  1. no leave us alone thanks
  3. Yeah i would definitely recommend getting the ribbons first, and then focusing on defib kill and 40mm and then pistol. That defib pill was a huge pain in the ass
  4. That's actually a good point, I forgot about second assault lol. It's a bit confusing, there's a few guns in second assault which aren't unlockable yet and there's a few guns which aren't in second assault which you can unlock as far as i know. Everyone has been saying this is China Rising stuff, but now that i think of it all of these weapons are old BF3 ones so it would make sense to be second assault instead. I later found out that the ribbon requirements - so get 3 assault rifle ribbons, or get 3 sniper rifle ribbons etc. do infact save throughout the map changes, but the ones like get a defib kill or get a grenade kill don't save. So you can get the ribbons in one match, and then the next match focus on getting the other requirements in a single map
  5. No information that i know of yet on how to unlock the gadgets, for all i know the gadgets could be unlocked through further kit progression and not through assignments but i'm not too sure. As soon as i find out i'll update the thread
  6. Fixed for ya. The L85A2 is easily the best gun in the game at the moment, so if you want to start with any of those i'd do that first
  7. As far as anyone knows, these must be done in one round for the weapon to unlock. So, for example the L85A2 one, you must get 3 assault ribbons, a pistol kill, 40mm grenade kill, and defibrillator kill all in the same round. This may change at release of the DLC, but currently that's the only way to guarantee that they will unlock. I also cannot confirm if you need premium or not to unlock these weapons, if someone who doesn't have premium could let me know if they are able to unlock these that would be great. EDIT: The ribbon requirements (Assault ribbon x3, sniper ribbon x3 etc.) save between map changes. All of the other requirements (defib kill, 40mm grenade kill etc.) do not save between map changes. If you are having difficulty unlocking these, i would suggest focusing on the ribbon requirements first since those save, and then in one match getting the rest of them at once since they don't save. Good luck! L85A2 Assignment: Open Fire Assault ribbon x3 Get a kill with a pistol in a round Get a kill with 40mm grenade in a round Get a kill with the defibrillator in a round L96A1 Assignment: Need Only One Sniper ribbon x3 Get a kill with a shotgun in a round Get a kill with a DMR in a round Get a kill with C4 in a round MTAR-21 Assignment: Multitalented Get a kill with an AR Get a kill with a LMG Get a kill with a Sniper Rifle Get a kill with kill with a grenade RPK-74M Assignment: Powder Keg LMG ribbon 3x Get a kill with the M224 Mortar MP7 Assignment: Make A Dent Destroy an air vehicle with portable AA Anti Vehicle Ribbon x3 Also, two new gadgets: SUAV, Flying laser designator. Must be controlled (Recon) UCAV, Flying Airburst grenade. Must be controlled (Support, Long refil from Ammobox) New Assignments: Middle King 10 Hours China Rising 5 kill streak 1 Kill with SUAV Will update this as new information comes in, for now go out there and finish these "hidden" (bugged) assignments and get the China Rising weapons early
  8. This ^^^ A great place to start for competitive teams especially for shooters is CS. It already has a strong competitive environment, probably the strongest amongst FPS games, and has many ladders and leagues to enter to get an idea of where AJSA would stand in a competitive environment. It might take a while for BF4 to get going in the competitive scene so i think including CS would be a good start
  9. UPDATE #8 (Nov 12): Client patch (PC) The PC client patch for Battlefield 4 will go live in the near future and fixes a number of different issues you have helped us to identify, including a number of the most common crashes and freezes. We will get back to you with a full fix list and a specific date for this update soon. Maintenance downtime (All platforms) Nov 13, we have a planned maintenance starting at 9AM UTC/1AM PST. The maintenance will last for 2-3 hours and multiplayer for Battlefield 4 will be unavailable on all platforms in increments during this window. This maintenance is done in preparation for the upcoming client patches. Console Server Update (PS3/X360) During the Nov 13 maintenance window mentioned above, we will roll out the latest server update for X360 and PS3. This server update will include the following fixes: • Temporarily disabled the ”Indirect Fire” and ”Perimeter Defense” Field Upgrades on PS3 as they caused the game to crash when spawning. This is a temporary workaround while we work to solve the issue altogether. • Fixed a number of dog tags that were showing up as blank in-game. • Lowered the damage caused by Mobile AA Active Radar missiles to aircraft. The previous damage was incorrectly set too high. • Improved server crash reporting and performance tracking on all platforms. This should further help us identify and fix server crashes going forward. Upcoming console client patches (PS3/X360) We are testing and finalizing upcoming client patches for PS3 and X360. We will be able to give you an ETA on these at a later date. You can always find the latest info in this thread. Upcoming Live Scoreboard (PC) We will introduce Live Scoreboards in the PC server browser on Battlelog in the upcoming days. It will let you see the current status in the ongoing round on a server before you join, such as the number of remaining targets in a round of Obliteration. We will be able to give you specific date on this feature soon. UPDATE #7 (Nov 12): Server Update R8 rolling out on PC We recently deployed the R8 Server Update on PC. It should be propagating throughout servers in the upcoming hours. You can find the change notes below. R8 Update Notes: *Fixed a number of dog tags that were showing up as blank in-game. *Lowered the damage caused by Mobile AA Active Radar missiles to aircraft. The previous damage was incorrectly set too high. *Improved server crash reporting and performance tracking on all platforms. This should further help us identify and fix server crashes going forward. - It will be nice to finally have the biggest problem all of us have been having, including Joe (hah) fixed. On a side note, the active missiles for mobile AA will be getting a much needed nerf in terms of damage so no more cross map sniping for you
  10. I think we're going to see a lot of people using the ACE 23 once they unlock it. It's statistically the best gun in the game, and it's identical to the M16A4 from BF3 in terms of stats except the fire rate is a little slower (which i personally like more than a faster fire rate)
  11. I'm always interested to see what kind of loadouts other people roll with, in other games usually there's one or two weapons and loadouts that are universally used and that's about it but one thing i've noticed in my years of playing BF is that's almost never the case. I'd say my personal favourite loadouts right now are my assault and engineer loadouts. The ACE 23 and ACE 52 CQB have insane damage, and once you get the right attachments the recoil is super easy to control. A lot of people don't know how useful the M2 SLAMs are for the engineer class either, they're basically C4 that can be thrown further or can also be used as mines. Toss 3 of these on a tank, wait for it to start driving away and BOOM Post your loadouts, pictures or not. Gonna be interesting to see what you guys roll with
  12. Woah holy shit, really? I was going to wait until i got my PS4 to buy Assassin's Creed 4, but if i can trade in a game and get it on my PS3 and get the code for the PS4 for $10.. fuck yeah!
  13. Thought you guys might find it as interesting as I do. Personally i'm not too excited about the next gen, specifically Xbox One, but this gives you some nice and more or less unedited insight into the Xbox One that we didn't really have before without a bunch of bullshit piled ontop of it.
  14. Yeah absolutely, i find myself getting bored really easily and these missions really give me something to work towards. I've already got the weapons and gadgets i want unlocked, so i don't really have any specific goals. Having a little (usually) friendly competition between my friends and I on who can be the best tank driver gives me some nice things to work towards and can be really fun.
  15. Alright, so i've had quite a few of my friends ask me how these missions work, how to create one and what the point is. I thought why not make a topic here just in case any of you were interested as well? First off, most of you probably don't even know these exist and what they are. "Missions" are basically challenges that you can create, and invite friends to join to do. They can consist of several things - from whoever can get the most kills in a round in a 48 hour period, to who can get the most points flying a helicopter on a specific map. Think of them like assignments, except you can create them and you can challenge your friends to do them as well. Why would you want to do them? Well, first off is they're fun. Challenging your friends to see who can get the furthest headshot over the weekend can really add some spice to your playing. Second, if you win enough of these missions you can unlock unique dog tags. For example, here is one of the dog tags you get for winning a certain number of "Best Engineer" missions Interested yet? Great. Here's how you create one: When you're sitting at battlelog.battlefield.com, on the top bar between the "campaign" and "leaderboard" tabs is missions. click it. From there, you're directed to a page with all of the missions you currently have active with countdown timers until they are done (1), missions you have finished (2), as well you can click specific missions to see the details regarding the map, attempts, time left, who is involved etc. (3). What you're most interested in is how to CREATE a mission, which is at the top right (4) Once you click create mission, you have tons of options. Feel free to click through and see which ones are most interesting - best class, best type of gun, best vehicle. Whatever you'd like. As well, you can choose any map you want (or all maps) to which the challenge will apply. Unfortunately, you can't choose 2 or more maps, it's either one specific map or all maps (as far as i know). Choose the challenge, choose the maps, choose how many attempts you are allowed and then click invite! You and anyone invited will have 48 hours from the time it is issued before a winner is declared. Have fun! If you have any questions feel free to post it here and let me know. By the way, feel free to add me on battlelog - my ID Is "GuyOnAManatee" I would be more than happy to create and accept any challenges you guys want to issue, have some fun on the AJSA servers and kick some ass.
