  1. So back in April, Sega released this little video about Yakuza 7, or Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku as it was named back then. I thought this will be a mode in the game you can play like that Majima Construction minigame in Kiwami 2, BUT NO. This is the actual gameplay of Yakuza 7. It even has screenshots to tell us that yes, this is real. Hmmmm, why does that guy with the guns look so much like Han Joon Gi? Maybe it's his brother or something. This is the equivalent of what AVGN said for Godzilla when the second NES game he played turned out to be a strategy game. Well........ this is gonna be interesting. This might be the first Ryu Ga Gotoku game where I don't buy the Japanese version when it's out, because there's no way in hell that I can brute force my way playing it like the other games I played before. I'm sure this game will turn out to be surprisingly good because Sega knows their stuff. Except Yakuza Dead Souls but no one talks about that game. For now, I'm gonna play Yakuza 0 on PC from a bundle I got, and I'm just gonna have to wait till Yakuza 7 gets released in English. Sega did say that if the combat change in 7 is poorly received by everyone, they'll revert back to the usual combat, so we shall see how this goes!
  2. So I'm currently working as a video game marketing analyst, and one of my tasks is to search for potential Australian youtubers for our client's game promotions. After searching 5000 + channels, I actually found this gaming channel that covers really obscure games. This channel is quite frankly, beyond words. While there are games that I actually played before like Witcher, Ghoul Panic and Crypt Killer, I have never, NEVER seen anything like what 90% of this channel have. Everytime I look at these games, I am amazed. Because WHAT THE FUCK ARE THESE??? I.... I can't..... UUUURRGHHHHHHH!!!!! Now I want to actually play these things!! See this channel at your own risk. It will make you question "what drugs were these devs on???"
  3. Thank God this latest WTF from Arc System Works doesn't involve Dragonball FighterZ which I'm looking forward to so badly. But it's still pretty bad. So those of you probably know about the crossover Blazblue fighting game that also involve Persona, Under Night & RWBY. Sounds good right? Welllllllllll http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/01/half_of_blazblue_cross_tag_battles_character_roster_is_dlc_fans_are_raging Apparently the base game will have 20 characters. Sounds ok right? But here's the kicker: 20 more characters are coming as DLC characters. Nono, not free update dlcs, but paid dlcs............................................... What happened to you Arc System Works?? The dev that brings the excellent & content filled Blazblue series, is now resorting to forcing people to buy a purposefully stripped game for extra money, even though the game is just a completely glorified MUGEN game with reused character sprites, that MUGEN right now have and you can play with them alongside other characters from MANY MANY other games. FOR FREE! Fuck the game & just play MUGEN instead. Oh please don't have Dragonball FighterZ have bullshit in it like the story mode true ending being locked behind a paywall or some shit like that. PLEASE LET THAT GAME BE UNTOUCHED!
  4. A free game that's available on Steam, and also on the game's very own website. I decided to try this game out since it's going to be a few more days before Wolfenstein New Colossus, and I want to play a VN game after I played Root Double, so meh, I gave it a try. So this game is about you, a guy that you can name to whatever you want, joining a Literature club, where you can meet and interact with 4 cute girls: Sayori (the one with the red ribbon) Monika (the one with the white ribbon) Natsuki (the pink haired girl) and Yuri (the long haired girl) It's up to you to decide which one of these girls you want to spend most of your time with, so if you have played a high school romance type Visual Novel before, this game is going to be right up your alley! Oh, and it also comes with this message on the start screen. And after playing this game..... I'm going to have nightmares. Holy mother of shitting Gods. This.... is quite possibly the scariest Visual Novel I have ever played. And THAT...... THAT is saying something considering I have played fucked up VNs like Higurashi and Umineko. Plus this game which has a surprisingly scary as hell route during the part with the girl that looks like Miku from Vocaloid. Doki Doki Literature Club has the most unsettling use of a VN interface ever. It's actually excellently done considering that it's a VN we're talking about where all that happens is you read through texts and see CGS passing around, but this game did it in such a way that I actually freaked the fuck out and quit the game 5+ times whenever something I didn't expect happen, because I'm scared of what's coming up next. The last game that made me do that is Alien Isolation. I actually think that this game is scarier than Resident Evil 7, Outlast 2 and Evil Within 2 from this year. So...... bravo game! I can't spoil anything about this game, other than it's a perfect game in preparation for Halloween. It's a game that you have to play for yourself, and it's free on Steam, so if you want a good scare, try this game out. I give this game the rating of "MAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOP" 9 out of 10. PS. I can't get the game's theme out of my head. It's so...... catchy Oh, and apparently, there's a hidden reference to something called "Project Libitina" in the game file itself, which most likely means that there's going to be a sequel to this game which will explain what the hell is going on. Or maybe it's an upcoming game easter egg. Either way, I can't wait to see what's next from this game dev!
  5. What the fucking fuck is going on in this game??? So this game takes place in Virginia, and you play as this FBI agent Anne Tarver. The story is that your first assignment is to find out what happened to a missing person. You work with another FBI agent named Maria Halperin, but at the same time you're FBI superior assign you to spy on her because they suspect that she's evil. Or something I don't know. And then weird and confusing shit happens afterwards. This is one of those "walking simulator" games, but it's more like an interactive movie. All you do is walk and occasionally click when the game tells you to. Otherwise, you're watching a very. Very. VERY. VERY. VERY confusing film. This game jump cuts all the freaking time just like a movie, so you're in an office, and then all of a sudden you jump into a car, and then after that you jump into a hotel room. It gets really freaking nuts later on in the game. It sounds like a pretty interesting idea for a game. There's games that does this thing in the past called Thirty Flights of Loving and Gravity Bone, games that actually inspired this game, but unlike those games, this game has even less gameplay, and since there's no dialogue, you will most likely be fucking confused out of your mind when you see what's happening in the game. That's right. This game has no dialogue whatsoever, so no one talks. There's even a part in this game where you're in a night club with a singer in it, but since no one talks, all the singer does is stand there in front of her microphone. What's the point of a singer if the singer can't even sing??? The game is all visual, and funnily enough, there are subtitles, but they're only for useless shit, like "machine sound" or "bird humming" or "coffee drops". Might as well have a subtitle for "teabag sound effect" in this game! And that fucking ending....... I don't even know what's going on there. Like, was that supposed to be a drug induced dream or are those actually happening?? The music is freaking awesome though. It fits with what's happening on screen. I give this game the rating of "BZZTTASFGSOEFD WHAT??? WHAT IS THIS FUCKING SHIT??" DO NOT buy this game. Just watch the entire game on youtube because this game is just a movie with minimal gameplay. Here, watch this game, and prepare to be REALLY confused just like this L Player. And me.
  6. This is like watching the late Patrick Swayze do sign spinning for some shitty restaurant. I mean, who went down on who to make this happen?
  7. And this is sequel, a fucking sequel! Who the hell baught the first one? This flood of stupid sim' games is getting out of control.
  8. http://twinbeard.com/frog-fractions/ I'm absolutely speechless. I cannot say anything about this game since it'll spoil everything. This game. This game. This game. This game. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!! BUT IT MAKES MY HEAD SPIN IN DIRECTIONS THAT I CANNOT FATHOM! It's a game that you have to experience for yourself. I cannot spoil a single moment of this game. Prepare to drink sleeping pills after you play it because you are going to need it.
  9. There's a free game on steam I picked up called Only If. What the fuck is up with this game???? So the premise is that you're Anthony. You visit this house party arranged by your girlfriend. Then the game starts in a bedroom presumably after partying all night. After that it gets fucking weird. Now before I start with the insanity, I'll start with telling you the gameplay. It's a simple first person exploration game where you just walk around finding things that the game wants you to do. Surprisingly this game has a lot of variety. One time you'll be walking around looking for stuff the narrator told you, the next thing you're solving puzzles, running from an enemy, and shoot green pots with a revolver. This game has a varied gameplay. Plus the music is both chilling and relaxing, and they're great. Now when I say this game is stranger than Stanley Parable, I mean it. Both games has a similar approach. They are designed to screw with your mind and make you question what the hell is happening. In Stanley Parable you know that it's because you decided to screw with the narrator and he just screws you over. In this game it's the same thing, only it's a lot more unclear and random because you're not given a choice. You just have to get through the "what the fuck just happened" stuff every single time. The game has 2 endings depending on one of the two choices involving a chess pawn at the beginning of the game. In the end, it's all the same. You start with the black pawn and then proceed to the white pawn. If you start with the white pawn first, then you can't choose the black pawn ending. The black pawn path is more straightforward. It has you solving puzzles by following instructions given to you. The white pawn path though will fucking screw with your mind, and it is very2 cryptic. Let me give you a tip on the white pawn path: the game actually wants you to type something on your keyboard. So at the beginning of the path, if you don't type a word the game wants, you will die over and over again in an infinite loop. You're supposed to type the word "honey", and then the game can progress. Then after that, you'll be in this park and then a sentence just pops out of nowhere talking to you. You're supposed to talk by typing yes, no, or whatever the game wants, but you're not told that you are supposed to do that so you'll more likely going to run around the park and getting confused! And then after talking, you're supposed to check the trash cans until a path appears. It's such a weird segment. Overall, this is such a weird game. The ending does make everything ok, but it still doesn't explain what the flying fuck just happened that causes the whole game to act like that. I give this game the rating of "what the FUCK JUST HAPPENED????"
  10. O.k. I think I've finally seen it all. An actual simulator for pigeons... Dating... Yes thats right! A pigeon dating simulator... These are actual words from the Devs (Brace yourselves) “Our research shows that consumer fatigue for space marines and dragons is at an all-time high – gamers are ready for something new and fresh,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “Semi-realistic pigeon dating simulations are the next great frontier in video games.” www.devolverdigital.com/blog/view/mediatonic-and-devolver-digital-remake-hatoful Oooookay... What people were you interviewing ? 102 year olds who enjoy racing pigeons and probably more....? Jesus where do you people get your fucking information from. This shit actually infuriates me... Yes I am mad... This shit is getting retarded stop bringing out bad games and casting them off as a simulator... This shit is getting ridiculous.
  11. Um... I'm lost I can't even.
  12. If you are subscribed to gaming news channels you have seen the teaser for Risen 3. Now I want to ask 1 simple question WHY?!?!?
  13. http://ap.ign.com/en/news/12051/ea-sports-ufc-gets-bruce-lee-and-a-release-date ....... I didn't see this one coming. Playable in 4 weight classes. I hope he's badass enough to destroy every fighter in the game.
  14. Let's just say that this is something I recently discovered when I was watching one of Angry Joe's videos. There are no words to describe it and I can tell that I do NOT like it.
  15. Here's a game I remembered that probably a lot of you don't know it even exists. It's called Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked for PS2. Some of you may know about the anime Samurai Champloo that this game is based of. In case you don't know, here's the basic premise: the story takes place in feudal mishmashed Japan era where there's just mixing different time periods in different episodes. The girl in the middle (Fuu) was rescued by Mugen (Red) and Jin (Blue samurai guy), and they embark on an adventure after these 2 guys accidentally killed a magistrate's son during their "fight to find out who's the best". After that hilarity and badassness ensues. The game doesn't follow the anime's story. Instead it follows a different story created by Suda 51, the creator of Killer 7, No More Heroes and recently Killer is Dead. And in Suda 51's usual storytelling fashion, it's fucked up, although it follows the style of the anime quite well. The game is a hack and slash game which lets you play as either Mugen or Jin, and they both play differently. Mugen is more acrobatic and Jin is the usual samurai badass which uses formal samurai sword techniques. The game's art style is pretty similar to Suda 51's other games, which you can see right here. During gameplay, the game uses different "music DJ records" which you can purchase from stores and it will affect the background music and character movelists, so it adds to variety on how you want to fight in the game in different stages. The best part of the game is when there's a type of enemy that has stars on their head. Once you hit them, you can go apeshit on your controller, and if you reach 100+ hits or so, you will enter the "kill 100 enemies mode" where every enemy on the screen can be killed in 1 hit and the goal is to kill 100 enemies. If you kill 100 enemies, you'll get a special item, but if you get damaged 3 times, the mode is over. It's kind of repetitive especially if you do this in every stage, but the music during this mode is so freaking awesome that you will not get tired of this mode. I highly recommend this game to fans of both the anime and Suda 51.
  16. You can post more than one thing that you find so ridiculous that it makes you bust your gut laughing. Mine is of course, this. And this. It's actually quite fun just dancing with the video. Sweat a lot too!
  17. So looking for an excuse to post this clip somewhere, I decided "Let's make a thread about it! And let's see what other insanity people have seen!" Now anyone whom actually seen this show, you'll get it. But you others, yeah. So let's see your insane clips! Like that insane one with the soldier who says he'll throw someone down on the ground and.. Yeaah.
  18. I thought a day like this would never come, a "online Skyrim". The excitement i had when i heard about this game was through the roof. I was fortunate enough to take part in the beta for ESO, participating in its stress tests and such and it truly will blow out all of its competition. The gameplay is smooth, playing with friends will be some of the best video game experiences you will ever have. But then came that one fateful day where my biggest question was answered. Will it be free to play? Sadly from what I read, it will be 13$ a month. Is this worth it? Will this affect your thoughts about getting the game? Should they separate players member and non-member and let the paying members get exclusive items? lets hear it.
  19. As we can see,big releases are starting to get plagued by bugs/glitches more often. Take the case of Assasin's creed series, they're not only glitches, but game breaking bugs aswell. Another one:Batman Arkham:Origins, which was full of bugs post release, ranging from gliding glitches to ,yet again, game breaking bugs.Seriously, you couldn't finish The Riddler's sidequest because of this bug. Total War Rome 2 is another example. You couldn't even change your graphic settings. And the A.I.,Oh God! I can understand bugs and glitches in budget games, and 1 or 2 bugs in big releases, but when the game is full of them, its unacceptable, even more when you pay beta testers to test your game and it has a game breaking bug. So,I'm curious what's your take on this situation?Who do you think is responsible? Is it greed? Is it because beta testers are doing a bad job?Do you think this situation will ever be fixed?
  20. Anyone played or know about this game? For those that don't know, it's quite a simple game. The narrator of this game guides you through the game, and it's up to you if you want to follow him or not. The ending depends on if you follow the narrator or just screw with him, which will lead to a lot of hilarity. Here's the playthrough of the game from one of the LPyer that is actually in the trailer of this game. He cracks me up.
  21. I just had a blast to the past just now. I stumble across this game back when I was hunting down Dreamcast games that I can play through my emulator, and I found one game title that intrigues me when I first saw it. It's called Despiria. The game is completely in Japanese except for a couple of simple things like the main menu. My first impression of the first part of the game is: ..... what the fuck am I watching??? Then I heard the kickass looping music and I actually become intrigued with what the game is about, so I did a bit of a research. Turns out this game is made by Atlus, the guys behind the great Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. The game takes place in the future where the whole world is dominated by the church, and body augmentation like in Deus Ex Human Revolution. You play as this girl who is an agent of the church who must go to eradicate heretics that wants to spread chaos to the world, or at least that's what one of the description of the game actually says. She uses the worm in the opening to unleash her psychic power that you can use to combat enemies and read people's minds. I don't understand what the characters in this game says since it's all in Japanese, but the plot is actually pretty straightforward once you play the game yourself. This game is like a mix between Myst and a typical turn based JRPG where there's random encounters and you level up through beating enemies. One unique thing about this game is that the combat system in this game uses these 2 little creatures similar to the Persona series that assist you in combat. You upgrade your creatures by going to this machine that gives you energy boost or whatever, and you can create different combinations of monsters depending on which monsters you combine. Basically it's like the fusion function in Pokemon. Surprisingly, even though I have no freaking clue what this game actually is about, I managed to finish this game till the end by just randomly doing different things. The graphic is pretty damn muddy and bland even for Dreamcast standard, and the character design in this game is what I can call nightmare incarnate. I mean look at these enemies right here. And look at these NPCs. What the fuck is up with these character designs??? You make the enemies in this game disfigured beyond belief and the NPCs pale white like ghosts?? Although the one with black bikini and the red haired robot looks cute. The music in the game kicks ass though, even though it's just a bunch of looping musics. It's oddly blood pumping and awesome, unlike the music from Terminator NES and Wayne's world that's just plain horrible. I'm not going to post more of the parts of this game since it's going to bring nightmares. Although if you guys are interested to see it, let me know! Meh, I'll post this part with the best music in the game. The music starts at 6:55. Enjoy!
