(First of, I'd like to say that I didn't post this in the Troubleshooting forum because the description says "To build a new computer or change parts", and I sure hope I don't need none of that) So, the story goes, I went on my Toshiba Satellite 2 days ago, and did everything I'd normally do on it, go to the internet, play some games, etc. But then yesterday, as I was starting up the PC, after the loading bar under Microsoft Corporation, it stayed on a black screen, for ever and ever. I tried beating it, turning it upside down, beating it again, it didn't do jack. I turned it off and on, and when given the option to run the "Repair Files" thingy (I don't really know how to say it in english), it just went on and on...yesterday I waited 2 hours and didn't fix anything. I searched the web, but all people say is remove the battery, but if I asked my PC "Pretty please?" it would give me the same result: Nothing. Right now, I started the "Repair Files" thingy again, without the battery, to see if I get anywhere if I wait 3 or more hours, but in case it's just wasted time, I'd like to know if any of you has the slightest idea of how to fix this.
I'd like to send a idea up the chain about creating a "Tech Forum" section within the "PC Gaming Central" area of the Forums. Many PC gamers like to talk tech, discuss builds, compare (gaming) performance, share ideas, give component feedback and help with troubleshooting issues. I'm aware that many communities are already dedicated to PC stuff, but I'm proposing a "in-house" broader, community based, gamer oriented forum platform in which AJSA members can participate. I tried starting one in the old forums and many members responded positively to it. However, the gaggle f**k format of those forums made it difficult to maintain and keep visible, so it eventually got buried somewhere in the dozens (hundreds?) of topic pages. So there it is! I'd also like to hear what members think!
Tan531 posted a topic in General DiscussionHello! I have a review that I would VERY much like to post in the Written Reviews section under Community Content, however am unable to do so. I understand this is a new website, and AJ and the moderators have a LOT of work to do around the clock. So this is all stated with the utmost respect and admiration, but it should be brought to someone's attention. Every time I write in my article, and hit preview, I am taken to a 404 not found page with logos and lettering all over the place. If I skip that step, and go straight to post, I get the same issue. I have been trying to make the post for days now. It's been about three. Any ideas? Thank you.
