  5. Special thanks to Image & Form Games for providing me a copy of this game and to be honest, a game like this is something I SO WANT to enjoy. Before anyone asks, I played Steamworld Dig and it was a fun exploration type game reminiscent of Metroid but with digging and searching for jewels. However here, Steamworld Heist takes place in outer space. However instead of playing as one character, you get to play with an entire party of like-minded space cowboy robots that kick butt and take names. Not only that but you can collect water (currency) in order to buy new weapons, items and to extend your storage. It's really fun and I was able to record the first hour of it. If people like it then I'll do more because honestly, I love this game. So much so in fact that I hope to get it on Wii U and 3DS. Why? Because I want to support these guys. They're awesome. But if you want to see the game for yourself, here's the video.

  7. Sony has officially announced they have shut down the DriveClub developer; Evolution Studios. After a long and tumultuous development, the team released DriveClub, which was released to a fairly mixed critical reception. Critics praised the visuals, sound design, and the controls, but criticized the online playability, and gameplay variety. A year ago, 55 of Evolution's employees were laid-off, but now, Sony has had to make the tough choice in making the rest of Evolution's staff redundant. Sony said it would try to reallocate some of the Evolution team to other studios, but the company's aware that it may also lose some serious talent - "Regular reviews take place throughout SCE Worldwide Studios, ensuring that the resources that we have in such a competitive landscape can create and produce high quality, innovative and commercially viable projects. As part of this process we have reviewed and assessed all current projects and plans for the short and medium term and have decided to make some changes to the European studios structure. As a result, it has been decided that Evolution Studio will close. It is regrettable that this decision will lead to compulsory redundancies. We accept that this decision will mean that we risk losing high calibre staff but by focusing on other Studios that already have exciting new projects in development we believe we will be in a stronger position going forward and able to offer the best possible content of the highest quality for our consumers. Where possible we will try to reallocate people onto other projects. If appropriate opportunities are not possible within the company, we will assist staff in any way we can, including speaking with local employers and with other development companies. Evolution has been an important part of SCE Worldwide Studios for over 10 years - working on ground-breaking racing titles like WRC, Motorstorm and DRIVECLUB. This decision should not take anything away from the great work that Evolution has produced." Source - http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-03-22-sony-confirms-closure-of-evolution-studio Although DriveClub wasn't the greatest of titles, I wish those who lost their jobs the best of luck.
  8. Make this happen please! The Gamespot news article http://www.gamespot.com/articles/microsoft-wants-ps4-and-xbox-one-to-connect-online/1100-6435633/ And the announcement on XBox.com https://news.xbox.com/2016/03/14/letter-chris-charla-idxbox-updates-gdc/ If I'm understanding this correct, the ball is in the court of Sony and third party publishers. I would kill to make this happen and whilst I don't see this happening overnight it's just great to see Microsoft putting this forward as a serious possibility.
  9. According to a registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, on December 28th Sony filed for a rather vague but interesting mark named “Days Gone.” The mark is filed under Class 9, identifying game software, as well as Class 41, online game software. It’s worth mentioning that class 41 doesn’t necessarily mean that, if we’re talking about a new game, it will be online. The class is required for any kind of online feature, including smaller ones like leaderboards and similar. As of yet, Sony hasn’t shown or released anything that gives a clue to what this trademark might be related to. Could it be a new IP? Only time will tell. You can drop your best guesses in the comments and check out the listing below: Source - http://www.dualshockers.com/2016/01/04/sony-files-trademark-for-unannounced-online-game-days-gone/ This has seriously peaked my interest, now I wonder if this is a game that has been in development for a while, or if it is something that has just began its development?

  11. Hello all, I've recently come into ownership of a PS2, (PS1), and a PS3. I have never owned a PlayStation console in my life (I grew up with Nintendo) and am looking to own a library of select, classic, great games to experience the best PlayStation has to offer. To you guys I look for some experienced advice as to what I should purchase for these consoles. Here's a list of what I already own: PS1: FFIV FFV FFVI Chrono Trigger PS2: Shadow of the Colossus MGS 3 Director's Cut Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition Kingdom Hearts FFX FFXII Special Edition Persona 3 Collectors Edition Persona 4 Golden PS3: Demon's Souls Dark Souls Dark Souls II Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Ni No Kuni Valkyria Chronicles Red Dead Redemption I'm more interested in Single Player RPGs but I'll play anything that's considered a classic, and if the game was re-released I'm more interested in the original version (with the exception of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 final mix). Thanks guys!
  12. These are 3 games I'm looking forward too, but I'm worried that Corporate Commander will ruin them either by lots of dlc that we have to pay for or BF4 2.0 launch fiasco. I'm not saying that it could happen but I'm sick of triple A titles falling in to this bad trend What are you though my fellow gamer, should we pro order these games or wait for them to go down in price?
  13. Hey Angry Army!! I finally have the time to join this renowned group of diverse and awesome gamers like myself (hope I don't sound cocky). 18. It seems to be common practice for game developers to make laughably terrible movie/film licensed games. Nonetheless there are some that deserve to be played and are given a bad name by other games of the type. I personally loved Spiderman 2 for it's gameplay and open world even for the playstation 2. So my question for you all is what are the best movie licensed games?
  19. Ok, I hate to ask for votes like this, on a forum, but I would at least like to know how well I did with the Play Station project painting thing. If you like it, give it a vote, if not, tell me why and maybe I can make up a new one that will look better. And by all means, post your own here so that I can take a look at it and comment/vote on it also! http://greatnessawaits.gamermasterpiece.com/#gallery/medium/14065
  20. This is going to be a really weird question, but can you take a Ps3 on an airplane? I'm going to England soon for about 3 weeks and i wanted to bring my playstation over with me so that my friends and I can play it. However the new policies have been put into place saying that if you have an electronic device, it has to be able to switch on in order for it to go on the flight with you. Now obviously you can't switch a playstation on without it being plugged into the wall, and I don't want to get there just for my baby to be taken off of me Can anybody help?
  21. Recently, I ran through Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the Vita. I thought that the game looked great, for a vita game, and had a great narrative and really solid characters, but the gameplay was as dull as fucking dishwater. I mean, I was literally falling asleep at the controls, because everything that happens in the game happens at a snails pace. That said, I thought the story and the characters were great and it really got me interested in the main games, if only for the story. With that in mind here are my main questions. How representative is Golden Abyss of the rest of the franchise. Are the mechanics the same? Do enemies actually reload their guns in the PS3 games? Are the hit boxes as laughably bad? Are the climby bits more interactive in the PS3 versions? Is the story of the PS3 versions worth it? PS: Naughty Dog seems to really be nailing down character development in video games, no? Also, please feel free to post any thoughts or opinions of the Uncharted series in general here as I'm interested in not only having my question answered, but also hearing peoples opinions on the mechanics the game employs.
  22. I honestly cant tell if this ia awesome or stuipid! What do you guy's think? EDIT: I just noticed this the 666th topic posted on PS4! LoL!
  23. Should WarFrame be added to supported games for the AJSA?

  25. A rather large thread and probably one that most people will have a HUGE variety of choice in. Feel free to post why you like the system you select & which system it was you chose. So without further flooding of the start post lets begin: My favourite Console of all time would have to be the Nintendo 64 because it's got the best selection of games that i remember off by heart & enjoyed while growing up as a child in the 90's, popular titles such as, Conkers Bad Fur Day or Zelda: Ocarina of Time are just a few titles to name, and many of the games on the system were 4 player because there was no Online play, it was fantastic back in the day & i still enjoy a game of Mario Party with my friends.
