  1. So for the first thread I've bothered to make myself on this forum I thought I'd ask for some suggestions from any of my fellow PC guys and gals out there in finding a replacement from my ATI Radeon HD 5870 which is, sadly, got an issue with it's fan making it loud as hell and annoying to play games with. I've looked into upgrading my card before, but I'm short on cash and can't make up my mind. So...any suggestions as to what card I should look into getting? It can't be over $300 sadly as I need the most of my pay check to go to bills.
  2. A game that has recently grabbed my attention as well as many other people, is a recently greenlit steam title known as No more room in Hell, it is for lack of a better word, a realistic version of the popular left 4 dead series of games. This game is ONLY meant for people who can understand the value of working as a team, as there are multiple consequences for people keeping to themselves, objectives may not get completed, death, and worst of all and the most interesting, is the infection system in which zombie bitten players will quickly find themselves joining the ranks of undead as they cannibalize there former friends. Did I mention it was Free? Trailer:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdmkLYYR1K4 With that being said, lets take a better look at the pros and the cons: PROS: GREAT FOR TEAMBUILDING. Can get pretty suspenseful. Interesting Infection Mechanic Hammer Editor Support(Custom maps) Nice Balance between realism and game play CONS: 8 Players per Server Can be a little difficult at times The AI can be a little stupid at times Not much Customization or Zombie variation (ATM)
  3. I feel like a lot of people forget about this game so who remembers this game or played it? Mugen Link if you want to try It out: http://www.elecbyte.com/ What Mugen is about Mugen is a PC fighting game where you can create your own characters, stages, and your own fighting game , or you can download them from various sites.
  4. I just wanted to share my celebratory feelings right now. There's no greater satisfaction than dealing with a PC for nearly a year being barely functional, then saving up the appropriate dosh after carefully choosing your replacement components, receiving them, installing them, and then having to do a fresh Windows install (which, funnily enough, the hardest part is Windows thanks to how draconian it is) and then after all is said and done... everything runs as smoothly as an ice cube down Preston Lacey's tummy. It feels so invigorating to finally adequately game on my PC once more. Although, for some reason, Chivalry is still giving me shit, but I will have to figure that out on my own. I had to juggle wether to post this here or in the general discussion section, but I'm more interested in knowing what other PC players felt was intensely gratifying. I have to admit I'm partially new to PC gaming. I had played plenty of games on PC as I grew up but never truly joined the master race until September of 2012. So I'm curious, does anyone have any cozy warm nostalgic (or more recent) moments of victory?
  5. I'm looking to get a more into PC Gaming and want some advice on good Gaming Hardware/Software for PC. Unfortunately my PC knowledge is next to 0. As far as what I'm using right now; System; Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Computer; AMD Athlon [tm] 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5600+ 2.81 GHz, 2.00 GB of Ram That's just the General information. Not sure how much that will help, but it's about as much as I know. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. So what type of internet speeds would pc gamers recommend to have a nice experience with online gaming. So like Playing games like Fps or other genres?
  7. I don't know if anyone can shed light on this, but I may as well ask. My notebook has been acting bandit. I click on a web like, doesn't really matter what, it happens everywhere, and it often seems to load the webcode and display the text from the webpage, but fail to load the graphics. A click on the refresh button solves it, and the page displays as normal, but this id doing my head in. It could be just because my internet connection is a bit slow, but this didn't happen with my old laptop. Any help you can offer is appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, I'm TurretSyndrome and I just arrived on these forums. Even though this is my first time here, I know about AngryJoe very well, I watched a lot of his reviews and stuff and frequent his Youtube channel a lot. For a while now, I've been trying to find a way to forward a game that I love and have played for more than 6 years, to Joe. It's because I watched a lot of his gameplays and reviews that I'd like him to check it out, and I think he's going to like it a lot too. It's not a big title(nowhere near) and very few people actually know that it exists, but it deserves a much bigger fanbase than it currently has. The game is called Legions: Overdrive and this is the site for it. The game is of FPS-Z genre and it's gameplay is similar to the Tribes series or their newest successor Tribes: Ascend. If you want to check it out, the game's download is only around 500 mb and doesn't require a super high end PC to turn it. The best thing about this game is; it's free. This is because this game is not being developed by a game company or anything. It's being developed and maintained by it's ever so small and loyal community. The servers are also being run by the community. Legions: Overdrive also doesn't require any accounts to be made, you just need to download the client, let it download all the files and just play. You can host your own servers, record and share demo files of in-game footage etc, all information on these things can be found in the game's forums. Here are some of the tutorials made by players over the years, the game has changed quite a bit ever since it was launched all the back in 2008 but the epic gameplay experience this game provides never diminished. You can decide whether you want to download the game after watching the below videos. This is the most basic guide to the game, it covers the basic movement and how Legions works in general. http://youtu.be/20SdD6truKI This tutorial talks about various aspects of the game. It's a Tribes-veteran friendly guide, so if you've played Tribes: Ascend or any of the Tribes games of old, please check this out.(you can watch it even if you're not a Tribes vet). The game's most unique and celebrated trait is it's skiing and flying mechanics. This guy talks about how one can make use of the more finer parts of the movement mechanics and get the best out of them. (for some reason this one does not embed?) That's all for now, if you want to know more about the game, let me know here or you can check out the forums at forums.legionsoverdrive.com. P.S. I did not create this account just to advertise for this game, I'm just a Legions veteran, not part of it's developing team or anything. I genuinely wanted to become a member here. Anyway, I hope you guys like it, and I seriously hope this game gets into AngryJoe's sights, he's one of the coolest gamers and game reviewers out there, peace.
  9. Anyone still play this game? I remember playing it at PAX East last year and loved it. Finally getting back into it agin so if anyone wants to join me, hit me up here or on Steam.
  10. Starbound's beta has launched not so long ago, and its one of the most played steam games already, its open world and multiplayer makes it one of the most fun to play with friends games of all time. Pros:- Open world sandbox- Easy to learn- Supports parties and multiplayer with many players Cons:- Still Beta- Limited at the moment- Server needed for multiplayer

  12. Hello everyone! I recently made a post asking for advice on buying a gaming laptop, but after putting thought into it, I think I would be better off building a gaming PC. Now, I've never built a PC before, and so far I've only read this article http://lifehacker.com/5840963/the-best-pcs-you-can-build-for-600-and-1200. I'm leaning in the direction of building something a little bit over their 600$ rig (maybe bump up the graphics card) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Good guides, where to buy parts from, what companies to avoid buying from? Thanks!
  13. I built a new beast PC a couple of weeks back after deciding to abandon the "next gen" consoles. I played a few Team Deathmatches on BF4 to check how my mouse/keyboard skills are... they seem to be pretty good getting K/D of atleast 1.0.. So i don't think I totally suck I also got a good quality Mic. So, Add me on Battlelog (Sgt_Rex_Pwr_Colt) if you're looking for a Multiplayer team up. AJSA Community FTW!
  14. I see alot of threads poping..."help me build PC blabla".So let us have a general thread where evryone can ask for help or give advice on building a PC. Or what hardware to chose from when upgrading. General hardware discussion etc. So lets pin this thread and may the randomness stop.
  15. I'm not sure whether this is the best way to post my content, it's the format of how i've posted user content in previous forums (if an issue arises with such, I will immediately remove it upon request), but, here goes... I'm Caz, I specialize in video game reviews & critique in an informative, somewhat lengthy manner, but will also take some time to deliver a raunchy rant, a look at a video game anime adaptation, as well as take a look at the inspirations and history of certain titles or series. An example of the usual output you'd see from me would be as such: I also do some writing on Screwattack and have a Twitter/Facebook for the channel, but here's not the place to post that for now. In the mean time, feel free to check out my channel here, follow this post if you enjoy what you see, give some feedback on what you have seen, send some requests, chocolate boxes or whatever you feel like. Go wild and game on my friends! -Caz(TheGamerGuy... Yes the name of the channel is stupid and will likely change in the near future)

  17. I noticed a lack of Serious Sam (My favorite FPS) So here it is. Trailer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeqHkvDCQgg
  18. Now I own Minecraft, though I do not play it often. I would love to play with some of you guys! Good servers aren't cheap, so we would need quite a few people on board. In the mean time, post about how much you think an AJSA Minecraft server would rock, or suck. What you would do in said server, or your ideas for the server. Please keep on topic, and may the force be with you.
  19. Hey guys! so here´s the deal. i´ve upgraded my PC recently because the performance in battlefield 4 was not to my liking. i bought myself a i5 4670K together with an ASUS Z87-A Motherboard. ive slapped 2x4gb of Corsair vengeance DDR3 memorys in to that mama and was more than pleased with the results. To the point i assume. Ive recently experienced Bluescreens in windows 8.1 (yes im running W8) occuring in battlefield 4 loading screen. after the latest one the time setting in windows was really off, i mean fucking 6 hours off. I googled and posts on diffrent forums and such told me to update bios, checking with the windows clock sync server thingymabob. I´ve tried everything except changing the CMOS battery Could that battery be dead in two weeks? when they are suppose to function for five to six years? im buying a new battery tomorrow hoping it wil fix this. But if i have to return my motherboard im not going to be pleased!

  23. Is PC losing it relevancy, are we going to see a time where only a very small fraction of gamers use a PC to play video games?
