Ah yes, the monitor error. My old nemesis.

I had these happen a lot in the past. Metro 2033, Obscure and Total Overdose are the worst offenders. The solution is to find a way to force them into windowed mode, and it's different with every games.

This is how you do it in Darkest Dungeon.

  14. Alexander452 liked a post in a topic by Apex Spartan in Quake Champion a Hero Shooter!?!?
As a person who likes Overwatch and I enjoy it, as long as you copy something in big success, then I'm all for it. I find it a lot more diverse with characters than I ever found TF2 and the artstyle of maps and map design fits me more. I enjoyed TF2 a lot, but I got bored and OW is a nice refreshment. Of course I got bored of TF2, I had 700h in it...

Speaking of Quake Heroes, like some people said, it's the popular thing right now. "Hero shooters" aka team-based first person shooters are the thing now, just like MOBA games were last 5-6 years. Quake has always been a game that's shifts and never stays original. There was first Quake which was like dark-fantasy medieval setting or something, Quake 2 was in space, Quake 3:Arena was purely MP, Quake 4 was focused on SP again and like a sequel to Quake 2 or prequel, I don't remember and then there was Quake Wars, a Battlefield-like version just set in Quake universe.

Now they see a new profit in the "hero shooter" setting so they aiming for it. Hey, if they nail it well, I'll play it. One game won't always exist in one genre. FPS genre is probably the most used and hardest genre to get right or innovate as there is so, so many of them and so many of them are already good, so adding these heroes with abilities seems to be the new thing to do and it's kind of working, again, look at Overwatch now and TF2 back in the day.

I always loved fast-paced shooters, which is why I enjoyed Quake and Unreal back in the days. I also enjoy these quirky sci-fi settings and I enjoy when a game offers you a variety of characters to play so I MIGHT enjoy of Quake Heroes if they nail it right.

In the spirit of gaming, I wanted to share this giveaway I found. It's from a sight that sells Shirts, Gloving tools (those gloves that have lights on them and you do cool light shows in the dark) and other accessories. If the Forum doesn't want this post on here, I totally understand and will take it down if asked or will not mind if it suddenly disappears. But I just figured that it would be fun to have us all do some kind of Giveaway thing ya know?
Submissions end on the 10th of August (That's a Wednesday) and will be announced on the 12th!
This is some kind of Limited Edition version of the system, so I think it comes with extra Bells and Whistles. Though it doesn't say what that includes, it seems to come with a game book with art in it and maybe some kind of metal case?
Good luck to anybody that wants to try and win!

The entire Brother's in Arms Series. A true military shooter that never got the attention it really deserved and ultimately ended in a humiliating demise.
    Such a shame.

    RAGE
Yeah, the ending was anticlimactic and it was quite linear, but what do you expect from ID? They aren't masters of storytelling. They're THE master of great games... without much story. (Ever gotten a chance to see the "Doom Bible" that was discarded and later used in bits for ROTT?)

But I fucking LOVE this game. It looks great, even still, and the mechanics are great. (I'm ignoring that the multiplayer was essentially just racing. In my eyes, there is no multiplayer)
