  1. Allo All! When the website first launched I absolutely filled my PSN friend's list with gamers to play with from the AJSA and have had a blast in games like Battlefield 4. This is another call to arms! I built a gaming PC some months ago and need to fill my Steam Friend's List up like before with awesome people for multiplayer games. CoreyCliche Add me, pl0x.
  2. Assassins Creed Unity has been confirmed for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One in Winter 2014. It will be set in France during the French Revolution (Which lasted from 1789 to 1799). Ubisoft said they have been working on the new Assassins Creed game for over three years now and want to give a true next generation AC game. Ubisoft have also announced two demos have been prepared for E3. Single Player Campaign and a 4 Person Coop Campaign. They also said that Coop won't be like in previous games, it will have it's own campaign. Am really excited to see what is revealed at E3 2014. AC IV: BF improved nearly every complaint I had about Assassins Creed III so I think the series is going to improve again in Unity. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I love the Assassins Creed games, have been playing them since Assassins Creed II and am really excited to see where the series goes after where Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag left it. Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is definitely my favourite in the series, it looks beautiful and there is so much do to in the amazing looking open world. The game added a lot of new combat features/weapons that make it look great, especially how Edward used the environment in combat. The story was amazing in both Present day and during The Golden Age of Piracy. The story telling was done really well and the present day was great as an introduction so I'd love to see more happen in present day in Unity. A lot of people say Assassins Creed II is the best, the rooftops and narrow crowed streets were repetitive seeing them over again. I did love the story, side missions and a lot about the game and it's my second favourite but there are a lot of features not in this game and the combat isn't very great. The only weapons Ezio had were Double Hidden Blade, Sword, Throwing Knifes and Hidden pistol. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Check out the teaser for AC: Unity here: Sources: http://gamerant.com/assassins-creed-unity-4-player-coop/ https://twitter.com/shinobi602/statuses/457327029198000128 https://twitter.com/shinobi602/statuses/457327902636642304
  3. No one seems to have posted a topic about this one yet so FOOK IT! Hellblade is a third person Hack and Slash coming for PS4 and PC. Even though it's early days and the game itself is WAY pre alpha this is something that I am pretty exited about. Not least because it's being produced totally independently by Ninja Theory, the same guys behind DMC: Devil May Cry and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. But the most relevant thing and what get my juices going for it is that this company also developed the BAFTA Nominated Heavenly Sword, an early PS3 exclusive which I really enjoyed. This game at least in concept seems to be pretty similar with it's fantastical art design, skill based combat and a strong female protagonist. It's early stages but I am already Loving the art design, It's like Nordic Culture meets Lord of The Rings. As for gameplay I'm hoping for something similar to Heavenly Sword but with more re-playability and gameplay value. So what's your take on this? Will it be something worthwhile or just another pretty dud? Let your thoughts known Below.
  4. Just stumbled upon this new rpg game called Hand of Fate, released just recently. Noooo, it has nothing to do with that hilariously bad movie. The game's a hybrid of choose your own adventure game card game + action game + rpg. Basically the story is you're playing some kind of a card game against this hooded guy. He challenges you to beat 12 bosses based on the cards that he has. And the game is pretty damn good. Just look at the gameplay video here to see what the game is like. It's like a mix of Shadow of Mordor's/ Batman Arkham combat mechanic combined with a tabletop card game and a choose your own adventure game. It surprisingly works and the game is a lot of fun. Check it out, I recommend it. Hm, is it right to put this in the other PC games section? Cause it's also for PS4.

  8. What is Insurgency? Insurgency is a tactical FPS shooter. However, unlike most FPS games, Insurgency adds a flare of realism to the well-known FPS formula. The follow-up game to the Source mod under the same name, Insurgency is highly competitive and unforgivingly lethal and manages to strike a balance between the one-life, one hit death gameplay of Rainbow Six and the fast-paced action of CS:GO. Who is in charge of Insurgency? Game officers: AverageSpacePope Game Admins: pcgamer41, SpecAgtHUNK Will there be any Insurgency events? We will be hosting events for Insurgency every weekend (check the calendar each week for accurate event times). All Insurgency events will be taking place in the AJSA Insurgency Server and the AJSA Insurgency TeamSpeak channel @ ts3.ajsagaming.com. How do I find the AJSA Insurgency server? Here is a link to the PVP server: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/64.237.45.122:27015/ Here is a link to the Coop server: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/192.186.133.194:27015/ To find the AJSA server in-game all you have to do is follow these easy steps: 1. Go into the server browser and go into favourites. 2. Click “add server” and type/paste the AJSA server's IP address into the search bar (you can find the server's IP address in the previous link above). 3. Click on the AJSA server and favourite it. Now you should be able to join the AJSA server through the favourites section of the server browser. If you have any questions regarding Insurgency (e.g. game events, problems/issues with the server), please PM me, AverageSpacePope.
  9. I want to start playing Civilization and have never played a strategy game like it before. (I mostly play Total War and Divinity Dragon Commander) Do you think it is worth getting Civilization Beyond Earth when it comes out (I'm UK) or is there another Civilization you would recommend for beginners in the series? Thanks for your advice!
  10. Looking for people who would be willing to join me and my friend in some of the standalone Insurgency on steam. It's just two of us so we need another 6 people to make a full squad, but just 2 more people would be efficient!
  11. Insurgency Insurgency is a FPS shooter. However, unlike most FPS games, Insurgency adds a flare of realism to the well-known FPS formula. The follow-up game to the Source mod under the same name, Insurgency is highly competitive and unforgivably lethal and manages to strike a balance between one-life gameplay (Rainbow Six) and prolonged action (CS:GO). The Pros: · Gameplay: If you want to win (or even survive) in Insurgency, you need to be tactical, or you're going to die, A LOT. There’s no minimap, no killcam, no health meter, no hit/kill notification, realistic recoil, etc. Insurgency forces you to check corners, control recoil, to communicate with your teammates, etc. All of this results in some very intense (and sometimes prolonged) firefights. · Team-work: The game actively promotes teamwork. A team full of experienced FPS players communicating to each through TeamSpeak will almost always destroy the opposing team. Therefore, it is very important to communicate with your fellow teammates whenever you can. Relaying a targets position or laying down suppressing fire for a team member stuck behind cover can, more often than not, tip the match in your favour. · Content: There are plenty of weapons and maps, tons of game modes. The game has Co-op, were you and a bunch of friends can battle against difficult groups of AI soldiers. The game also has 8 PVP game modes ranging from standard Teamdeath match to modes such as CTF and a Battlefield-like Rush mode. · Fair gameplay: The game has a great loadout system that revolves around the use of points. As everyone starts with the same points, nobody ever gets an advantage. Plus, most of the guns and gadgets are well balanced. The Cons: · The game can be frustrating (AI a little too accurate at higher levels. There has been moments when I and my entire team have all been killed by a single RPG immediately after spawning). Also, the one hit kill can be annoying for some. · Visually, Insurgency isn't anything special, but the detail put into the guns is well done. However, none of the visuals here will stop you from enjoying the game. · If you are looking for a story, well… there isn’t one. All you need to know is that you’re a guy with a gun and you shoot bad guys for a living. The end. Events: Co-op events: Who can survive the longest on survival mode.PVP events: 2 teams of AJSA members can battle it out. 12. PC Early access on Dec 9nth, full game next year for PS4 and PC (dunno about other platforms) This looks like a slower, more tactical version of F-Zero or Extreme-G, a good old school arcade fantasy racer.
  13. So 2 days ago I finished my work early in the middle of the day at work and I browsed through the iphone app store. I stumbled across this game called Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. Because it is free, at first I thought it's going to be one of those cheapass mobile games that requires in-game purchases like so many other free games do, but I downloaded it because it looks like an interesting game. So I did, surprisingly took a lot more space than Infinity Blade. And I was so dead wrong about my initial impression. This game is one of the best rpgs I have ever played, not just on mobile, but on consoles and PC too. You know those "choose your own adventure book" where you read something and the page gave you a choice like "if you want to fight a dragon head on, turn to page 67" or something like that? This game is actually a prequel of sorts to this Lone Wolf choose your own adventure book by Joe Dever. It took place between chapter 2 & 3 of the Kai series. But it doesn't matter if you have read the book or not because the game itself has a solid story that's easy to understand for newcomers. It's like Wolf Among Us where you don't need to know anything about the Fables book which the game is based on to enjoy the game. The game itself is so unique. It's a combination of reading a book and playing a turn based combat rpg, with a bit of lockpicking here and there. Most of the game is presented in book format, so you read what happens as you progress through the game with cool looking artworks. The cool thing is that during many parts of the book, you are given choices that will determine the outcome later in the game. Say you are currently in a situation where you need to choose how to get an item behind a door. You can choose to either go the straightforward route and break the door down, lock pick the door, or use magic to manipulate objects to open the door. Depending on your choice, the plot will progress differently. And depending on if you choose either straightforward break stuff up, be smart and use traps often or use magic often, you will level up your health, magic and stamina depending on your choices after different chapters of the book are completed. The combat of this game is what makes me like this game a lot, aside from the unique book format. When you go to battle, the game will change from book format to 3d format like usual games do. The game uses a turn based system and the game looks like this. The bar on the top left are your health (red) Mana (blue) And stamina (green) The yellow bar that has a wolf on top is your turn gauge. If this gauge is drained, you can't do anything. So what you want to do is to attack enemies as much as you can during the turn. You have a varied way to attack, which depends on which part of the body you tap. See that blue circle on the character's body? Tap one of them to start attacking. If you choose the sword, you can do light, medium or heavy attacks. The medium and heavy attacks can let you do combos if you follow the on screen prompt, like flick up, tap a circle or something like that. Attacking will drain your stamina, and if you don't have enough stamina, you can't attack, unless you use a magic spell that allows you to attack without stamina. If you choose the knife on your leg, you will throw knifes at enemies. These do minimal damage but you can throw as much as you want without using stamina as long as you have enough knifes. If you choose that middle circle above the potions, you'll do one out of 4 magic based attacks. These varies depending on which magic you choose at the beginning of the game. I personally choose healing, shadow form which lets me dodge every incoming attacks, object manipulation and the fighter spirit skill which lets me attack without worrying about stamina. Healing is awesome because it restores your stamina and health to full, so use it as often as possible. If you choose that sword on your back, you'll use the super awesome sword Sommerswerd which has 3 special attacks. These uses magic. One is to heavily damage a single enemy and set fire damage on them, the other is to attack everyone on screen and cripple them, which is the best attack because your enemy will always miss their attacks and you can do a counter attack every time. I have not unlocked the third skill yet. What I like about the combat is it's both challenging and fun, especially when you dodge an enemy attack and counter attack him. Unlike most traditional turn based rpgs, you can fight enemies without ever losing a life if you do the right moves like going to defend mode to dodge every enemy attacks, use abilities that can stun or cripple enemies which makes them miss their attacks, and finish off enemies with a special attack that can give you a huge mana refill for your next fight. It's such a refreshing change to the usual formula of waiting for turns and getting lucky. I can't praise this game enough. There are things I left out like you can buy items and upgrade items in the item shop, but that's standard fare for rpgs. If you have either an iphone, ipad, android or whatever smart phone you have, you got to get this game. It's for free and there's a season pass that lets you get more chapters. It's worth it.
  14. I'm not sure if this is quite the right place to put this (apologies if it's not), but I've just built a gaming PC for the first time in years and looking for some good PC exclusives to start off with. MMO's, MOBA's and Strategy games in particular would be cool because there aren't very many of those on console. Any potentially useful applications or websites you can recommend then I'd appreciate that to Thanks in advance.
  15. I started this topic because I saw somebody on these threads (not mentioning names or the topic in question) describing first party developers as "holding games hostage" 'till you buy that specific platform. Now, I have a problem with that statement, but I felt my issue with it is too general, complicated and important that I decided it would be better for me to discuss this in a new topic. If all games existed on one platform, it would be a disaster, and face it exclusives are the only reason why multiple platforms exist at all. And we need multiple platforms If there was to be (as this individual clearly desires) only one platform to play games on, it would be PC. It's the most versatile and powerful platform, but also the most expensive and impractical, and that's were the problems start. Not everyone can afford what a gaming PC costs (I know, given how much my PC ultimately cost) as well as that potential lack of knowledge about the tech' (for many in the "Master Race", this lack of knowledge is a character flaw) and that can cause problems. If there was only one place to game, that would be like one place to buy groceries. They could charge what they want, but that's not the only problem. Given the rate that PC tech' is improving all the time, for developers to keep games "current" would mean developing games at a massively high cost to achieve the highest performance only to limit the games market to high end PC's, Yep, increasing development costs for the purpose of limiting your market. Because, you know, "PC Master Race"! The fact is, If the PC was the only place to play games, hardware development would move on to fast to make games affordable for developers and ultimately, us gamers, but we still stupidly boil our sense of gaming down to numbers. We play as a goat ramming things with moon physics, but so long as we have 60fps and 1080p, the game will be a hit, but when we hear a 3rd person story driven stealth/action game releases at 30fps, we flip our lid! We're kinda stupid that way. If we can, we'll buy it, just to enlarge our "Steam Dick" because the PC has value as a gaming platform through the lower cost of games, but if you don't buy that many games, what's the point? I understand the higher affinity for PC over a console, I do, I feel it myself. That PC is your baby, you built it you made it grow and will continue to do so and not to mention the higher cost, but that is no excuse to act like a superior ass hole. Ultimately, we need multi-plat' games to drive the industry forward, but at the same time hold it back from moving at a rate to fast for the industry to handle and alienate people. I game on all plat's apart from the WiiU (But I still respect that console a huge amount) and want to enjoy games where they should be played. We go to one platform, gaming as we know it will die.

  17. Overwatch Main Site Cinematic Trailer Gameplay Trailer You know, if not for the Gameplay Trailer, I would've thought Blizzard was trying to pull a Disney.
  18. The mode is called "Frontier Defense," and it's a four-player co-op mode that uses existing maps and sets players about defending towers from waves of computer-controlled enemies. Players can set up automated machine guns, strategically place their titans, and even fight from a drop ship that hovers over the battlefield. They're also adding some other things as well, including Marked for Death Pro, which is a single-elimination round-based take on the popular Marked for Death mode - if the marked player gets killed, a point is awarded and the round ends. There's also a mode called Deadly Ground, which they called a "Floor is Lava" mode that fills the levels (not every level works, they say) with electrified fog, forcing players to use wall-running to keep from touching the ground, and causes constant damage to your Titan. Deadly Ground will work with a few pre-existing game modes. They also detailed a new ranked mode, and say that they'll be adding a few new voices for your onboard Titan AI. Patch available tomorrow http://www.titanfall.com/news/titanfall-game-update-eight

  20. I've spent over 500 hours playing arma in the past year or so, and I thought I'd share some of the mods that i've used most heavily. All of these mods work with singleplayer, although some of them may not be allowed by some multiplayer servers, so you'll have to disable them if not. ~~~~~~~~ Community base addons : This is required to make the below mods work. Blastcore : This is a neat visual mod that tweaks lighting (especially at night), explosions, rain and various other things. Makes the game look a TONNE better. JSRS : This is an audio mod that replaces most of the default sounds with much better, much more realistic sounding audio. It also tweaks how sounds interact with buildings and terrain. Shacktac hud : This tool adds a small HUD at the bottom of your screen that shows you where your squad members are. Useful with the slightly erratic AI in the campaign. ~~~~~~~~~~~ If you're not sure how to install mods, do a quick search. There are plenty of tutorials and videos out there. It's simple once you get into the swing of things.
  21. It's been 4 years since this game was a console exclusive and after Final Fantasy IV was released on Steam yesterday, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII is coming to PC later this Fall, I have to say this that Final Fantasy fans will rejoice with the PC ports of any Final Fantasy games, I hope it'll bring Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered Edition to PC too. http://kotaku.com/final-fantasy-xiii-is-coming-to-pc-1636365421
  22. By the time of release around January 27, I'm going to do storyline missions before playing GTA Online with the Angry Army Crew.
  23. *Ahem* PC:blah blah blah GRAPHIX blah blah blah SPECZ blah blah blah Steam blah blah blah MODZ blah blah blah FRAMERATEZ blah blah blah Torrentz CONSOLE:blah blah blah EXCLUSIVZ blah blah blah PLUGIN AND PLAY blah blah blah CONTROLLER OPTIMIZED blah blah blah BETTA MULTIPLYAH blah blah blah 4 PLAYER FUN blah blah blah You understand how ridiculous this is? arguing about the hardware instead of enjoying what their meant for? Glorifying your hardware won't get you anywhere, we should all be simply refered to as ''gamers'' not ''pc gamer'' or ''console gamer''. i personally hate the fact that this STUPID argument is driving gamers apart from each other instead of them enjoying gaming TOGETHER! I'm not choosing sides im just saying this pointless argument needs to stop because its driving us against each others throats and i dont like that and neither should you!
  24. It seems to be common practice for game developers to make laughably terrible movie/film licensed games. Nonetheless there are some that deserve to be played and are given a bad name by other games of the type. I personally loved Spiderman 2 for it's gameplay and open world even for the playstation 2. So my question for you all is what are the best movie licensed games?
