Hey guys and gals! James here aka Wade D McGinnis. Today I give you the review for Prey. This is a title similar to System Shock, Bioshock, Dishonored and a little bit of Prop Hunt. For this review I played the game on Playstation 4. Had a number of bugs and really felt torn by this title. Have a look at the review and let me know your thoughts on the game!

  3. This video really got me thinking, and I wanted to hear more opinions on the matter, I tried the comments in the video... but the comments might aswell just be pictures of people with ''Dark Souls' '' cock in their mouths. I haven't played Far Cry, but I did play Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite and I enjoyed them A LOT, I didn't exactly know what the Vita Chamber revival took from you, so I tried to do the Campaign with saves, I saved before Big Daddy fights or anything challenging, which meant that I would just wait for a loading screen and take off a few seconds before the fight, nothing lost, but I was still tense at the fights, I was still frustrated when I died or failed in some way. Sure it wasn't as intense as Dark Souls 2 / 1 was for me, but in Dark Souls 2, whenever I'd make a stupid mistake and die and lose a lot of Souls or for a more particular example when I was fighting the big Demon in the lava, I was shooting him with Lightning Bolts and my last one took him down do just 1 hit with my Rapier, so when I pressed the button to chug another one at him, and my character did the ''I'm out of spells'' animation, I just shrugged it off and went in to stab him AFTER trying to choose an appropriate moment, which resulted in his giant fist landing on my character and then ''YOU DIED", which resulted in me throwing the controller and ALT F4 cause that was like my 10th - 15th attempt, for Dark Souls 2 which I completed fully about 3 times, it took about 15 minutes to cool off and get right back in to die, but for Dark Souls 1 it turned from minutes, to hours, to days , even weeks. I don't know why but I have Dark Souls 1 and I barely find the motivation to play it, maybe I don't like it as much as I did DS2. And so I struggle to determine ''Did I enjoy beating deranged people with Drills/Wrenches and Bees or did I enjoy yelling at the screen , throwing my controllers around , spending a lot of time in Google to determine where I'm supposed to go and when and which stats is for what and most of all repeating the same fights over and over again until I memorized them down to the smallest details which yielded that great moment when you finally kill the boss? I just can't tell, sure maybe the frustration improved the ''taste'' of Victory, but still, It's frustration, anger, those aren't exactly fun to experience, I had less of them in Bioshock so I think I liked it more. * shrugs * Anyway, I'm interested in hearing your opinions on the matter, which do you personally enjoy more? Of which do you think should be more? Even better if you could give examples during your playthrough.
  4. Ok now let's try and make this fair and as simple as possible. I am not saying anyone should go view/play the BioShock Parody game. However if you want to talk about and reply to this topic I think it would make sense. I was watching a youtube video and was surprized to see that the developer of the last game Ken something was mad that there was so much porn based on his main female char for the game. I couldn't care less what he thinks so I looked it up and played the game. Now it is a adult game, at first I was interested in the game and then I very quickly became angry. Why did this game make me angry you ask? The quality of this game puts most games being put out today to SHAME! This parody has better graphics, smoother gameplay and voiceovers then most games I see being sold now! Are you serious? This guy that made it doesn't even have a large budget and he is making better games then these big companies. So I would really like to hear some thoughts on this because it's just sad how good this game is.
  5. Hey guys and gals. Thought I would toss this out there since it seems to be vague semi indie in nature but a very impressive movie is coming out, Snowpiercer. Normally I do not jump on a little box and start explaining why you need to watch this or that but after seeing this movie... it's Bioshock on a train done beyond well. Without spoiling, the world is now a tundra due to chemicals. Prior to the world ending, an eccentric multiple billionaire made a massive luxury train that spans the entire world. Being the "nice guy" that he was, he altered his train to support long term life and grabbed 50,000 people, crammed them into the train and the train has not stopped since the apocalypse. The movie starts from the last car of the train where the poorest of the poor on the train live and where the main character played by Chris Evans, begins his revolution to take all the people at the back of the train to the front where the wealthy yet cruel passengers live. This is really a simple point A to point B movie on the surface but it's all the little things whether they be subtle or pronounced that makes you want to buy the movie now. Elements such as a man becoming a God like figure head in a self contained environment. The inequalities of society, the propaganda from the media to shape public opinion, all of this is done so well. In many ways as I was watching, I could not shake the BioShock feeling. The characters pull similar takes from characters found in BioShock and written works. There is an interesting level of depth. What I found shocking was to hear that the company who made the movie were looking to dumb it down in the edit phase. They were unsure whether mainstream would accept the movie as it stands. If anything, this is how you go about directing, writing a story that compels the viewer to see it to the end. Watch it. When you are done, drop a comment below telling your thoughts. Personally for me, after seeing the entire movie, I feel this would be a solid route for an actual BioShock movie to take. In terms of pacing, story, characters, action etc.

  9. Hi guys I was wondering if I should buy the Burial at Sea DLC. I quite enjoyed Infinite but it didn't blow me out of the water and I kinda regret buying it for full price. Now is the DLC just more of the same or does it change things up? Did you buy the DLC? Are you going to buy the DLC? Please let me know what you think.
  10. Its a sad day for gaming as Irrational studios have announced they are shutting shop and moving on heres the story: http://kotaku.com/bioshock-studio-irrational-games-is-winding-down-all-1525186316?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Facebook&utm_source=Kotaku_Facebook&utm_medium=Socialflow any thought on this?

  14. SO HEY I just noticed today that my Steam had started downloading a 5.4gb update for BioShock Infinite, meaning that new DLC has been released I was pretty pumped for DLC after playing through the main story, but had almost forgotten about it since it took so long to come out (though the game isn't even a year old yet). According to reviews (tried to avoid spoilers) it's a murder mystery set in 1950's Rapture starring Booker and Elizabeth (?). This concept sounds cool but I don't know how this would fit into the main story. Guess I'll see when the update is finally finished. Reviews are saying it's a bit of a letdown, but hey it's BioShock; I'm sure me and other fans will still enjoy it. Might write a review when I'm done playing it
