  1. he had his moments, but they were few and far between. He just didn't have the force of personality that Ezio did. All I was thinking while playing as Edward was, "Yep. Connor is related to this guy." Granted, we had 3 games and a short film to get to know Ezio, and Ezio was involved in most of the lore building of the series, so he has an unfair advantage. Yet, he was still a much more interesting protagonist than Edward.
  2. Oh jesus. Here we go... Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 (story for first 2, 3 just for the insanity achievement and "best" ending) Arkham Asylum, City, and Origins (again, story and gameplay for first 2, achievements for Origins) Fallout 3 (love this game) Oblivion and Skyrim (love these games) Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (probably at least 8 times each. Favorite games) Tekken Series after 3 (played through arcade mode with every fighter, every time) Tomb Raider reboot ('cause I fell in love with Lara) FFX (cause Yuna and Rikku are cool) Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (love that game, tried to get all characters maxed out) Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (hack and slash at it's best) Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2 (more hack and slash greatness) Pokemon (c'mon, we all have) Mario games Super Smash Bros and SSBM Alpha Protocol (I wanted to see the different endings) Hitman: Blood Money (i loved the funeral slaughter) Braid (time trials) Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Multiple Endings, different play styles) Borderlands and Borderlands 2 (LOOT and LOLZ!) Conker's Bad Fur Day (LOLZ) Matrix: Path of Neo (what a Matrix game should be) Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 (story lines) Saint's Row 2 and 3 (LOLZ) Destiny (because different classes and the never ending search for an actual storyline) Titanfall (because I wanted all three titan chassis) Mark of the Ninja (stealth goodness) South Park: Stick of Truth (LOLZ) Maximum Carnage, Spiderman 2, Spiderman: Web of Shadows (web swinging fun) Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (time travel and ninja turtles) Star Fox 64 (best time and short cuts) KoTOR (story) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (speed runs)
  3. Enter the Matrix KoTOR 2 SWTOR ME3 ending (poisoned fruit - it actually ruined what came before it for me) ESO Destiny Every Call of Duty except BLOPS2 (LAN party win!) Watch_Dogs Assassin's Creed games after Revelations (Connor, Edward, Aveline, Rogue guy, and Arno were just blah after Ezio) GTA IV - so boring, oh my god The Order: 1866 (if I wanted a $60 cutscene, I would have asked for it, and I would have wanted it to be a lot better) Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (it just wasn't as fun as 2) The Power Rangers SNES game - couldn't play as Green Ranger Shadows of the Empire Titanfall - so much fun to play. so hard to get a game going. Any game based on D&D - there is so much you can do in the tabletop pen and paper version that just won't work in a videogame. Arkham Origins - my god, how did they mess up the Arkham series like that? Alpha Protocol - so much potential, wasted Split/Second - wish there was a actually a stable player base for co-op The Uncharted Series - I don't understand what the fuss is about. Constant horde mode with crappy movement and aiming controls along with bad cover mechanics. Sunset Overdrive - can't play for more than 20 minutes without getting a headache
  4. West End Games made a tabletop Star Wars rpg in the 90s. Clunky but ok. WotC had a Star Wars rpg based loosely on D&D 3.5. Good if flawed at higher levels. WotC released Saga Edition shortly before 4e D&D came out. good. 2 new games out, but i have no idea about them
  5. Favorite mod so far has been realistic archery for Skyrim. I love that the arrows have different arcs and speeds based on their design and composition, and the higher level bows don't necessarily do more dmg - some just draw faster. Sniping a moving target with an arrow to the head is a lot more satisfying when you have to take the drop of the arrow into account.
  6. The point in Witcher 2 when Geralt finds the assassin and says, "They'll never learn." The Arkham City plans in Arkham Asylum.
  7. Borderlands 2, Far Cry 4, Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim, Portal 2, Mass Effect series (until last 10 minutes), Arkham City, FFX, Goldeneye, X-wing vs. Tie Fighter, and the Tekken series are all favorites. But my all time favorite? Tie between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
  8. Ghosts was a mess, Advanced Warfare wasn't really any better (I'd argue it was as bad, just on different metrics). CoD gameplay usually boils down to: 1) Map Knowledge 2) Fast, twitchy gameplay 3) Score streaks, because any decent military unit has to earn support from their respective superiors. 4) Type of controller used (scuff for pros, modded for trolls, stock for casuals) 5) Ignoring whiny brats 6) BS 7) BS 8) Zombie BS
  9. From what I understand, the main issue people are having with this (other than it's the evil Microsoft corporation doing it) is that this sets a precedent for companies and other third parties to affect the property of private citizens. The real issue here wouldn't just be that these parties have the capability, but have protected themselves and their right to use this power behind a legal firewall that likely can't be taken down, if for no other reason than those who would want to simply can't afford the legal fees it would require to take away what is really a HUGELY unfair position of power from these third parties. The main idea lots of people find so repugnant is that these companies are telling people, "We've put a lot of work into this, and we own the ideas behind it, so, if you buy our product, you can only use it in a way we want you to. If you don't do what we say, we're taking it away from you without reimbursement, and there's nothing you can do about this." And the response from those who disagree with the worried people (and this is an over-simplification, I'm aware) boils down to, "they made it, and the contract says it, so we have to abide by it. Just do what they say and don't rock the boat." So, really, the issue at hand is that these companies have the power to create completely tilted and unfair contracts for those buying the products for use in their own homes - contracts that many of the companies can change at any time, thereby making said contracts worthless for the consumer - and the consumer has no real way of making these companies stop. The consumer is, in this case, powerless. Impotent. And, when the implications of this set in, when people see just how far that can go, it becomes terrifying. In response, some lash out at it. Others defend it, saying these companies have the right to protect their ideas and business. But the fact remains that, in this case and many others, these companies can affect something a private citizen owns, in their own home, and said citizen is powerless to stop it. So, in the end, the issue isn't that someone's XBone was bricked. The issue is that a binding legal contract should have input from both sides and should not be changeable without consent, at the point of change, from all parties involved. I may be wrong, but I thought that a contract entered into with bad faith - that is, with the intention of either not carrying through agreements or of taking undue advantage of another party physically, mentally, or financially - could not be enforced and could, in fact, be broken by the aggrieved party with no legal repercussions.
  10. Assuming the FBI were trying to track the phone number, if he had a way of spoofing that they would have been SOL. From what (little) I understand, even the phone companies can't tell where the call came from if it is spoofed. If he has a mental disorder and is remanded for psychological counseling instead of jail time, he won't be able to leave until his doctors feel that he won't be a danger to himself or others. If his supposed mental illness is severe enough that he lacks empathy for other people, he might never be able to leave. I wonder if there is a way for people that stream or twitch or whatever to log themselves in a registry with their local police, so if a call comes in about them or their place of residence, the police will see a note about the address or name and see that it is a possible swatting call?
  11. Got hit by Advanced Warfare (play in LANs with friends), BF 4, Arkham Origins, Watch_Dogs, Unity, ME3, and ESO. Pre-ordered all of them because of Dev or series trust (ME3, Unity, Arkham Origins, and ESO), hype (BF 4 and Watch_Dogs), and games with friends (AW and Ghosts, really). Last game I'm pre-ordering is Arkham Knight (c'mon Rocksteady, don't fuck me now). No more pre-orders. If I don't get some weapon skin or whatever, so be it. Other than Rocksteady, I don't trust any dev anymore, and they are on thin ice just by proxy.
  12. Hello all, Long time gamer from the DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) area, new to the AJSA. I don't play Battlefield 4 much, but I'm probably going to re-install it soon. I play more on PS4 and XBone right now, at least until Arkham Knight comes out. I'm looking forward to playing games with y'all, and I'll practice a bit so I don't drag any teams down (too much). Right now, I'm mostly playing GTA V on XBone, MKX and FFX HD Remake on PS4, and Invisible Inc. on PC. If anybody wants to play MKX or GTA V, let me know!
