PC Special Operation #1: Planetside 2

When: Saturday, March 11th, 2017, Operation will commence at 6PM EST/3pm PST (Saturday, 11pm GMT for EU)

    Where: EMERALD Server, AJSA Discord

    Faction: Terran Republic

How: Platoon and Squad Leaders will create specific Squad Channels in the Discord however it’s more likely we will all stay lumped together in the same channel. Join the Discord, so you can hear your Platoon/Squad Leader!

What: 2 years ago the AJSA left Planetside 2 for greater prospects, March 11th we will return to surface of Auraxis, ready for a fight, and back with a vengeance!

    Event Outline:
    Kick-off Phase:  Extended operation
This is an Extended op, meaning it will last as long as players wish to continue playing, as such, a large kick off phase won’t happen but a few smaller ones will across the operation, what will happen and when is to be determined during the operation.

    Combat Phase:
We will break off to our platoon and squad assignments. If an Alert has started, we will play the objectives of the alert, otherwise, we will go to hot spots or where we are needed (changing continents if called for).

    AJSA Event MVP

Officers and Sergeants will be on the lookout for the player who best exemplifies the AJSA during this event. This means players who not only demonstrate skill on the battlefield, but are great team members as well. A player who meets those high standards for this event will receive the AJSA Champion Award to adorn their forum profile!

I have waited long for this day...

You know, I remember the canceled Star Wars Imperial Commando game as well. The story was suppose to focus around the remaining members of Delta and squad and Sev being placed on the other side of the conflict. I was going to see how many 4k textures I could throw into Skyrim before my computer vomited but maybe I'll do a Star Wars binge instead.

When: Friday, November 13th, 2015, Operation will commence at 8PM EST/ (Saturday, 1am GMT for EU)

Where: EMERALD Server, AJSA Teamspeak: ts3.ajsagaming.com

How: Platoon and Squad Leaders will create specific Squad Channels in the Teamspeak to match the name of the in-game Squad in PS2. Join the Teamspeak Channel that matches the squad you join in game, so you can hear your Squad Leader!

What: For this event we aim to celebrate the two year anniversary of the Angry Army. Aside from playing in a semi-serious way as a large team, Squad members are expected to listen to their Squad Leaders to ensure the AJSA is victorious in battle.

    Event Outline:
    Kick-off Phase: MAXimum Chaos
for the start of our operation we will load maxes and engineers into galaxies from our warpgate. from there we will drop on any base with a lot of enemy activity and crush them, our galaxies dropping maxes in behind (or on top) of them. after we take what bases they own (or we all die horribly) we can proceed with (perhaps not so normal) operations.

    Combat Phase:
We will then break off to our platoon and squad assignments. If an Alert has started, we will play the objectives of the alert, otherwise, we will go to hot spots where we are needed (splitting continents if called for).

Racing Phase: AJSA Racing league Anniversary Race #2 The max/harasser race!
For the second annual AJSA anniversary race we will be running a 2 man race, using harassers who’s drivers job will be to protect their max! failure to do so will result in disqualification. the race route and continent will be announced after the combat phase of the operation, (WARNING) it would be wise to have a GSD on your harasser.
The First Place Winning TEAM of the Race will receive the lovely AJSA Racing League Champion Award on the forums. View the award and our hall of champions here:

Hey guys! So I bet a lot of you are wondering where's the Planetside events. Well to help you all ease your mind we are not dead nor are we ending the 3rd campaign, we simply took an entire week off doing a lot of work, both community and real life issues came up for everyone.

So first off I would like to announce a few things we did then go into detail about them later..
We've been keyboard warriors over the PlanetSide2 forum & Reddit. We've been under going staff training. Preparing for PlanetSide 2.0 Created a competitive outfit.
Keyboard warriors - Over the PlanetSide forum and Reddit we have been talking to outfits and players alike, promoting that the Angry Army is a community instead of a fanboy service. Now before you violently type something onto the forum post please remember as we the Angry Army did have our community lead (Angry Joe) join in for a few events and during that time our attention and recruitment spiked so high that we couldn't keep track and lost track of some members. So what had happened during that time that some of our members rather put us to be a "troll" and "fanboyish" community/outfit as some of our members spammed love for Angry Joe, and team killed a quite bit as some members were actually trolls (those members since have been removed). So during our time over the forums and Reddit we've changed opinions of us. Now to keep it we now must show that we are not a troll outfit.

Staff training - With the staff training over this past week was rather skill training and public relations, as we have received a few complaints from members with staff not attending to ones wants, not able to handle a situation correctly, and very uncooperative at times in game while squad leading. So to make sure these measure did not occur again we made sure all staff were aware of the COC and followed it by heart.

PlanetSide 2.0 - So as many of you know that this September on the PC version Planetside will be having a major and lovely updates with NEW AND AMAZING THINGS, OMG HAVE YOU SEEN THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER??? With the fanboying out of the way the community has been in a fuss about this and it's only recently that someone actually went in PlanetSide and looked inside and what they found was absolutely amazing. Now I won't say everything (hype, hype!) but if you're a little bit curious look at the latest post... Link!

Competitive Outfit - Now onto the most controversial point (which most of you will read first! ). We have created another outfit called the Republican Guardsman. Going with story ark the guardsman are of the Terran Republics oldest regiments in PlanetSides history, to give you a little history the RGM was created when the settlers landed on Auraxis, they were to be the first police of the Planet and was soon to become the high guard and the police for the capital city. So they are now a full on outfit for the Terran Republic military. So why did we create this outfit? Well simple, players just wanted a different outfit other than the AJA. I know that this will be contradicting my point earlier abour keyboard warriors but some players were tired of playing under a inactive and almost dead outfit. To fully explain an outfit is basically a clan but within the game each player contributes with their K/D ratio, well we have players that are below a 0.3 K/D ratio and that isn't fair to players with a 1.0 or above K/D ratio. Now that might seem a bit of an elitist attitude but to proceed in a competitive tournament the outfit has to look pretty with it having a high K/D ratio. So to help you guys get an idea you come compare the AJSA and the RGM outfits on K/D ratio. I hope this helps you guys!

Onto a few more things I would like to announce that! I am currently on the prowl for streamers, players, and more staff! I can't do this alone! that why I need you! Members of the Angry Army I want you to apply for staff and help stream our event and promote the Angry Army, we can make our Planetside2 outfit something great! But what I need is commitment to our cause on making the Angry Army a welcoming place for all who wish to join!

So to list everything I need to be filled:
Four Sergeants! Four Prospects! And two streamers!
After these positions are filled we will moved onto have dedicated groups i.e. Armor, Air, Infantry, and Hell jumpers! Yes Hell jumpers boys! Come on guys I still believe something amazing can come out of this! But it will only work if all of you put your time into it, we will become something more than just a community! We will finally become an Army and rule Auraxis under our mightiest of boots!

My friend told me about Planetside 2 a long time ago (when i still don't have Steam), and I checked it out on Google and it looks promising. So on this day August 23 2015, I finally downloaded Planetside 2 and played it.

So far, the game itself is amazing, the community itself is amazing and friendly, the gameplay is fun, easy to learn, hard to master, the environments/graphics itself is amazing as well, the large scale battles are awesome, people actually cooperate here, medics will heal you, engineers will fix you up (Max class) and will complete objectives for them and other classes as well will work together.

    tl:dr
    The game is amazing

Hey guys I wanna go ahead in post this in advance so that we have enough time to prepare for this event and be as effective as we can be!

    Date: August - 22 - 2015
    Time: 7pm - 9pm UTC / 2pm - 4pm CST
    Servers: Emerald vs Cobalt
    Continent: Hossin
Within this server smash we will fight as the New Conglomerate for the Emerald server. Now I do realize that the only way we could join is by playing as the NC but we have almost an entire month to prepare and work on our NC players. So we have about 19 days to prepare for this event and I hope we can attend this event.

    Date: September - 13 - 2015
    Time: 12am - 2am UTC / 7pm - 9pm CST
    Servers: Emerald vs Connery
    Continent: Amerish
Within this server smash we will fight as the Terran Republic for the Emerald server. Now I know it's a bit late for the European players but hopefully we can work something out where everyone can join in this event! More details will be reveal as time comes closer, for right now we have about 40 days to prepare.

With posting these two events does not mean that we will attend them, it just means that there is a possibility to join with these smashes. Even if we do attend any event does anyone wanna go over any tactics or ideas we can try to help prepare us??

There will be a game leader meeting for all primary leaders for across all games and platforms. Of course not everyone can make it and we understand. Please if you can make the below listed time.

The meeting will take place this Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 AM CDT.

What I mean by game leaders is the primary and only the primary leader whether they're a sergeant or officer. This will be to allow discussion between council and commanders with game leaders at one time. We will be bringing up our goals and intentions for the present and the near future. We will without a doubt have a Q&A part of the meeting after all necessary information has been relayed.

At this time the meeting will take place on the AJSA teamspeak server. We will have a specific channel for the meeting so please be on time. This is obviously not easy to get together which is why we don't expect everyone to show. But we need as many in attendance as possible so that we may have as clear and direct of a communication between all those in a position of responsibility.

  16. General Bravo liked a post in a topic by crazykidsbite in Update for the PS2 community.
    Hey guys, officer Crazykidsbite here!

So I wanted to update you guys on a few new updates and plans for the community topic.

I wanna go ahead and start the off by saying I've clear up both forums and outfit trash. What I mean upon this is that I've cleaned up inactive members, extremely old forum posts, and restructured command staff. I do apologize to anyone who might have come back after a year of inactivity and give Planetside another try.

I want to go on to say that our operations will commence every Sunday at 12PM CST and 6PM GMT. As well we will have training's and they will commence on Tuesday at 12PM CST and 6PM GMT.

Finally we will have Mid Week Operations or MWO, every Wensday at separate times for American and European players. For Americans the operations will happen at 6PM CST, for Europeans the operations will happen at 6PM GMT. The reason for this is not to separate the community but rather promote player activity for all time zones and to as well show that we are active once more!

As well to keep things fresh within the Planetside community will be began to play as the almighty American freedom fighter faction the New Conglomerate. Who can deny the almighty Jackhammer? We will be playing on the Emerald server and if you wish to join add the player crazykidsbite onto your friends list so that I can invite you to the outfit as it is under construction. We will have operations as the NC but we want to dust off the the TR outfit.
As well with our activity once more we have been promoted back up to the official status of the AJSA, so this marks the first day of the... Wait for it.
                                3rd campaign!

Aside of the joyous achievement we are looking for Sargent's and Prospects to help maintain the outfit and lead the squads into battle. The requirements of applications will be discussed below.
We require an at least 16+ maturity in this community. Knowledge of leading squads and communicating with command. To be a wolf instead of a sheep. To be able to think outside of the box. As well to be patient with the flow of battle. To be able to handle situations within the community and in-game.
I want to thank everyone for joining us in the last few operations, and as each week goes by everyone will began to notice the seriousness and the effectiveness of the outfit and we will dominate the ground and skies.

  21. General Bravo liked a post in a topic by crazykidsbite in 7/7/2015 The alert draw
This will be remembered as the day that a single squad of the AJSA held off against a VS counter attack to prevent a VS victory during an alert. On this day we held off against a 48-96 enemy counter attack in a single max crash, and we made them pay for every life we lost by making the alert a draw.
    We are the Terran Republic!

On the 14th of March, 2015, the Second Campaign of the AJSA within Planetside 2 was brought to a close. The reasoning was as follows:

    - Connectivity issues. For several weeks prior to the outfit's closure, several of our players encountered significant issues with heavy fps drops, obscenely high ping levels, and even crashing. Needless to say, for those players who had these issues, the game stopped being fun extremely quickly.

    - The SOE buyout. At this point, SOE had recently been bought by Columbus Nova and their new brand name was announced to be Daybreak Games Company. People began having concerns that this would result in the game being shifted in a pay-to-win direction, alienating those who would prefer to acquire gear via in-game grinding rather than IRL grinding.

    - The toxic atmosphere. The previously mentioned factors, coupled with a general fatigue among the playerbase, combined to make a very toxic atmosphere on the Teamspeak channel during the last few events. This behavior resulted in those who were upset at the game getting more upset and probably pushed away several newcomers who would have otherwise been excited to play this game.

It's been over two months since the final operation of the Second Campaign. Since then, the connectivity issues have been fixed, and the May update added some significant changes. The major components were as follows:

-Spawn Rule Change-If a base is no longer connected to a faction's warpgate via lattice line, that faction can no longer spawn there. This helps cut down on redeployside and forces any zergs to defend against flanking movements or risk losing numerous territories in one go.

-Vehicle Ejection Bug Fix-No more getting shot 500 feet in the air when you get out of your tanks.

-Galaxy Ammo Dispenser and Proximity Repair-New upgrades for the Galaxy, finally making it a fully functional airborne Sunderer. This may cause alterations in tactics by outfits and platoons with more of an aerial focus, which should be interesting to see.

The rest of the changes are listed in a post I previously made about this update here, so click the link to see the changes that were made in detail. I believe the vast majority of changes made in this update will help improve the game overall.

Given the fact that it's clear Daybreak is continuing to work on improving the game, the connectivity issues are largely cleared up, those who were fatigued of the game's problems three months ago have now had a significant period of time off from the game, and summer break is here, I feel the time is right. As such, it is my pleasure to announce the return of the AJSA to Planetside 2!
We will be continuing to hold minor weekend ops to get everyone back into the swing of things for a few weeks before we have a formal relaunch event to get the Third Campaign rolling.
