The Long Dark Is Boring And That's Why It's Great NDCS Workshop 2016 Publisher Defends Negative IGN Review Of Their Game, Shoots Down 'Supposed Conspiracy' I hadn't heard of anyone complaining about his review, apparently people complaining about review scores have reached the point where they are such cliched embarrassments that even I don't always hear about them anymore or them being made fun of over Uncharted 4 score complaints just overshadowed it. It is nice to see a company defend people harassed over review scores (hell, sometimes that would involve defending people who gave their game's terrible scores like 8s and low 9s), but this is also a good point as feeling the need to respond to completely asinine claims can set a bad precedent. Remove the Washington Post review from Uncharted 4's metascore In other news, regarding people not understanding the concept of reviews, grammar, human thought process, and reading comprehension, a petition was started to remove the negative review from Uncharted 4's metacritic listing. A lot of people are lying and saying the review is satire (even though the review contains no satire or jokes) because it is listed as a "Comic Riff", as always taking the five seconds to actually look at the site would reveal that Comic Riff is what a lot of their video game, comic, animation, super hero, etc content is labeled as and it has nothing to do with an article being a joke or not (but the corporate shills are mad about criticism and they certainly aren't doing to look into anything when they can be angry toxic fanboys instead). People are also saying that because the review didn't have a score that Metacritic just assigned one randomly, knowing anything about how that works or looking into that would show those people that the author tells Metacritic what score they want to give even if a score is not used by their own publication. Kotaku has just written an article about this here. Troy Baker retweeted the petition before realizing that doing so looks pathetic, and kind of half apologized for it. 4. I just watched Saving Mr Banks. It's based on the story of how the legendary Marry Poppins came to be, and it shows the whole process in the point of view of P.L.Travers, the writer of the Marry Poppins book which the movie is based on. The movie goes back and forth between her past and the process of making Marry Poppins, which is awesome because you get to see how the movie came to be from the illustration and the music scores. The plot is that P.L.Travers doesn't want Marry Poppins to be turned into a movie because it'll ruin the image of her portrayed from the book, and it is up to Walt Disney to change her mind. Let me get out of my chest first on what I think about P.L.Travers, at least the portrayal of her in the movie. Ohohohoho, if you hate Lighting from Final Fantasy XIII, after you see this lady, you'll like Lighting a whole lot more. P.L.Travers in this movie is a cunt. 5 minutes into the movie and I can't stand her. First thing she did in the movie when she entered her hotel that's reserved by Walt Disney and saw Mickey, Pluto, Donald Duck dolls among others is she throw them away into the closet. And when she turns on the tv to see this oh so awesome nostalgic Tinkerbell and Walt Disney video, she turns it off and say she despises cartoons. She hates everything in life, her entire attitude is basically "no no, my rules and my rules only. Sod off with your ideas!" and she basically makes everyone's life in the movie a living hell, all while having a shit eating grin on her face. Basically she's the most pathetic person you will ever see and you'll be glad if she didn't exist, but unfortunately you have to endure it over 100 minutes out of 120 minutes of screen time. I am amazed no one in the movie grabs a stick and beat her face in, especially Walt Disney. He is so patient that I am saluting him for being able to stand her. Walt Disney on the other hand, is such a nice guy, that I am rooting for him the whole way to snap the fuck out of the bitch and make her finally accept the making of the movie. He's actually been pursuing her for 20 years just to make Marry Poppins into a movie because he made a promise to his daughter that he will make it a reality. That's so heartwarming and awesome and it's actually a damn good enough reason for the movie the be approved by any normal human being, but the asshole doesn't care. She has to be all specific, Urrrrgh. She disagrees with everything! Shut the hell up! The flashbacks of her story does explain why she's what she is. Still doesn't explain why she doesn't like cartoons or why she's such a jerk to everyone. The movie's main strength is seeing Disney Land, interesting history behind the development of Marry Poppins and seeing nostalgic moments of the Marry Poppins movie after it has been made into theater. It's all so nostalgic that it makes you feel like you're a kid again. You will feel happiness and relief, mixed with giddy childhood nostalgia bomb blowing out of your heart. Overall, I like this movie. Even though I have to endure looking at the annoying P.L.Travers, in the end it's all worth it. It truly is a movie that you will hate, but in the end once it's all over you will love. One of the best movies of the year.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG5786fjozY I don't know what to think. I mean it looks cool, it could be like Oz the Great and Powerful which is a pretty good movie, but Angelina Jolie as Maleficent? How.... why...... when.... which??
  6. OK guys so recently I got a copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix for the PS3 which included: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, and 358/2 Days HD Cut scenes. This is my VERY first review so I will take advice and since there are 3 games I will review them one at a time, with that said let's begin with the game that started it all: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Ok, first off Final mix was released only in Japan and was a better version of Kingdom Hearts 1. It included new weapons, new cut scenes, and a new boss, now after years Final Mix finally comes to the United States in 1.5 HD Remix. So, the story is you play a boy name Sora who is best friends with a boy name Riku, NO NOT THAT RIKKU! And a young girl name Kairi. Being a Square Enix game, Final Fantasy characters make an appearance in the game like Squall, Cloud, and even a optional boss battle with the one-winged angel himself: Sephiroth! Well, Sora, Riku and Kairi want to go to other worlds by building themselves a raft to take them there, one night shit goes wrong real fast when strange creatures called The Heartless invade their world and destroy it the three friends are separated and Sora is left in a new world where he learns about the weapon he gets called the Keyblade which is a mysterious weapon that can lock/unlock anything and is the only thing capable of getting rid of a Heartless for good. There he meets Donald and Goofy who tell him that their king has vanished and left them a note telling them to find someone with a 'key'. So Sora joins the two as they travel to other worlds in search for their friends and to stop the Heartless. That's right! Square and Disney teamed up for Kingdom Hearts where the worlds are Disney movies so your be going to Halloween Town, Neverland and other Disney movies. So the gameplay is...well, simple you got your attack, your magic, your items, and summons which are Disney characters like Simba, Dumbo, and Mushu. You level up and get new abilities that you have to equip with points so you have to think about which abilities are more important. The plat forming is a lot better then the original and the graphics are just perfect. My only problem with the graphic is that most of the game has this default Face on most of the characters when it looks more beautiful when their detailed and they ARE, its just I get creeped out when I see the default face. The music is awesome, having been recorded with REAL instruments the music has that new feel sound to it but also has the Nostalgia toon for old fans. The bosses and enemies are verified each one having their one set of weakness and strength, with the occasional Heartless boss you also get to fight Disney villains along side Disney heroes like fighting Captain hook with Peter Pan or Oggie Boogie with Jack Skeleton. So my personal verdict is a 8/10 its a great game to get people in to the series but there are some problems that annoy me but that's just my opinion if you played this game then what do you think of it, and remember this is my first review so it may not be good. Dylan out!
  7. A few years back, my dad's friend gave him a CD of an NES emulator with a ton of games on it. He wasn't a gamer, but my brother and I were, so we played all of them, trying to figure each one out (especially with the keyboard controls). I didn't like any of them, except the very bad attempt of making a digital Monopoly game, and DuckTales and DuckTales 2. While I grew up on the PS2, DuckTales 1 and 2 were a huge part of my childhood as well. But I didn't grow up on the show or anything. I was too young to really understand the game, either. Earlier this year, in case anyone was living under a rock, there was a huge nostalgia bomb when DuckTales Remastered released on PS3, Xbox 360, and Steam. I LOVE DuckTales Remastered, and I was wondering if there are any other DuckTales fans in the Angry Army.
  8. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix

From the album Pick Uped Games

Get this game back in October for my report card. So far, I have positive responses to this game for bringing back my childhood in HD. Still, Re: Chain Of Memories still sucks.

  9. Disney released the first star wars game since they bought the IP when Lucas Arts closed their doors. Tiny death star is basically a re-skinned version of tiny tower and you can get it on iOS and Windows 8 devices. What do you think? are games like this the future of the SW franchise?
