  1. As the title says, EA has given the permission to revive an old classic. The Battle Forge, now known as Skylords Reborn, will have most of its gameplay features present. There will be no paid DLC or (paid) updates, everything is free and not related to EA. And I'm somewhat worried because EA is a greedy company and I suspect they'll try to C&D the whole thing if it proves popular enough. Will they try to resell the game to us afterwards or take over the servers and make them Pay2Play? In any case microtransactions are guaranteed to show up if that happens. Am I just paranoid? What do you think about the whole situation?
  2. Are Battle Royal games here to stay or is this just a phase? This a question I’ve been asking myself a lot recently and I want to know what other people think. The Battle Royal genre has taken the gaming community by storm because of its power to create intense “to the death combat” that has players like myself gripping there controllers as if they were in a real life stand of. But are the lack of game modes and content available due to the core mechanics of this genre damaging their longevity? Personally for me, PUBG is a great game and loads of fun to play but it gets old quickly due to limited maps and no progression system. Fortnite does this somewhat better with its battle pass giving players something to work towards but in the end it’s all cosmetic and doesn’t add anything to the gameplay. However EPIC GAMES have taken strides to add more weapons and abilities into the core which is excellent, I just wonder if it’s just the latest cash cow or whether it’s here to stay. What are your thoughts AJSA?
  3. It's morphin time! Yeah the game just came out today and I'm covering it. Not a long playthrough but hey, it'll be fun. Here's the first part... The Invasion has begun! Though I would imagine Angry Joe and Other Joe would morph into Power Rangers to fight the evil emperor, Corporate Commander.
  4. The AJSA, Elder Scrolls Online, PvP Home campaign is..... < Haderus > We will also be using Azura's Star from time to time, so may be worth setting as your guest *Post to be updated once we have an AJSA home campagn * edited 05 Aug 2015 with home campaign details
  5. Greetings Fellow AJSA Members, Soldiers and High Commanders, I would like to propose from a lowly newb that has just signed up today to possibly rally together a clan or another such group of people that are die-hards for the realm of strategy. It is always a privilege watching your glorious armies on the field of battle inflicting as much pain and destruction as possible on your enemies and as such, cultivates a strong sense of competition and rivalry that matches even that of the ultra-dominant FPS and MOBA genres. Strategy games have always been an intense passion of mine and have been raising empires since the release of such timeless classics as Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Black and White and even Rise of Nations. I would very much love to see if there would be any interest for getting support together for creating a clan or reviving any dormant servers to allow players from all walks of life to come together and game in this particularly epic area of gaming. Whilst this may seem a self-indulgent piece of writing it would be a great honour if there could be any consideration to setting up a foundation upon which other like minded strategy gamers such as myself can meet up and take on other players in the spirit of good sportsmanship and pitting of wits. If there has been a debate like this in the past and a reasonable conclusion that was met on behalf of the AJSA council then I only wish that someone from the reigning hierarchy take pity on this plea and see if it can be explored for future gaming endeavours. It has been said that Angry Joe himself gets a little jumpy when he doesn't receive a fix of good old strategy every once in a while and I share in those very same feelings if I am not at the forefront of an epic battlefield and striking down the enemy in righteous fury! Thank you and I am very much looking forward to replies from across the board, be they simple suggestions to full fledged debate that can arise form this posting. Best of Luck and Regards from a grunt trying to possibly make something of himself Cheers!
  6. For those of you who don't know what a bodybag match is, it's a match where the victor wins 6-0 or 5-0 if they let one of their pokemon die for a switch advantage. My first bodybag happened in X/Y when i was getting into competitive battling (and back into pokemon in general.) It was against my friend Alex. To be honest, he's sort of a noob when it comes to battling. He sometimes doesn't switch his pokemon out when he has a type disadvantage just because he thinks theyre THAT strong (he didn't switch out his "beloved" venusaur when i sent in choice band darmanitan, or swampert when i sent in Rotom-C). He also will reply "fuck that" if you ask him if he does IV/EV's, boosting moves like Calm Mind, or items other than leftovers. Still, he's very cocky and 6-0ing him was like defeating Gary in real life. What was your first bodybag experience? Was it extremely satisfying?
  7. We heard AJ's opinion on how the conflict would resolve but I am curious of who the Angry Army thinks who would win with equal prep time?
  8. The Angry Army decided Batman would lose to Superman, now lets up the stakes shall we. This fight is a chance encounter with no power limits, on Earth not near a city,
  9. What strategy do you think is best. My personal favorites are Rise of Nations and Battle for the Middle-earth 2.
