So I started this in christmas of 07, and got hooked, thousands of dollars later I'm still going strong.

I my years I've only done one propper game, a a few test games solo to learn rules.
This is mostly just to feed my intrest in military history.

I started with 15mm Napoleonics, I did the 1st division at Salamanca. It's so far the only project I've ever finished.

Since then I've done more napoleonics, more napoeonics, I've done Ancients, medievals, sevral 18th century wars, renesanse, thiry years war, WW1, WW2, American civil war. Sengoku, Vietnam, modersn, sci fi(mostly star trek)

    I've gone through 15mm, 28mm, 6mm, 10mm and 40mm, and the od 54, 79 and 94mm figure.

I'm now quite clearly a 28mm "gamer" and painter. While I pine from the days of 15mm, and some times stray to other scales.
I'm simply not happy with my paint job on anything except 28mm(not that I'm always happy with them eithe)

    Some Pics.
    Lets start with some Sengoku

And go straight for the war of spanish succession(WSS)

Some 7 years war figures, prussians and austrians

Lets go way back in time, to Roman Republican soldiers,

My roman legion, 2 units of hastati, 2 of pricpes, 1 of triarii, 1 skrimish unit of vesites, and two small flank units of cav.

    Hastati

    My Pyhrric army

    Celtic cav

    US WW2 Marines

    Russian Napoleonic dragoons

    The Brandenbruger infantery regiment

    Prussian landwehr cav

I'm I modest painter, I have no talent, simply practice, and still after all these years nothing compeard to how fantastic others can make figures look, many people can make 15mm figures look much better then my 28mm.

I can't remember where I was but I also came across a bunch of factions fighting but before I could do much a few suiciders showed up and basically took out everyone including their friends. I was kind of disappointed because I was deep into my character who likes killing every person I can.

While wondering around in the Glowing Sea, I encountered an Injured deathclaw hauling ass from something.
I turned to where it was running from and bam, Super Mutant Behemoth. After I killed the Behemoth, I was in power armor so no biggie, the deathclaw came back and bitch slapped my companion, who of which turned and killed it.

So you're saying you should only play when your in your own home under your own ip? So, lets say I had ESO and I went to my brothers apartment for a weekend or a week and took my PC with me. I then shouldnt play ESO as I would be under his ip? Thats what I understand from what you're saying.

It seems to me that games like these dont really have that of a main story like some other games like. Skyrim is a huge open world where you can go everywhere you want and do what you want basically, games that are more story focused, like Dragon Age: Origins have less of a open world like Skyrim. If I make any sense what so ever.

I think Skyrim's main storyline was ok, but not a masterpiece. IMO Elder Scroll games in general lacked a good plot twist or anything but what makes them good is the side quest and the fact that the game can so easily strike you off from your main path to just go around and do other things.

    Hi Guild,
I thought I would make you aware that I got mail in the game that said my account would be shut down after 72 hours due to being inactive unless I verified it on a guild wars 2 url signed by an unknown GM.  This turned out to be some sort of virus phishing scam which was thankfully blocked by my virus protection.  It's been reported.
    Just a Heads up.

Light up your torches, sharpen your pitchforks, because I am gonna complain about something in Skyrim.

Okay, now with the little fun intro thing out of the way, lets get down to business. Skyrim, I'll start out with saying that I dont hate it I do like it, its just... the most fun I had in the game was attacking/defending Whiterun. Its the civil war quest line that interest me most. But its so one-sided. You take/hold Whiterun and then you take a few forts before you take Solitude/Windhelm. The End. And yes, I know you got the blackmail and messanger things aswell, but they are minor things.

I want more out of it. They could've added a strategic element to it. Where to attack, where to focus on defence. Having to defend forts. Just taken a fort and preparing to take another? Oh dear, it seems like your new won prize is under attack. There could've been a tug of war, 2 forts were attacked at the same time, gotta decide which one is worth the most to save. Maybe even resources, gold from gold mines. Ores and ingots for crafting from other mines. Upgrade your troops with better equipments.

And the biggest annoyance I have is, it the FIRST thing introduced to us in the game. "Ulfric Stormcloak? You're the leader of the Rebellion" "General Tulius, the military governor". These are the first characters to be introduced to us. They are the biggest characters in the Civil War. They are introduced BEFORE the dragon is. One of the first quests you get when getting out of Helgen is to join the Stormcloaks/Legion. Wasnt the Civil War supposed to be visible in Skyrim. Unless you follow the quest line, all you'll see is patrols or prisoner escorts.

And dont get me wrong, I like the main quest line, its just I like taking the forts and fighting other people in a war more than I like hacking away at the feet/wing/tail/head of a dragon with it not even reacting to it.

Now that I've said what I had to say I'll just step in this shower for some tar and feather. I started on a joke, I'll end it on a joke.

Do you play Skyrim on PC?

    Then here is your cure:

Huge battles and you can conquer more towns/forts
    1. If you wear imperial armor then Stormcloaks attack you and vice versa
    2. You can conquer more towns and forts
    3. It fixes AI
ex: Archers stay back and shoot arrows, others attack you on front and overall smarter AI
    4. Adds mages, giants and other things for each faction
    5. Improves overall combat
    6. Adds dialogue orginally removed from the game
    7. The war isn't linear, you can't always win it. Lose too many battles and you lose the war
    8. Battles can be HUGE sometimes and there are battlefields that generate at random times where Stormcloaks and Imperials fight each other

Overall the mod adds everything that you wanted in your post. Dynamic battles, win/lose, you get a letter once a town/fort of the faction you are in gets attacked and then you have to defend it, you attack new towns/forts, retake them back and so on. It's all done through quests in your journal.

That's the mod when it got released years ago, now there is tons of more content in it
    And much much more.

This mod is custom but also adds a lot of things to the game that were there but never got released.

This game is not just any shootem up game. When working as a squad you can make things a lot easier & more fun.  Also the only reason you will be in a unfair match is because staged match's have higher levels that kill noobs for more points. War battle fairness depends on the situation on the map that is caused by thousands of players! That is a great strategy concept, and do not forget this game is still in beta. Give this game a chance with our squad group, and join in TS =)

Why they waited for so long with the branding part I dont know. Its arguably the most interesting you can do within the nemesis system. Fighting to get your Uruks to the top withour any of them getting killed, which means every time you die there is a chance that a Uruk not uder your control can challenge one of yours, kill him and take his place. Giving another reason why to avoid death. And sending them to fight others to gain power themself and you can go and help them. Its a proper tactical element that has been put into a Open-world game.
  21. Aragorn195 liked a post in a topic by Paz in Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor review.Orgy of destruction and uruks.
Well gentlemen, it's here. And from what I can say,it's awesome.I was expectin' a good game, but it's even more than I could ever imagine. The first 10 minutes of gameplay got addictive.
Story: S.O.M follows the story of Talion, a ranger of Gondor guarding  the Black Gate of Mordor, whose son and wife are murdered in front of him by Sauron's captains, before of course being killed too. Resurrected by a wraith named Celebrimbor, who is also the creator of the most powerful ring, the One Ring, Talion goes on a vendetta for his killers, while also leaving Sauron's army of uruks into dust.

Gameplay: The gameplay shares similarities with Batman Arkham City(the similarity at attacking and parrying) and just a little bit of elements of Far Cry 3(though it's a little changed. Taking a plant will restore your health immediately, while in Far Cry 3 you had to collect a few to make a syringe). Also there's a special Wraith Vision ability, which is somehow very similar to Batman's detective vision.Where you can see where your enemies are much easier and also be careful which uruk to not kill in order to interrogate and get info about strong uruk generals. To not forget to mention, again much like in Batman Arkham City, you can use stealth in order to take down more dangerous uruks which would be a real challenge for you. Also you can immediately kill knocked-down uruks with takedowns or executions. There's also an upgrade menu, where you can get new abilities once you rank up ,or collect runes from fallen uruk generals to add buffs to your sword, bow ,and of course, your dagger.

Graphics and Atmosphere: The graphics of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor are very, very beautiful. It's been a long time since I enjoyed such shiny and well-detailed graphics since Far Cry 3. Honestly. And Mordor looks absolutely beautiful. The music in the game, oh well. I couldn't stop listenin' to it.Because L.O.T.R reasons.

Special mentions: Like always,Troy Baker did a great job on the voice and motion capture of Talion. I can't wait to see him as Pagan Min in the upcoming Far Cry 4. And also how can we forget about Nolan North, our beloved "Deadpool", in the role of the Black Hand, the leader of the Black Captains, and the one who killed Talion's family.

    Judgement time!
I found this game very very enjoyable to play. The story is good, the missions are fun (I don't understand why did some reviewers complained about the missions. They are coo'.) and the gameplay is very enjoyable. Also, for fans of Lord of the Rings, this game is a Must Own for sure.

My final verdict, for Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is a 9 out of 10. It's a must own for sure. It's impossible to not like this game. And don't worry,Gollum is there, waitin' to give ye missions. And who doesn't like Gollum.

Now that one more game has completed my list, there are a few left. Future reviews will surely be for Alien Isolation, The Crew, Far Cry 4 and the long-awaited Batman Arkham Knight.(which I hope,it will give me deep feels) so be sure to expect my reviews in the future. If I wasn't too detalied into this one, at least I hope I was clear about why should everyone, have this game. And also,I forgot to mention that I may sometimes review older games.Like I did on both Amnesia The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs. Which Joe forgot to review, and I really wanted to hear his opinion about it. For now, get this game, and let the uruk-slaying orgy begin.

Thanks, but we seem to have found the issue. We ask the friend who fixed my Bluescreen problem and he reconed it was the SATA cables. We found out that when we went to the HardDrive BBS Priorities the SSD kept getting set to number 3 and 1 of the 2 others became number 1. We exchanged the SATA 2 cables with some new SATA 3 cables that came with my Motherboard (Which I got almost 2 weeks ago) and we bootet up the machine 3 times without issues.

I do thank you all for help, maybe someone finds this thread and your advices helps. Anyway, thanks again.

    Heyyo,
Do you know what motherboard you have? Sometimes BIOS Updates can resolve issues with storage device conflicts, especially with older generation motherboards and SSD's.
