What people don't understand is that subscription offers a much more guaranteed income for the publisher, therefore it is alot easier to justify putting funding into new content. I prefer a subscription model over a free to play/pay to win system as long as the quality is there.

I wanted to see something like this on one of the TVs in the intro screen of GTA 5:

Coming from a vice city/liberty city fanboy, extremly well. There the first protagonists I've actually liked since Tommy
  8. hornedturtle liked a post in a topic by Eradose in Rambo: The video game Great potential, or train wreck waiting to happen?
Okay, there's a Rambo game coming out on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.  From what's being shown off, the game will cover the events from First Blood, Rambo: First Blood part II, and Rambo III.

However, there are some real concerns here.  First off, the graphics look about as bad as Aliens: Colonial Marines.  Second, look how the gun moves, and the crosshairs on the screen during the chopper sequence.  This suggests that this may be an on-rails shooter, or have required motion controls.

Is this game going to be any good, or will it suffer the same curse as may other movie based games?  What are your thoughts?

The whole situation with the 360 crew has pretty much been an epic fail.

    You must have misunderstood?
The professionals that themasething is referring to is the professional beta testers that used to exist.
What you seem to think professionals refer to is developers or maybe even publishers?

I agree with him, why do we have such buggy games now?
IMO because they do not go through extensive testing by professional testers, publishers rush the product out asap to get their money back asap.
Indie developers are different in the way that they have a good idea and then they scramble to make that idea work as a game, they dont have a big corporation behind them yelling "if you dont finish this by tomorrow, were canceling your game"
I think developers working for EA care as much for the game, they just have a boss who pulls funding if things dont go according to them.

Having a professional testing group play through the game a couple of times and listening to their input would minimize the amount of bugs and glitches.
But then again, why hire beta testers when people like you are ready to do that for them and pay for the product everyone knows is far from ready?

  15. hornedturtle liked a post in a topic by Divergence in hey guys i would like your opinion
I agree with EddieJames 55 except for the face cam thing. Honestly? I prefer not to see the person playing the game. A lot of people are ugly and I find it detracts from the game. No I am not being a smartass I am just saying what's true of my perspective.
If it was a horror game or something on a first play through I guess a face cam would be ok but overall I would rather not see someone unles it has barring on the game.

That's a lot nicer than how I read into that post. That looks like a copied advertisement, at least I hope so...sounds kind of fishy when an outlet "joins the party". But that's just me.

Avoid the General Discussion chat on WoT and its forums, it is a mess and the staff/mods can be draconian. I got warned for discussing non-WoT games in their GD/OT forum some time back.

My advice: Play the game, avoid GD and their forums.

I personally think YOU are in the wrong here. And your manner about the issue is abhorrent. People are allowed to promote their content, in fact there is a whole section of the forum dedicated to this. The way you've conducted yourself makes me shudder.

Edit: And I suggest you edit your posts accordingly.
