  1. The curtains are setting on a part of my life, and my time in this community is drawing to a close. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I'm very soon going to be living alone in my home, all while preparing for my A2 exams (before university). Right now I barely have time for gaming, but it looks like I'll have very little time once I'm alone, and as I get closer and closer to exams, I'm going to be very busy too. Gaming is taking a definite backseat now, and I'll be retreating to a teamspeak of personal friends, with whom I can talk with for a few minutes in the evening. To the many people I've met and spoke with while I've been here: Thank you, you've made me feel right at home in this community. It's been a pleasure working with the Arma 3 community, right up until the end. Apologies for not making events consistently, things got very busy near the end. I will be keeping people on my steam friends list, and I'll be dropping into teamspeak now and then, so feel free to message me if you'd like a game. - Alex (Humorousone)
  2. We're here to kick ass and chew bubblegum... Pity none of us like gum. Sunday's operation will be a combined arms mission, with a helicopter, a tank, and of course infantry. The details of the mission itself will be given during the premission briefing, so be there early! The briefing will begin at 8:20PM BST, on sunday 18th October in the teamspeak channel. The mission will begin 10 minutes later. Lock and load!
  3. I'm bloody furious, mate. Welcome aboard.
  4. The game has once again changed. Your last three attacks have left a mark on both the rebel and CSAT forces - CSAT have failed to deliver their promises of arms and reinforcements to the rebels, and has stretched their relationship to breaking point. Over the week, fighting has erupted between the two supposedly allied forces, leaving the battlefield in a sprawling, chaotic state. Both sides are employing extremely heavy weapons, bombing and shelling targets with extreme prejudice. NATO has picked now as a time to go loud. Your unit has been provided with a Merkavah tank, serving as both a troop carrier and fire support, as well as an unarmed MRAP, and an A10 and cluster shells for fire support. Two other units have also been deployed to the region, and you will be able to choose exactly where they will strike. We'll be making a lightning fast advance through several villages, with the ultimate goal of establishing an FOB, from which further advances will be launched. We'll meet in teamspeak at 8:20PM BST, and the mission will start at 8:30PM BST. As usual, we expect the mission to last about 1 hour 45 minutes. Prep the earplugs. 6. +1 for afterburner. You can enable a customisable onscreen overlay too for DX based games, that'll show you all of your temps + fan speeds. or you can go for radeonpro, which does the same thing plus some graphics options thingy, altough I leave those disabled.
  7. > I create an intricate IED factory, complete with individual items, placed carefully on tables and on the floor > AJSA members roll by, throw a grenade and obliterate the entire factory (plus about half of the compound's walls) when they trigger all of the explosives > fml
  8. When you see the a10... Tactical Duke Incoming
  9. A lot of the vehicles in Arma 3 are Israeli, actually. both factions are a mishmash of british, israeli, and simply made up vehicles. It's odd..
  10. Two missions, two successes, two blows. CSAT have taken notice, and are regrouping in full force, complete with heavy arms, heavy vehicles, and new helicopters. Before they have a chance to mount a competent counterattack, we need to strike them behind their own lines and under the best cover possible - darkness. In this mission, you'll have pick two of a selection of tagets: - an improvised light attack helicopter landing area - an MRAP/IFV depot, inside a small FOB - an IED factory defended by CSAT The pros and cons of each target will be explained in teamspeak later on. As usual, the briefing for the mission will begin at 8:20PM BST, and we'll meet in teamspeak. We'll start the operation at 8:30PM, and the operation will last approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Ready up, men! This post has been promoted to an article

  12. super excited for this, although supporting early access games tends to be more of an exception than a rule, in the AJSA (as far as I know). As soon as I get hold of this game, i will play it, 10/10. In the meantime, i'll be sticking entirely to arma 3
  13. Hey guys. I've been ill these last three days, so I've not been able to make a proper mission this sunday. If people do attend this sunday, we'll play a PVP VIP mission. One team will pick a spot to defend inside an area on altis, and the other team will attempt to rescue a VIP being held in the building the defending team is in. Both teams have a free choice over what weapons they choose, other than these weapons (just for the sake of balance): Each team will be allowed: 1x DMR (with a non-thermal scope) 1x Laser designator 1x claymore mine 2x RPG29 rounds + either 1 or two tubes 1x 40mm greande launcher, with 4 rounds See you on the evening, guys!
  14. yeah, sure. Although I'll have to reinstall the game, it's been a while.
  15. Well, I have to defend them in that respect. the Wii U is simply inferior in terms of hardware to all other current-gen consoles. The reason wii u games tend to run so well is because they rely on simple stylistic graphics rather than realism. There are quite a few phyiscs calculations that go into project cars, hence why the game doesn't look as good as say, grid autosport. Yes, it's not very well optimised, but you have to be realistic...
