  1. Atention cadets! You have been chosen to fight for the empire and for our Lord Commander Joe him self. So prepare your guns and light sabers. Charge your lightning and let the galaxy feel the power of the Angry army. You can contact following people and you will be invited on the boar of our Mighty Star Destroyer. There you will be trained. Lirith Arreyanne Giltharis See you on battlefield soldier imperial officer Giltharis, Propaganda division Please ask for invites here in this topic. We can alwas arange guild invite. Another way is to join AJSA Team speak. Officers and members should be on TS while playing SWTOR. Also if none of people mentioned above is online, you can ask any member of AJSA who you meet in game. Anyone can send you and invite. I would also ask active members to send me PM with most active Character name. I will add them to the list of potentional recruiter.
  2. Hi folks, Yesterday I played a lot of PvP and I was realy frustrated by the way how people plays PvP. So I decided to write some basic so our members doest not dishoner Angry Army. I will be editing post so you can check it regulary. Also I expect that our PvP officer will add his post or will Edit mine. Basics Rule 1 - PvP is not about YOU its about yor TEAM I cant stress this enough. None of the PvP arenas can be won by your selves. Every is about goals. If you focus on completing them you will do much more than by just killin 100 players.. I will remind you of goals in arenas. Huttball - Love or hate it. Your goal is to score more points than enemy team. You are scoring point by bringing ball to enemy line. Team who scores 6 points first wins even when there is time. When there is a tie on time out victory goes to team which holds the ball in that time. Tips: Huttball is only arena where by killing oponents you actualy can ruin chances for your team! Attacking - When you have ball you need to push aside your oponents. Outmanuever them and lock them in local fights. But DO NOT KILL THEM. If you kill them they will spawn in their home base and if their shield is down you will find them defending place you need to go. Support, Heal, Protect your ball handler. Try to force oponents to attack you idealy in larger numbers... drag them out from the handler - whatever suits your role. Also you can move forward and wait on tactical places to recieve a ball. If you are carrying the ball - pass it forwand if you cant survive or if you see well placed team member (Idealy on different floor than you are). Stealth, Speed and good passing is far supperior to anything else you can do. Defending - Now you can unleast predator in you. When you are defending kills are encouraged. You will send them back and hold their push by that. Allways watch for ball handler. Its better to leave unfinished enemy than stop focusing handler. Slow is the key here. Slow their progres. Do not let them pass your main defence line. Keep few guys back just to kill anyone who is positioning to recieve ball and score (Mainly operatives and assassins) Final note: Huttball is mode where shine unbalance of the classes. If there is enemy who knows what to do and has good group for it. (Power tech tank, Assassin tank, 2x operative) You cant win - dont get frustrated its a game. Voidstar - Use your head and tactical positioning Your goal is to reach the data core (if attacking) or Defend it (if defending). Attack - Best known tactic is send majority of team on one door and to second you send 2 steathers with infinite stun. Then can capture it without sweat if enemy is not prepare for it (usualy he is not). During attack its needed to move through doors as soon as posible. Because times are compared during tie. Also if you defended last round first doors. When you as attacker break them, you win the game. Defend - Defence is crucial. When you do not let your enemies to place a bomb you have good advantage to next round (if there is one) or you have good chance to win. Never NEVER let the door guarder by only one person. If you do your propability to loose is near 100%. Tips: This is game of atrition. Most important thing here is to be able to fight long time. So resource management and healing are crucial. Try to save your resources to be able to make spikes if enemy is let say about half health acros visible team. You will be able to start avalanche of death. If you use your resources at the begining you risk that their healers will have time to mitigatge that and you will lack firepower (or healing power) when you need id most. Keep calm: PvP can be stresing but Voidstar is tactical game. You have to be avare of state of door you are protecting. Also you need to be avare of your resources, healtch and idealy positions of your team mates on map. Also watch chat. You can learn about problem and solve it. Hypergate Goal is to hold as many pylons as you can. If both teams have 1 pylon you gain points by transporting energy and by killing enemy players. Tips: As in Voidstar game is about defence and atrition. Keep your team together (Always guard Pylon with 2 or 3, rest can move the map). In combat remember that your death (or death of anyone in team) will cost you much. So usualy its more important to not give up life than take one. Dont be greedy. Play safe. Also if you have both pylons when reset comes you gain points of oposing tema (points are lock to pylon and are finaly writen to the team who holds it before reset) So it is good tactic to send 2-3 stealthers to get it lets say 30 secs before reset. Coast battle/Alderaan Goal is to capture control towers. Towers controls guns - Guns do damage to the target (Ship on alderaan and Bunker on coast) On coast you need to hold two at once to do damage (one tower does nothing) On Alderaan every tower does constant damage to the target. Main think is to decide whitch towers are important and focus ONLY on on two of them. Its pointless to split forces to try to get all three (Its good idea to sometimes send one man test the defences on last and thus force them to guard it and let you have one free man)
  3. Tonight May the 24th AJSA completed a milestone in our quest to dominate the galaxy, Kuat Drive yards has delivered our Flagship. Thanks to Eiousx, for delivery the final contribution to the Drive yards that completed the vessel. (He personally donated the last 18 Million, if you're a member give him a kudo's either in game, here on the forums, or anyways you feel works for you) Also a big thanks goes to all members who donated any amount to finalized the purchase of our Dreadnaught . What does this mean for the guild? Simply put we can now launch conquest of planets. These events change on a weekly and Bi-weekly bases. It will require many hours of preparation for the guild to take a planet. We will need crafter's, people to run FP's, WZ's, Op's, and Herioc's depending on which planet we wish to take. News concerning Planetary contest will be coming shortly. Thanks again to all guild members who have donated and made this possible. Arreyanne This post has been promoted to an article
  4. Should The Angry Army Play SW:TOR? Leave your vote and your opinion in the Thread Below! *No Flamewars *No Council Bashing *Respect Current Decisions, but know it can be reversed with enough demand from members in The AJSA! Pros: Free To Play (F2P): You do not need a subscription in order to pick up this game.Movie-Quality Voice Acting: The voice acting in this game is amazing. It makes you feel like you are part of one of the Star Wars episodes. Many Story Branches: You can actively shape the base story in many ways.Standard MMO Mechanics: If you have played WoW, you should be at home with the some of the mechanics in this game. This could be a pro or a con.New Expansion on the Way: SWTOR has had one major expansion (Rise of the Hutt Cartel) which requres you to pay an extra $10 (one time) purchase. In early December, subscribers will begin to have access to the newest digital expansion, which is free (Yay!) called Galactic Starfighter. The meat and bones of that expansion is essentially space dogfighting, at least according to BioWare (We'd just have to see if that holds). There are also certain events, such as Bounty Contract Week and the arrival of the Gree ships which add more content to the game.Cons: Serious Crutch for Non-Subscribers: F2P players and Preferred players (those that made a carte market purchase), are really restricted unless they buy the right to say, wear Artifact (most powerful type) armor and even have more than 350,000 credits accumulated per character. A full list of these restrictions is located here.Class Balancing needs Balancing: Throughout the life of this game, BioWare has tried repeatedly to "balance" class abilities for PVP. One of the instances where this has failed, according to the consensus of the SWTOR community is on the Patch 2.0 update. The patch severely buffed some classes, while nerfing others, namely Mercs/PT. They need to understand that balancing the classes does not mean "uber nerf" one or two of them for the sake of improving the others by comparison.Rise of the Hutt Cartel: There were serious expectations for this expansion, and not many were met. RoTHC leaves a lot to be desired, especially for a $10 expansion.Cartel Market: I find the cartel market to be one of the reasons why people sometimes say this game is pay-to-win. If you want to have more than 4-5 rows of space in inventory, you have to dish out cartel coins for it. There are also the armor sets they tend to release as part of one of the cartel packs. Those armor sets are adaptive, meaning you can install modifications and enchantments into them and they will mimic the most powerful armor type wearable by your class. The only way to really get adaptive armor w/o the cartel market is doing certain heroic dungeons, flashpoints and bonus questlines for the actual planets. Current Council Decision: Approved! Game Sub-forums and TS expanded channels to be created. Guild Leader will be TheFantasticFunk. Primary Guild will be with the Empire on the US East Server Jedi Covenant. *Based on Community Votes Command will decide to play the game in question if enough demand is there within The AJSA! Regardless of their decision or personal preferences - good game-specific Officers will be recruited and an additional commander maybe added to the roster to help oversee this game primarily. ***Please Remember that even if The Angry Army doesn't Officially Support The Game or Create a Game Division within it, that you can by all means still play the game with your AJSA Tag if you would like to do so!
  5. Hello guys, Reasoning for Request: I think it would be great if we had a presence in Star Wars the Old Republic, an MMO developed by BioWare, which by extension is owned by EA (Shoot those EA bastards!). In all honesty, although the game shows some EA trademark tendecies when releasing new patches and witht he cash shop, its not that bad. We could party up to tackle the Heroic dungeons and quest together in small groups and get together to do the later Operations in groups of up to 25 players. Not to mention, who doesn't want to be able to play as a Jedi or Sith? Overview: You can find an overview of the game on the game's official website here. 7. just have to say after following Joe for years and being apart of the AJSA. Seeing this community come together is awesome. From all the topics I have seen so far I'm glad that all gamers who are part of the AJSA can all get along and let gamers do what they do best. Play games with other gamers. I know this might sound silly but it's true, there's no topics of PS4 poops on Xbone or Xbone shits on PS4 same with PC. It just feels great being apart of a gaming community out there who all gets along and are great people to play with. So when I get my next pay coming in I'm going to try to do a donation if possible. So thanks Angry Joe and Thanks to everyone who is apart of a great gaming community. With all these AJSA members now I'm starting my own YouTube Channel for SWTOR videos just to do Let's plays and guides and tips for everyone out there including members of the AJSA out there who play SWTOR which from the topics I have seen that some do. So thanks a bunch again everyone and Glad to be a part of this community. Here's a Link to my First ever SWTOR video. I apologise for anything in the video as its my first time making a Video and editing one also. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv4NV1TmCbY
  8. SWTOR. People plays the it. Even though I am not people, i's play it the toos on Red Eclipse server. SO. Double XP weekend starts tonight at 6PM GMT and I decided to makes it the it. MY QUESTION IS... WOULD SOMEONE WANT TO JOIN A TALE OF AWESOMENESS? I shall be online during that time (6 gmt) and on Team Speak.. Anyone is free to join as the game is F2P nowadays, although I recommend being a subscriber. The following leveling event shall occur in the Red Eclipse server. We shall discuss whether we should go Empire or Republic. If so happens people have characters around 15-20 we will start there. This leveling is because of the sweet-ass space battle update that has an early access that starts at the 3rd of December. I repeat, anyone may join. (The Red Eclipse server is a UK based server so United Statians and Asia/Mediterranian people, prepare to get your ping rustled) CHEERS... ..And may the Mass x Acceleration be with you. (F=MA) <- sum simple physics for yas.
