  1. Hail, Mechwarriors! This is the Hall of Valhalla, where fellow mechwarriors showcase their achievements. Whenever you have an excellent match, post a screen shot of the Team Stats page. At this time, you may post as many as you like, within reason, but the match score must be a 400 match score minimum. Extremely odd matches may be posted as well. This is a place to celebrate our achievements! Likes only, do not post comments. No guts, no galaxy.
  2. For anyone that considers themselves a completionist in the modern era of gaming are all aware of those seemingly impossible or just plain buggy/glitchy acheivements that plague our game lists. I wanted to share one that is not bugged out but eludes me to this day. I have spent countless hours working on the achievements that came with Arkham Knight's DLC challenge pack 6 including "The Chill in the Air" , "The Curtain Falls" and "Requiem for a Killer." I do not claim to be an expert at this game by any means nor do I have an insanely high Gamerscore. In fact I recently created a new profile for my switch over from PS4 to Xbox One and it is less than 3 months old. Unfortunately I have been unable to mark this game off of my list this year all due to the wonderful inclusion of challenge pack 6. All of that being said, I would love to know what achievements or trophies have given you the most issues to get, or did you give up on trying to complete it?
  3. So most people who have been following Xbox One's backwards compatibility title knows that Assassin's Creed is finally BC! I was very excited to get an opportunity to go back through these titles one by one beginning with the original. I placed the disk into the game and it downloaded like normal but after playing a short time, the game crashed. I reloaded from the last check point and it again crashed at the same spot. Thinking there was a problem with the download, I exited and checked my achievements tab out of habit and I saw something very strange. There are 2 separate Assassin's Creeds downloaded to my profile, one is the typical green and white Xbox 360 logo along the left side of the game image while the other contained a grey platinum hits logo across the top. This is a profile that has never played an Assassins Creed game up until this point and I do not even own the Platinum Hits version of the game. As you can see from the attached image, one shows progress out of 1000G while the other says 0G/0G. The game keeps crashing at the same point in time (when obtaining a flag in Masyaf on the NE side). I called Microsoft and they said to delete the profile and re-download it and also to delete the install of the game and reinstall that also. As you can imagine, that did absolutely nothing but waste my time and patience. I know that the emulator that is used in backwards compatibility does not download from the disc and only uses the disc for the licenses. The game that says 0G does not show up on my friends view when they look at my profile but is on my screen. I told Microsoft and they then classify it as an unknown issue and I am currently waiting for someone "with more information" to contact me at a later time. I am posting this here to see if anyone has experienced this with any of their backwards compatible titles or is this truly just a freak incident? Any information would be appreciated and for the time being I am reinstalling Assassin's Creed for the 3rd time so I can play it.
  4. Hey I know this sounds ridiculous, but I was seeing if someone out there could help me beat the story on legendary for HALO ODST. I know that game was a huge disappointment, but what was an even bigger disappointment was that I didn't get the achievement for beating it on legendary when I played with my buddy for some reason. And now he doesn't want to do it all over again, and I can't blame him. Its a shot in the dark, but if anyone wants to help me out, message me here. My gamertag is ShakeyBootsocks
  5. I love to hunt for achievements, it's always exciting to get that notification, that tells you earned an acievement for something you did ingame. however i've had multiple games where some of the achievements could not be obtained for some odd reason. for example The achievement is broken and cannot be obtained no matter how many times you try The achievement requires you to do something in the game, that is disabled or have been entirely removed from the game (saints row 3 and 4 for example) The achievement could only be obtained in a short time span and cannot be obtained again (most of valves multiplayer games) The multiplayer for an older game is completely dead and there is no way to obtain the multiplayer achievements (too many to even list) This is of course really frustrating when you're trying to get the game 100% complete of achievements and you simply can't because of some Or am i the only one who becomes frustrated when i encounter a "broken" achievement that i can't obtain when i had decided to complete a game 100% for achievements?
  6. As a fellow Completionist who has just 100% Dark Souls and reached the time of 300 hours total, one question came into my mind. What was the best, most worthwhile or entertaining completion you've played in a game and what was your record time? Some games just are very approachable and this doesn't make them any less entertaining to play, as it makes you learn and spend time to overcome the challenge. One example of my multiple favourites was Far Cry 3 and reaching around 50 hours. So tell me, what was your favourite?
  7. Do you think the display of any achievement/trophy score should be controlled by you? This includes you wanting to see it or not as well as anybody else!
  8. Hey guys, I was wondering how other people felt about achievements and trophies. I'm asking because, recently, I've been on a big achievement kick trying to reach 100,000 gamerscore, and throughout my Xbox career, I feel like achievements can really add to how long I play a game and how much enjoyment I get out of it. It's gotten to the point where I'll actually critique a game based on good/bad achievements, or if an achievement is glitchy, etc. So my question is, do you care about them, and how do they impact how you game?
  9. What happend to achievements? Achievements is supposed to give you an sense of accomplishment, like "Kill 5 enemy soldier in a row with knife", it wouldnt be a easy task, but when you finally did it you would have a sense of accomplishment. But now most are like "Congrats you finished this level", Im like yeah so. Take first mission (if you can call it that) in Call of Duty: Ghost, most of your time you spend not doing anything that would at all challenge you, mostly just moving from A to B and press the button when it flashes on the screen. There is no fealing of achievements.
