  1. So...about a month ago a good friend of mine announces he purchased two copies of Anthem for $10 apiece...and he would be sending me the code for the other one. Grudgingly, I accepted. It's...OK. It really isn't optimized at all, and my 7-year-old PC barely runs it at low graphics, but it was mildly enjoyable to play with a friend. I really didn't care at all about the game and was just going through the motions of hanging out online with one of my best buds. Flying around was fun, but overall the game was just a chore to play. Well, now I will have my REVENGE! Steam had Aliens: Colonial Marines on sale for $6...so I bought two copies! Mwahahahaaha!
  2. Check my first two vids out as i try to fight off the Alien scourge and i do know and have adjusted the audio issue in the next episodes to come
  3. People, Check out Grey Goo, made by Petroglyph Games, an indie studio formed from the creative minds of Westwood studios, creator of the Command and Conquer Series and the progenitors of RTS.
  4. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/09/17/6-months-of-dlc-support-for-alien-isolations-survivor-mode?abthid=5419a2ba7247154343000006 So pissed, just so pissed off right now.
  5. Well well well ladies and gentlemen we are having two survival horror games coming out next month back to back, Alien Isolation on October 7 2014, and Shinji Mikami's The Evil Within October 14 2014. So ladies and gentlemen tell me who you think will be the survival horror game of the year in the comments below.
  6. I just now visited the arcades in my local mall, and I saw an arcade rail shooter game called Aliens Armageddon. It's made by the same guys behind the Terminator Salvation arcade game. And surprise: it's actually good! It's quite a fun arcade shooter game with cool set pieces, fun gameplay and interesting looking xenomorph enemies. When was the last time you see a flying xenomorph? There's different weapons you can use depending on the set pieces. Good thing is this game allows you to use the smart gun more times than Aliens Colonial Marines. Shudder. One thing I don't like is that like Salvation before, enemies can come way too much at once that you don't even have time to attack them. And some enemies can take out a lot of your health bar while the others just give you a bit of a scratch. This is a game that requires a friend to play with you to make things even. Other than the cheap enemies, this is actually a damn good fun arcade game. Check it out.
  7. Hello guys. I'm new to the community and I am here to suggest a game that not enough people know about. Natural Selection 2. FPS/RTS hybrid. Complex heavily team oriented game with a supportive and mature community. If you're new people will be happy to help you out, let you be the commander for the first time and will be patient with you being a bit clueless. This game initially started as an amazing free Half Life 1 mod, and the game kept running and being updated through donations and eventually the creators built their own engine and Natural Selection 2 came to life. The RTS aspects are heavily inspired by Star Craft. You choose a team, Aliens or Space Marines. The game doesn't start until each team has chosen a Commander. You talk through voice and decide of a plan and agree upon who is going to be commanding the goons on the field. The marine commander will jump into a Command Chair, and the Alien Commander into a Hive. Which will give him a "sky view" like traditional RTS. From this point the game will start. The objective is that of most RTS, exterminate your opponent from the map by destroying his bases. Both sides play differently but have the same basics. Most important thing is controling resource nodes across the map in order to unlock upgrades. Passive armor/weapon damage upgrade, shotguns, flamethrowers(yes flamethrowers), grenade launchers, Jetpacks(yes jetpacks), mechsuits dual wielding railguns or miniguns(oh ya!) and more. For aliens you get things like, scent of fear(let's you spot marines nearby), celerity, carapace, new abilities, new lifeforms. As an Alien you start off as a Skulk aka zergling, really, you look just like a zergling. You can walk on ceilings, walls, through vents, leap(when the commander upgrades it). Now just like zergling, numbers is the key to being a skulk and being sneaky. You don't want to run in a straight line towards a marine is a bad idea. You have to stalk and walk to reduce the noise of you creepy little feet. Bite down powersupply in rooms so it's plunged in darkness(you have Alien vision, let's you see in dark) and then you hide on the ceiling above a room entrance with 2 of your skulk buddies ready to ambush whoever has big enough balls to walk in. Aliens have different lifeforms with specific abilities that you can evolve into. Skulks(zergling), gorges(engineer/healer), Lerks(bat like creature with offensive supportive abilities), Fades, humanoid looking assassins with giant claws for hands and the almighty Onos a giant Gorilla/Rhino monster that just wrecks everything. As a marine, the ground will start shaking a bit when an Onos runs so you can feel it coming a bit like Jurassic Park and the watercup vibration thing. If you pay attention you'll know it's coming and if you're alone, you better turn around, yell "OH NOES!" and get the fuck out!!! Now when you evolve into an Onos or get yourself a mechsuit, it costs resources that each player collects through the game. Depending on how many resource nodes you are controlling, your resource intake will be higher or lower. So this is very important, because you can't just go Onos bum rush something die and go Onos again. Most of the times you'll only collect enough resources to go Onos once throughout the game, so as powerful as he is, you have to be careful because having an Onos and not having one can be the difference between being able to fight a Marine push or not. As a marine when you kill a higher lifeform, it highly rewarding regardless if you got the kill or not. You yourself know how many bullets you put onto that thing and it's all the matters. As a marine, K/D is irrelevant. You can be 100/0 and still be useless. A bit like in PlanetSide 2, if you sit in the middle of nowhere killing people who are lost, you're doing it wrong. You want to push with your team and set up defensive positions in strategical choke hold locations to try and cut aliens off from getting access to other resources nodes or an extra hive that would allow them to aquire new abilities. Set up turrets and siege weapons. Harass enemies resource intake by destroy the resource towers that each team needs to build over a resource node in order to collect the resources. Resources are like gas(vespene gas). This video is too short, there's too much to cover so it's packed with so much stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP9tP1Xbdq0#t=26 This one is a beginners video to kind of give you an idea of what I was talking about. So hopefully you guys will find this interesting. This game is a gem and it's really well made. Edit: Total Biscuit has videos, from both aliens and marines sides, about the game but the game changed since then. Things were added and improve.
  8. Before I begin I would love to say I love the Angry Joe show. All your videos are awesome, except your Kinect Star Wars review and the Aliens Colonial Marines review, and any review that ACM is bashed in. One of my favorite videos is the Shadow Fall review esp at the very beginning. For whatever reason people love my Mega Man videos, dispite how shitty the recording quality is. And I would love to be a serious Mega Man only reviewer. That scene with the rays from the PS4 version of you hitting you is similar to what I would do for a scene if I reviewed the "Mega Man Sonic the Hedgehog" comic where Mega Man becomes Super Mega Man and then takes the chaos emeralds from Sonic becoming a giant Gold version of himself. Anyway back to the heart of the matter. Joe you are disrespecting "Aliens Colonial Marines" and "Aliens Colonial Marines Signal Interrupted" WAY TO MUCH! I may have to make multiple posts because I don't want to overwhelm you with one giant post. Now before I get to story related points, challenges, and Alien Isolation GARBAGE, I want to get issues about ACM game mechanics out of the way. I had ZERO of the issues you showed in your ACM video review concerning AI and other mechanic issues. I have come to the realization that there is SOME kind of issue being experienced by other gamers but for whatever reason I got the golden egg, OR just maybe because I have the most advanced version of the Xbox 360 "Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 special edition" some how its processor is the most compatible with the game. If that were true that would mean the "Halo 4 edition Xbox 360" and the" Xbox live anniversary Xbox 360 edition" would have the same effect. But ether case I have not had any issues up until the patch came out to fix the ai, I noticed the xenos would hide more, which resulted in me dieing less. Ether way I think this should be looked into, and any proof you ask of me to give you that I am not having these issues I will give. In fact the Hardest setting has been extremely brutal I have died soo many times, hell even one time when I was playing with a friend the Lurker "Ninja trolled" me only. It was like it was playing a game with my friend, avoiding me and taking me out as quickly as it could nearly immediately after he would pick me up, this happened 6 times!!! Im not a bad player ether I got all the achievements by myself in Halo 3 except the one that requires more than one person. Hell and in Bug hunt the Aliens evolve to such a point you end up killing yourself with out killing the Xenos if you have a Rocket Launcher because they are so fast and durable. They can even deflect plasma bolts back into your face with there hands!!! This part is about issues you have had with the story. You said you had a problem with the Marine that blew himself up with a grenade that was impregnated... I have to points to make in regardes too your problem with this scene. One The Aliens have been shown as being very skilled tacticians that, depending on the alien, can make multilayered detailed plans that can encompass multiple planets. The Queen Mother is the most skilled of the lot so far. And she has a link to every Alien in the universe. All the Queens have been shown to manipulate the actions of non Xenomorphs to some degree. In the case of the Queen Mother she has had 100% direct control over non Xenos even humans that are dead and extremely rotted. Now the reason I brought this up is that if you think about it, if Winter had been allowed to enter the ship he was heading too, he would not have survived and unlocked the systems containing the Queen on LV-426. Two Going back to the mind control traits the Queens have shown to have. There is obviously different levels of control the different types of Queens have. Only the Queen Mother has ever been shown 100% mentally controling other non-xenos with out aid. Other Queens if they want to have 100% control of non-xenos must use a type of alien chest burster known as the "Infectoid." The Command type Xenomorphs will use these Infectoids to infiltrate and covertly cause harm to enemy forces. This happened in Aliens vs Predator (Capcom Arcade) When a Predator was infected with the Infectoid and it went on a killing spree against other Predators. You next point is that you have a problem that the Marines know about the Lurker. Well I guess what most fans don't know is that "Aliens Infestation" for the DS takes place like days or hours before Aliens: Colonial Marines. Going by the written lore for both games two Battalions of Marines were sent to LV-426, that up to 2000 Marines. Winter and his unit are the last to be woken up, and by then the Aliens have killed most of the Marines, and the story for Aliens Infestation has ended. The Marines that had already been awake and fighting the Aliens for hours to a couple days would have time to give some of the different aliens nicknames. Winter should be FREAKING LUCKY he didn't ever have to fight the FREAKING Gorilla ALIENS and Praetorian Gorilla Alien. They are immune to the most the weapons that Marines carry. The reason the base is in better shape than you would think it would be is because of the design of the base itself and because WY had rebuilt parts of the base as was shown in Aliens: Infestation. Your next point is that the friendly AI has attacks that are weak against the alien... Well the scripted events ARE more canon that the game play. The Aliens KICK THE CRAP out of the humans in this game and Aliens Infestation. The Aliens have adapted for heavy combat! You see them make great tactical maneuvers in these games, like staying behind the Crushers and letting it soak up the heavy attacks of the humans, you see the Warriors hiding in the mountains and striking the WY drop ships when they get low enough. They target the jet turbines sending the Drops ships crashing into the ground. Your next issue is that your Pilot in the Drop ship accidentally fires at you. The reason she fires at you was because she wasn't expecting to get shot at from the sides by WY Mercs. You point out how you like the design of the Weapons used in ACM. I would like to point out the designs are inspired by the guns used by Colonial Marines in the 1st Aliens Omnibus. They have the sub-machine guns, as well as a gun that does look like the WY Assault Rifle. In the Novel the sub-machine guns even carry a special clip that carries quote unquote rainbow rounds, which are like a mixes of multiple ammo types. I disagree with your point about the Motion tracker as well Joe... I needed it in story mode when dealing with the Lurkers because how damn stealthy they are. So far in your video, because I am basing my responses as the video is playing, the only thing I can agree on is that the easier modes will be easy. You can say that for any game though. You make some points about the Smart Gun and the Powerloader not being used in game, or enough. You might have a good point for the Smart Gun but the Power Loader is a death trap. You don't want to fight Aliens with them unless they are the combat types like the Alice in AvP2 with an anti anything laser, twin gat cannons, anti-tank rocket launcher, flamethrower. The regular one may have worked somewhat ok against a injured Queen in Aliens, and against the Raven, BUT against like say a Ravager your fucked, or even any type of Ranger Aliens or Crushers.
  9. I know Joe is against preorder bonuses because he believes they are risky and are merely a money-grab by developers. However, I typically think that people who are willing to pre-order games show that they trust the developer with their money enough to the point where they're willing to give the developer money in advance for the game. Therefore, I believe developers have the right to reward those loyal consumers with preorder bonuses. If you 100% trust a developer and believe the game will be a hit, then you should be able to voice your trust by reserving a copy of the game. True, there have been cons such as Aliens: Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem Forever, however, there are good examples too, such as Nintendo with any Pokemon title or Bungie with Halo. The real question I believe comes down to the developer and how much you trust them with your money.
  10. Hey everyone, remember AVP 3 the game (2010 right?) there is no one playing this game!! Yes i know its old ive had this game for a while and i was thinking, if any of my fellow soldiers have the game why not organize some player matches together? Xbox live GT: TheChief10097
