope everyone gets to see what he has to say. Thank you Rager for all your hard work, dedication, and friendship! You're one of the first people I came across when I first joined in September 2014. Amazing how far things have come. Enjoy:
    ---------------------------------
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from?
My name is AwakeningRager, I'm 24 years old, and I'm from Sweden. I recently graduated college and now work as an Assistant Nurse. For the AJSA I serve as an Officer on Xbox. I primarily oversee our Halo clans, recruitment, and events on Xbox while also helping out with other community activities and projects.
What are your earliest memories of gaming?
My earliest, and fondest memory, of gaming is my brother and I playing Super Mario on the Nintendo 64.
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do when you’re not gaming?
I enjoy working out, doing a mix of home exercises and walking/jogging. I played sports back in school and I used to take Karate Lessons, obtaining a brown belt before moving on to other activities. I also enjoy watching eSports tournaments and keeping up with gaming industry news.
How did you join the AJSA Gaming Community?
As a subscriber to Angry Joe I watch a lot of his Angry Reviews and content he puts out. Back in 2013 I saw he made a video promoting this new gaming community called the AJSA. This caught my interest, signed up on the forums and finally decided to join in January 2014.
At the time there wasn’t console events for Xbox or PS4, so as an Xbox gamer I mainly interacted with other community members via the forums. Towards the end of 2014, sometime after the console communities were established, is when I started actually gaming and playing with other members.
Do you remember what the first events you joined?
The first events I joined up on were for Halo: Master Chief Collection. I know, what a shock!!!!!
Apart from Halo, early on I also joined up and played during our Battlefield 4 events. Pretty much whatever game I had that we had events for I tried to go out to.
How did you get involved as a game organizer for Xbox?
I joined the Xbox One staff as a Sergeant in July 2015. This was shortly after Rune had came in to the position of Commander and I had approached him my ideas on how we could reorganize our Halo events. I really wanted to see our group head back to Halo again and bring people together. We were not doing anything with Halo at the time. I felt us not doing anything with Halo was a wasted opportunity. Rune felt the same and that is where our working relationship began and my road as an organizer started in this new administration.
We started outlining goals, objectives, and plans to re-introduce Halo back into the fold for Xbox. It was part of a larger plan to completely reorganize how events were structured and community itself was to be operated. Lots of things changed when Rune came in and I worked with him along with the team to get things done. That Summer was really a transformative time for us on Xbox and I’m glad to be have been a part of it.
Halo events started back up in August and the response from the community was awesome. We wiped the slate clean and started fresh, using the early events to reintroduce everyone to the game and letting people know we were serious about long term Halo support. I started hosting events on Sunday afternoons during the Summer leading into the Fall. I ran Halo: Master Chief Collections events all the way up to October when we transitioned to Halo 5: Guardians. During this time I also acted as the point of contact for EU members on Xbox. This was a way to make European members feel more welcome in the group.
When we were in transition to Halo 5: Guardians I was promoted to Game Officer and was tasked with organizing the transition to Halo 5 and setting up clan support. This when we created the Spartan Company and all that. This was the first major new, triple AAA game for this relatively new staff, and was a big test for us. I’m pleased to say it all worked out and we ran events for Halo 5 well into 2017. We had events pretty much every Saturday night. Even for awhile we ran events alongside Overwatch.
All these efforts I believe we did early on opened up the doors for a lot different opportunities for us down the road. We had crazy fun, the members rocked the house, and we still run Halo: Master Chief Collection events to this day.
Why did you decide to get involved in organizing? Did you have any prior experience with clan organizing?
Halo is one of my favorite game genres to watch and play both casually and competitively. I had a strong passion for the series and I wanted to get involved more in the community so I felt the two were a natural match. I really hoped that Halo could be a game that we could support and bringing people together to play and have a good time.
Whenever we did Halo events prior to that Summer when I became Sergeant, I was always there. I always offered ideas, suggestions, opinions etc. I kept faith and in the end it all worked out.
With prior clan organizing experience, I never really got involved in organizing before the AJSA so no I did not have any prior experience. I learned by trial and error, working with a solid team, had a great group of people to play with, and all that combined help mold my style.
What is some advice you can give to up and coming game organizers?
My advice is to create, build upon, and sustain relationships with people. You need to establish some sort of bond between you and the people you’re playing with. If you expect people to just show up because you made a forum post, you may find yourself in trouble. People want to know who, and what, they’re dealing with. Keep that in mind when advertising and recruiting for your game.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with things like different game modes to see what works and doesn’t work. What sort of modes does your group like to play? What do people find fun? Get as much feedback as you can.
Also don’t feel that if you fail once that is over for you. Maybe you run an event and no one shows up. If anything take that as a challenge, see what you need to change.
Any favorite moments that stand out during your time in the community?
One moment that stands out to me in particular is when we were doing a Gears of War 4 event and we were playing Horde Mode. It was one of the craziest and funniest times I had on that game. We were up until like 6am in the morning trying to finish. We spent all our money and couldn’t upgrade or build any sort of defense so we were really in a bad spot. I don’t remember if we won or lost as I think I passed out but it was just so whacky and fun.
The custom games we did on Halo 5 were really fun and one of the main highlights of our history there. For some events we'd have people share their own custom modes and we'd all try it together. I'd also go through the custom games browser and download maps/matches for us to try. There was this one Infection map where we were in anbandoned subway station and we all had to run down this hallway to get to an elevator to escape before the zombies got us. It was just hilarious.
Then there is just so many other moments that would be impossible for me to completely list. Overwatch custom games throughout the years, Battlefield 4, Gears, Anniversary weeks and special events etc. I'm happy I got to play with cool people and had a good time.
You’re one of the longest serving Game Officers in the community. What motivates you?
To be an Officer in the community its to go above and beyond. It goes beyond just hosting a Game Night for your favorite title. It is also a responsibility to manage and direct community members to keep spirits calm, motivated and excited to play together and have fun with the game no matter the opposition we face.
What are some things that have changed about the AJSA since you first joined?
Well when I first joined there wasn’t any console organization. It was just PC. It was really a big step for everyone when the console communities first started out. Things really picked up for us in 2015 and we have not looked back since. All the changes I think we did worked out for the better.
What is your favorite Halo game and why?
My favorite game of the series is Halo 3. I enjoy the slow paced, tactical teamwork oriented gameplay. The shooting mechanics are and unique additions really enhance the experience for me.
It also had a great story that was interesting to follow and understand. The multiplayer kept both casual and competitive players invested for a long time. I believe there is where Halo was in its prime and I hope we that that day again come soon, hopefully with Halo Infinite.
What other games do you enjoy?
I enjoy playing other first person and third person shooter games like Call of Duty, Gears of War, Battlefront, Overwatch, and DOOM. For RPGs I really like Dragon Age and Star Wars classics like Force Unleashed and Knights of the Old Republic.
Explain the origins of your Gamertag, AwakeningRager. What does it mean?
I got the name Awakeningrager after I was playing all Dragon Age games like DAO Origins and its respective DLCS including DAO Awakening Expansion. The Rager part of my gamertag has do do with me bringing out my inner "Rage” to help me motivate to try to do better and be the best player I can be depending on the situation in the game. I think of it as ‘Hulking Up’!!! After that...my Swedish fury is unleashed upon the enemy!
What are your plans for the future?
I hope to get my own place like an apartment. I want to learn as much as I can from this new profession IRL and about healthcare services. Keeping up with my excercise routines and balancing out all my hobbies.
If there was one thing you wanted people to now about you, what do you want them to know?
Hmmm well.....you see I have a special kind of talent. A unique ability.
I have the power of "Speedreading". I can read something realy, really fast and I can understand everything what I'm reading quickly. Helps me to keep up to date with all the notes Rune makes me read!!!!
    ---------------------------------
Thank you once again AwakeningRager for taking part in our first Spotlight Interview!
Weekend Game Night Schedule - March 23rd & March 24th

We also encourage you to join the community Xbox Club (all hosts can be found in the Club roster as well). We use the Club for a variety of purposes to unite members of the community and play together. As an extra reminder for new members, please make sure to review our Code of Conduct.
To learn more about the AJSA on Xbox One, visit out our Community Information thread.
For Game Nights and other community activities we use the 'Xbox Live Party' that are created from the Club for communication, gatherings, and other purposes. In the case of an emergency where Xbox Live is down and we need to group up, we will use the AJSA Discord channel as a backup. In our parties we fully accept and make adjustments for people who are shy in groups and/or for people who have no mics.
If by chance you do not have a Game Night host on your friend list, please message the host for an invite to the game/party during the Game Night and then exchange friend requests upon entry to the party. All Game Night parties will be visible to Xbox Club members under the "Looking for Group" section. You can join the party via the Club or through the profile of the host.
If you would like to give advance notice to the host that you would like to participate in a particular Game Night, you are free to do so. If you have any questions, please reach out to any members of the AJSA Xbox One staff and we will be happy to assist you.
All Game Nights are casual gatherings aimed at bringing people together to have a good time and enjoy their games in a group setting.

    Brawlhalla - Fight Night
    Sunday March 24th - 7:00pm EST [12:00am GMT]

Our epic celebration of fighting games, Kountdown to Kombat, continues this Sunday night as we venture to a relatively new fighting game on the scene called Brawlhalla! This free to play fighter, with a similar style to Super Smash Brothers, will join the ranks of our Fight Night series as we gather to play and try out the game for the first time as a group. 5 years ago I joined the AJSA as a member much like the majority of you reading this. I had just gotten a PS4 right at its release. A lot of my friends didn’t jump on board right away, and who could blame them it was still a pricey investment. So I had no one to play with, figure I give a gaming community a try, what could go wrong! Joined on the site, became invested with the forums, and found other people looking for others to play games with. I discovered we could make a crude chatroom system with the PS4 messaging feature, and began to bring all kinds of AJSA members into it. That’s where it all started, a single man with a selfish want to have people to play with.
If I could go back and tell myself all of the things I did in the past 5 years. That he would be a Game Officer, and soon a Commander that represents the PS4. That he would grow to think of these people on the PS4 as friends and family. That he get to run an event series that went on for 4 years. He laugh, he wouldn’t believe it, and hell that’s not even the half of it. But I think he would be proud, that his selfish want helped others out in a strange way.
I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. Commanders, Game Officers, members, some of my Team over the years. But I stuck around, because I enjoyed the little life we built on the PS4 side. I was told once “Stick you’ll be here till the end at this rate. You’ll out exist ever Commander, watch all the Officers step away, and even see decay before your eyes. At this rate you’ll be the last man standing.” At the time it was a funny joke, born from my determine nature to have the last word. But as the years went on that “joke” got too real for me, and I got tired.
I don’t know what the future holds. I never been good at predicting it. But I know one thing, as long as someone has one crazy idea others will follow. Like the late Stan Lee said “You know, I guess one person can make a difference.” From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone. I know I’ve helped others over the past years, but really you all help save me.
It’s never goodbye, oh no it’s!...
    See you later. - WithaStick

Hello and welcome. A greater part of this week on Xbox will be spent traveling back in time! Not only are we re-visiting the original Halo 3 via backward compatibility but we are also returning to Metal Gear Solid V and Destiny 2, two games that have been long absent from our event schedule. Metal Gear will be free with 'Games with Gold' starting this Wednesday so we're holding a special event this Friday night (conveniently as part of our 'Free to Play' weekly series). Great opportunity to experience this game as a group. Then with Destiny 2 we are checking out first hand the latest 'Warmind' expansion and see if any of the changes Bungie put out for the game over the past few months has made things better or worse. Have a great week! Cya at the events.

    Featured Game Nights [May 16th & 20th]
Xbox Game Nights were introduced back in January of this year. These are local AJSA Xbox Club activities that are normally held during days where we have no events scheduled. These organized play sessions are structured to be more loose and laidback, creating more opportunities for us as a community to reach out to more games and play even more with each other.
For additional information on Game Nights/Weekly Events, check out our Xbox Community Information thread.

How Can I Join An Xbox One Event? - For new members/first time event participants, I highly encourage you to add all the hosts as your friend on Xbox Live (Gamertags are listed for every host below). You can also join the AJSA Xbox Club and add hosts/members there. All event and game night parties are launched from the Club. Additionally, please review our Code of Conduct.
Communication during events are done primarily in the Xbox Live Party system. In case of emergency, we will use the AJSA Discord Channel. We accept and make adjustments for people who are shy in large groups and/or for people who have no mics.

  8. MasterfulJoe101 liked a article by Legolas_Katarn, AJSA Code of Conduct Updated
The AJSA Code of Conduct has been updated. The new version of the CoC has been given better organization, clarifications, additional points that we have had to address or that we were asked about over the years, better stated goals of what we want to create with the community, and it is now all contained in one thread instead of two. If you are a new or old member please look through it so you understand our policies.
    -
The AJSA Community was created as a way to organize and bring together both fans of Joe and those who are looking for a community where they can play and talk about games. It is not a problem if you do not watch Joe's content, we will still be happy to have you as a member. Currently, the AJSA consists of this website, the AJSA Discord, our Youtube channel, official clans and groups in a variety of PC games, and our active PS4 and Xbox One communities.
In order to stay a member you must abide by the following rules, which will apply in all the previously mentioned areas, and anywhere you are representing the AJSA. Members will be expected to maintain a mature and respectful attitude as your behavior fosters our reputation.
    Harassment and Discrimination
The AJSA will not tolerate any form of discrimination, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or harassment towards anyone. Members will respect others of any race, sexuality, gender identity and expression, nationality, religion, age, profession, gaming ability, and community rank and will refrain from insulting anyone as having physical disabilities or mental disorders. Failure to do so will lead to you either being suspended or, more often, permanently removed from the community. Offensive stereotypes and generalizations towards the communities, countries, or organizations of others will result in moderation action against you. Making unwanted or random sexual or suggestive comments towards other members will lead to moderation. Do not share or repeat phrases, actions, icons, or memes that have been created by or that have obviously been co-opted by harassment or hate groups, doing so can see you removed from the community. Creating or sharing content made with an intent to lead to harassment of others will lead to moderation. Creating or sharing baseless or obviously incorrect slanderous content will see the content removed and will likely result in moderation or removal from the community. Attempting to start fights or to use the AJSA as your own personal army to attack other communities or individuals will lead to your removal from the AJSA. Threatening others will lead to your removal from the community. Sharing videos or articles from people and websites who frequently engage in any of the above will lead to the content being removed and moderation action against you if the shared piece of content included any of the above. If you are representing the AJSA (have AJSA tags or an AJSA avatar, are a ranking member of the community, a member of our Stream Team, are sharing our content or event news, or are telling people you are a member) on social media, a different forum or Discord, Youtube, Twitch, etc and you are taking any of the above you will face moderation and may be removed.
If ever you are subject to personal abuse by another AJSA member in the form of a personal message you are able to add a Moderator or Admin to the conversation, this will allow them to see what was said by both sides. We encourage you to do this as we take our members being subject to abuse very seriously. If someone is harassing you on the forums or AJSA Discord report it to a moderator or admin, do not retaliate.
Attempts to create a hostile and unwelcoming environment within the community will see you removed from the community. The Angry part of the name does not need to be taken literally, we are here so people can enjoy games and to talk and learn about them, not to be overly aggressive or perpetually outraged about them.
    Disallowed Content
Illegal Content: We do not allow the posting of illegal content. This can include linking people to places where they can pirate games, posting links to full movies, telling people where to download roms or bios files for emulators, asking about the use of or how to acquire drugs, etc. Admitting to video game (or any other media) piracy is not allowed, apart from the legality, it could negatively affect the reputation of Joe and other community members that actively work and interact with developers and publishers. Posing illegal content or admitting to illegal activities can lead to your removal from the community. Discussing the concept of piracy and the ways that it has either positively or negatively effected the industry is allowed, the above rules apply in those discussions. Partaking in or attempting to justify piracy in an area that has no need for it because you thought a company was mean or that their games were bad is not going to go over well with moderators or admin.
Pornographic Content: We do not allow the posting of pornographic material, real or animated, on our forums, nor do we allow links to porn to be posted. We do not allow linking to content on a site with primarily pornographic content and advertising, even if the content that you wanted to link does not directly contain any (don't link to that funny video if it is hosted on pornhub). Discussion of sexual content in games is allowed, as is linking to something like a video game bundle deal that includes games with adult content is also allowed, just mark any such links as being NSFW (not safe for work).
Real World Violence/Triggering Content: We do not allow posts that contain bloody or graphic real world violence or content that can be sensitive to certain viewers. Do not post anything containing real world shootings, stabbings, racist tirades, abuse, sexual harassment or assault, graphic injuries, etc. Do not post random images or videos with rapidly changing images or patterns that may trigger epileptic seizures. Warnings can vary depending on what you posted.
Religion and Politics: Do not create threads about religion or politics, exceptions can be made if it directly relates to a game being discussed or the game industry (Here's how A Mind Ever Voyaging was one of the first games to address political issues/How that Dragon Cancer addresses faith = Fine). Posting a thread about religion or politics will likely result in a warning but offensive statements and content aimed at an entire religion, group, or attempting to treat the morality, lived experiences of, or existence of people as a political debate subject will fall under harassment and discrimination and will likely lead to you being removed from the community or lead to a harsher punishment.
Advertising: We do not allow members to attempt to sell things on the forums. We have no way to verify if someone actually has a product, what condition it is in, if the seller will actually send it, if the buyer receives it, if the buyer will pay for it and not try to do a charge back, etc. Threads attempting to sell something will be removed, if you sell something in private and it doesn't work out we don't want to hear about it. Any account linking to gold farming websites for MMOs or EA Sports currency will be banned, they are also likely bots and the links should not be clicked on. Accounts that join just to promote a product, link to a survey, ask for money, or link to another community to join will be banned (there is an exception for accounts sharing video game crowd funding projects in the appropriate section of the forums). If you are someone who creates content and you have something like a Patreon, you are free to link that in your forum signature or in the community content sections of the forums.
Languages: We require that everyone write in English on the forums and in our Discord, both because posting in another language is unlikely to lead to many people understanding what you said and because admin and moderators need to understand what you are saying or linking people to. Obviously, we don't expect everyone to have perfect grammar and to spell everything correctly all the time, but if a post has so many mistakes that it is nonsensical it will likely be removed.
Alt Accounts: Alternate accounts will be banned and users who create them risk the banning of their primary accounts and any other accounts found to be associated with them. If you are having trouble with your primary account and are unable to access it please contact a moderator on the Discord or create a new account and immediately let a moderator know that you are using the new account to contact them for help. Once you have received help with your primary account and are able to access it again the secondary account will be deleted.
Usernames and Avatars: Do not create a username or upload an avatar that breaks any of the CoC rules or includes profanity, this applies to the forums, Discord, and while playing games.
    Forum and Discord Rules
Trolling: Treat other members with respect. Do not post flame-bait or personal attacks, attempt to derail another member's thread, or post in game or console specific threads just to complain about the gaming preferences or hardware of other members. You can be a member of the AJSA even if you don't watch or like the content that Joe creates, but joining for the sole purpose of creating threads or going into existing ones to complain about him will see you removed from the community, this also applies to people that are doing nothing but complaining about the AJSA. Attempts at gaslighting (pretending like you didn't say something you obviously did, that your obvious intent was misunderstood, making an attempt to accuse other people of doing the thing you did, etc) either to try to cover your actions up, confuse people, or to try to get people to respond aggressively towards you will lead to moderation. Attempting to bring previous fights or grievances into new threads will lead to moderation. We don't mind some minor ribbing between members that know each other but unless moderators/admin are familiar with the people involved it can be easy to mistake it for trolling if it starts to go too far.
Drama: Intentionally trying to cause trouble and create dissent is not allowed, problems can be privately discussed with AJSA Admin. Officers going on power trips will see them removed from a position of power. Do not create threads to complain about another member of the community. Attempts at grandstanding by creating "goodbye threads" when something upsets you will result in your account being banned, if you have a legitimate reason for leaving there is nothing wrong with letting people know but if you try to make a spectacle of it or convince people to go with you we will help you find your way out.
Spam: Do not bump threads just to get them to the top of the list. Do not post in discussion threads that are over a month old to bring them back from the dead (if months or years have passed and you want to talk about it again just start a new topic on the subject). Do not create chat threads (chatting can easily be done in our Discord or through private messages). Do not quote reply to massive amounts of text and images or quote chain to the point that your posts start taking up huge portions of a thread page. Do not make double posts shortly after your previous one as a form of editing or to quote and respond to multiple people, an edit button can be found at the bottom of each of your post and you can change or add to your post as needed. If you have found new information about something and some time has passed then you can make multiple posts in a row in the same thread.
Language: We allow swearing within reason but try to keep it to a minimum, we have people that just want an environment where they can relax and unwind while talking about and playing games. If you create an entire post that is next to nothing but swearing, are constantly swearing in chat rooms, or are raging at a video game the community is playing and are making it difficult for other to enjoy themselves you will be asked to tone it down or you will be removed from the game. Profanity directed at other members can result in a warning.
Thread Creation: Use the search feature to check to see if a thread with the same subject matter as the one you want to post has already been created, or at least do a quick look through the recent topics, duplicate threads are frequently created only a few posts or hours apart. Do not create threads with profanity in the title, with misleading titles, or ones with no discussion or informational value.
Personal Information: Do not share the contents of private messages with other members, if you receive a message that is breaking the CoC, harassing you, etc let a moderator or appropriate admin know. Do not post the private information of other members, breaking either of these rules can result in moderation or removal from the AJSA.
Impersonation: Do not attempt to impersonate another member of the community, either by creating an account with a similar name or by quoting a post and changing the text to make it look like something else was said in a way that is clearly malicious.
Source Content: If you are posting the work of someone else please post a source if one is obviously available (don't copy and paste an entire article instead of just linking to the site or person that wrote it), attempting to pass the work of others off as your own can lead to removal from the community.
Etiquette: Do not participate in flame wars or post in threads that are clearly against the rules. If you see something against the CoC just report it and move on, drawing more attention to things that are clearly against the rules can lead to you getting in trouble as well. Liking posts that are clearly against the CoC may lead to you sharing the warning or punishment of the original poster. Do not post spoilers for a recently released video game or movie in the title of a thread and if you wish to discuss spoilers on our Discord use the appropriate chat room (spoilers_chat), if you are in a thread about a game or movie that won't obviously include spoilers based on the title then use the spoiler button (the eye icon in between the quote and emoticon button) so that your text is not immediately visible. When you join Discord you should have your account automatically set to move you into the AFK channel if you are in a voice channel without speaking for 10 minutes, please keep that on so that a game officer or moderator doesn't have to move you from channels if you accidentally remain in an active voice channel when you are away.
    In-Game Behavior
Cheating and Glitching: If you are playing against human opponents the AJSA absolutely does not allow cheating, third-party tools, or glitches to be used to win games. In addition to ruining the game for others, it damages the AJSA's reputation and will result in you being removed from the community.
Language/Raging: As was previously mentioned, try to keep it to a minimum. Constantly swearing to the extent that you are ruining the mood of other players or becoming hostile to others can lead to your membership or ability to participate in game events being reconsidered. Rage quitting can also lead to your membership being reconsidered. No personal attacks or offensive “shit talking” to our opposition, competitiveness is fine but keep it friendly, trying to starts fights with other people will see you removed from the game and possibly the AJSA.
Guilds/Clans/MMOs: Many games limit the number of members that can be part of a guild (or the game's guild equivalent), therefore it might be necessary for us to remove inactive members to make room for new players. If you were removed from a guild for this reason, it is nothing against you, it is just something that needs to be done sometimes to make room for new active recruits. If you are part of a group that has these limitations and you plan to stop playing the game please let the guild leader know and leave the group to make room for new people, if you plan to return at a later date they will try to add you to the group again by replacing other inactive members.
Represent the AJSA well by playing fair and having respect for the opposition, your team, and yourself. Help new players to get used to games or to get involved in the community and work well with the people you meet that aren't part of the AJSA to give people a positive impression of us. A better reputation in games will lead to a better and more respected community that will be easier to recruit for.
    Admin and Moderation Team
Member must respect the decisions of AJSA admin (Council and Commanders) and moderators (General, Discord, and Twitch). If you disagree with something they have said or done you can privately contact them, making your problems with them public or insulting them on the website, Discord, during game events, or within the PS4 Rooms will only add to previous punishments or cause one to be issued. The admin and moderator rank is clearly listed on the forums and their role clearly listed on the Discord, obvious attempting to block their private messages to you when they are attempting to warn you about recent CoC breaking behavior will likely result in your removal from the community. You may receive a verbal warning in the form of a private message about a specific incident or trend of behavior, these verbal warnings should be respected the same as one through the warning system, to ignore a verbal warning can lead to harsher punitive action.
Admin are able to curate the community as they see fit and reserve the right to remove content that, while not specifically mentioned by name in the CoC, has a history of or is currently used in a way that either breaks other rules listed here, would lead to the kind of membership that we want to avoid, or that would lead to the community having a bad reputation.
Immediate Bans: AJSA staff have the right to immediately ban members caught cheating, spamming the forums with advertisements, posting pornography or hate speech, harming the AJSA’s reputation, issuing death or rape threats, or displaying other extremely aggressive behavior. If violating your local law’s the AJSA may cooperate with authorities in an appropriate manner to resolve.
Appeals: There are higher up members to contact if you are having an issue with moderators or admin. If you are having a problem with the moderation team on the forums or Discord you can contact Legolas_Katarn, if you are having a problem with PS4 staff you can contact WITHASTICK, if you are having a problem with Xbox One staff you can contact RuneX, if you are having a problem with someone running PC events you can contact Conan or Eiousx, if you are having a problem with a Commander you can contact another Commander if the problem area falls under their job description or you can contact Council members DoctorEvil or Tons0fun. If a warning or punitive action was found to be a mistake, or was not justly issued, the punishment will be over-turned and the warning removed, if someone was found to have acted inappropriately the situation will be dealt with by whoever is in charge of that area. Acting hostile and insulting staff members during these appeals or showing no understanding of why an obvious rule is in place can lead to further actions taken against your account. Things that can lead to strong penalties against your account tend to be pretty obvious rules found in most every functional community, if your messages to us show a complete lack of self awareness, empathy, inability to understand why certain rules are in place, or some weird reactionary "debate me bro logic" your membership will likely be reconsidered. Appeals are for mistakes or misuse of power not for arguing against rules you don't like. Joe is not an appropriate person to file complaints with.
    The “Angry Joe” Policy
If the sole reason for you joining this community is to “talk to”, “play with”, or “get personal time” with Joe, please DO NOT APPLY. It is possible to run into him in a game, on the website, or on the Discord, but do not be offended if he declines your friend request, game invite, etc. If Joe does join the community for an event, please conduct yourself in a civil and respectful way when interacting with him.

    News and Highlights
First I want to thank everyone who came out to the Xbox events in June, it was a ton of fun. Really excited to see us pumped up and ready to play during the summer. Last month was just the start and we're not looking to stop anytime soon. In July, the AJSA Xbox One Division is rolling out several new initiatives aimed at showcasing new event series and strengthening our existing supported titles. In this article we will highlight the projects we have lined up, as well as providing updates on the status of some games in our schedule this week. Enjoy!
Xbox One Gamertag List - After a very long time on the sidelines, the Xbox One Gamertag List is returning new and improved. Now you can easily post your own Gamertag and view Gamertags other Angry Army members right off the bat. This is an easy and effective way for you to meet new friends in the Xbox One Division. Adding your Gamertag to this list is also a good first step to get yourself involved in the community. Feel free to share your Gamertag and games you list you play here.
Gigantic - This Saturday night we will be holding a special event for Gigantic. We're taking a week break from Overwatch to do squad up and play this free to play third-person MOBA. Gigantic focuses on team based combat with 'Heroes' (each Hero has their own style and set of abilities) going up against each other. Each team has a 'Guardian' (a "gigantic" magical creature) and you must protect your Guardian while trying to take down the enemy Heroes and their own Guardian.
Gigantic is available to download and play from the Xbox Store. Simply look in the 'Free Games' category to find it. This event I'm sure will be very exciting and I look forward see the AJSA group up and tackle this game together. Event and host details are included in further down this article.
'Flashback' Events Every Tuesday - Starting this Tuesday, we will be starting a new event series for July here in the Xbox One Division. Every Tuesday night this month we will be featuring an Xbox 360 game available through the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program. As a community, we can get to experience these games together when in the past we may have missed out playing multiplayer on some of these games, didn't have a large group to play with, or simply didn't have the game.
For the past few months we've dabbled with some Backward Compatible titles as events such as Battlefield 3, Black Ops II, and Halo: Reach but we're going to put more focus and scheduling more of these sort of events in July.
Additionally, what's also awesome about this initiative is that if there are any brothers and sisters of the Angry Army who still play on the Xbox 360 and have the games that we are playing during these events, you can participate! We can access the Xbox 360 servers when playing via backward compatbility, meaning as long as we have your Gamertag...we can add and invite you to our game lobby! Need more details? Don't hesitate to message me on the forums!
'Old School' Events Every Sunday - While on Tuesday nights we go back in time to revisit old Xbox 360 titles, on Sundays we go back and play some games that helped define and shape the Xbox One Division over the years. Similar to the Flashback events, every Sunday we feature a different game from our past. We kicked off this series with Halo: Master Chief Collection last night and we'll continue on with Battlefield 4 on this coming Sunday.
Halo: Master Chief Collection events back in the Summer of 2015 reinvigorated our 'Angry' Halo playerbase and helped the lay the foundation for us to enter Halo 5, a game that we would then hold weekly events for over a solid year. Battlefield 4 still stands today as our longest running weekly event in the Xbox One Division, starting in April 2015 and ending in November 2016. We had a great turnout for MCC last night and I expect nothing different for Battlefield 4. Hope to cya there.
Destiny Update - In July we are taking a month-long break from Destiny events here on Xbox. Stay tuned for our activities and events for August, which will be our last full month of Destiny events. Destiny remains an important game in our Divison's history and in August we have many great things planned to honor our past, close out our current operations, and move over to the sequel. We'll continue to post updates as the weeks go on. Interested in Destiny 2 information? Check out this thread created by our Destiny Sergeant on Xbox, MasterfulJoe.
Battlefield 1 + Overwatch - Our two biggest games in the Xbox Division will be featured throughout July, with consistent Friday and Saturday night events respectively. Apart from this Saturday night, and July 29th, Overwatch is slated for Saturdays for the rest of the month. On Battlefield 1 we're looking forward to a new map that is going to dropping sometime this month, hopefully sooner rather than later. Also I'm very impressed with the squad work and communications from our members while playing during the events.
    AJSA Gaming Youtube
Xbox One Events - Halo: Reach - June 25th, 2017 - We're happy to share with you highlights our night of gaming and fun on Halo: Reach! Enjoy.
If you are passionate about the community, like to make videos and record during events, you are absolutely welcome to create videos such as this shown above and share them with all your fellow AJSA members in the Community Content section of the forums! You can also contact Jayson's Rage and coordinate with him to get footage from your events on the channel.
AJSA Xbox One Weekly Event Schedule [July 11th to July 16th]
How Can I Join An Xbox One Event? - For new members/first time event participants, I highly encourage you to add all the hosts as your friend on Xbox Live (Gamertags are listed for every host below). You can also join the AJSA Xbox Club and add hosts/members there.
All Xbox Live event parties are open and participants can join freely without restriction. Communication is done primarily in the Xbox Live Party system. We accept and make adjustments for people who are shy in large groups and/or for people who have no mics.
If you do not have the host as a friend, please message the host for an invite to the game/party during the event and then exchange friend requests upon entry to the party.
If you would like to give advance notice to the host that you would like to play, you are free to do so. Otherwise keep note of the event start times and join the host's Xbox Live party to begin. If you have any questions, please contact me directly at "RuneX" on the forums or on Xbox Live.
    --------------------
Halo: Reach - Xbox One Event - Tues. July 11th, 2017 @7:00pm EST (12:00am GMT)

    'Flashback' Event [Xbox Backward Compatibility]
As part of our new Tuesday event series in July, the Xbox One Division will be featuring a different Xbox 360 game part of Backward Compatibility every Tuesday in an event form. This week, to start off the series, we are showcasing Halo: Reach, an Xbox 360 classic. This will be a fun opportunity for members to relive old memories or experience this game for the first time in a group.
We will gather all participants into one Xbox Live Party, provided by the host, and from there we will designate group activities and form squads. Activities will range from online multiplayer and custom games. Contact the host (info provided below) if you want extra info about the upcoming event.
For participants playing from their Xbox 360: Please add the hosts to your friends list on your 360 and please send a message letting the host know you want an invite to our game session during the event.

    Commander's Report
Welcome to the biggest party of the year! During the week of November 14th we come together to celebrate the founding of the AJSA and unite gamers across the community to commemorate this occasion. On both PC and console, there will be celebratory activities planned for members to engage in and play with each other. This will be a time we reflect on the past, build on the present, and look towards the future.
Within the AJSA Xbox One Division we have a full week of gaming festivities planned to observe and honor the founding of the AJSA. We will have a scheduled event every single day out of the Anniversary week. No matter what day it is, there will be an AJSA activity happening on Xbox One. The games you will see slated for the Xbox One Anniversary event week represent the old [Elder Scrolls Online, Mortal Kombat X], the present [Destiny, Minecraft, Overwatch] and the future [Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2].
    Enjoy!
    News & Highlights
Xbox Club for the AJSA Announcement - In November 2016 the long awaited 'Xbox Clubs' feature was released for Xbox One console owners. Clubs are online communities on Xbox One where people can gather together to play and socialize. It is a great way for folks to come together to talk, find like-minded individuals to game with, and helping bring gaming communities like ours closer together.
Our Xbox Club name is "Official AJSA Xbox One Community". Click here for instructions on how to join.
Not only will we have our main AJSA Discord channel and the forums to communicate, the Clubs system will make it easier for members to find and game with fellow members in a more efficient fashion on a local level.
The AJSA Club on Xbox One also has a built in chat system (similar to Discord) and 'Looking for Group' system. Members will also have the ability to view their fellow members online status and see what game they're playing without having to sort through their own friends list.
Xbox One - AJSA 3rd Year Anniversary Raffle Details
Every AJSA member who participates in the events scheduled for the Anniversary week on the Xbox One will be entered into a raffle. The more events you participate in, the more times your name gets entered into the raffle, and you increase your chances to win.
The raffle will be a free digital game up to $60 determined by the winner. The winner will determined randomly. After the random winner is selected, they will be contacted privately by me [Rune] and then the winner will be announced publicly.
Additionally each event on Xbox One will have an associated challenge, called a "Contract", which event participants can complete. Every contract you complete will also enter your name into the raffle. You can complete these Contracts voluntarily. These Contracts can range from getting a certain amount of points in a game to eliminating the host in a certain fashion or working together with your AJSA squad to overcome an obstacle.
For games such as Destiny and Elder Scrolls Online, we include a PvE and PvP Contract. With events that list two Contracts, only one Contract completion will be counted towards the raffle.
    In summary:
Every AJSA participant will be entered into the raffle. The more events you attend, the more times your name gets entered into the raffle. Every event will have one or two Contracts. These Contracts are challenges that members can voluntarily complete. If there is an event with two Contracts, only one completed Contract will be counted. The host, along with members of the Xbox One staff, will be keep track of all event attendance and will keep note of members completing Contracts. The winner of the raffle will win a free digital game up to $60 of their choice. The winner will be approached by the Xbox One Commander and then the winner will be announced publicly. All the events will be recorded. Footage from each event will be compiled into an Anniversary Event Video for the AJSA Gaming YouTube Channel.
Otherwise keep note of the event start times and join the host's party. If you have any questions, please contact me directly at "RuneX" on the forums or on Xbox Live.

No Man’s Sky takes a fantasy that many of us all share, exploring a universe freely and venture to discover; Galaxies, systems, planets, geographical wonders, creatures, aliens, items, ships, space stations, space battles, and more. You can venture from any mountain you see on a planet, to any star in the sky you spot in the entire universe. That’s the beauty of it, sure there is shooting and destruction. But for the first time in a long time we are being given a chance in a game to explore space. Just as we imagine it when we were children, to even right now whenever we see a beautiful star lit night sky. You’re the navigator of your own dreams, placed in a ocean of endless expanding stars.

Challenge: Discover something/anything new first and claim it (Galaxies, systems, planets, creatures, etc). Take a screenshot and share your discovery to the community (possibly share of a story about what you've discovered fictional or nonfictional).
