  1. A long discussion on a GTA fan forum A number of outlets have brought this up below: Ars Technia GameZone Kotaku Slashdot FragHero And many more. To bring it down to simple terms, Take-Two Interactive sent a cease & desist to the developers of OpenIV, a popular SINGLE PLAYER modding tool. It seems Take-Two hasn't researched that the program doesn't even allow you to connect to GTA Online if you have SP mods installed. Something else that is suspicious is IGN has not reported on this AT ALL since this happened still. As of the original posting, the score is down to Mixed (68%) and recent reviews show only 14% positive (Overwhelmingly Negative).
  2. I've spent over 500 hours playing arma in the past year or so, and I thought I'd share some of the mods that i've used most heavily. All of these mods work with singleplayer, although some of them may not be allowed by some multiplayer servers, so you'll have to disable them if not. ~~~~~~~~ Community base addons : This is required to make the below mods work. Blastcore : This is a neat visual mod that tweaks lighting (especially at night), explosions, rain and various other things. Makes the game look a TONNE better. JSRS : This is an audio mod that replaces most of the default sounds with much better, much more realistic sounding audio. It also tweaks how sounds interact with buildings and terrain. Shacktac hud : This tool adds a small HUD at the bottom of your screen that shows you where your squad members are. Useful with the slightly erratic AI in the campaign. ~~~~~~~~~~~ If you're not sure how to install mods, do a quick search. There are plenty of tutorials and videos out there. It's simple once you get into the swing of things.
  3. This was a experiment I made to see if I could make a trailer for a mod. The essence of the mod is giving a follower the power to use the thuum by being tied to you. The trailer I took the essence of the Sith rule of two One to hold the power and one to crave it. I made this a while ago and thought I would post it.   4. Why not just make a real welcome to Hell like I did specifically for the Brutal Doom mod? The current release candidate version of the "Overkill" modified mapset is in the video description. You need a source port that at least supports Boom line actions at a minimum, preferably ZDoom or one of its derivatives such as GZDoom. Of course, Brutal Doom is not in the package as that is up to you to do. P.S. This is a work in progress, I am doing both Doom games. E1M1 to E3M1 are Overkillized and currently MAP01 to MAP15 for Doom 2 in the RC. However, the new edits seen above were recently and were after the RC upload a week or so ago.
  5. I've heard that it is possible to mod Xbox 360 games. Does anyone know how to and what programs I would need to do so. I specifically interested in modding my games: Skyrim, Mass Effect 2, and Left 4 Dead 2. Any help would be appreciated. Xbox Gamer Tag - Rainer1993
