  2. After EA's conference last year pretty much said look forward to this year, many people are cautiously optimistic regarding EA at this year's E3. With Star Wars , Mass Effect and Mirrors Edge all looking very likely for this years conference EA have a good chance at being the standout Conference of this year Known . Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay Trailer . Mass Effect 4 Trailer . Mirrors Edge Trailer . New Need for Speed . Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion (now confirmed to be called Knights of the fallen empire) . PVZ Garden Warfare 2 . SPORTS SPORTS AND MORE SPORTS Rumored . Bioware's Star Wars Game teaser . 3. After a rather good year for Microsoft with them managing to turn round the disappointing launch of the X-Box One. Microsoft will be hoping to keep up the momentum with this years E3 and try to overtake Sony or at least take a sizable chunk out of their lead, luckily they have a lineup of titles that have the potential to do so. Known . Halo 5 .Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 . Gears of War Remastered . Tomb Raider (Timed Exclusive) Rumoured . Gears of War 4 teaser . Assassins Creed might turn up here as they did last year . Metal Gear Solid 5 (appeared last year might do so again... if not then at Sony's) Unlikely . Quantum Break (still heavily in development might skip this year may get a brief mention) . That stupid Microsoft buying Silent Hills rumor turning out to be real Feel free to discuss this conference below
  4. Nintendo having the best conference of 2014 will be hoping to repeat the feat this year with another one of their Nintendo Directs. One sad omission from this years conference will be the new Zelda game which has been confirmed as not appearing. Known . Mario Maker . New Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rumored . New Star Fox Trailer . Mario Kart DLC . Smash Bros DLC . Unannounced 3DS Titles Feel Free to discuss this conference below
  5. With E3 only a few days away, I want to know what your dream announcements will be this year or even at a future E3? For me personally, these are some of the games I would love to be announced (in some shape or form): -Rockstar's Agent -A sequel to Bully -A new Getaway title (for the PS4) -A new Syphon Filter (for the PS4 &/or Vita) -A new SOCOM game -Dragons Dogma Online (western release) -A new Splinter Cell or Ghost Recon -Whore of the Orient -A new Wipeout (for the PS4) -A new Far Cry: Blood Dragon sequel (or something in that style) -Star Wars 1313 (I really hope Visceral continued working on this, or at least something similar!) -Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Do you think any of these are possible, or am I just overly wishful?
  6. For the last 4 - (maybe) 5 years, I have watched the coverage on GameTrailers.com, but I was thinking about switching to YouTube's coverage this year (as it is their first). So which stream will you guys be watching for this years E3 Press Conferences?
  7. All E3 related posts in General Discussion or In The News (unless they are in a game's existing sub-forum) will be moved to the E3 Sub-forum! http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/forum/100-e3-central/
  8. With E3 being soon, Rumor are has it that Dark Souls 3 might be announced. With this reveal many would expect a 'Souls' game to be mulyiplatform as all the other ones were. And yet here lies the problem: Bloodborne. Bloodborne is the most recent 'Souls' game, (don't pretend like it isn't) and yet it is also available to only a third of it's potential player base. If there were to be a multiplatform Dark Souls 3,it would be essentially competing with...itself aka Bloodborne. I know they're different games but they're both 'Souls' games and both made by the same company, and you can be sure Sony has an interest in keeping 'Souls' games exclusive, which brings up this dilemma. A fractured player base and competiting games that are both technically part of the same franchise.
  9. E3 2015 is just a couple of months away and there are a ton of games waiting to be revealed to all of us. What are you guys excited for? Just leave your votes here and leave a comment on why. I'd like to know.
  10. Assassins Creed Unity has been confirmed for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One in Winter 2014. It will be set in France during the French Revolution (Which lasted from 1789 to 1799). Ubisoft said they have been working on the new Assassins Creed game for over three years now and want to give a true next generation AC game. Ubisoft have also announced two demos have been prepared for E3. Single Player Campaign and a 4 Person Coop Campaign. They also said that Coop won't be like in previous games, it will have it's own campaign. Am really excited to see what is revealed at E3 2014. AC IV: BF improved nearly every complaint I had about Assassins Creed III so I think the series is going to improve again in Unity. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I love the Assassins Creed games, have been playing them since Assassins Creed II and am really excited to see where the series goes after where Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag left it. Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is definitely my favourite in the series, it looks beautiful and there is so much do to in the amazing looking open world. The game added a lot of new combat features/weapons that make it look great, especially how Edward used the environment in combat. The story was amazing in both Present day and during The Golden Age of Piracy. The story telling was done really well and the present day was great as an introduction so I'd love to see more happen in present day in Unity. A lot of people say Assassins Creed II is the best, the rooftops and narrow crowed streets were repetitive seeing them over again. I did love the story, side missions and a lot about the game and it's my second favourite but there are a lot of features not in this game and the combat isn't very great. The only weapons Ezio had were Double Hidden Blade, Sword, Throwing Knifes and Hidden pistol. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Check out the teaser for AC: Unity here: Sources: http://gamerant.com/assassins-creed-unity-4-player-coop/ https://twitter.com/shinobi602/statuses/457327029198000128 https://twitter.com/shinobi602/statuses/457327902636642304
  11. Well E3 has come and gone, quite some time too, not sure if there's any other forums like this, but there are plenty of games coming out this year that we're looking forward to, what are yours, mine would be Zelda WiiU, Bloodborne, Hyrule Warriors, Uncharted 4 and Super Smash Bros. WiiU
  12. Almost every generation of consoles has always followed the same issue as it's predecessors; one that even stands the test of time this year at e3, and it's something that, if developers and companies realized it, could be fixed to improve the gaming experience for everyone. Each year at e3, when new games are shown off, especially with gameplay, furthered by the hype of a new generation and consoles, people tend to let all of that excitement pollute their brands with false hopes, don't be ashamed, it's natural. We see an awesome new concept for a game, one that's really never been done before, and we're promised it'll deliver on it's hype, but have you noticed it hardly ever does? It's not fully the developer's fault, our fault, or the publisher's fault, in comes in time limits and budget. These developers throw out the news of what their new game is going to be based on, but they're still developing it, and the more hype and pre-orders a game receives, it can lead to the publisher trying to release the game as fast as possible, especially around times such as the Holidays or long break periods for students and employees alike. My advice? If you pre-order a game, don't pick it up on day one of release, wait a day or two. See the reviews for it and if it turns out to be utter crap, cancel and get your money back, you'll avoid the pain of disappointment and you'll get your cash back. Don't let cheesy gimmicks and pretty graphics fool you, know what you're getting into before you throw all of your money away.
  13. Ok so E3 has passed and we all saw the newest games that are coming out, but what game that you saw from Nintendo are you looking forward to the most, or maybe it's a game that's on the WiiU or 3DS but are also on other consoles, if they have any 3rd party support, but for me, the game I'm looking forward to the most from Nintendo is the upcoming Zelda WiiU
  14. So...Nintendo unveiled 3 new IPs at E3. Project Guard, Giant Robot, and Splatoon. Not gonna lie, but Splatoon just straight up looks fun. I don't know how "deep" the game is, but I get the feeling you'll have a lot of fun if you pick it up and play online. Project Guard and Giant Robot look interesting as well. Project Guard seems to be this weird take on turret defense. Seems real interesting and I want to see how it develops. The, in my opinion, most interesting game has gotta be Giant Robot. This game has a lot of interesting ideas behind it and has the potential to be ridiculously awesome. The gameplay footage shown at E3 is fairly early in development, so they lack the Nintendo polish their finished games do, but they already have me intrigued, to say the least. Also, I notice all of these games seem to have a multiplayer focus, but I wonder if any of these games will have single player modes and some cool new characters to add to the Nintendo family. Again, early in development and could simply be in the works right now. Overall, I'm fairly impressed Smash Bros, Yoshi's Wooly World, Captain Toad, X, Mario Party 10, Zelda U, Hyrule Warriors, New Star Fox, 3 New IPs, Bayonetta 2 release date and I'm probably missing something, but this was a great E3 for Nintendo. Treehouse was dumb though.
  15. The last IP revealed by Nintendo is for 3DS and developed by Intelligent Systems, called Code Name: STEAM. A turn-based strategy game in a steam punk world. http://www.polygon.com/2014/6/11/5802174/code-name-steam-nintendo-3ds-shigeru-miyamoto
  16. I've been watching the E3 interviews Joe has uploaded and I was just thinking that he would really benefit from having dual microphones so he doesn't have to worry about switching it back and forth between himself and the person he's speaking with. It would definitely cut out those moments where you don't quite hear a response or miss a question that is asked. I can say I definitely appreciate the manner in which he asks just the questions I would have had in my thoughts about plenty of these games.

  23. E3 is still on and maybe you might care little or a lot about it. So, if you missed or want a recap of the games and announcements for this year and 2015, this is the right place to start! In my opinion, Microsoft went too safe this year. Only games, forgetting almost completely the Kinect (I ain't even mad) and showcase the next gen games that will be offered exclusively to Next Gen consoles. Only real highlight was Halo 5 and the Master chief Collection only because it was one of the few exclusive games from Microsoft. OH! And they had the NERVE to put TEASE FREAKING CONKER ON a possibly E rated game!? THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!! Sony went again and made fun on Microsoft's 180s and peripherals, at this time I don't know if I should feel bad for Microsoft or call Sony a genius in their marketing department. They did show more exclusive games to their Next Gen console and more about Destiny's Alpha and Beta and the content in the game. They talked a lot about hardware and more additions to the PS+. Solid conference. I... I liked it... I liked it? Nintendo, take my freaking money! Must see to believe. Wow, not a full conference but holy hell... AMAZING! The first time I regret not having a WiiU. What do you think of this conference? Were good conferences? What stood out from all these games? Who won? Who is Next? You Decide! EPIC E3 CONFERENCES OF HISTORY!? Comment, discuss, video response, we will talk about it... next time. Don't forget you can get your intro here on The Viewer by sending me a video response on YouTube! 25. So anyone looking forward to Platinum's next title Scalebound? Edit:So after looking at the trailer over a few times I saw similarities between the shown hero and different aspects of past Devil May Cry Dantes and Nero excluding DMC Dante. These similarities are he wields a big sword (I know so do hundreds of other action hero protagonists let me get into more detail first before commenting) has short white hair (let me finish.) wears headphones around neck that play lets call it electric metal for now akin to Nero from Devil May Cry 4, has a super power mode that gives him armor that makes him look like a pretty badass looking Devil Trigger design and it's going to be (and I'm not just assuming I'm going off Platinum's game dev history) a high octane action game. So do you think Scalebound will be the next Devil May Cry or no? Thoughts comments theories you know where they go love to hear from ya.
