  5. destiny

Hi guys! I just bought Destiny the collection on the PS store for like 30 dollars, and as all the content was already in it, I told myself "why not" I am only now realizing the in order for me to enjoy the whole content I either need friends who play it regularly (which I don"t have) or join a clan that makes events. As such I was wondering if the AJSA has any clan on the PS4, and if some members still play it. I work in 7x24 so I my playtime is limited to my time and energy, but I"d love to go on the raids (of which I heard good things of) sometimes. Can anyone help me out in how to find the guild if it still exists. Thank you in advance
  6. This is an open letter to everyone in the AJSA PS4 Division Dear Everyone, I am posting this here because I wished to post this in the PS4 chat, but I felt it was too long, so I am putting it fully here. First off, I must give everyone within the PS4 Division a very heartfelt thank you. I found this community when I first got Overwatch for Christmas 2016, I was only level 15, and I kept on being matched up with twelve year olds in-game. Having been on the AJSA website for many years, I posted my request, my subtle plea - I just wanted somebody to play with. Somebody who wouldn't screw me over, who would look past the fact I was only a low level player in my first ever online multiplayer game, and actively help me become a better player. Enter WITHASTICK, the Community Leader who answered my call. At first, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, truth be told, I was scared. I was scared I would face the rejection I always do in real life, when you're an outlander like me who lives in a small town, where everyone knows everyone, having to continue being the lone wolf. But how do wolves live? In packs of course. It seemed I had finally found a pack that accepted me. Everyday, I wake up, I go to College, and I go home, sometimes work will take the place of college in that sequence but its the same sequence nonetheless. From the amount of moving around I do, its hard to make friends, I don't fit in with people where I live - my lifestyle, my ideals, my mentality is just too different. I used to dread going to college, knowing just how alone I was, but now, its changed. I may not know your real names, I may not know your faces, you may consider it sad, but I consider you all as friends. In the short time span I have been in the community, I already have so many memories to look back upon and smile about - be it being up late at night helping me with a stupidly complicated math problem whilst trying to calm me down, getting everybody ranked in Comp on Overwatch and dreading the result after exchanging placement horror stories, Torbjorn's corpse always getting POTG even after somebody got a triple kill as Symmetra, glitching guards in Dishonored, the amazing armor designs from For Honor, the Horion Zero Dawn hype, the Nioh tips, and everyone becoming digital photographers in an effort to get their picture on the community page. As I said before, I used to dread College, but now, I have something to look forward to, it makes the days shorter and less painful knowing that there's a group of people I can look forward to hanging out with, even if we don't know each other's names or faces. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You Yours Sincerely, ASOBlueRose - AJSA PS4 Division

  12. The Soul games over the years have become one of the most acclaimed franchises in gaming. Dark Souls 3 is the latest entry into the Souls series, and much like it’s title- it’s one hell of a Dark game. From the design of the monsters, the carved landscapes, the deep subtle lore and storytelling, even the air itself reeks of the games dark nature. But admiring the game isn’t your challenge, no. Your challenge is to complete achievements in Dark Souls 3 for my pleasure. So brave Champion... Will you embrace the darkness, or will you die? Update: The Champion has claimed Victory over April's Community Challenge "Will You Die?". However, I encourage everyone to still try and complete the challenge. As when the article goes up to name our Champion, those who at least complete the challenge will be honored alongside the Champion. The article goes up 4/25/16, meaning you have until than to be honored with the Champion. Be FIRST to obtain ALL three selected Dark Souls 3 in-game Achievements/Trophies (any platform). *To avoid ANY Dark Souls 3 spoilers, the Achievements/Trophies descriptions will not be displayed. However, links of the descriptions are provided for those who wish to know them.* Iudex Gundyr (Description Link) Untended Graves (Description Link) The End of Fire (Description Link) Enter your claim to Victory entry here. Enter your claim to Victory entry before 04/25/16. Must display proof showing you’ve earned these three in-game Achievements/Trophies (PC, PS4, XB1). All three in-game Achievements/Trophies must be earned after 04/12/16, and display proof of this (Sorry Japanese players and Non-Japanese earlier buyers). The date will be applied to Global Times. Example if you're living in a timezone and you get your game at 10:00 pm in your Timezone, as long as somewhere in the world it has turned 12:01 am 04/12/16 at the time you earned these trophies you are okay. Your proof must be entered here I will not accept private message entries of any kind, from any source of messaging.
  13. First off I would like to say thank you for letting me be a part of your massive online community, even though I guess no one really approved it or not. I have been following Angry Joe's Youtube channel for several months, most of the time playing it in the background as I work on the computer and I am happy to say that I love his honest and analytical approach perfectly blended with a satirical undertone. I am not a fan of twitch shooters anymore nor have I had very much experience with any kind of online multiplayer games other than Call of Duty or Battlefield. Those two series have plummeted to a very dark place since I began playing many years ago. I have been a complete Final Fantasy fanboy for the better part of 18 years ever since I first put in Final Fantasy 7 in 1997. I have played every title that has been released since and makes my new found transition to Xbox all the more strange for most to understand. I actually have had both consoles from each generation but ultimately I decided on the Xbox One. I have a limited number of titles at my fingertips at the moment but plan on expanding my library in the coming months. I have enjoyed the gun-porn of Borderlands along with they nostalgia of Dragonball Xenoverse. Of course I have completed Final Fantasy Type-0 and am in the process of finishing Batman Arkham Knight. I am a completionist in the full sense of the meaning and will not play some games due to the "impossible challenges" that some pose. Impossible is a stretch for sure but I hate the idea of grinding continuously for achievements that make me dislike the title such as "Seriously" from Gears of War. I actually am disappointed because the title I was most excited about playing has one of the such achievements called "Emperor." This approach may be disgraceful in some players eyes but I am always going to be consciousness of which titles I begin because I intend to finish them in their entirety before retiring them to the Cabinet of Classics. Feel free to add me on Xbox Live or here in the forums and I do look forward to exploring what the Angry Joe Army is all about and what it offers to gamers that follow a different path.
  14. THE AJSA COH2 COMMUNITY I've noticed that the Angry Army lacks a proper sub-section in Teamspeak for the game Company of Heroes 2, one that I play frequently. It'd be great if we were to unite all of the COH2 (or just COH in general) AJSA players, by offering them a place to hang out in the Teamspeak server. So, what do you brave soldiers think? Should we opt for a section of our own in the Teamspeak? Or is it too crowded with other games already? More than occasionally, I log into Teamspeak, only to find others playing other games. Perhaps, if we added COH under the Community Games tab, we'd encourage those feeling left out to hop in for some old fashioned, WWII warfare. I say, lets unite the AJSA COH community! Lets have a war room (chat room) of our own in our glorious Teamspeak! Until then, approved or denied, you'll find me at the front-lines.

  16. As long as I've been a part of the AJSA, I've always wanted some way to express our community spirit in energetic format. Our motto is good, Joe is our leader, and sure, singing (badly) the AJS theme works sometimes, but in the heat and heart of the moment, these are cumbersome and awkward. How about a greeting/war cry/war chant we can use to pump up and even scare our enemies? As you can see, my signature contains what I would recommend as ours. Semper Iratus, which is latin/faux latin (as it is not fully grammatically correct), means "Always Angry". I think this is appropriate. It sounds epic, is short, has legit meaning, and can be used in a variety of situations and ways. If you would like to have this be considered as our combi-chant/greeting, post below.
  17. Hi ! Wouldn't it be cool to make our own AJSA RPG minecraft server ? Because of Minecraft's open source nature and limitless customization potentiall, It's possible to make great RPG servers with community driven events an story. It could be the closest to our own in house made game as we can get. I'm experienced in minecraft server making, since I made alot of them back in the old bukkit days. I also have basic understanding of modding and adding new blocks to the game. Why do would we want something like that ? Minecraft RPG servers when well made, have very active and supportive community's. And from what I can see, We could use one right now. Please comment below and tell me, What's your opinion on the subject. Sincerely, Doctor_GLaDOS
  18. First off I am a big fan of the communities supported games, such as battlefield 4, Destiny, GTA, SMITE and other titles I really enjoy playing. its really nice to see events being set up and an active community. But lets get to it I couldn't help but notice a lack of supported racing games. I am a HUGE.... huge fan of racing games! That's what I grew up on and while I like the other genres racing is in my roots. I'm not the only one. With titles like Forza, MX vs ATV, Need For Speed, Grand Turismo, NASCAR, Dirt ... and even more titles that are coming up and the racing community is growing. So here's a list of the games I feel like should be considered with a few of their reasons: Forza - One of the best Xbox exclusive games. Can host multiple online community events where people can show their skills, Show off their cool cars. Create a car club and share cars with each other and much more.MXGP- One of my personal favorite motocross games besides MX SIMULATOR. With MXGP for XB1 and PS4 online tournaments are made easy and can vary from a one day points race or into a race season with certain race days during the week. Physics in this game are amazing for a console and know to be the OFFICAL MOTOCROSS GAMEMX vs ATV - this game I'm skeptical about its an amazing motocross series but after their game ALIVE the series was kind of replaced by MXGP, But still fairs a decent size community and maybe future games will be more online group friendly and is worth keeping an eye onGrand Turismo - Kind of a Forza for PlayStation, I don't know much about this game I've only played a couple of times but when I did there wasn't any shortage of players. The community is rather large and I'm pretty sure offers what Forza can offerNeed for Speed - The titles I grew up playing on. With their most recent addition of what they call their "remake" this title deserves a good shot, love the older series and it seems that's what's coming back. Just got my hands on a copy but loving it as it is and more free dlc content and PC access, expands this title for the futureThese are just a couple of suggestions, I really love the website and the angry army community. I feel these types of games would serve nice in the community, giving something different than RPG's and FPS's, While keeping the community together for a greater gaming experience. Thanks for reading
  19. Hey guys, this is my first time on the forum so I'd like to apologise if someone else has already discussed something similar and I've missed it. I've been watching Joe's videos for a while (though not as long as some of the true AJ veterans on here, I'm sure) and recently I've been finding myself yearning for the classic rants, the reviews of terrible games like Ride to Hell Redemption and Mindjack etc. The Destiny review remains to this day my favourite Angry Joe video of all time, it was enjoyable from start to finish. However, initially I couldn't explain why this was. Was it simply a case of nostalgia making those videos far better than they were? After all, when I watched the original Xbox One rant, it was the first Angry Joe rant I'd ever seen and it really stayed with me as an experience, and perhaps that was part of why I enjoyed so many of videos in that period in particular. Or was it that the reviews simply came out very late? At the time when I initially watched the Destiny review, I didn't know the first thing about Bungie, or anything like that - so everything in the video was new for me and made it that much more interesting. When I watched the Red Dead Redemption review, I was at a point where I'd already played the game and loved it, and I can admit that mostly, I just wanted to hear Joe's affirmation. But as time went on I started following gaming news more closely and so when titles like MGSV and Witcher 3 came out I had already decided before release that I wanted them, and that I didn't want to sample any reviews until I had played them. Therefore, the only reviews I was watching were ones that either involved gaming controversy that I was already aware of (and wanted good ol' Angry Joe's reaction on) like Arkham Knight, or bringing attention to games that I'd never heard of before, such as the SUPERHOT video. So with that in mind, there are those two possible explanations for why I was finding myself missing "the old Joe". I recognise the fact that as a content creator he likes to keep things as fresh as possible, and that's his right. But I honestly think there's a third aspect to it as well. For me personally, I've been feeling that over time Joe has become disenchanted with the gaming industry and the gaming community in general. With some of the older videos, you really got a sense that Joe cared deeply about the gaming industry and community, and was passionate about all the games he reviewed - not just the ones he passionately loved but the ones he hated as well. We all know that gaming companies have been engaging in shitty practices, and getting away with it. The gaming community has been vocal enough on social media but putting their money where their mouth is. For example, EA would not have 120 dollar editions of games if they didn't sell, and for watchers of the show it's very easy to say "who the fuck would do that?" but clearly enough people do that it was deemed a worthy investment. Only certain obviously poor business decisions have been punished by consumers, such as Arkham Knight's PC port, or Xbox One's various "features". Even in those instances, companies have been reluctant to act and I feel that in the case of WB in particular, they would not have acted as swiftly as they did were it not for the introduction of the Steam refund system. It also seems like companies are continuously testing the limits of consumer patience by releasing more and more shoddy and unfinished products on release at the same retail price, whilst claiming that it is OK because they will be adding more content in the future. Whether this content is paid or free is mostly unimportant because the bottom line is that people are paying more for less, and they are okay with it. Games with 4 hour stories, or no singleplayer, no splitscreen (looking at you, Halo 5), and other features missing or smacking of laziness are being released and still selling. Eventually, this must feel like a broken record for Joe, especially since him and so many other prominent Youtube gaming experts have not only publicly criticised these practices but also encouraged consumers to be actively wary of Early Access, Kickstarter etc. in a bid to stop people accepting sub-standard products. Still these games are being released and the trend is becoming alarmingly common. Not only that, but some fanboys are staunchly defending every aspect of these games, and attacking anyone who disagrees. I feel like this aspect in particular would be disheartening as the days of single complete products upon release are fading, with more and more companies feeling confident that they can produce less and charge more. This could be down to the vocal portion of the gaming community becoming younger over time - back in the day (early 2000s) I didn't play PC games, and I didn't really have standards for games, I just played what I liked. It was only when I got into PC gaming and looked at forums that I understood a) how not everything in games are intended by the developer and b ) how horrible people online can be when they have the convenience and protection of internet anonymity. More and more kids are finding that they can attack others behind aliases and not suffer consequences. It must be so thrilling to call someone a useless piece of shit that their mom should have swallowed when they're not quite up to your gaming standard, and then put down the controller because you're being called to dinner. From personal experience I find that younger communities can be really, really horrible. Mainly because kids are jerks anyway. I'm losing track of the picture here. My point is, I feel like kids are totally okay with having to pay more for sub standard products because a) they don't have quite the same grasp of the value of money and b ) mom and dad pay for it anyway and c) they won't be considered cool unless they have the ultimate edition and will cry bloody murder until they get it. I get that a lot of this is what is similar to what Joe has said or implied. I think he said at the end of his Halo 5 video something along the lines of "this is what gaming is now". It's really sad that as a critic he feels he has to mention the fact that his review is about the state of the game at release about 20 million times because of rabid fanboys that will viciously attack anything. So yeah, I felt like with his latest review, he seemed almost resigned to it. Not quite the passionate angry Joe that we know, more mellowed out and accepting of the fact that the gaming industry is on a path that it is unlikely to deviate from. I don't blame him. Disclaimer: this is just my opinion and I'm by no means an expert, so please if you disagree feel free to say something.
  20. Hello all Please add me to Star Citizen AJSA Community SC nickname: Alfife also Steam: Alfife
  21. So, i have been playing CS:GO since its Beta. From time to time playing, and other times taking a break because of life & other games. With CSGO gaining a competitive matchmaking system. There are now lots of people playing CSGO again, some say competitive matchmaking is the best thing they could possibly have added, to CS:GO. I personally agree. But i find that the game has some problems, not in its design or anything, but with its community. And here's what troubles me as of late: Competitive matchmaking is filled with hackers/cheaters, most of the time, you cannot go online, play a match, without finding someone fishy, or obviously hacking! For me, it ruins the entire experience. Of course there are the community servers... Which i mostly try to avoid playing on, because.. Well you probably know why. ( 24 man dust2 match's everywhere where anyone can leave at will which is not really fun for me) There's this overwatch thing they put in, to get sneaky cheaters. Does it even work? Because apparently people just buy a new cheap copy of the game and start doing there thing once again. (I bet valve earns lots of cash lol) And there are the smurfs, which go back to silver to troll, or just go and try to play on a lower rank to avoid the cheaters, making it kinda unfair for the lower ranks who may or may not play as well as the smurfs. Though, i must admit, when you find that one match, with your friends, where no one is clearly a cheater, where the scores are tied, and everything is nostalgic, and people are polite and sportive till the last round. That, that makes me just wanna play more, but that seems rare nowadays. At least for me. And sometimes you find one of those community servers with zombie mod on it, or surf, death-run etc... Which i find kinda cool depending. (These community modes made cs:s popular right?) I have not shared my views on some other things in the game because they do not bother me really. So my question to you is, do you still find CS:GO enjoyable? With its flaws in the community. If Yes/No, please state why? Do you find common ground in what i typed? Is something bothering you about the game? Please let me know what you think of the game as of late :-) Forgive my english lol
  22. Earlier last year, The Repopulation went into a public alpha, claiming to be a sandbox mmorpg with influence from SWG and Ultima Online. Joe did a stream on it, but unfortunately I missed it. Please leave opinions and thoughts about its current, and planned features. Note that this is not a post about wanting to see the game become official, but rather seeing who is interested and what is known about this title.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie_pPYZNjk0
  23. Hey guys I just wanted to bring up the problem of players not improving because of disencouragement from random players mainly about asking the question "why" which i go into later in the post I would really appreciate it if you read this carefully and don't get the wrong idea from it. Let me know what you think! I find this a problem in nearly every game of League now from randoms to communities and groups of friends and this is it. Although league brings us together it also causes countless arguments. Theres people who can keep it in say your friend feeds. Then there are others who think its ok to just tell someone how bad they are no matter how well they know them and the worst part is they never say what you did wrong or how you can improve! This is the problem how can someone get any better if you simply say why? I am guilty of this and looking back on it I feel horrible about it. A big part of league is mistakes and you have to learn to capitalize on them if the enemy makes one. Also you learn from your mistakes allowing you to not let it happen again. But this can be extremely difficult when someone just asks you why when they could be suggesting something you could have done differently. Thats the mindset that gets you places, I feel that the word "why" is very contageous throughout the LoL community and we have to work around it instead of using it as an excuse. Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone I just find it hard to believe that we have all done this at some point and its just so immature, so i think we should realise that helping eachother makes a better game for all of us! p.s Sorry about the long post thought I would get this off my chest haha!
  24. Hello fellow angry army xbox one gamers. I created an idea on a website that I wrote in the topic above, that was about Microsoft giving gaming communities on the internet like the Angry Army and also physical established gaming communities in the EU/USA/North America the ability to form e-sport teams, (for example EU team vs North America team ) for international gaming tournaments for games like Destiny, Cod(Advanced Warfare) and compete against each-other. Whatever game that fits the e-sport genre. To clarify, for example one gaming community team from Europe faces another gaming community from another country in Europe, the same for other gaming communities in North America.Whatever country wins most matches goes up against the AJSA's xbox one Army. Microsoft could give gaming communities on the internet like Angry Joe's AJSA community aka the Angry Army and also other physical existing gaming communities in the Europe and North America the ability to recruit a team, (for example EU team vs North America team)) for international xbox one gaming tournaments for games like Destiny, Cod(Advanced Warfare) and compete against each-other. Whatever game that fits the e-sport genre. Different teams could exist for various games and the teams could be rotated depending on what game is up for the tournament. If you guys think this idea sounds good and is possible to execute please let fellow angry army gamers know about this idea here on the forum and tell them to vote if they like this idea, you can click on the link below this text to log in to the website with your xbox one/360 gamertag and vote on my idea. Please click on the topic when you find it for additional info on what I mean, and read the comments to. Many thanks if you could do this and share it on twitter from the website if you wish to for more and faster votes. I've already forwarded this to a gaming community in my own country and will reply back here if they do respond. I think this could be a good thing for the AJSA xbox one community as well if executed right. Update: xbox one game officer doshka 17 is maybe going to forward my link/ idea to his commander to maybe try to advertise it better. Thanks guys. https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/251647-gaming-achievements/suggestions/6192466-arrange-tournaments-of-numerous-multiplayer-games
