  1. Hello fellow AngryArmy members! I'm a here to tell you who I am. My usual tag name in games is Neserra. I'm a 20 year-old student from the Northern Wastes of Finland. After almost four years without proper gaming, I decided to get back into it. First I got my computer and internet working, it's not much, but it will do. Afterwards got myself a PS3. My passion, with gaming, is music. Boy do I LOVE music. If you have interesting bands that I should check out, please do. My music very open, I can jump from Blues to Black Metal and from there to Classical Victorian music and back to Brutal Death Metal. Even at times, some mainstream, made for money music, gets to me. So please, links bellow! Any who; Gaming was a huge part of my life when I was 10-15, sadly, my Xbox360 broke, so from a semi-poor family, I had to give up from gaming, until I moved on my own at the age of 19. About the games I own I own just a few games I had extra money to spend on (these are multiplayer only) PS3: GTA V, Borderlands 2 PC: Torchlight II, MW1, LotRO, Neverwinter, LoL, Planetside 2 (Zero hours in that game) Also have access to MW3, but wasn't a fan of that game. I love RPG games, Mass Effect is one for example. Fable TLC, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim and MGS3 are few of the Offline games I own. One of the first games I played were Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and Tombi (Tomba in America.) I'm looking for a solid community, team players and people who can take in a rusty "veteran" of the gaming war. "Joe, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Joe... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!" See you in the field!
  2. Hey guys. I was wondering if enyone else from the AJSA makes music? I make music myself but its more of a job then a hobby. tunes that i make for fun get uploaded on newgrounds check my latest ones out if you have time for that : I am lightning and Another Dimension but enyway reply to the thread and link me to your tunes if you produce music because i would love to listen to them;D
  3. Alright, I bring this up because I noticed today the way I relate the band alt-J to League of Legends. The moment I hear their music I start thinking of League and the character I often play while listening to them, Jayce. Similarly said is how I associate Fuel by Metallica to Test Drive: Off-Road Wide-Open. And again Massive Attack/Noisia to EVE Online. So what about you guys? Do you have a musical association that correlates between tune and controller trigger? I wanna hear it, let loose!
  4. With the line up announced yesterday, is anyone here thinking about going? I know i would love to go.
  5. Greeting my fellow brothers and sisters of this army! I haven't been around alot, posted alot or anything similar to it, but i have been wondering, does this community takes kindly to music, soundtrack, poems, etc... I just not long ago started to write some blessings that looked kinda...poetic, so i took that as a hobby, and thought to start making up poems, i'm not going to say, i'm a professional, but music was a great part of my life, and i enjoy listening to it...made some covers on youtube...really few, again started not long ago...that information is kinda irrelevant... Anyway, why is your opinion about music? do you enjoy listening to it, do you like video game soundtracks, their music, the power it creates in you when you listen to it? and what kind you usually listen? (for me it's rock, metal, classic, orchestra, pop and sometimes really old jazz) Unfortunately i'm no composer which means i cannot create my own songs, i can write the words, but to add the music, i just envy sometimes those who can do it, these people have talent, i'm a listener, i stand on the side and listen. I'm probably wasting your time reading all of this, although i would be grateful for you opinion. I'm not sure what else to add on this topic, wished i had something on mind, which could be more bright, but i thank you for the patience and your will to share. Best regards! P.s: apologies for the bad grammar\spelling, English isn't my first language, so i may have made some mistakes...
  6. I just wanted to know what your favorite piece of music in a video game was *cough* just gonna leave this here
  7. So I've seen lots of topics in this forum asking us whats our favorite video game song or soundtrack but never how important it is. So how important is music in videogames to you? Is it so important you turn it all the way up and anything else all the way down? Is it just an annoyance and you turn it off completley? How important is music to you and why?
  8. I couldnt find any topics like this and I wanted to know what type of music do you generally listen to while playing games or do you even listen other music than the one in the game? I like chillstep because it relaxes me and Im more focused on the game.
  9. Well I know is not precisely you usual kind of FanArt but it is still art, an arrangement i did of a Shadow of The Colossus Song called The Opened Path (or Way) https://soundcloud.com/caal-15/the-opened-path-master
  10. So hello Guys, i haven't come here in a while, since i have been incredibly busy since i got back to college, but I finally got around and recorded Some Video Game Music for a project of mine dedicated to convert classic video Game Soundtracks into Rock and Metal arrangements, here's the first one already shiny and mastered The Opened Way (or Path) from Shadow of the Colossus, I hope you enjoy it, gonna be posting a youtube video soon, but for now it's up on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/caal-15/the-opened-path-master
  11. So guys, I know we've got a few concert-goers in here. What are some of the concerts you've been to lately or are planning to go to? Who was there, how was the experience, did you get into the pit or were you back out on the grass? The last concert I was at was the MMRBQ, 2013. Amazing line up of locale and big name bands. Soundgarden and Alice in Chains were headlining. Cheap Trick, Device, Buckcherry and the locales Kid Felix were there to grace the stage for a damn fine day of great music. Sadly it started raining as Cheap Trick came on, which washed out some of the folk from the start. It was later on in Alice in Chains' bid that we had to cut out too - our group didn't hear about the rain so we were all in shorts and light shirts. We did fine for a while until it started getting really damn cold where we ended up calling off and heading home.Never got to see Soundgarden but from a few friends that were there and were prepared, they kicked ass. As for concerts I'm looking to go to, there's a Walk off the Earth show coming up in Philly later next year - definitely want to be there for that. Along with the next MMRBQ, nothing for the line up yet but they haven't let us down in the past. So again, what about you folk? What other concerts have the AJSA invaded lately? Fire away!
  12. I downloaded the demo version of Traktor 2, a day or two ago and have been playing around with it. I'll be producing a lot more youtube content over the next month or two and I think it would be fun to build some of my own remix tracks for the show. (Not to mention all of the copyright bullshit with music even when you use royalty free tracks... ) Anyone here do a lot of remixes or like to play around with this kind of stuff. I've always loved sound editing and I kind of find it relaxing to play with a track and rework how it feels.
  13. Which RPG game has the best soundtrack. For me, it's a tie between Fallout 3 and Skyrim.
  14. Currently on my channel, you'd expect lots of music, as I've taken it up as a hobby. The kinds of music you'd see would vary from 8bit/chiptune to orchestral (I use a lot of soundfonts so expect it to sound shitty) as a result of my video gaming influences (So expect alot of my music to sound like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda) If anyone wants to use this music for a video, just ask. Here's an example of some of the music you'd expect: I also do some Assassins Creed Black Flag Multiplayer commentary with a few useful videos, currently I've been playing a shitload of Domination and in most rounds winning with clear victories. Unfortunately the video editor I used fucked up somewhere (or I did) and left some pitch modifications so... whatever.

  16. Im sure i heard it before played by some scottish pipers, and id be really happy if you could help me find it. Any idea what it may be?
  17. Hello all! I was searching the internet and I found this bad-ass remake of the LoD soundtrack in metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWZh_fVKQ6A&list=LLEs9wrPKxp-8ON1yiZCNDzA&feature=mh_lolz Support this if you can guys. Anyway it would be cool if we did a fan dub of the dialogue in a Legend of dragoon playthrough. This would be so epic. The way I was thinking we could handle this was first correcting dialogue. The dialogue in the game was full of translation errors from Japanese. If we find different people who can play roles of main characters or even misc. characters that would be great. This is an open letter to all you LoD fans. We can discuss further details I had in mind after some people have posted some. I'll edit this thread so if people do start wanting to do this then we can list the roles he/she wants to portray.
  18. So there are some games with really good and fitting soundtracks and there are others that aren't, but what I want to know is, if you could put a song into any video game, what would it be and why? My personal favorite is Run Boy Run by Woodkid. Now this song is on the new WoW advert I believe but in my opinion Assassins Creed would be a better choice for the song, that and Woodkid has done stuff for AC in the past, their song Iron was in the Revelations trailer, which fitted perfectly with the tone.
  19. Hello, its me again. Would you be so helpfull, and put me on track of some "fresh" music? I Mainly listen to some hard genres, metal mostly, or hardrock. But, as the IroN Maidens or Blind Guardian are no doubt the giants, you can listen to them over and over again for eternity. I like to listen to Bob Marley, and Damian Marley, so here's what im looking for: Some new, fresh metal bands. Can be in style of Rammstein. Also, some nice music genres mixup's like Rap+reggae Metal+electronic or dubstep (something like Korn's Path to Totality) Metal+Rap Reggae+electronic\dubstep (something like MArley's and Skrillex "Make it bun Dem". But with less WUB WUB and more actually singing. it should be energyzing.) Can you help?
  20. You heard that right. What movie soundtrack you feel is perfect for video game, and what game would that be in what scenario? I think Gravity's song at the end is absolutely perfect for Mass Effect 2's ending sequence. Or Dead Space 3's final battle.
  21. This is a Diss I wrote towards big money companies, including chains like Kroger, that have restrictive policies and widespread paranoia, and bigger companies like Youtube, for the bullshit ID Tagging changes that are putting the Angry Joe Show, and many other honest Critic Shows at risk of getting shut down (due to lack of monetization rights.) Guy's seriously...we gotta stop this shit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvIrUM2ZIno
  22. How are you guys when it comes to listening to music? I think I might be a little more "strange" than most people I see in public when it comes to music. Whenever I listen to music, I normally like to be alone in a room with the lights out. As I listen to it, I let my imagination wonder, and the things I imagine differ depending on the song I'm listening to. A violent song will have me think violent things. A peaceful and happy song will make me think of uplifting scenarios, etc. It gets even better for me whenever I can heavily feel the emotion being conveyed to me, and that can go with other things as well. Like movies. I get this pleasant feeling in my head when I can heavily sense whatever emotion is being sent to me. It happens mostly with music... I really love music. What I do whenever I'm going to really get into the music I like and want to listen to, is listen to a crappy song first. It accentuates how good the song I like is and it makes it 10x better lol. I enjoy doing it. Example: What I think is crap: And what I think is good: I like rap music as you can tell by the examples above. I listen to other genres a little bit as well. If you don't like the same stuff I do, don't blatantly insult my taste and I won't insult yours (I won't insult yours either way.) So what about you guys? What kind of music do you like, and how do you like to listen to it? Do you do anything similar to what I do when enjoying your tunes?
  23. Ok well one of my friends in my Music Theory 102 class decided to show me this video and well...it is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Seriously if you get a chance check it out. I do not own it but I think everyone should see it. Enough said, let the Funk begin.
  24. So, post away at the music you game to the most! Do you have a specific playlist, do you just turn on the radio, fire away I want to hear it! Edit: These are all great guys, love the interest in classical music as well. As for the amount of songs I have on my playlist specifically? Uh, about 4-5 days worth without any repeats. I have sub-lists for different games and genres. The styles of which range from classical music all the way to rock back down to club tunes to dubstep to everything, really. Anything and everything is on there and I often just end up tossing together playlists on the fly. So here's another question - do you listen to the in-game music or do you like your own playlist better? Link the song you like to hear the most while you game as well, for me it's been Radioactive by Imagine Dragons lately.
  25. favorite genre and 5 bands your currently really into? Death metal deeds of flesh thulcandra pyrexia Angra wretched
