As threatened, we're back from our hiatus with our restructured EF. After long discussions involving not only the EF, but the entire High Command of the AJSA, we've ended up with a new concept, that we're confident will allow a more diverse gaming atmosphere. Also those of you familiar with how console events are run will probably note some similarities between the EF and the console events...

    EF Event Structure
An issue with the old EF was that we took a game, hosted it for a month and then were never able to rehost it, meaning at times we had to decide against hosting the games we liked, as we feared there was a better time for the one shot we had with it. Well no more!
We have lifted this clause of the EF and ulitmately redefined what the EF should focus on. Whilst in the old days, it was conceptiualized to elaborate different games for their suitability as an Official Game for the AJSA, we've now decided that the EF would integrate with the wider PC gaming. Now (quite similar to the consoles), we're hosting a different game every week, with the option to repeat popular games during the coming months (or whenever we feel like it). Usually these official EF events will be hosted during our usual time slot on every Saturday at 9pm BST/4pm EDT, however Game Hosts are free to alter that time to better suit their ability to host.
Aside from that, game hosts are encouraged to host smaller, more casual events during the off hours, whenever they have time and a game they want to test (Keep a lookout in the looking_for_group channel on Discord). Aside from that, we encourage members to also look for mates to join them in a game; maybe not as an event, but as a few mates gaming together,

    The EF Command Structure
With the relaunched EF, we're relying on Game Hosts. During the relaunch Brandykins1982 has stepped back from the EF to better focus on her new roles and Stream Team Captain and Commander, we wish her all the best of luck. We are relying on other members of the AJSA leadership, as well as our old guard for this new role, whilst I (Conan) oversee the game hosts and the running of the EF. Whilst we have our standard cadre of game hosts, we're also collaborating with other members of the AJSA leadership to fill in for this role on different occasions, though they will not partake in hosting events on a consistent basis. As such the current game hosts, which will host games on a more or less frequent basis are:

    Primary Game Hosts:
    Acepilot
    Conan
    Digs
    Eiousx
    Jayson

    Secondary Game Hosts:
    Balthazar
    Legolas_Katarn
    Tons0fun

The list of game hosts is open for other people to join our ranks. To become a game host we'd like to see:

Provided you fulfil the basic requirements, we may either approach you or you can approach us. We will then go ahead and evaluate your character and leadership potential and - provided we like what we see -  start grooming you for the position of a game host.

What follows is an explanation of what you can do on the forums and how to get involved with our console divisions.
Using the Forums and the AJSA Discord
In order to prevent spam or people advertising, new accounts are only allowed to make two posts during their first 24 hours of membership, once the 24 hours are up you will be able to post normally. Use that first day to take a look around the forums, check out the upcoming events we are planning to run, join the AJSA Discord channel, join the console groups if the option is available to you, and to personalize your profile.
How To: After joining the AJSA forums you can customize your profile by adding an avatar, signature, banner, and edit your about me section. By clicking on your username on the top right of the screen you can access a drop down menu where you can go to your profile or edit your account settings. If you click on profile you will be taken to your main profile page, an avatar can be uploaded by clicking on the "profile photo" button to the left of your username. To the right of your profile name is an edit profile and cover photo button, clicking on edit profile will open a tab where you can edit your information and about me setting, clicking on cover photo will allow you to upload a banner to your profile that will appear behind your banner. Choosing the account management button from your profile drop down menu will take you to a page where you can change your email, your password, and where you can edit a signature that will appear on the bottom of all your forum posts (please keep the length of your signature within reason).
The link to join the AJSA Discord can always be found in this thread and as the pinned tweet of the AJSA Twitter account. Once Discord is installed you can edit your avatar, profile, and voice settings by clicking on the gear icon near the bottom left of the app.
Where To: When creating threads on our forums please try to post things in the correct section, if something is placed in the wrong area a moderator or admin will move your thread to the correct place. The General Discussion forum is the place to talk about things that don't have their own dedicated section, you might talk about company news, a rumored game announcement that doesn't have an exclusive platform or genre attached to it, your favorite game mechanics, boss fights, stories, etc. Under the General section you can find sub-forums for off-topic discussions, which is where posts that have nothing to do with video games or the game industry go, and the AngryJoeShow section which is where discussions on Joe's content are to be posted. Community Content has sections for you to post your own work, this can include art, video content, written reviews, or links and schedules for times that you stream games. The Crowdfunding Campaigns forum is the place to share video game fundraising campaigns that you are interested in, these can cover sites like Kickstarter, Fig, Indiegogo, etc. Platform Gaming Central is for discussions on platform specific game events, to discuss news and updates focused on an individual platform, discussions of console exclusive games, if you want to talk about a specific version of a game, and tech help can be found in the PC section. Last Gens is the place to discuss any console or handheld games or systems from the 360/PS3/PSP era and before. Genre Gaming Central is the place to discuss PC games and multi-platform titles, if there is not a specific forum for the genre of the game you want to talk about or the game involves multiple genres use the Other Games section. Board & Role-Playing Games Central are for discussions of board and tabletop games.
The AJSA Discord includes multiple text and voice channels. The Announcements section is only able to be posted in by AJSA Admin and will be used to let everyone in the Discord know about upcoming gaming events, new articles on the AJSA homepage, important updates, and when Joe posts new reviews. General is the place to chat with other members. We have rooms to post videos and images, a place to talk about movies and TVs, and a spoiler room if you want to discuss plot elements of recently released games, movies, or TV episodes. The AJSA_Help room is for asking for help if you need to know something about the AJSA, if you need tech help, help with Discord, or have a similar issue you want to find help with. Stream_Team_Streams are for our Stream Team members to post announcements when their streams start. The General voice chat room is a place to go if you just want to talk to other members about games or random topics, the Gaming Rooms are for people to get together to play games at any time, and the other voice rooms are typically named after and reserved for our PC gaming events.
    Joining the Console Divisions
Playstation: The PlayStation 4 Division allows for two ways to interact with other AJSA members, we have the hub network of the AJSA Community Page and the immediate messages of the AJSA Chat Rooms. With access to both you will be able to interact with fellow AJSA PlayStation 4 members, receive community updates, and gain access to the PlayStation 4 Game Nights events. Game Nights are a weekly event series that the PlayStation 4 Division hosts, every Saturday features a different game that we encourage our members to get together to play.
How to join the PlayStation 4 AJSA Community Page and Chat Rooms
Submit your PSN ID over at PlayStation PSN ID List. Include games that you’re currently playing. Include games that you’re looking forward to playing. Wait up to 48 hours for your invite to be sent or accepted. If you find the Community Page and send a request to join it will not be accepted until you’ve followed the above steps. (Optional) Download the Android/Apple PlayStation Message App and Community App for your smart devices. Xbox: If you're interested in joining the Xbox One Division, no matter where you heard or found out about us there are a variety of ways for you to get involved and get started gaming with fellow members of the community. First and foremost, make sure you read and understand the Code of Conduct. This is what makes sure that we can game in a comfortable and fun environment!
Gamertag List: To get started, you can add your name (and games you like to play) to our Official Xbox One Gamertag List. This allows you to add other members right away and for people to add you as well.  Event Schedule & Gaming Activities: Check out our Weekly Events schedule. This is a guaranteed way for you to game quickly with and meet members of the community. These events are avenues for us to game, talk, laugh and have a good time in an organized group. Each event is led and organized by the 'Host'. The host is the person responsible for that event and is in charge of the group activities. They will make sure you are accounted for and get you in the group to play. Event Calendar: All AJSA events, including Xbox Weekly Events, are posted in the AJSA Event Calendar. We update the Xbox events for the week every Monday (EST). If you are having an issue with the community always contact the Commander that oversees that area before attempting to contact him.
DoctorEvil: Hello, as a member of the AJSA Council, I oversee the commanders and serve as a link between Angry Joe and the Command Staff.  I also run the AJSAGaming Twitter and manage things on the official AngryJoeShow Twitch Channel. Contact about most things should be directed to the Commanders below for their respective divisions, but if you have an issue with a current commander, that can be directed to me.

The Expeditionary Force is my main area of responsibility, which I oversee and organize. In that sense it falls onto me to make sure that events are scheduled regularly and are being supervised for the EF, but I also serve as the primary point of contact for it. Aside from that I am the AJSA liaison to our old allies TRAF, who currently provide an opportunity for AJSA members to play Planetside 2 in a organized manner. If you need to contact me, then message me here directly on the forum or send me a direct message on Discord. Hey guys, look who it is? It’s me, AverageSpacePope. No? No one remembers? Okay… moving on. Joking aside, I’m looking to pump some much needed support into viable games for the AJSA and with the help of the EF, I’m hoping to do just that, starting with, drum roll please... Warframe! (*Insert super expensive clap effect and GIF here*)

Now if you’re unfamiliar with Warframe you may be thinking, what the hell is Warframe? Short answer; Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter parkour heavy space ninja simulator. If that has you interested then read on. If you want any further information on the game, click this link here: https://www.warframe.com/game

Now to start things off, we’ll be starting our first event this Saturday 21:00 BST. However, this first event will basically a tutorial session. What do I mean? Well, Warframe has a very deep set of gameplay mechanics that, once understood, are very easy to use but are hard to master. In the first few hours of Warframe, the game will take you through a sequence of tutorial/story missions and it’s here where you’ll get to grips with the games mechanics and overall plot/theme. However, the game can be overwhelming for new players and that’s where I come in. I’ll be there to help out and answer any questions that people may have.

What if I’ve played the game before and don’t need any help? You’re welcome to turn up any time this month. We’ll be setting up a channel where anyone needing help or just wanting to party up can stay and chat. This is where we’ll be hosting all Warframe events from too.

I’m looking to give Warframe a real shot here in the AJSA. Hopefully, you guys and gals will give the game a shot and who knows, maybe it’ll become your new favourite game.

    SpacePope, over and out.

If you have any questions about Warframe, please contact AverageSpacePope. If you have any questions about the EF or any inquiries about current or upcoming EF supported games, please contact an EF representative.

Welcome to our community. Basically by signing up you already joined, but I guess socializing never hurts to make it official, right? You do not have to join any additional clan per se, but we usually have clans you can join in those games that support them (which we in turn are also supporting). Nonetheless you will probably be able to still play in those games with us, even without joining the clans.
Also if you want to play a game with the AJSA that isn't supported, you can enquire within out discord general chat whether anyone online would be interested to join you, or you can contact the High Command about hosting a Community Event for that game, both work.
Anyway, again welcome to our community and have fun whilst being here!

  19. Conan liked a post in a topic by madtragg in the life of a gamer
I've been part of the community for a few years now but never really introduced myself.  Prepare yourself for a long story.
I've been a gamer all my life, go by the gaming tag madtragg, I’m about 37 years old now. I joined the navy about 17 years ago,.  I grew up playing Nintendo, sega, pc and PlayStation.  I occasionally blog on the ign blog system.  I used to write a lot but it’s gone downhill because ign doesn't take care of it.  It gets spammed with ads and such.  There is a history with my gamer tag but maybe I’ll explain later on if anyone is interested.
Gaming life as a kid was great.  Nintendo was my first system.  I got it for xmas one year and was instantly hooked.  I used to go to the video rental store and rent games just about every weekend.  My family was poor so I couldn't always buy the game I wanted.  One of the most addicting games that I played on Nintendo, besides Mario, was River City Ransom.  I really wish they would do a remake on that game.  My friend and I had a blast playing that game.   After the snes came out, my grandpa gave me birthday money so I went out and bought one and sill continued to rent games.  I also had Zelda a link to the past.  I think I went through that game at least 5 or 6 times.  I even pretended to be sick so I could stay home from school and play it.  Also, another game I played was uncharted waters.  That game was amazing.  I rented that game so many times.
I never owned the Sega genesis but my sister's ex-husband did.  He would stay at my parents’ house from time to time and he had it with him and all his games.  The most addicting game on Sega was dune which got me in to RTS's.  Which brings me to the PlayStation.  I got birthday money again sometime after the PlayStation came out.  My friend called me up and told me that the comic store had a used one for sale.  So, we went there and bought it.  It was gaming heaven from there.  I got hooked on a lot of famous games from there including command and conquer.  I spent a lot of time in that game.  I really wish they would bring that series back and not screw it up like they did with the 4th one.  When red alert came out for the PlayStation, my friend also ended up getting a PlayStation.  Well red alert was 2 players if you had a link cable. My friend lived right down the street so I would bring my tv over and my PlayStation and we hooked up and played against each other. It was so much fun.  Other games that I played were, twisted metal, xcom, metal gear, gameday 97, need for speed, civilization and so on.
As I progressed through high school, I really needed a pc for doing homework on.  My grandma gave me money to buy one.  After I got one, I got the command and conquer series and played it nonstop.  After playing civilization on PlayStation, I had to get it for pc and I played every single one that came out.  Even the knock off ones, call to power.  Which were good too. I also got hooked in to StarCraft which was fun playing multiplayer.
My internet provider was AOL and there was a main gaming community called ANT.  For some reason, a disgruntled member of that group got mad and created a group called wasp.  They would just flood their chat rooms with spam and had these programs that messaged bomb them kicking them offline.  Was a total online war between the groups.  I got in to it, joined wasp, and had fun.  It kind of died down quick but it was a blast.  After that, we would play online games together such as StarCraft.  Wasp became popular and they started sending out gaming newsletters and reviews and such.  I did a little bit of the reviews but it wasn't much of my thing.
After I graduated high school, about 6 months later I went to navy boot camp.  It was a complete life change from there.  I was on my own and my first tour was japan.  After I got to japan, we immediately deployed for 3 months on a carrier.  I was part of a squadron.  After I got back from deployment, I had quite bit of money saved up so I bought a laptop so I could play games.  My pc back at home was too big to bring with me anyway.  As for my PlayStation, I had to get my brother to mail it to me.  When PlayStation 2 got announced, I had to get one.  It was hard to get one being in japan, unless I bought a Japanese one which were overpriced.  So, I got on amazon which was sold out most of the time.  They had special times when they would sell it because they would get more in stocked.  I got lucky and was able to buy it.  I had a problem with amazon though, they didn't want to ship it overseas so I had to change my shipping address to my sister's address so she can mail it to me.  For some reason, my PlayStation 2 would just not ship.  I had to constantly bug amazon about it and finally they figured out the problem and shipped it.  One day I’m at work and I get it in the mail.  My coworkers freak out because I have one and it was the greatest thing ever because it was so hard to get one.  They had to come to my barracks room to play it too.
As for games on ps2, I really enjoyed, twisted metal black, ffx, madden 2000, GTA 3, ff12, need for speed most wanted, gran turismo, and so on.   After I got married my gaming time slowed down a lot.
When ps3 came out, I hesitated on getting one because it was $600 but I still wanted one.  I waited a few months and they were still kind hard to get.  I was in Walmart one day, and I saw one.  I went home and told my wife, that I want to get it.  I had to convince her but we went back to Walmart and got it.  After I purchased it, she still wanted to shop around, so I 'm walking around Walmart guarding my ps3.  Ps3 really changed console gaming. Making online player easier to get in to. The first game on ps3 that I got hooked too was War hawk.  I had so much fun playing that game.  Kind of like battlefield but different setting.  The next game I really enjoyed was Killzone 2.  The multiplayer was addicting.  The game had a class system you leveled up, with the snipers, you can turn invisible.  The engineers, you get different types of tech to use, such as turrets and drones.  The tactician had a spawn grenade which could change the outcome of a match.  Best pvp I played. I was somewhat disappointed with killzone 3 because it didn't have all the same things as killzone 2 did.  Call of duty modern warfare was good, I was amazed by the graphics and the multiplayer was addicting.  I started to lose interest in the game though after MW2 and black ops.  So many good games on ps3, it’s hard to talk about them all.
Next is my ps4.  I waited a year to get one because every time a new console comes out, not much games are released.  When I saw the white ps4 destiny bundle, I knew it was time to get one.  A lot of people were talking about how amazing destiny was going to be so I wanted to get it too.  After playing the destiny beta though, I knew it wasn't going to live up to the hype everyone was bragging about.  But since it came with the white ps4, I still got it.  Even though the game got average to bad reviews, I really enjoyed the game.  I spent 2 months playing it.  Took a break from it, and then go back when a dlc comes out for it.  I really enjoy the pvp.  A lot of people hate on it but I really think it’s fun because of the special abilities.
Other ps4 games that I enjoy, there is a lot. BF1, battlefront, ffxv, uncharted 4 and the collection, witcher 3, fallout 4, gta 5, the last of us, overwatch and so on.  A lot of people love overwatch, and it is great game.  Unfortunately, I’m not addicted to it.  I still like it but I don't have an itch to play it all the time.
As for battlefront, this game got a lot of hate because it was rushed and people had expectations of battlefront 2.  I never played battlefront 2, I wish I did because I heard it was amazing.  To be honest, battlefront is a fun multiplayer.  Dice did a good job on the details.  You'll hear rebels yelling out storm troopers in the area, or someone yelling for the rebellion.  It’s fun playing with the rebels and the imperials and I enjoy the game a lot.  I realize EA got greedy with the game with the dlcs and rushing it out the door but it’s still a good game. I love going back to it.  If you ever seen cloud city maps, the detail is just gorgeous.  Especially inside the carbon chambers.
After I got my ps4, I decided to join with AJSA.  I saw how groups would get on and play together and that interested me a lot.  The community is ran pretty well and the game nights are pretty fun.  I recommend joining in and if you have the time.  They try to do a lot of free to play games too.  I participated every weekend in November and had a blast.  I would volunteer to be a game night host but having a fulltime job and a family doesn’t really mix in to well with being able to host.
    Thank you for your time.

Hi, I am Jack, I am very excited to join this community finally. I am completely new to this type of gaming community as usually I just play solo but games like Battlefield 4 and 1 have sparked my interest. So in order to get better, I thought it would be best to join the Angry Army because I have followed Angry Joe on youtube for a couple years now. I play mainly on PS4 but I do have a steam account as well. I hope to improve myself as a gamer through this community. My PSN is CaptGinger47 and my Steam is CaptGinger.
