  1. Building is 100% free form and this is video by Necromaniak, one of players in alpha tests: ... and this is how it looks many, many hours later: He built this by C.U.B.E. (Camelot Unchained Building Environment) and buildings it will matter a lot for the economy and especially for control and defense of conquered territories. Of course, these images represent only the style and choices of one player - furthermore, this is rather early and rough, alpha tests look of the aforementioned building tool. Structures can be fully destroyed - unless you build offline or in starting zones BUT there will be siege windows (time for destruction) and it should take big number of players and siege engines. Victors will have the choice between leveling conquered buildings to the ground, repairing / inhabiting them or picking them apart for resources - in order to build elsewhere. Another interesting (well, to me at least) aspect is underground building - connected to mining, actual digging of long tunnels underground. Oh, by the way - the game is Camelot Unchained aka "Dark Age of Camelot 2", PvP/building/crafting MMORPG by Mark Jacobs. Some of it's important features are three Realms, 33 different classes (! - but not all will be there by launch), physics and spell collision (say, frost + fire produce steam), players crafting their abilities from components and world - made of huge islands - changing it's texture and shape (!) based on player territory control. Available videos mostly have 2013 i.e. placeholder models and animations, since the team was focused on building and testing their custom made engine, physics and some basic features till recently. This is major reason for NDA still on, but there is couple vines and screenshots giving orientation about game's final look - such as this or this. Game access now is kinda expensive (and, frankly, it isn't worth the money yet, unless you want to support the game) but beta should start in a month or two, and they'll have open beta (free tests) in 2017.

Looked on the forums, but didn't see it here. So I thought I'd share. If you're looking for new building ideas, techniques, or just want to bring your building skills to the next level, I recommend checking out this YouTube channel. https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUCR9Gcq0CMm6YgTzsDxAxjOQ&h=iAQGKOHUz
  3. Hello there, my name is Pepper to most and Aegis101 in game. Me and a few friends in the AJSAGOI community have found ourselves loving this game as a great pass-time. Wonkavicious and I have worked tirelessly to make this club world as homey as possible for those in the clan, and we want to make this place have attractions like pixel art, soccer(yes it is possible), volleyball(also possible) and various other builds that we hope to do. But unfortunately its hard for 2 people to do this much work. So far we've done way more than we ever thought possible. So I am calling upon you, pixel artists, builders, collectors or any player of any kind, join us. The clan is called "Unofficial AJSA", contact me (Aegis101 in game, or Pepper in team-speak (on around 7pm GMT to about 2am GMT)) if you'd like to join, support us, ask for our help or want to know what this game is all about if you are completely confused by the paragraph above. If I can get a large player base working together here and make this game an unofficial or lets shoot for the stars, official supported game by the AJSA it would be my dream. Well, see ya'll later, happy troving and never give up and never surrender. -Pepper
  4. *NOTE: After recent suggestions that a Minecraft server purely for building is too specific, the request has been altered to include survival and possibly contests (Hungergames/PvPvE/etc.). Also, due to the unexpected amount of volunteers, I must unfortunately say that they will be tested first rather than automatically given teacher position. Volunteers will be tested first, then when the server has teachers non-volunteers will be tested if they apply for a position. So I have yet to see a single topic about a Angry Army Minecraft build team, and figured what the heck, might as well give it a go. Let me start off by giving some background of me and the game. I've been building for a few months but have found a decent talent for building and have had lots of support in compliments and critique on the forum I use to showcase my builds. The game itself, in case you haven't heard of it, is a retro graphic game about mining, crafting, building, fighting, and really anything else you could think of. Which brings me to my Pros and Cons. Pros - Fairly cheap ($20) - Easy to learn (comparatively) - Unbelievably compatible to any play style - Open world - Open to creativity Cons - Generally not fun without friends/other people - Eventually requires creativity/artistic talent - A great deal of lag if you play on a laptop or old desktop - A great deal of bugs - Generally has low content depending on playstyle (Fighting/Building/Crafting/etc.) http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1961172-what-ive-built/page__st__40 I realize I'm not the best builder, and am open to suggestions as well as giving the leader to position to a better builder. I just happen to be the first here. Also, I can't pay for servers so if that's a problem then I would gladly give that position or the entire position of leader to someone else. List of Volunteers to be tested for the team (Ignore this, just a list of people who have already volunteered in advance to be a part of the team) - LoneWolf - MrAckle - Wintermanv3 - TheNorthian - smoking0_0gun - aConsoleCouple (aka ElvenBlossom) - SirStriped - BSB (BSWraithmaw) - Nightheaven - DEADMUFFINMAN - SANGUIS - Ender - gabedude123 - Drmurk - Dyzzles - EyesWL - Mighty Falcon - BlondishMist748 *BANNED from AJSA; no profile available for viewing List of unconfirmed volunteers to be tested for the team (Again, just ignore this) - Jjr. - Sir Scoops List of absolute must have volunteers (Coding, redstone, able to support server extensively, etc.; not necessarily all builders) - MaxterG (Able to use redstone; volunteering to build) - Oxyorum (Able to program) - Dr. Xeno Pootis (Able to use redstone; volunteering to build)
  5. I play some nether and made this video displaying true friendship in Nether.
  6. I have been saving money for 3 years now and I don't want it to be in vain. SO please ignore this if you're annoyed by people begging for help. I just trust the kind members of the AJSA in helping me make sure I have no regrets when I invest in this. 7. Terraria is a game near and dear to my heart. For those that don't know, it's a voxel based 2-d game where you create a character and a world to explore, there are numerous enemies to fight or avoid, biomes to explore, and loot to be had. You can have fun building the ultimate fortress, create elaborate mines or underground bunkers (or my personal favorite, the hellevator...a shaft dug all the way from the surface to the Underworld ) some pros and cons of the game are as follows: PROS - you can invite nearly 200 players onto a single server (hardware specs providing of course) - fun boss battles and lots and lots of weapons, armor and accessories to gather - ability to build and shape nearly any block type to make a house/fortress your own (can be as artistic as you like) - lots of NPCs to acquire for your 'town' - a triggerable in-game hardmode for when the regular gameplay gets boring for you - the game is cheap, only $9.99 on Steam CONS - it's not very fun to play by oneself - updates to the game (usually) are few and far between (this does not include bugfixes, the devs are generally good on that front; conent is the main factor) - it can sometimes be difficult to get people together on a server - no voice communication (outside comm systems like ventrilo or teamspeak would need to be used) - game can lag with large numbers of people on server, also block physics (such as liquid flow) can react oddly with more people
  8. Friends! Since the practicality of PC gaming has become more and more evident (thanks to AJ and other PC advocates) I am looking to build a PC for myself. I am on the fence about purchasing a console when it just seems that building my own PC will alleviate some of the headaches of next gen console's and the politics of it all. Rant over. But now I am left without a starting point. Pretty much I'm looking to build a setup exclusively for gaming. Programs such as Office etc. will be reserved for my laptop. So that being said I am hoping to be able to put something together that is: PowerfulAmazing Graphics(Hopefully) AffordableAny input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
