  1. I'll just the video and cited articles speak for themselves. Obviously this is exploitative, imoral and outskde the law and valve needs to do something about this.
  2. I've been bored for the past few days, so I ended up dabbling in video editing. It's just a couple of clips of me and my friends playing CS:GO. Nothing special, no cool effects or anything. I'll probably try learning some of those for future videos, if I decide to make more. If you have any tips/suggestions/criticism, I'm open to it.

  4. So. It's that time of the year again. DreamHack. A place where the best CS teams compete against each other for a chance of winning a lot of money. This year Its 250000$. So the Day 1 Matches were played: Following teams will have to fight for a chance to get back into the tournament: Ninjas in Pyjamas lost to Titan 13-16 yesterday, but they came back today by beating Team Liquid 16-11 (bye, Liquid) Mousesports lost to G2 8-16, but came back by kicking out Flipsid3 C9 lost to Luminosity 11-16, but kicked out Vexedgaming Dignitas lost to Envyus, currently playing against CLG, who lost to Natus Vincere. (Edit: CLG won) The american teams haven't performed well. Liquid, who I had hopes for, dropped out and CLG and C9 haven't been great either. I think I will see 2 of the following teams in the semifinals: Envyus (France) TeamSoloMid (Denmark) Fnatic (Sweden) Virtus pro (Poland) Who do you think will win this year's DreamHack? -47
  5. Hey guys ive setup a new steam group for cs go since the previous steam group is beyond our control. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/csgoajsa this should help getting together for events and hang out much easier. it is also going to be easier to make a mini event by playing in ranked competitive or browse community servers for fun. so if your interested join the group right now while its still public. later on it will be set to invite only. stay tuned for more stuff coming soon. please let other cs go ajsa folk know about the new steam group so they join.
  6. Alright folks. post your videos and highlights that is CS GO related in this thread to keep the subforum abit cleaner. looking forward to see your awesome highlights and moments. and to start off here is a highlight of mine that happend recently
  7. Hey guys , ive been trying to get some more events but it seems the weekends and even fridays are now always packed with other events for other game so i'm not able to start one. but here's where you come in to solve this problem since the council members and mods are sadly very slow, we're going to have to try do these smaller events with less stuff then i was originally planning to do. (AKA : having custom maps and modes and some more servers ) seems to no longer be an option with this rate. So, respond to this topic and let me know what days are you usually free to play for an hour or two and if you like this idea , and then with all your comments we'll think of a good day and time to do these small concentrated events hopefully weekly. maybe even daily and do random stuff in the server.
  8. So, i have been playing CS:GO since its Beta. From time to time playing, and other times taking a break because of life & other games. With CSGO gaining a competitive matchmaking system. There are now lots of people playing CSGO again, some say competitive matchmaking is the best thing they could possibly have added, to CS:GO. I personally agree. But i find that the game has some problems, not in its design or anything, but with its community. And here's what troubles me as of late: Competitive matchmaking is filled with hackers/cheaters, most of the time, you cannot go online, play a match, without finding someone fishy, or obviously hacking! For me, it ruins the entire experience. Of course there are the community servers... Which i mostly try to avoid playing on, because.. Well you probably know why. ( 24 man dust2 match's everywhere where anyone can leave at will which is not really fun for me) There's this overwatch thing they put in, to get sneaky cheaters. Does it even work? Because apparently people just buy a new cheap copy of the game and start doing there thing once again. (I bet valve earns lots of cash lol) And there are the smurfs, which go back to silver to troll, or just go and try to play on a lower rank to avoid the cheaters, making it kinda unfair for the lower ranks who may or may not play as well as the smurfs. Though, i must admit, when you find that one match, with your friends, where no one is clearly a cheater, where the scores are tied, and everything is nostalgic, and people are polite and sportive till the last round. That, that makes me just wanna play more, but that seems rare nowadays. At least for me. And sometimes you find one of those community servers with zombie mod on it, or surf, death-run etc... Which i find kinda cool depending. (These community modes made cs:s popular right?) I have not shared my views on some other things in the game because they do not bother me really. So my question to you is, do you still find CS:GO enjoyable? With its flaws in the community. If Yes/No, please state why? Do you find common ground in what i typed? Is something bothering you about the game? Please let me know what you think of the game as of late :-) Forgive my english lol
  9. About Me: I go by the name Redjakk and I am a community moderator on these forums. I will now also be acting as the game officer for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I hope to successfully run a fun and friendly environment for all of you to play in, and I hope to have a good time playing with those of you who are interested in the game. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is the most recent of four games in the franchise based solely on competitive multi-player. There are two sides, one being Counter-Terrorists and the other is of course Terrorists. This game is also a currency based game, this means that completing objectives and/or successfully killing a person on the other team to earn money. You then use this money to buy your equipment in the buy menu. More money, means better equipment. CS:GO's competitive play is objective based, the two modes available are demolition and hostage rescue. The most popular game mode on the competitive level is demolition. There are also two other modes of play, one being team death-match and the other arms race. Counter-Strike is a game with a long history, it first started out as a mod for the first Half-Life game. With it's increased popularity over the years it has managed to become the game it is today. CS:GO is kind of a throwback to the the original game mechanics that were most popular in competitive leagues. CS:GO feels like Counter-Strike 1.6, but looks like what you'd expect from a newer game. So despite the years that have passed Counter-Strike is still very popular, and CS:GO is trying to maintain that reputation, and feels successful with the resurrection of a strong competitive league. What's Good: This is a tactical game to a point, it's not as in-depth as some like ARMA or Insurgency. However you will need to prepare each round deciding on what actions to take. How will you defend? How will you attack? How much should you spend when buying your equipment? These are all things you'll need to think about when playing the game. Also communication is key, so it's also a very cooperative game as well. Not that into competitive mode? Well they also have a casual mode for those who do not wish to deal with the stresses involved with playing competitively. There's also two other modes that are for fun, called team death-match and arms race. In team death-match it's a team versus team type of play where you just kill each other. The winners of this mode are the ones who performed the best out of both teams. Arms race is a game mode where you race through the different guns in the game by getting kills with a particular gun. With each kill you will proceed to the next gun until you are left with nothing but your knife. Be the first one to kill someone with your knife and you win the game. This game isn't dying anytime soon, people will always be playing. There's also matchmaking for competitive mode, so if you don't have a team then you can find one by going into matchmaking. What's Bad: When playing in low-tick servers you will notice shots not registering on people which can be frustrating. This is even more infuriating when playing competitively using the matchmaking system. The reason for this is because Valve servers are used in matchmaking, and their servers run at 60 tick-rate, which is very bad. Hackers also queue in matchmaking, but this is inevitable in any game. You may also experience some pretty mean people in the game be it matchmaking or not, but this is also inevitable in any game. So consider this bit here as a reminder. You will sometimes experience one-hit kills. Not all people dislike this, but it is upsetting at times. Goals and Events: So what's going to be done with the server is that I'm going to have it set as its default style of play. What this means is that it will remain as a demolition and hostage rescue style of play. I may put death-match on it depending whether or not the server is getting any traffic, or just have it there for fun sometimes. I also plan on adding any maps that I find well balanced to the server, so you can expect custom maps. Of course you guys may suggest maps to me, and you can do that after I create a topic where you can post suggestions. I will check the maps out myself and determine whether or not they're well balanced and will be put on our server. As for events, I would like to plan in-house tournaments, there might possibly be rewards for the winners in the future, but not for certain though. That kind of thing really depends how active and how successful things are, so I will need your guy's help on this. Also there will be events where we just all gather and play together, I'll consider finding fun game modes to play, but for now I'll be keeping the game vanilla. Our Server: Our server is a 16 slot server that runs at 128 tick which is good, and I'm really happy that we could get that. You can find our server by adding it to your favorites at the following IP address. I hope to see you guys on, and I hope you enjoy playing on our server. 10. On July 10th CS:GO had an update that changed the mid doors on de_dust2. The wooden door was over 15 years old and is now changed forever.

  12. I'm a new member so let's get an introduction down. I'm gonna be playing for fun and value, but I want to involve myself in this community as much as possible. I'm not a tryhard hardcore gamer by any stretch of the imagination. My childhood games are things like Sonic the Hedgehog, Quake, Spyro the Dragon, Tomb Raider, Streets of Rage, and many games from that time. Other than Quake and Doom I never grew up on the hardcore games and gaming communities. So please, if I join a game don't hold expert level performance from me, but I'm going to try my absolute best regardless. I play plenty of games. My new Steam account doesn't have as many hours recorded but I play CS:GO, Planetside 2, Insurgency, Team Fortress 2, I'll be starting on DCU Online, and many more. At the same time, much of my time is taken up as I'm a payed artist in character design. I don't let this get in my way though as I clock in still too many hours in video games. I'm extremely friendly, just say hi! I don't judge, I accept most kinds of people. I don't claim to be perfect but I try to be as close as possible when it comes to treating other human beings. Everyone here's cool with me as of right now.
  13. This is the newest compilation in my video series. It's the newest cs:go weapon skins.
  14. When I moved primarily to PC, I didn't get many fps games. The only ones I had for the longest time were Battlefield 3 and F.E.A.R. but I got CS:GO a while back to play TTT with my friends on garry's mod. I have recently started playing it to find that spraying at someone right in front of my face doesn't do anything, despite my cross-hairs being directly on someone none of my shots hit, I die incredibly fast, and nothing I try seems to help any. I would push through it myself, but when your constantly being dominated, it is hard to keep playing.
